00:00:23the assignment there is no such thing as the absence of problems you'll only experience the
00:00:28exchange of problems now you're getting ready to watch this message and i'm going to ask you to do

00:00:47all right guys let's go to the book of jeremiah chapter number 20 beginning at verse number seven
00:00:52jeremiah chapter number 20 beginning at verse number seven and uh i'm reading from the new
00:00:57international version this is what it says this is jeremiah talking he said you deceived me lord
00:01:00and i was deceived you overpowered me and prevailed i'm ridiculed all day long everyone mocks me
00:01:06whenever i speak i cry out proclaiming violence and destruction so the word of the lord has brought
00:01:12me insult and reproach all day long but if i say i will not mention his word or speak anymore in his
00:01:17name his word is in my heart like fire shut up in my bones i am weary of holding it in indeed i cannot
00:01:26i want to talk from this subject today are y'all ready here it is i misunderstood the assignment
00:01:32i misunderstood clap your hands if you're ready for god's word everybody
00:01:39family in this series called headaches we've attempted to articulate a number of truths
00:01:49in our time together today i want to regurgitate one that i think is extremely important and yet often
00:01:55overlooked this principle is going to be captured in this axiom it is one thing to have a headache
00:02:03because of something we did it's another thing to have a headache for simply doing something god told you
00:02:11to do family i'm simply suggesting that every divine assignment is accompanied by some unique agitation
00:02:20there is no such thing as a problem free space whenever you anytime god to me do something
00:02:29is better than the choice that i would have made
00:02:32okay you change spaces you are simply exchanging one set of problems for another when you go from single to
00:02:43married you will not experience the absence of problems you simply exchanged one set of problems
00:02:57for another when you transition from working yes to working for yourself you will not experience the absence of
00:03:09problems you simply exchanged one set of problems for the next am i making sense and ladies and gentlemen
00:03:18it's incredibly important that we wrap our head around this because if not we will not properly
00:03:24execute and understand divine assignments because we will assume that you can have a calling without a cross
00:03:29did you hear what i just said here's what the hymnologist said i'm gonna see if i got any old school church
00:03:35girls here must jesus bear only about 23 or you noticed the cross alone and all this world go free
00:03:41no there's a cross for everyone one person knows it and there's a cross for me jesus put it this way
00:03:47if any person wants to follow me come on let them deny themselves is that the book take up their cross
00:03:55and follow me darius what is a cross the cross is simply a metaphor remember i taught you this there are
00:04:01three types of inconveniences in life storms thorns and crosses all our trouble fits within one of those
00:04:10three categories it's a storm it's a thorn or it's a cross a storm is a temporary season of inconvenience
00:04:17intended to be used by the enemy to get us to act impulsively because our impulsive goodbye okay open up
00:04:24the word and interpret it because now he's gonna go off and make his own stuff i've told you what that
00:04:30means you can't tell me how how hard this is for me this assignment because guess what it's not hard
00:04:35because the holy spirit's running the show i'm relaxed i'm fine i'm in the comfort of the lord
00:04:42now if there's something i don't want to do because my my own personal wants is in the way
00:04:53it's gonna be hard for me it's gonna be heavy but i want to do this that's not my assignment
00:05:00so of course it's gonna be hard why because i'm fighting i'm not actually being obedient
00:05:06i'm fighting being what obedient to god activity in the storm will destroy us when the storm came
