00:00C'est mon privilège et l'honneur d'introduire Anna Sauer.
00:05Applaudissements.
00:10Friends, in a hundred days' time, Scotland faces a choice.
00:15The most significant choice it's had to make in 20 years.
00:20And in a hundred days' time, we can save our most precious and treasure.
00:25A hundred days to take our country in a different direction.
00:30And a hundred days to give hope back to the people of this great country.
00:35We have a plan to fix our NHS and make it fit for the future.
00:40But above all else, we want to take our NHS out of the house.
00:45And put it in the hands of incompetent ministers and bureaucrats and managers.
00:50And put it back at the hands of the people it truly belongs to.
00:53The patients, the doctors.
00:55And the nurses.
00:57And that's the promise and commitment I make to you.
01:00Now I'll say a bit more about what we will do specifically in a moment.
01:05Let me just say thank you to the speakers that preceded me.
01:08First of all, to Mike.
01:10It's true to say that Mike was not and perhaps...
01:15He may still argue is not a politician.
01:17But he's someone that knows deeply about...
01:20...our NHS and how to fix it.
01:22And I think it demonstrates...
01:25...how serious we are about winning this election...
01:28...and about fixing our NHS.
01:30...that someone like Mike McCurdy, who has 40 years of dedicated service to the NHS...
01:35...is willing to be our candidate and willing to help us get our NHS fit.
01:40...for the future.
01:41But it also demonstrates, I think, a challenge for people across our...
01:45...of our country.
01:46Do we sit this one out and hope someone else will come along...
01:50...and hopefully things will just get better?
01:52Or are we willing to put our head above the parapet...
01:55...and fight for the change that our country so desperately needs?
01:58And all of us, I think...
02:00...want to say a huge thank you to Mike...
02:02...that he's one that's willing to put his head above the parapet...
02:04...and help us take our...
02:05...our NHS into the future.
02:06Welcome, Mike.
02:07APPLAUSE
02:10I also want to thank both Francesca and Jordan.
02:15...both who have personal experience, like we all do.
02:18We all have personal experience.
02:20...of the NHS personal experiences of when the NHS has been there for us.
02:25...and been there to care, been there to treasure...
02:27...and actually had really positive interventions.
02:30...in our life.
02:31But all of us, too, will also know individual stories...
02:34...but it hasn't...
02:35...quite worked out the way it should do.
02:37Sadly, in the case for Jordan...
02:40...with his mum, for countless others in their own family...
02:45...care whether that be in terms of speed of delivery...
02:48...or the need to go private.
02:50...or, in the ultimate case, of the families involved...
02:53...in the Queen Elizabeth hospital scandal...
02:55...when it actually felt like the NHS, the managers, the bureaucrats...
02:58...and the ministers conspired...
03:00...against them, rather than was there on their side.
03:03...so, for all the families...
03:05...and for all the patients...
03:07...and for all the people...
03:08...who work in our NHS...
03:10...or rely on our NHS every single day...
03:13...this election...
03:14...and this choice...
03:15...is about you.
03:17It's not about me.
03:18It's not about the Scottish Labour Party.
03:20It's about what happens to the future...
03:22...of that most precious...
03:23...precious, sorry...
03:24...and treasured institution.
03:25...the National Health Service.
03:27And it is for you...
03:28...the patients...
03:30...for you, the doctors...
03:32...for you, the nurses...
03:33...that we are determined...
03:35...to win this election...
03:36...and get our NHS back...
03:37...to where it belongs.
03:39And no...
03:40...butter advocate for our NHS...
03:42...over the last period...
03:43...has been...
03:44...Jackie Bailey, my...
03:45...fantastic deputy leader...
03:46...the co-chair...
03:47...of the election campaign...
03:48...and the person...
03:49...that's going to help...
03:50...mastery...
03:50...intermind...
03:51...that election victory...
03:52...in a hundred days time...
03:53...and someone too, actually.
03:55...that has been a dedicated...
03:56...champion...
03:57...for NHS voices...
03:58...in our Parliament.
03:59So, Victor...
04:00...for Jackie Bailey, please.
04:05...and friends, people say...
04:06...what is that alternative...
04:08...that Labour will deliver?
04:09...and let me see...
04:10...a bit about that...
04:12...in a moment.
04:13But I also want to talk...
04:15...about the risk...
04:16...if we...
04:15We don't change course.
