00:00:34praying for you guys it was really came with a word from last week so if you didn't hear the word

00:00:36last week you may want to go back and listen to it but i really felt like the lord was saying the

00:00:40dark night or the dark night of our soul is coming through and i saw a light at the end of the dark

00:00:44night and i feel like for some of you you have been in one of the darkest seasons of your life for

00:00:48some of you it's been the dark night so i'm going to define that in just a minute it's going to help

00:00:50you and god is bringing you out of a dark night you need to let that wash over you when i say that god

00:00:54is bringing you out of a dark night i feel like we're saying you're coming out of a dark night and

00:00:57for those of you who are in the darkest nights it might just be coming to an end many of you have

00:01:01been walking through a season this felt like the darkest night maybe you've ever known or maybe one

00:01:05of the darkest nights and anxiety and culture has reached epidemic levels touching nearly half of

00:01:09all people in some way and the shakings of what's normal and status quo of life have left so many

00:01:14foundations are crumbling beneath them whether it's an organization you belong to the place you

00:01:17worked at the family structure you're in some church structure in and so many things have been

00:01:20shaken to the point where they're irreparable and it's been a time of the greatest shaking

00:01:23i think we've experienced in modern history and it's shaking so deep that it feels like a spiritual

00:01:27world war has taken place around us and because of that a lot of us have the trauma of a world war

00:01:31because the spiritual battle has been so intense yet in the midst of this darkness the lord has been

00:01:35at work in such a strong way i want to help point out some of those ways today i want you i want to

00:01:39ground you back in faith and also hope for 2025 and beyond i believe that god is aligning he's

00:01:44rearranging he's repositioning his people and some of you have felt so uprooted and god's plucked you out of

00:01:48familiar places whether it's jobs or roles or relationships cities and you're asking god when are you going to

00:01:52replant me and when will i see your purpose again and for some of you it's even deeper you've been

00:01:56facing what the saints of old called the dark night of the soul that's a time when you sense meaning and

00:02:00clarity and even hope seems to have vanished it's really um the very ground you've stood on is

00:02:04dissolved leaving you feeling lost and untethered and i wanted to find this a little more than some

00:02:08of you may have say i think i'm a dark night so let me define what it is here because somebody might

00:02:11have experienced this or you might be experiencing it now i've experienced it and i've understood about

00:02:15the dark night of the soul in a way back in 2020 when i was literally dying physically dying of a

00:02:19parasite i was on chemotherapy and they sent me home in hospice and i went through a dark night

00:02:23of the soul obviously i was dying so i was part of it but there was also describing this and so this

00:02:27is how i put it a dark night of the soul is a profound spiritual crisis where the perceived

00:02:31meaning of life collapses leaving a person feeling really adrift and a deep sense of meaninglessness

00:02:35and it's a stripping away of the frameworks and identities we build to make sense of the world

00:02:39it's our achievements our relationships and even direction we thought was god and that he was leading

00:02:43us in and it's often triggered by tragedy or failure or crisis that shatters our understanding

00:02:47and it feels like the death of self a place of deep pain and confusion really akin to a spiritual

00:02:50despair someone's even a depression yet in the darkness god of the world what's our achievements

00:02:55our relationships and even direction we thought was god and that he was leading us in and it's

00:03:00often triggered by tragedy or failure or crisis that shatters our understanding and it feels like

00:03:03the death of self a place of deep pain and confusion really akin to a spiritual despair someone's even

00:03:07a depression yet in the darkness god's works are so powerful because you start to take a hold of

00:03:13the reality of who jesus is in a way that is so much deeper than you've ever imagined

00:03:16the person of jesus becomes more real to you and the sacrifice on the cross then and then his

00:03:19resurrection from the dead there's no way that jesus could become more real to you than he is when

00:03:23you get saved see he's using a lot of intelligent words for nothing because he's trying to show you

00:03:30that there's a dark night of the soul no there's not either you're saved or you have a demon with you