00:05:16it is a temporary season of inconvenience keyword is temporary it came to pass she got it it came
00:05:25to pass i said it came to pass some storms you just have to outlast you got to make a decision at
00:05:30some point one of us is going to quit first and it's not going to be me at some point something's
00:05:35got to shift and something's got to change and when it shifts and changes i'll still be standing is
00:05:39talking about shifting and changing what
00:05:42because he's just hoping that he can just say these words but he's not going to explain it
00:05:48explain it because it's very simple i obey god and everything works out he won't say that why
00:05:54because he wants to seem like he has something more to tell you he's not appointed as a teacher
00:05:57he's a false teacher false prophet sir sit down listen to the word lord over your life you're not a
00:06:02preacher you're putting on a show you're trying to entertain with words
00:06:05he's trying to entertain you instead of teach the child of god very entertaining and like he's putting
00:06:13on a show
00:06:13it looks like that kind of stage it looks like you can have like a band up there or something
00:06:23but he's not there to stand there and actually teach from the holy spirit because the holy spirit's in
00:06:28control now when i'm in obedience to the lord
00:06:35it's very light my life is wonderful because i'm being obedient
00:06:42if i feel some kind of feelings or emotions god gives me comfort i have to keep running to god
00:06:51because the devil can question me say you can question you demons they can ask you a question
00:06:57are you really happy yes or you say the name of jesus
00:07:02i'm very happy because that's what's gonna happen until you take your last breath he's allowed to ask
00:07:11you a question why because you're not actually in the garden of eden you're in the hedge of protection
00:07:16you have to choose god daily
00:07:19anybody that's made a decision you're gonna have a stare down with your storm
00:07:26and let the storm know i've come too far to turn around now
00:07:29that's a storm
00:07:31so he's preaching to you what that there's gonna be storms and problems
00:07:35not over here it's not
00:07:36why because i'm in obedience to god
00:07:38i'm in obedience
00:07:43so why would there be a storm
00:07:44oh that means i actually did take my eyes off god
00:07:47i'm going through a storm because i actually believe satan
00:07:50and the question he asked me
00:07:52actually bit
00:07:54the apple
00:07:54that's when you have problems
00:07:57he's not saying that
00:07:58he's saying that's normal for you to have storms and no it's not
00:08:01but then there's a thorn
00:08:02well the apostle paul talks about this in second corinthians chapter 12
00:08:05it says because of the bonus of revelation that was given unto me a thorn in the flesh a messenger of satan to buffet me
00:08:09he calls this unidentified issue he says it's a thorn
00:08:12this is an instrument of action
00:08:16open up the word sir so the holy spirit can interpret it
00:08:20he's not he's picking and choosing what to say
00:08:23why because he thinks he's above the word
00:08:25sit down false teacher false prophet
00:08:27you're not allowed to stand there and just say
00:08:29hear this and that from the word
00:08:31open up the word
00:08:33and read it so that we can look at the context
00:08:37agitation
00:08:38that's sent by the enemy
00:08:40that's intended
00:08:41to cause me to abandon my assignment
00:08:43message of saying
00:08:45to buffet me
00:08:46buffet means to strike repeatedly
00:08:47it's not killing me
00:08:49it's just bothering me
00:08:50so it's a
00:08:54how can satan bother you
00:08:56that's right
00:08:58you didn't rebuke him
00:08:59agitation that the enemy sends
00:09:02because he wants us to abandon the assignment because of the agitation
00:09:04he wants us to say i don't have to take this
00:09:05that's not
00:09:08but then there's a cross
00:09:09which is the inconvenience you choose to endure
00:09:13because you value your calling
00:09:15more than comfort
00:09:16see
00:09:19he's a liar
00:09:20okay