04:16The risk, if we just view this election
04:18as in one of...
04:20one of non-consequence,
04:21one of protest,
04:22not one ultimately of choice.
04:25This election won't decide
04:27what happens somewhere else.
04:29It'll decide what happens...
04:30what happens here in Scotland.
04:31It'll decide what happens to our schools,
04:34our hospitals.
04:35Our GP services,
04:36our social care system,
04:38our families,
04:38our communities,
04:39our town...
04:40our cities,
04:41our villages,
04:42and our islands.
04:43This election is about...
04:45and for any other political party
04:48or any other...
04:50political leader,
04:51including the sitting First Minister,
04:52John Swinney,
04:53and the SNP...
04:55they want to make this election
04:55about everything but Scotland,
04:57but I'm determined to make it
04:59about Scotland.
05:00and who can blame them
05:01for wanting to talk about anything else
05:03apart from their record?
05:05On their watch,
05:06more than 830,000 Scots
05:09waiting...
05:10either for treatment
05:10or for diagnosis,
05:12including almost 10,000
05:14waiting...
05:15over two years.
05:16Over two years
05:18on an NHS...
05:20waiting list.
05:20That's 53 times higher
05:22than the number in England
05:23despite their...
05:25having 10 times the size
05:26of population we do.
05:29It means for all those...
05:30thousands of people
05:30who wait far too long
05:32at A&E
05:33and when the Royal College
05:34of Emergency...
05:35medicine tell us
05:35that that leads to
05:37unnecessary deaths
05:38in the future.
05:40to all those people
05:41that are stuck in hospital,
05:43desperate to get out,
05:44cleared to leave.
05:45but can't
05:45because they can't
05:46access that care package
05:48either at home
05:48or indeed.
05:50any care home.
05:51For all those
05:52who have to
05:52remortgage their homes,
05:54borrow from...
05:55friends and family
05:55or have had to
05:56travel elsewhere
05:57to get the private
05:58diagnosis
05:58or the private treatment.
06:00when they should be
06:00getting that here
06:01at home.
06:03Those waiting
06:04in pain...
06:05in anxiety
06:06and putting their lives
06:07on hold
06:08and all the personal
06:09consequences...
06:10that has on their health
06:11but also on their
06:12economic opportunity
06:13and indeed
06:14on their friends.
06:15and family.
06:16That's the record
06:17of shame
06:18for the SNP.
06:19That's...
06:20the record
06:20of failure
06:21and that's one
06:22that we want to stop
06:23and take our NHS...
06:25into the future.
06:26Now people often say
06:27that all hope
06:28has gone...
06:29the end...
06:30NHS can never be fixed.
06:31It's always going to be broken.
06:32It can't go back
06:33to those founding principles.
06:35I reject that
06:36out of hand.
06:37Our NHS
06:38can work.
06:39Our NHS
06:40can work.
06:40Our NHS
06:40can be fit
06:41for the future.
06:42Our NHS
06:42can deliver
06:43for everyone
06:44the way it is.
06:45the way it should
06:45but what we need
06:46is a government
06:47that meets the ambition
06:48of the people
06:49and work.
06:50works as hard
06:50as our NHS
06:51staff do
06:51if we are
06:52to make it
06:53a reality.
06:55So what will
06:55Scottish Labour
06:56do to fix it?
06:57First we will
06:58declare that
06:59national waiting time
07:00emergency
07:00to make sure
07:01patients can receive
07:02the care they need
07:03regardless of where
07:04they are.
07:05it is available
07:05across the country.
07:07We will also make sure
07:08we take capacity...
07:10wherever it exists
07:10so we can clear
07:12those backlogs
07:12and so people
07:13don't have to use
07:14their own...
07:15money to get
07:15the treatment
07:16they need.
07:17We want to reform
07:18primary care
07:18to end the...
07:20ATM rush
07:20for a GP appointment
07:21and we will bring back
07:23the family doctor.
07:25we will end
07:25corridor care
07:26and stop all
07:27the bed blocking
07:28by making sure
07:29we invest in...
07:30social care
07:30and the pathways
07:31that people need
07:32to get those
07:33care packages
07:33at home
07:34or indeed...
07:35to be...
07:35have that place
07:36in a care home.
07:38We will also bring
07:38parity in...
07:40of mental health
07:40and physical health
07:42by launching
07:42the mental health
07:43emergency response...