00:03:35period because i'm saved the devil can ask me a question

00:03:40if i fall for the trap

00:03:46and i start sinning the hedge of protection leaves me

00:03:50the holy spirit leaves because i'm not listening to it and that's when i can become confused because

00:03:56what i take a step outside the hedge of protection

00:03:59so anything could happen my wife can start going down

00:04:05now him saying he had a near-death experience

00:04:09you know and if you take your eyes off god even though you have a near-death experience the hedge of

00:04:18protection could still leave you because the devil can ask you why if if you're saved why are you dying

00:04:23why did this happen to you but you're saved take your eyes off god

00:04:28that made me the hard time to keep your eyes on god but no it's not because when in the good times

00:04:35i keep my eyes on god and in the bad times i keep my eyes on god that's the whole point of life

00:04:40that i always keep my eyes on god whether i have things going my way or not

00:04:45health wise

00:04:48financial wise relationship wise i keep my eyes on him regardless what it looked like on the outside

00:04:56what it looked like just like with joe

00:05:00whatever happened to joe in your death experience he had the

00:05:09sores come on his body and other all kinds of things happen

00:05:12he had to keep his eyes on god

00:05:15and when you don't do that in your real life

00:05:20then you're outside the hedge of protection why

00:05:23because you're not keeping your eyes on him

00:05:25near death losing everything

00:05:29losing your house losing your family

00:05:31losing your children he lost everything

00:05:34joe

00:05:35so same thing for

00:05:39who you're talking to

00:05:40whatever happens keep your eyes on god no matter what it looked like he got me

00:05:46no matter what it looked like

00:05:48he got me

00:05:50if it's time to go home it's time to go home

00:05:52if it's time to get fired it's time to get fired

00:05:55if it's time to be homeless it's time to be homeless

00:05:58if it's time to lose the family it's time to lose the family

00:06:02because who is my mother and who is my father

00:06:05God is.

00:06:14This is harder than that.

00:06:16Not really.

00:06:17Why?

00:06:19I got to keep my eyes on God, whether it's good

00:06:21and bad

00:06:22in my life.

00:06:26Even when I'm happy,

00:06:27I got to keep my eyes on God and not focus on

00:06:29the things that bring me happiness

00:06:31outside of God, meaning that

00:06:32material things or my desire

00:06:35God is more important than those things.

00:06:38I really like

00:06:39this, but not more than God.

00:06:41I really like that, but not more than God.

00:06:44Keeping your eyes

00:06:45on him no matter what. Don't serve anything.

00:06:47Don't idolize anything.

00:06:52God can have my

00:06:53mind, my body, my soul.

00:06:57They

00:06:57belong to him. If he wants it to have

00:06:59this, have something on it, or

00:07:01he can do that.

00:07:05Like God told Moses,

00:07:08place your arm in your hand, took it out.

00:07:11He had disease on it.

00:07:13Then he put it back. Disease was gone.

00:07:14Why? Because we belong to God.

00:07:16If he says, I can still do this with that

00:07:18on me

00:07:20or limping, I can do it.

00:07:23If he says, I can do it without

00:07:24a car, I can do it.

00:07:26He says, I can do it at a shelter.

00:07:28I can do it.

00:07:30But my God takes care of me.

00:07:32Why? If I keep my eyes on him.

00:07:38Nothing here

00:07:38is worthy

00:07:39of all of my

00:07:42attention. Only God gets all of my heart

00:07:44and my attention. Nothing here.

00:07:51Nothing here

00:07:52gets more of me.

00:07:55He gets all of me.

00:07:57Everything here

00:07:57is just temporary.

00:08:00And when you forget that,

00:08:01then you're outside the hedge of protection.

00:08:04It has more of a profound meaning

00:08:05because all of a sudden you're at a place

00:08:06where nothing normal defines you

00:08:08and you meet Jesus in a way

00:08:09that's like off the grid of normal.

00:08:11It's not just like you're going to do something.

00:08:12No, no, no.

00:08:12See, he's saying these things like

00:08:14there's different

00:08:14levels to being with Jesus.

00:08:17No, it's not.

00:08:18It's all one.