00:09:21see he's saying you have truth
00:09:23and half a lie
00:09:25why
00:09:27because it's not true
00:09:28in my assignment there is comfort
00:09:30because i'm being obedient to god
00:09:31but he's not
00:09:32experiencing that
00:09:34why
00:09:34because he got dealing with false prophecy
00:09:35false teaching
00:09:36god did not call you
00:09:37so he's going to tell you
00:09:38half truth and lie
00:09:39he's trying to tell you that you have to be uncomfortable
00:09:40to work for god
00:09:41that's a lie
00:09:42i have more comfort
00:09:45doing it god's way
00:09:46than my way
00:09:47my life is better doing it god's way
00:09:53than my way
00:09:55he takes care of me
00:09:57he loves me
00:09:58i can use all of my gifts
00:10:02all of my talents
00:10:03and my assignment
00:10:03there's nothing missing
00:10:07so what is he talking about
00:10:09he's talking about his what
00:10:10experience
00:10:11with that demon
00:10:12you can pick up the cross
00:10:13and you can let it down
00:10:14you're not in control of a storm
00:10:16you're not in control of a thorn
00:10:17but you are in control
00:10:19of the cross
00:10:20and there is no such thing
00:10:24the cross is what
00:10:26i'm saved
00:10:26that's how i pick it up
00:10:28why
00:10:28that's how i pick up the cross
00:10:31i'm going to tell you
00:10:32how good he's been
00:10:33to me
00:10:34he doesn't make my life
00:10:37difficult and hard
00:10:38god is good
00:10:43see
00:10:44that statement
00:10:45it's the truth
00:10:48that scripture
00:10:50is the truth
00:10:51because
00:10:52he is
00:10:54meaning that he's
00:10:55good
00:10:56he does not treat me bad
00:10:58he doesn't talk to me bad
00:10:59he doesn't hurt my feelings
00:11:00he doesn't ghost me
00:11:02he doesn't disappear
00:11:03when i reach
00:11:04he's there
00:11:05so why would he make this
00:11:09uncomfortable for me
00:11:10when i'm being obedient
00:11:11your child's doing very good
00:11:15getting straight A's
00:11:16they're polite
00:11:17they keep their room clean
00:11:18they help you cook
00:11:20they take the dog out
00:11:23for a walk
00:11:24they smile
00:11:26they say thank you
00:11:27no thank you
00:11:29i got that
00:11:30i'll do that
00:11:31no problem
00:11:32you gonna treat them bad
00:11:33no you're not
00:11:34you're gonna
00:11:37you're probably gonna
00:11:38spoil them
00:11:38and when you do
00:11:40get them what they want
00:11:41they start crying
00:11:42because they're
00:11:43a very appreciative child
00:11:44they love you
00:11:46they tell you
00:11:46they come hug you
00:11:47and they tell you
00:11:48that they love you
00:11:48they're just a beautiful
00:11:49kid
00:11:50so why would you
00:11:52treat them badly
00:11:53why would you
00:11:54say you know what
00:11:55you've been really good
00:11:57you're grounded for a week
00:11:58what
00:12:00you're not gonna do that
00:12:01you're gonna what
00:12:03you're gonna bless them
00:12:04you're gonna
00:12:05you're gonna say
00:12:05i wonder what they want
00:12:06i have to
00:12:07i have to come through
00:12:08i have to get this
00:12:09for my baby
00:12:10you're going to show them
00:12:12that they're
00:12:13on the right track
00:12:14and that they're
00:12:15a good person
00:12:16and that you see them
00:12:17and god
00:12:18think about how god
00:12:19does that for you
00:12:20when you're obedient
00:12:21there's no such thing
00:12:29as a problem
00:12:30free space
00:12:31that's a lie
00:12:33because all you have
00:12:34to do is what
00:12:35i repeat
00:12:35you say the name
00:12:36of jesus
00:12:36i repeat
00:12:40you say the name
00:12:41of jesus
00:12:41that's all you have
00:12:42to do
00:12:42life is good
00:12:46i'm simply
00:12:48exchanging
00:12:49one set of problems
00:12:50for another
00:12:52are y'all okay today
00:12:54okay i'm just trying
00:12:55to feel the vibe
00:12:56in the room
00:12:56because what you're
00:12:58saying is a lie
00:12:59boo
00:12:59okay
00:13:00when you get
00:13:01so you're telling
00:13:02child of god
00:13:02that they're going
00:13:03to exchange
00:13:04one problem
00:13:04for the next
00:13:05then what's important
