Another top-ranking military officer has been charged in court for alleged corruption.

Joint Forces Headquarters chief of staff Mejar Jeneral Datuk Mohamed Fauzi Kamis pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur to a charge of criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM5mil.

00:10Chief Major General Datuk Mohamed Fauzi Kamis pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Lumpur

00:20The 56-year-old indicated he understood the charge when it was read

00:27According to the charge sheet, Fauzi was alleged
00:30ly entrusted with $5 million in a bank account belonging to the Armed Forces Welfare Fund.
00:35And allegedly committed criminal breach of trust by dishonestly misusing the
00:40property through an unauthorized additional investment in Precious Amber International
00:45without the Armed Forces Welfare Fund's Investment Committee approval.
00:50The offense under Section 409 of the Penal Code was allegedly committed as
00:55the Defense Ministry, Jalan Padang Tembak, Kementha, on November 20.

01:25flight risk. Judge Susana set bail at 100,000 ringgit with one shot.
01:30Susana, Fawzi was arrested by the police officer and ordered the accused to surrender his passport