00:08:18It's one way.

00:08:19It's only one way

00:08:21of obedience.

00:08:22Ain't no more Jesus

00:08:27over here than over there.

00:08:28What are you talking about?

00:08:29Sounds crazy.

00:08:31Sounds confusing too.

00:08:33Like, wait, what?

00:08:34What you talking about?

00:08:37That's not the Holy Spirit talking

00:08:39if you have to guess

00:08:59with demons

00:09:01money problems

00:09:03finances

00:09:04emotional problems

00:09:05mental problems

00:09:07is that God?

00:09:08Is that a demon?

00:09:09Yeah.

00:09:09That means it's a demon.

00:09:11Demons come around you

00:09:12into your life

00:09:13ruin your life

00:09:14point blank period.

00:09:15That's it.

00:09:18False prophecy.

00:09:20He think he a prophet

00:09:21but he not.

00:10:05because God delivers me

00:10:06just like that

00:10:07and I'm delivered.

00:10:09Oh, no, people can be saved

00:10:10and go through depression.

00:10:11No, they can't.

00:10:14Holy Spirit

00:10:15God won't

00:10:15God won't let you suffer.

00:10:17You're a liar.

00:10:20If I get like

00:10:20a headache or something

00:10:21I'll take some aspirin

00:10:22but if I'm

00:10:25if I feel like

00:10:51Now, if someone has

00:10:51a mental or physical disability

00:10:53that's from the sins

00:10:54of the Father

00:10:55and that's not going anywhere

00:10:56but go in a secret place

00:10:57and talk to the Lord

00:10:58about it

00:10:58and he can do anything.

00:11:05about depression

00:11:05and like an emotional

00:11:07you know, some people

00:11:08they take

00:11:09you know, medication

00:11:11and things like that

00:11:12but they don't

00:11:15do they have a relationship

00:11:16with the Lord?

00:11:17See, you can't do

00:11:18anybody else's relationship

00:11:19with the Lord.

00:11:20I could tell you right now

00:11:21going to a secret place

00:11:21and you say, oh, okay

00:11:22never going to a secret place.

00:11:24People listen to stuff online

00:11:25they'll listen

00:11:25watch this video

00:11:26and watch a thousand videos

00:11:28and still don't go

00:11:29talk to the Lord.

00:11:30Only the Holy Spirit

00:11:31can touch your heart

00:11:32and tell you

00:11:32go speak to the Lord.

00:11:35Get on your knees

00:11:36and humble yourself.

00:11:41I could be moving

00:11:43around the house

00:11:43and it's time

00:11:45to praise God.

00:11:46That's Holy Spirit.

00:11:48God

00:11:48it's time to sing to him.

00:11:55That's Holy Spirit.

00:11:57So you're telling me

00:11:58that I'm going to

00:11:59be going through

00:11:59a suffering

00:12:00with the Holy Spirit?

00:12:36how to do it too.

00:12:38So where you

00:12:39send your children

00:12:40to go pray

00:12:41alone

00:12:42without you

00:12:42and let them pray

00:12:44and have their own

00:12:44relationship with the Lord

00:12:45only through example

00:12:46can you show.

00:12:47That's why Jesus

00:12:48showed us through example

00:12:50so you can show

00:12:51through your example

00:12:52because the Holy Spirit

00:12:52is going to tell you.

00:12:54Once you're saved

00:12:54the Holy Spirit

00:12:55is going to tell you

00:12:55and every one

00:12:57of your family

00:12:58will be able to see

00:13:00you walk with the Lord

00:13:01and by example

00:13:03they will do it too.

00:13:06Your children,

00:13:07your family

00:13:08because talking

00:13:10is one thing

00:13:11but walking it

00:13:12is something else.

00:13:13These works

00:13:13are so powerful

00:13:15because you start

00:13:16to take a hold

00:13:16of the reality

00:13:16of who Jesus is

00:13:17in a way

00:13:18that is so much deeper

00:13:19than you've ever imagined.