00:13:06to get saved
00:13:07see he's lying
00:13:09he's trying to tell
00:13:09you that
00:13:10saved or not
00:13:11you're going to
00:13:11have problems
00:13:12that's a lie
00:13:12that's a lie
00:13:14you're going to
00:13:17have problems
00:13:18with demons
00:13:18the lord takes care
00:13:20of my problems
00:13:21he solves them
00:13:22what problems
00:13:22he takes care
00:13:23of me
00:13:23what are you
00:13:28talking about
00:13:28because if
00:13:31something did
00:13:31happen
00:13:32it will be
00:13:32smooth
00:13:33oh i got
00:13:38that got that
00:13:39this is
00:13:40everything's
00:13:40working out
00:13:40this is
00:13:41oh
00:13:42i skipped
00:13:43told just
00:13:44skip me over
00:13:44that problem
00:13:45he saved my
00:13:46life
00:13:46no not i didn't
00:13:47get into a car
00:13:48crash because god
00:13:49moved my car
00:13:49i don't have
00:13:52to do with that
00:13:53because god
00:13:54changed their
00:13:54heart
00:13:55so what are you
00:13:59talking about
00:13:59problems i don't
00:14:00have no problems
00:14:01and ladies and
00:14:07gentlemen i am
00:14:08saying that
00:14:09there are some
00:14:10assignments that
00:14:11are creating
00:14:11headaches not
00:14:13because of the
00:14:13assignment themselves
00:14:14but because of the
00:14:15way we see it
00:14:16what is
00:14:17are you talking
00:14:18about see he's
00:14:19not being
00:14:19specific because
00:14:20you can only get
00:14:20your assignment
00:14:21from the lord
00:14:21so he's saying
00:14:22that god
00:14:22give you a
00:14:23difficult assignment
00:14:23no he does
00:14:24not it's
00:14:24something that
00:14:25you love
00:14:25it's a part
00:14:26of your
00:14:26your talents
00:14:27are being
00:14:27used your
00:14:28desire is
00:14:29there everything
00:14:29you want is
00:14:31wrapped up in
00:14:32that assignment
00:14:33it makes sense
00:14:34for you it
00:14:35makes you happy
00:14:36and it brings
00:14:36you joy so
00:14:37what are you
00:14:37talking about
00:14:38maybe there's
00:14:39nothing wrong
00:14:40with your
00:14:40assignment maybe
00:14:41there's something
00:14:41wrong with the
00:14:42way you see it
00:14:43some misery comes
00:14:45from misunderstanding
00:14:46the assignment
00:14:46and we have a
00:14:48powerful picture of
00:14:49this in the book
00:14:49of jeremiah
00:14:50this gentleman
00:14:50named jeremiah
00:14:51is introduced
00:14:52to us in an
00:14:53amazingly impactful
00:14:54way i mean the
00:14:55tone and the
00:14:55tenor of his
00:14:56calling is one of
00:14:57the most profound
00:14:57in all the
00:14:58scriptures god
00:14:59speaks to jeremiah
00:15:00in jeremiah 1
00:15:01saying to him before
00:15:01i formed you in
00:15:02your mother's womb
00:15:03i knew you your
00:15:04parents made you
00:15:04but i formed you
00:15:05they made you i
00:15:06formed you they
00:15:07conceived you i
00:15:08crafted you
00:15:08did you hear what
00:15:10i just said he
00:15:10said i crafted you
00:15:11your strengths and
00:15:12your abilities and
00:15:13your weaknesses and
00:15:13your personality i
00:15:15designed you for
00:15:15destiny i wired you
00:15:16for a work i
00:15:17cracked at you for
00:15:18a calling you
00:15:19are not this is
00:15:19when they start to
00:15:20say the same thing
00:15:21over and over again
00:15:21because they're not
00:15:22called okay they
00:15:24waste your time
00:15:24he's he hasn't said
00:15:27anything it's been
00:15:2710 minutes
00:15:28operating with a
00:15:30deficit you may have
00:15:30some dysfunction but
00:15:31you don't have a
00:15:32deficit because i put
00:15:33everything in you that
00:15:34needed to be in you to
00:15:35do what i called you
00:15:36to do it may be in
00:15:37you in a latent
00:15:38form and you hadn't
00:15:38tapped into it yet but
00:15:39he's gonna get you to
00:15:40a season of your life
00:15:41where he wakes up
00:15:42the sleeping giant on
00:15:43the inside of you
00:15:45he says to jeremiah
00:15:46before i found you
00:15:47in the muzzle i knew
00:15:48you i sanctified you
00:15:50i ordained you as a
00:15:52prophet to the nation
00:15:53get to it i can't do
00:15:54that i'm but a youth