07:45making sure there are
07:46trained paramedics
07:47nurses
07:48and mental health
07:49support...
07:50responding directly
07:51to 999 calls
07:52not untrained
07:54police officers.
07:55Now that does two things.
07:56One of course
07:57it gives better
07:58dignity and care
07:58to the patient.
08:00but it also releases
08:01those police officers
08:02so they're not stuck
08:03in AD departments.
08:04They're not stuck...
08:05in courtrooms.
08:05They're not stuck
08:06responding to 999 calls.
08:08Instead they're
08:09on the front line.
08:10supporting their communities
08:11and fighting crime.
08:13And ultimately
08:13we will...
08:15cut the bureaucracy
08:15so we've got
08:16fewer chief executives
08:17fewer finance directors
08:20fewer managers
08:20and more nurses
08:22and more doctors
08:23on the front line.
08:24Fewer...
08:25bureaucrats
08:25who think their job
08:27is to stand up
08:27and defend the government
08:28and conspire...
08:30against the patient
08:30and more money
08:31to the doctors
08:32and the nurses
08:33that treat the patients
08:34and...
08:35and better outcomes
08:35for people
08:36across the country.
08:38Now let me just say
08:39a couple of things...
08:40in closing
08:40before we open up
08:41to questions.
08:43First of all
08:43on the Queen Elizabeth University...
08:45Hospital.
08:47I've said this already
08:47over the course
08:48of the last week
08:49and I want to repeat it again.
08:50today.
08:51I believe
08:52what has happened
08:53at the Queen Elizabeth...
08:55University Hospital
08:55is criminal incompetence.
08:58It's negligence.
08:59It's...
09:00criminal incompetence
09:00and those responsible
09:02must be held
09:03to account.
09:04And what...
09:05the public inquiry
09:05has done
09:06is looked in detail
09:08at the decision-making...
09:10and the decision-making gaps
09:11in the managers
09:13and the staff...
09:15on the site.
09:15What it hasn't done
09:16is investigated
09:17and questioned
09:18those responsible
09:19for the political...
09:20in decision-making.
09:21So I believe
09:22that Lord Brody
09:23should reopen
09:24the...
09:25inquiry
09:25that he should hear
09:26directly
09:26from the First Minister
09:28at the time
09:28Nicholas Surgeon.
09:30from the Deputy First Minister
09:31and Finance Secretary
09:32at the time
09:33John Swinney
09:33and from the...
09:35Secretary of the Time
09:35Shona Roberson
09:36so we can have
09:37full transparency
09:38about who...
09:40what and when
09:41and why that hospital
09:42was allowed to open
09:43too early.
09:45and the negative consequences
09:46devastating consequences
09:47that followed
09:48with patients getting...
09:50infections
09:50they shouldn't have
09:51and lives being lost
09:52when they shouldn't have
09:54too.
09:55So I want all that
09:56to come
09:57and see the light
09:58of day.
10:00let me also make
10:00this commitment.
10:02For seven years now
10:03we've been told...
10:05repeatedly by SNP ministers
10:06and officials
10:07that there's nothing
10:08to see here.
10:09And they've all...
10:10always presumed
10:10that somehow
10:11we'll just go away
10:12or the patients
10:13will go away
10:13or the families
10:14will go away
10:14or...
10:15or somehow
10:15I will go away.
10:16Let me make this
10:17abundantly clear
10:19to every...
10:20single minister
10:21in government
10:22every single official
10:24we...
10:25are not going away.
10:27We will get
10:27the answers.
10:29We will get...
10:30truth
10:30and we will get
10:31justice.
10:32And you may try
10:33and evade that
10:34for the next...
10:35a hundred days.
10:37But in a hundred days
10:38we will elect
10:39a new government
10:39in this country.
10:40In a hundred days
10:41we will get
10:42our NHS back
10:43on track.
10:44In a hundred...
10:45days we will save
10:45our NHS.
10:47But in a hundred days
10:48we will then also
10:49shine.
10:50a light
10:50on the most ultimate
10:51cover-up
10:52in this country's
10:53political history.
10:55and you will be made
10:56to pay the price.
10:58So a hundred days
10:59to take...
11:00a different choice.
11:01A hundred days
11:02to choose
11:02a different path.
11:04A hundred days...
11:05to save our NHS
11:06and a hundred days
11:08to elect
11:08a first minister.