00:13:19The person of Jesus

00:13:20becomes more real to you

00:15:29and you can still

00:15:29be saved with that.

00:15:31Unless God removes it

00:15:38some kind of mental issue

00:15:40or depression, sadness.

00:15:42The Holy Spirit

00:15:43can heal that person.

00:15:48Anxiety, depression,

00:15:50but a physical,

00:15:51mental disability

00:15:51is not going anywhere.

00:15:53But feeling sad

00:15:54and all that?

00:15:55No.

00:15:55The Holy Spirit

00:15:56is going to

00:15:57take care,

00:15:58deliver that person.

00:16:04Okay?

00:16:05So anxiety

00:16:07and depression

00:16:08anything like that,

00:16:11God can deliver you.

00:16:17Okay?

00:16:18That's something

00:16:19that can be

00:16:20delivered from.

00:16:22That's not something

00:16:22that's permanent.

00:16:23That's something

00:16:24that they go through.

00:16:25So God can do it.

00:16:28When you're looking for

00:16:29who am I supposed

00:16:29to be married to,

00:16:30it's beyond all

00:16:31the normal frameworks

00:16:32where all of a sudden

00:16:32you're going,

00:16:33if you're not real,

00:16:33God, I don't want to live.

00:16:34If you're not real,

00:16:35if I don't know you

00:16:36in the way you want

00:16:36to be known,

00:16:37life's meaningless

00:16:37and many people...

00:16:38That is demonic.

00:16:39Wanting to end

00:16:41your life

00:16:42is demonic

00:16:43because life

00:16:45is a blessing.

00:16:46So see,

00:16:46that's demonic.

00:16:47Being afraid

00:16:48and anxiety

00:16:49around people

00:16:50in the car,

00:16:51that's demonic.

00:16:52I hope you say

00:16:53the name of Jesus.

00:16:54The Holy Spirit's with me.

00:16:56Oh, I can't help it.

00:16:58I have anxiety.

00:16:58I take pills.

00:16:59No, you can't.

00:16:59It's a demon.

00:17:04I can't deliver you

00:17:06All of a sudden,

00:17:06you're sad.

00:17:14because they don't know

00:17:15what to do about it.

00:17:16They give them pills.

00:17:18The Lord can remove it

00:17:20from you.

00:17:27you get untethered

00:17:28from all the natural things

00:17:28that bring fulfillment

00:17:29and you're only at a place

00:17:30where if God doesn't come through

00:17:31to be your ultimate fulfillment

00:17:32through Jesus and his spirit,

00:17:33then life's not worth living.

00:17:34Some of you can relate to that.

00:17:35Hashtag my turn

00:17:36if you've gone through that,

00:17:37if you're going through that.

00:17:38Only God can deliver me

00:17:39when he wants to.

00:17:40You know why?

00:17:41Because I'm actually being obedient.

00:17:42I'm doing what he says

00:17:43and then he delivers me

00:17:44for something

00:17:45I don't even know is there.

00:17:53Any kind of fear

00:17:54about being around people

00:17:55or being in the car

00:17:56or flying an airplane

00:17:57or anything that may scare

00:17:59you, things like that.

00:18:00God can take it away.

00:18:01He can deliver you from it.

00:18:06Not for nothing but God.

00:18:12So why?

00:18:14Because I believe

00:18:14that he protects me.

00:18:15He loves me.

00:18:16So if I believe that,

00:18:17I can't also believe

00:18:18that, oh, I have anxiety

00:18:19or, oh, I get depression

00:18:22sometimes,

00:18:23but I'm saved.

00:18:25No.

00:18:27There's nothing he can't do.

00:18:28The Holy Spirit

00:18:29is going to

00:18:30keep me

00:18:31keep me good.

00:18:35Keep me

00:18:35right there.

00:18:37Keep me happy.

00:18:39Bring me joy.

00:18:44into depression

00:18:45and bad thoughts.

00:18:50Jesus.

00:18:50And if I'm not

00:18:59doing that,

00:18:59that means I don't

00:19:00believe.

00:19:02Period.