00:15:55meaning i'm inexperienced
00:15:56and god didn't deny the
00:15:58reality of jeremiah's
00:15:58inexperience he just
00:15:59stopped him from
00:16:00speaking those
00:16:01limitations he said he
00:16:02didn't say jeremiah
00:16:02you're not young
00:16:03open the word
00:16:04open the word
00:16:06see he's just
00:16:08talking from his
00:16:09intelligence of what
00:16:10he studied from the
00:16:10word but he needs to
00:16:11read it verbatim for
00:16:12you child of god so
00:16:13that you can go back
00:16:14see what he's talking
00:16:15about because what
00:16:16he's talking about is
00:16:18a lie there's no
00:16:19uncomfort when you're
00:16:20in your assignment
00:16:20did you hear what i
00:16:21just said he said
00:16:22don't say it in other
00:16:23words don't keep
00:16:23speaking those
00:16:24limitations over your
00:16:25life because you will
00:16:26talk to you more than
00:16:26anyone else you talk
00:16:27to you more than god
00:16:28talks to you you talk
00:16:29to you more than
00:16:29friends talk to you you
00:16:30talk to you more than
00:16:30family talk to you you
00:16:31talking to you when you
00:16:32don't even realize that
00:16:33you're talking to you
00:16:33and you gotta learn how
00:16:34to talk to you if
00:16:36you wouldn't let
00:16:36anyone else talk to
00:16:37you that way don't
00:16:38talk to yourself that
00:16:38way oh we need to
00:16:40practice in here today
00:16:41i said we need to
00:16:42practice some self
00:16:43talk we need to break
00:16:44some self-sabotaging
00:16:45behavior and some
00:16:45destructive habits come
00:16:46on say it with me i'm
00:16:47healed i'm blessed i'm
00:16:49strong i'm whole i'm
00:16:51favored i'm prospering
00:16:52i'm the head not the
00:16:54tail i'm above not
00:16:56beneath i'm the lender
00:16:57not the barber i'm more
00:16:59than a conqueror if god
00:17:01be for me he's more
00:17:03than the world against me
00:17:05and the devil is
00:17:06defeated somebody give
00:17:08god a praise right
00:17:09there
00:17:09self-talk he said
00:17:16jeremiah don't don't
00:17:17you are inexperienced
00:17:18but don't keep repeating
00:17:18your limitations because
00:17:20all it is doing is
00:17:21creating and cementing
00:17:22limiting beliefs
00:17:23it's this amazing thing
00:17:26he says i'm gonna be
00:17:26with you you're gonna
00:17:27pull down and you're
00:17:28gonna root up it's
00:17:29amazing jeremiah said
00:17:30i'm gonna do all of
00:17:31that he said yeah
00:17:31show me show me in
00:17:35the word but then we
00:17:37read jeremiah chapter
00:17:3820
00:17:38jeremiah said you
00:17:42deceived me come on
00:17:44come on come on come
00:17:44on did you hear what i
00:17:45just said he's talking
00:17:46one way in chapter one
00:17:47but he's talking another
00:17:48way of chapter 20 he's
00:17:49talking one way at the
00:17:50wedding but why why
00:17:51would he be talking
00:17:52differently why
00:17:54he's jumping around so
00:18:02we can't get the
00:18:02context why so he can
00:18:05for that he wants to
00:18:05talk about he stays on
00:18:07there he's not going to
00:18:08just go ahead and read
00:18:08it so the holy spirit can
00:18:10break it down he's going
00:18:12to skip around
00:18:12come on yeah he's talking
00:18:17one way when he leave
00:18:17that job only thing that
00:18:19can take my eyes off of
00:18:21god is is a question
00:18:23from the devil and me
00:18:24believing in listening
00:18:26to it why because i'm
00:18:31fighting against the
00:18:32assignment i don't want
00:18:33to do it i don't want
00:18:35to get on here and be
00:18:37on camera and talk to
00:18:39people who i can't see
00:18:42and no i can't do that
00:18:46i have to say yes lord
00:18:48because why it's about
00:18:50the body of christ it's
00:18:53about me listening to
00:18:54the lord so something i
00:18:58heard is saying i
00:19:00shouldn't do it and i
00:19:02believe that voice over
00:19:03god of course he's
00:19:05talking that way i want
00:19:08to know that anybody
00:19:08honest enough to admit
00:19:09that you've seen some
00:19:10incongruency and some
00:19:12inconsistency in your
