00:00I mean you've worked with Margo a number of times now but not in an actress-director capacity what was
00:05it like kind of shifting that dynamic it was the best ever it was just the best she's like
00:10look there's a reason that she's Margot Robbie like in capital letters she's just like
00:15incredible she's she's so dedicated she's so generous she's so small
00:20she's so brave you know and I think everyone who works with her
00:25and watches her every day is just so yeah just so enamored
00:30of her like we're I feel so so grateful that we've had this partnership over three
00:35movies it's an extraordinary thing and we have these quotation marks how how close
00:40closely should we expect this to follow the book versus being your own vision
00:43well I think the thing is is that it's
00:45my favorite book in the world you know and I'm I like many people who love this
00:49book I'm like kind of
00:50fanatical about it and so I knew right from the get-go I couldn't ever hope to make
00:55anything that could even like encompass the like greatness of this book so
01:00all I could do was I don't know make a movie that made me feel a
01:05the way the book made me feel and so therefore it just felt right to say it's Wuthering Heights
01:10and it isn't you know it's yeah it's just extraordinary
01:15and the Heathcliff casting I mean has had some comments around if that should be a person of color and
01:20you know casting Jacob in it what do you kind of think about that commentary I think the thing is is everyone
01:25who loves this book has such a personal connection to it and so you can only
01:30ever kind of make the movie that that you sort of imagine
01:35yourself when you read it and then you can I don't know I think I was sort of focusing
01:40kind of sadomasochistic elements of it and so but that's the great thing about
01:45this movie is it it could be made every year and it would still
01:50be so moving and so interesting there are so many different takes so you
01:55know I just I just welcome every I think every year we should have a new one
02:00thank you
02:05you