00:19:03Oh, I am saved

00:19:04and I still get those things.

00:19:06Well, you don't believe

00:19:06that Jesus is your Lord

00:19:08and Savior.

00:19:09Because if you believe,

00:19:10then you know

00:19:10that he's going to

00:19:12deliver you from that.

00:19:16People,

00:19:17you can't see

00:19:17if someone believes

00:19:18or not.

00:19:18They can sit around

00:19:19the table and say,

00:19:20we're all Christians here.

00:19:21Only one person believes.

00:19:23The egotistical self

00:19:24or the ego itself

00:19:24with its own illusion

00:19:26of control and understanding

00:19:27is totally brought

00:19:27to the cross to die.

00:19:28And you die in a way

00:19:29you've never died before

00:19:30and you make a way

00:19:30for the true self

00:19:31that's anchored to only Christ.

00:19:33And this breaking

00:19:33in the old self

00:19:34is not meant to destroy you,

00:19:35but it's led.

00:19:35You can't break anything.

00:19:36Only God can deliver me.

00:19:37And it ain't no old self.

00:19:38It's always been me.

00:19:40What you talking about?

00:19:42God loves me.

00:19:42He made me this way

00:19:43with my flaws.

00:19:44He loves me over my flaws.

00:19:46He loves me over my flaws.

00:19:47He's not trying to change me

00:19:48because he made a good thing

00:19:50when he made me.

00:19:51I'm made in his image.

00:19:53So what's wrong with me?

00:19:54Nothing.

00:19:55I just have some flaws.

00:19:56But guess what?

00:19:56If a demon comes over here

00:19:58and I let it

00:19:59and I don't say,

00:20:00I refuse to say the name of Jesus,

00:20:01then I'm going to have

00:20:01some bad problems.

00:20:02I'm going to have some bad problems.