00:19:13communication in chapter
00:19:14one versus your
00:19:15communication in chapter
00:19:1520 it's like god when i
00:19:16said yes in chapter one i
00:19:18didn't know what was
00:19:18coming in chapter two
00:19:19you didn't tell me about
00:19:20chapter three and you
00:19:21didn't tell me about by
00:19:22the time i get to chapter
00:19:2220 i'm like you deceived
00:19:24me i had no idea what i
00:19:26was saying yes to you
00:19:27showed me some parts of my
00:19:28yes but you didn't show
00:19:29me all of my yes i want to
00:19:31know is there anybody
00:19:31honest enough to say i feel
00:19:33like there are times i was
00:19:34deceived no no no no i
00:19:39don't feel deceived by the
00:19:39lord see he's he's saying
00:19:42that jeremiah said that
00:19:44but is that true jeremiah's
00:19:48having a what experience so
00:19:50he's trying to put you in
00:19:51the word say that's you too
00:19:52no it's not just because
00:19:54jeremiah felt that way
00:19:55doesn't mean that i feel
00:19:56that way why because i'm
00:19:58keeping my eyes on god if
00:20:00you take your eyes off god
00:20:01and then so what you want i
00:20:03thought i was going to be
00:20:03doing this in my life i want
00:20:05this i wanted it to look like
00:20:07this that means i'm not
00:20:08keeping my eyes on the lord
00:20:10he's saying don't you
00:20:11understand your mind no i
00:20:12don't keep my eyes on him
00:20:13that's jeremiah's experience
00:20:16not mine because he's not
00:20:19called holy spirit told him
00:20:21that that's jeremiah's
00:20:22experience he's trying to
00:20:24make it your don't you feel
00:20:25that way too no i don't
00:20:26satan sit down shut up
00:20:28mr lord lord you are not
00:20:29called to child of god you're
00:20:31making it their experience
00:20:33with god and it's not it's not
00:20:36the truth i misunderstood
00:20:37the son
00:20:37when i was single i put my
00:20:41juice in the refrigerator and
00:20:42i left and i came back home
00:20:42my juice was there
00:20:44this is why it's so important
00:20:47to ask god who to listen to
00:20:49because he's trying to say
00:20:50don't you feel like you were
00:20:51deceived by god no i don't
00:20:52because there's my listen to
00:20:53him he's right
00:20:54just because i don't understand
00:21:03and see the full picture god does
00:21:07and that's enough for me
00:21:08but he's trying to say how he
00:21:13felt don't you feel that way
00:21:14instead of instead of teaching
00:21:16what the holy spirit was to
00:21:17teach he's teaching from his
00:21:18own intelligence and trying to
00:21:19say that's you you feel that
00:21:20way no i don't feel like i was
00:21:22deceived by god that's just his
00:21:23experience because he doesn't
00:21:26like the way something looks or
00:21:27he doesn't want to keep doing
00:21:29the assignment that's it that's
00:21:31all it is
00:21:36my juice was there when i left my
00:21:37juice was there when i got it
00:21:37i got married and i had kids and i
00:21:42put my juice in the refrigerator i go
00:21:43in the other room and i come back
00:21:44i was single my fries is my price
00:21:50i get married i go get some fries i
00:21:53ask you do you want some fries
00:21:54before i go get some fries you're
00:21:55like no i don't want some fries and i
00:21:56come back and i sit in the car and
00:21:57you're like let me get one fry i
00:21:59actually did you want some fries
00:22:00we talk one way in chapter one but
00:22:11another in chapter 20 and jeremiah
00:22:13saying god i feel deceived i want you
00:22:18to i want you to understand
00:22:18contextually what's happened god
00:22:20shared with jeremiah watch this what
00:22:24he would do he didn't share with
00:22:26jeremiah that most of the religious
00:22:27people he was speaking to wouldn't
00:22:29receive it
00:22:30does that matter no it's about what
00:22:38his relationship with the lord so
00:22:40what is god showing us in the word his
00:22:42relationship how he has how god has
00:22:45children who don't like their assignment
00:22:48but does that mean it's you no
00:22:50because it's possible jeremiah is