11:10that shares
11:10your ambition
11:11and to elect
11:12a Scottish Labour government
11:13that works as hard.
11:15as you do.
11:16So let's go win
11:17that future together.
11:17Thank you.
11:20Thank you.
11:25You know what folks
11:25we're going to now
11:25take some questions
11:27from the press.
11:28I'll start with
11:28Ciaran Andrews.
11:30Thanks very much.
11:31And as you mentioned
11:33there about a bit
11:34fewer...
11:35bureaucrats
11:35that see it as a job
11:37to stand up
11:38for the Scottish Government.
11:40we also want
11:41the number
11:42of territorial
11:43health boards
11:43then to flee.
11:45we assume
11:45that the logic
11:45from that
11:46there is
11:46you have to follow
11:47where it's treating
11:48what he's done
11:49in England
11:49and get...
11:50rid of NHS Scotland
11:51to make health board
11:52bosses directly
11:53accountable
11:53to themselves.
11:55So the structure
11:55is already
11:56slightly different
11:57to that of
11:57NHS England
11:58so NHS England...
12:00wasn't set up
12:00the same way
12:01as NHS Scotland
12:02was
12:03but to the...
12:05visible of the point
12:06Ciaran...
12:07Yes.
12:08I think
12:08it's about to...
12:10we had ministers
12:11that took responsibility
12:12and ministers
12:13that were held
12:14to account.
12:15if something happens
12:16when I'm a first minister
12:17and under my government
12:18I will hold my minister...
12:20and my officials
12:21to account
12:22and not always look
12:23for someone else
12:24to blame.
12:25and that's sadly
12:26what happens
12:26too often
12:27in our National Health Service.
12:29And we will register...
12:30to bureaucracy
12:30because layer
12:31after layer
12:32of management
12:33layer after layer
12:34of bureaucracy
12:35fails the staff
12:36fails the patients
12:37and just gives
12:38covering excuses
12:39to...
12:40to a government
12:40that wants to
12:41just always blame
12:42somebody else
12:42never take responsibility.
12:45Let me just say
12:45one thing else
12:45about the culture.
12:47Let's not think
12:48that this only happens
12:49in Greater Glasgow.
12:50I was in Dundee
12:51yesterday
12:52speaking to the victims
12:53of LGML.
12:55the neurosurgeon
12:57and all the devastating
12:58consequences
12:59for many...
13:00families
13:00in the northeast
13:01and in NHS Tayside
13:02in particular.
13:04Day 2...
13:05Do you feel frustrated?
13:05The patients
13:06and the staff
13:07that raise concerns.
13:09We're logbooked...
13:10that have been destroyed.
13:11Vital logboats
13:12that are required
13:13for the public inquiry
13:14that's happening.
13:15in NHS Tayside.
13:16There is a rotten culture
13:18at the heart
13:19of government.
13:20and there's a rotten culture
13:21at the heart
13:22of the bureaucracy
13:23that exists
13:23in this country.
13:25where the culture
13:26is one of secrecy
13:26of cover-up
13:28defend yourself
13:29defend...
13:30your own reputation
13:30defend the institution
13:32and don't defend
13:33the victim...
13:35that's going to end
13:36with a Scottish Labour government.
13:38That will end
13:38if I become...
13:40minister...
13:40we will have institutions
13:41that are there
13:42to protect the victim
13:43and the patient
13:44not themselves.
13:45institutions
13:45or individual reputations.
13:48Paul?
13:48Paul?
13:50And I ask...
13:50it's clear to what you see
13:51that if you're first minister
13:53then...
13:53the NHS...
13:55that will be a top priority
13:55in terms of focus
13:57and also resources.
13:59But...
13:59I know there will be...
14:00some councillors
14:00who will wonder
14:01what does that mean
14:02for local government?
14:03Because one of the stories
14:04about...
14:05in the last 17 years
14:06is that...
14:07the NHS has been prioritised
14:08in terms of cash.
14:10to help councils.
14:11So just two questions.
14:13How will you reform...
14:15council tax
14:15if you're a first minister?
14:17And can you rule out
14:18a council tax?
14:20who is going into this election?
14:21So two things.
14:22First of all...
14:23if we don't do...
14:25what's right by councils
14:25we can't fix the NHS.
14:28Because so much of the problem...
14:30that exists in the National Health Service
14:31is the entrance door
14:33and a lack of...
14:35capacity in primary care
14:36and the exit door
14:37because of a lack of capacity
14:39in social...