00:20:03Issues,

00:38:55and I love Isaiah 60 verse 1

00:38:57and Psalm 30 verse 5

00:38:58it says for his anger

00:38:59lasts only for a moment

00:38:59but his favor lasts a lifetime

00:39:01weeping may stay for the night

00:39:02but rejoicing comes in the morning

00:39:04I think it's such an important scripture

00:39:06that weeping lasts for the night

00:39:08but joy comes in the morning

00:39:09and then I love 2 Corinthians 4 16 through 18

00:39:11therefore we do not lose heart

00:39:13though outwardly we are wasting away

00:39:15yet inwardly we are being renewed

00:39:16for our light and momentary troubles

00:39:18are achieving for us

00:39:19an eternal glory

00:39:20that far outweighs them all

00:39:21and there's something about

00:39:22when you come to this perspective

00:39:24that what God's doing in your life

00:39:25is so much more valuable

00:39:26than what feels like it's going wrong

00:39:28or what isn't working

00:39:29or what you're waiting for

00:39:30that all of a sudden

00:39:30in your spirit

00:39:31you go God you're worth it

00:39:32anything you bring me through is worth it

00:39:33and even the hardships

00:39:34I know that these two

00:39:35you'll work for my good

00:39:37these two you're going to work

00:39:38in a way that

00:39:38is going to transform my life

00:39:40and some of you

00:39:40you've been through a dark season

00:39:41I think of a story

00:39:42you know when I was

00:39:43in my last kind of dark season

00:39:44where I was

00:39:45I was kind of in a

00:39:46identity crisis

00:39:47and when I say that

00:39:47I wasn't

00:39:48I was still

00:39:48I was in the middle of a lot

00:39:49of really fruitful things

00:39:50that were wonderful

00:39:51and outwardly it looked like great

00:39:52but inwardly my wife and I

00:39:53were going

00:39:53there's a transition

00:39:54some of the greater things

00:39:55that God's promised us to

00:39:56there's no way for those to happen

00:39:57if we just stay

00:39:58and the successful good things

00:39:59that are happening now

00:40:00that aren't the greater things

00:40:00we're called to

00:40:01and so we start moving away

00:40:02from some of the things

00:40:03we felt like we weren't called to anymore

00:40:04and people got mad at us

00:40:05some people felt like

00:40:06we weren't fulfilling

00:40:06the role that we

00:40:07they wanted us to fulfill anymore

00:40:09we changed

00:40:10what I was doing

00:40:11with pastoral ministry in LA

00:40:12and my church was awesome about it

00:40:13but there's a lot of people

00:40:14who were like

00:40:14how could you leave

00:40:15being a pastor

00:40:15to do this kind of stuff

00:40:16and to travel

00:40:17and speak to people

00:40:18and then also to do

00:40:19social commentary and production

00:40:20people were just mad

00:40:21people just got really mad

00:40:22and in the midst of that

00:40:22it wasn't a fast process

00:40:23so we had a lot to learn

00:40:24and we had a lot to grow up

00:40:25and God allowed the lessons

00:40:27the hardships

00:40:28to teach us 10 lessons

00:40:30instead of one lesson

00:40:31and he could have just

00:40:31people try to say

00:40:32they're going through hard times

00:40:33and it's just lessons

00:40:34no it's not

00:40:35you're not supposed to be doing something

00:40:36they'll do it anyway

00:40:39like him doing this

00:40:40he said he left the church

00:40:41from being a pastor

00:40:42and they went through

00:40:43all this hard stuff

00:40:44just so he can go sit at the desk

00:40:45and tell you a false prophecy

00:40:47goodbye

00:40:47you're blocked

00:40:48people think just because

00:40:50they actually make it happen

00:40:52that is a good thing

00:40:53no it's not

00:40:54a whole bunch of demons

00:40:54watching you

00:40:55why

00:40:56because you're not called

00:40:56to be a prophet

00:40:57or a teacher

00:40:57that's why

00:40:58look at everything

00:43:07I no longer have

00:43:07a 2 year plan

00:43:08now everything I feel

00:43:09that God's done

00:43:11that's good

00:43:11is on the table

00:43:12that Sheree and I

00:43:13sat in front of us

00:43:13that we called it

00:43:14the surrender table

00:43:14and we were surrendering

00:43:15everything to God

00:43:16and we couldn't see

00:43:17the steps to make

00:44:11off the children of God

00:44:12that's not the Lord

00:44:15you're confessing

00:44:17because that's why

00:44:18I got upon this video

00:44:18so you confess

00:44:19so the children of God

00:44:21can see

00:44:22what a false prophet

00:44:23looked like

00:44:24they go after the money

00:56:22where I saw a hospice going

00:56:32like human trafficking

00:56:32back in 2020

00:56:36a lot of those prayers

00:56:37were God in me

00:56:38and during that time

00:56:39God gave me all kinds of

00:56:41I would say visions or hope

00:56:42but it was years later

00:56:44that he started to give me direction

00:56:45when he gave me direction

00:56:45it was in ways

00:56:46that I wouldn't have led myself

00:56:47I didn't even like

00:56:48Christian entertainment

00:56:49or Christian media at the time

00:56:50and here I'm you know

00:56:51working in the Christian media

00:56:52and entertainment space

00:56:53and I didn't even like it

00:56:54I would have never led myself

00:56:55that direction

00:56:55but God led me here

00:56:56and when I surrendered

00:56:57and I had a deconstruction

00:56:58of who I was inside

00:56:59and it was reconstructed

00:57:01in sonship to Jesus only

00:57:02and I thought I had that

00:57:03but I didn't really have it

00:57:04on a deeper level

00:57:04and when I had that

00:57:05in 2020-21

00:57:06and it's continued from then

00:57:07man I've surrendered everything

00:57:09like he could take me

00:57:10anywhere he wants me

00:57:10he could take me out of LA

00:57:11which was my homeland

00:57:11into a place like Dallas

00:57:13you know like I just believed

00:57:14that if God will lead me

00:57:15it's worth going

00:57:16if God will lead me

00:57:17he'll be with me

00:57:18and I'll get experience things

00:57:18that I could have never experienced

00:57:20without walking with him

00:57:21so when that light comes