00:22:56listening to god talk about how god
00:22:58anointed him in chapter one and he
00:22:59didn't know i'm gonna be i'm gonna be
00:23:00rejected by the very people i'm anointed
00:23:02to help
00:23:03this is weird because god gives jeremiah
00:23:09prophetic ministry but then he gives
00:23:10him a unique prophetic message so
00:23:12jeremiah's got a choice now whether or
00:23:13not to be faithful to the message that
00:23:14god gave him and god did not give
00:23:16jeremiah a wow message and everybody
00:23:18or many people want to have a wow
00:23:19message he didn't get a wow message he
00:23:20got an owl message
00:23:21the stuff he said didn't make people say wow
00:23:25it made people say ow there's a whole book
00:23:28called lamentations
00:23:30where jeremiah is lamenting he is called the
00:23:35weeping prophet
00:23:35because many of his messages were messages he had to deliver with grief and he had to deliver warnings to israel regarding their recklessness and he's like god when you gave me the assignment you announced the assignment you didn't reveal the inconvenience you gave me the call
00:23:47but you didn't give me the cross i didn't know about this part are y'all here don't add or take away anything from the word see how you just added that now how do i know i don't know what he means by the cross because what i when i mean the cross i'm feeling insane i tell people about who god is he think it's something negative why because it's not called i mean the cross i'm feeling insane i tell people about who god is he think it's something negative why

00:24:17and ladies and gentlemen it can be that way in ministry it can be that way in marriage it can be that way in entrepreneurship it can be that way with promotions it can be that way with selling a house it can be that way with buying a house
00:24:27there is no such thing as the absence of problems there's only the exchange
00:24:32and so jeremiah is delivering delivering his prophetic message guys and i want you to understand what happens to him
00:24:39he is so hated by one of the temple officials that the temple official takes him to the gate of the city
00:24:44shackles him publicly and then flogs him 40 times
00:24:50this is why jeremiah said you deceive me because if you would have told me about this in chapter one
00:24:58i wouldn't have said yes
00:24:59but because there is no guile in god god wasn't being deceptive god was being deliberate
00:25:09he says there are times i intentionally withhold information from you
00:25:16until you get to a place and a space that i feel like it's necessary for you to be exposed to that
00:25:22because if mary you think about how you're going to roll the stone away before you leave the house
00:25:27you never leave
00:25:28did you hear what i just said he said i want you to get sometimes so far in the journey that you have
00:25:34no other choice but to stick with your yes and at this point in the journey i'm going to use that
00:25:38as a situation for me to give you a revelation not just the me but of you see god's not just trying
00:25:42to show you him god's also trying to show you you and sometimes he's got to put you in a situation
00:25:46where you're shackled and flawed so that you can yoke so that you can see a version of
00:25:49see how he's trying to say that that's you you're going to be in a situation god put you in a bad
00:25:54situation that's not true it's called either you're in the will of god
00:26:00well you can't escape the will you're in the will of god god knows how much you can take
00:26:09but that's not going to be your life your life you don't know that's why you have a relationship
00:26:17with the lord so he's saying you're going to have a situation where you're not going to know but what
00:26:22he's trying to say is that something bad could be coming why it's kind of like okay so something
00:26:28bad could be happening coming in my life did god show you that in your dream because you're talking
00:26:34to the lord right so you can't believe what he's saying why because it's a lie that happened to him