14:40care and obviously
14:40our councils are the ones
14:41that are responsible
14:42for delivering social care
14:43across the country.
14:45fair funding
14:45for local government
14:46is part of the plan
14:48to fix the NHS
14:49to make sure it is...
14:50a wrap-around service
14:51where people don't...
14:52where people do get
14:53the care they need
14:54so they don't have...
14:55to go into hospital
14:55and they do get the care
14:57they need
14:57so they can get out of hospital
14:58when they're cleared
14:59to do so.
15:00so we will deliver
15:00fair funding
15:01for local government
15:02we will have a funding model
15:03that exists
15:04that reckon...
15:05recognises that parity
15:05between social care
15:07and the National Health Service
15:08and we will also recognise parity...
15:10that when the Scottish
15:11government budget goes up
15:12then local government budget
15:13should go up too
15:14and...
15:15and we will write that
15:15into law
15:16through a local democracy act.
15:19On the point you may...
15:20think about council tax.
15:21Look, the council tax system
15:22is fundamentally broken.
15:25have got to deliver
15:25that fair funding.
15:27The challenge we have
15:28right now
15:28is you had an SNP...
15:30government that posed a freeze
15:31on council tax
15:33whilst also cutting council...
15:35budgets
15:35and that is why
15:36councils felt
15:37even more pressure
15:38and now feel pressure
15:39in terms of...
15:40of council tax rises.
15:41So I want to keep
15:42council tax down.
15:43I want to keep
15:44council tax...
15:45vote, but I will not impose
15:46council tax freezes
15:48that then also result...
15:50any cut in those local government budgets.
15:51We have to redraw
15:52the system completely
15:53so it has that fair funding.
15:55whilst also keeping
15:55people's bills down
15:56because that's fundamentally important.
15:59Alistair Graham.
16:00Hi there.
16:01You see that
16:02if Labour wins
16:03100 days...
16:05will shine a light
16:05what happens
16:06at the Queen Elizabeth
16:06University Hospital
16:07and those responsible
16:08will be made
16:09to pay the price.
16:10Can you just say
16:11exactly what you mean by that?
16:13I know you've already talked
16:13about reopening the inquiries...
16:15but how will you ensure
16:16that they're made
16:16to pay the price
16:17just on a separate issue.
16:19Do you think it would...
16:20write blog
16:20Andy Burnham
16:21from Standing
16:22you will see today
16:23the letter signed by...
16:25Labour MPs
16:26and concerns about that?
16:27Well let me first take
16:28the first point
16:28what I mean by
16:29pay the price.
16:30they're not going to get
16:31to hide anymore.
16:33They will be made
16:33to answer...
16:35for their mistakes.
16:37I would say...
16:38Crimes.
16:40in the cold light
16:41of day.
16:42They will be made
16:42to answer
16:43in the Parliament...
16:45to be made to answer
16:45in any relevant investigations
16:47and in my view
16:48there should be criminal...
16:50investigations into the actions
16:51and the decisions
16:53of those involved.
16:55because what's either
16:55happened here
16:56is the almighty negligence
16:58with the right questions...
17:00weren't asked
17:00people weren't doing
17:01their job
17:02and therefore
17:03that hospital opened
17:04or...
17:05they knew what was happening
17:06and they chose to ignore it
17:07anyway
17:08because they thought
17:09the politics and the...
17:10presentation was more important
17:11more important
17:12than patient safety.
17:13So they are going to be made
17:14to answer.
17:15for those crimes
17:16and I mean that
17:17for whichever
17:18chief executive
17:19whichever...
17:20chair
17:20whichever manager
17:21whichever minister
17:21because families deserve justice
17:23and the truth.
17:25and let me also just emphasise
17:26this point Alistair
17:27is the government
17:28is now asking us
17:29to believe
17:30the same people
17:31that told the same story
17:33for the last 10 years
17:34and...
17:35and to ignore
17:35the same three doctors
17:37that raised the same warnings
17:39for the last...
17:4010 years too.
17:40Those three doctors
17:41have proven to be right
17:43in every single thing
17:44they say.
17:45said
17:45and those managers
17:46and ministers
17:47have been proven
17:48to be wrong
17:49in everything.
17:50they said
17:50so I know
17:51whose side I want.
17:52Those three doctors
17:53are whose side I want.