00:26:40not to you see god is the truth you can't tell me that because that happened to one person
00:26:50in the word that's going to happen to me something catastrophic or what what happened to him was you
00:26:57know
00:26:57it's bad right but that doesn't mean it's going to happen to me god talks to me we have our own
00:27:06relationship so why are you telling us this is it to scare them that something bad could be down the
00:27:12path and your assignment be quiet it's just to scare them yourself that you didn't know existed previous
00:27:17to that shackled publicly embarrassed flogged 40 see what he's saying he's trying to say that
00:27:29even though he's doing right by listening to be on beat to god that he got punished
00:27:35but it was just the will why because god is the glory no matter what
00:27:41you could say the same about jesus but in the end he had to be he his life he laid his life down for us
00:27:51so why is he bringing this up because you're not them you're not jesus you're not jeremiah so why is
00:27:57he saying this to scare you you may say no he's trying to say something on my path but why
00:28:03why is he saying this and jesus miles is saying if i knew in chapter one what was waiting on me in
00:28:10chapters two through 19 i wouldn't have done it

00:28:17jesus knew that he was the lamb of god so did john
00:28:26but does that matter
00:28:30you can't escape the will of god
00:28:34so why are you telling us this to make us fear god because we already do i know i do
00:28:41but he's trying to make you feel like
00:28:44god kept this secret from him and it's bad even though he's doing right why because he doesn't deal
00:28:51with him he's trying to say the child of god why why is he saying this does this make you feel more
00:28:59comfortable believe in god in your assignment no it makes you feel nervous like oh well maybe
00:29:04why because he has a deal with him you're not called sit down sir shut up let's see the word of god over
00:29:09your life this is not your assignment and you see why you're trying to um plant fear in the child of
00:29:13god about about the lord our god but what if i told you
00:29:18i don't know if y'all ready for what i'm about to say

00:29:25that although jeremiah didn't get all the information he wanted
00:29:29he did get more information than he thought he had
00:29:31and maybe he stopped listening
00:29:33during the parts of the conversation

00:29:38this is why you can't teach the child of god
00:29:41because what you just said was try to instill fear fear in them
00:29:45what god has for me is for me
00:29:54and i'll do it for him
00:29:58i'll do anything for him so why are you trying to instill fear
00:30:04false prophet more emotionally pleasurable for him
00:30:10because when i read jeremiah 1 when we read jeremiah 1
00:30:13we normally stop at verses 5 and 6
00:30:14before i form you in the mother's womb i knew you
00:30:17but that's not all god said in chapter 1
00:30:18in chapter 1 verse 17 god says get yourself ready
00:30:22did you hear what i just said he said get your
00:30:26get yourself ready stand up and say to them whatever i command you
00:30:31do not be terrified by them or i will terrify you before them
00:30:35today i have made you a fortified city
00:30:40an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land
00:30:44against the kings of judah it's official
00:30:47the priests and the people of the land
00:30:49what does that mean be a soldier for god
00:30:52your soldier that means that he can take it
00:30:57that god
00:30:59is going to keep him
00:31:02god's going to protect him
00:31:04so why is he trying to make you feel afraid of your assignment

00:31:09self-ready he says in verse 17 stand up and say to them

00:31:14do not be terrified by them

00:31:52he's asserting
00:31:54that i'm going to need it
00:31:58and i think sometimes when it comes to the assignment
00:32:00god isn't as this god's not deceptive
00:32:02but he isn't withholding as much as we articulate
00:32:04sometimes we're just not listening
00:32:06why does this happen to me

00:34:47because this is what comes with that
00:34:52i want the promotion