17:55if they're not satisfied
17:56I'm not satisfied
17:58and no one in the public
17:59should be satisfied.
18:00and therefore
18:00they had to be
18:01at the heart
18:01of whatever
18:02comes next.
18:04On the question you asked...
18:05about Andy Burnham
18:06of course
18:06that was a decision
18:07taken by the NEC
18:09Andy...
18:10he's a friend of mine
18:11a colleague of mine
18:12someone that's doing
18:13a fantastic job
18:14as great of mine
18:15Manchester Mayor
18:15actually a lesson
18:16I think
18:16that the regions
18:17of Scotland
18:18can learn from
18:19about how you do...
18:20proper regional
18:20economic development
18:21but now that decision
18:23has been made
18:23the Labour Party
18:24has to...
18:25to get behind
18:25whoever the candidate
18:26is going to be
18:27in that by-election
18:28and make sure
18:29they defeat the party.
18:30of reform.
18:31Do you think
18:31it was right
18:31to make that decision
18:32though?
18:33It's a decision
18:33for them
18:34it's a decision
18:35for them
18:35for the managers
18:36in England
18:37to decide
18:38what the selection
18:38process is
18:39for Scotland
18:39and...
18:40of course
18:40we decide
18:40our selection
18:41process is
18:42in Scotland
18:42and it's now
18:43for the good people
18:44of Manchester
18:44to decide
18:45who they want
18:46their new MP
18:46to be
18:47and I'm sure
18:48they'll have
18:48a fantastic
18:48Labour candidate.
18:50to vote for.
18:51Tom Gordon.
18:55I think he should
18:57just put his
18:58leadership ambitions
18:59to one side.
19:00I'm only interested
19:02in one person's
19:02leadership ambitions
19:03and that's mine.
19:05Thank you.
19:06Thank you.
19:06Thank you.
19:10And my focus
19:11my ambition
19:12is to make sure
19:12I'm First Minister
19:13100 days time
19:13so we save our NHS.
19:15and it was right
19:15by my country
19:16Scotland.
19:18When you last...
19:20popped up
19:21during the Labour conference
19:23your colleague Mike
19:25Kamara said
19:25frankly
19:26I think he should
19:27shut up.
19:29You still think...
19:30Andy Burnham
19:30you think Andy Burnham
19:31ought to shut up
19:32and just go away...
19:33I think Andy Burnham
19:34should continue...
19:35what he's doing
19:36which is delivering
19:36for the good people
19:37of Greater Manchester
19:38with Labour values
19:39every...
19:40day.
19:40He is a star player
19:41on the pitch
19:42and he should
19:43keep doing
19:43what he's doing.
19:45as I said
19:45I'm focused on
19:46changing one person
19:47in a big job
19:48and that's the person
19:49in Butte House.
19:50and that's the focus
19:50in the next 100 days.
19:52Rachel?
19:53Hi, over here.
19:55Sorry, we didn't see you there.
19:56Just following on from that
19:57I'm worried that the focus
19:58is going to be on the...
20:00of the UK government
20:00rather than on the plans
20:01for Scotland.
20:03So, again,
20:03I think this is the key question.
20:05for the next 100 days
20:06is
20:07do we focus
20:08on what's happening
20:10in the future?
20:10in a government
20:10somewhere else
20:11in positions
20:13somewhere else
20:14or do we focus
20:14on...
20:15about what happens here
20:15because in 100 days' time
20:17what people in Scotland
20:18are choosing
20:20is who they want
20:20Scotland's first minister
20:21to be
20:22who they want
20:23Scotland's government
20:23to be
20:24and what they want
20:25to be.
20:25what focus they want
20:25on the issues
20:26relevant to Scotland
20:27and what I don't understand...
20:30from a government
20:31that claims
20:31it's on the side of Scotland
20:33why don't they want
20:34to make this election...
20:35about Scotland's NHS?
20:36Why don't they want
20:37to make this election
20:37about Scotland's schools?
20:39Why don't they want
20:39to make...
20:40this election
20:40about Scotland's towns
20:41cities, villages
20:42and islands?
20:43Why don't they want
20:44to make this election...
20:45about Scotland's transport system?
20:47Why don't they want
20:47to make this
20:48about Scotland's families
20:49and the support...
20:50they get either
20:50through childcare
20:51or access to education
20:52or the schools system?
20:54Why don't they...
20:55care about Scots?
20:56So I'm going to make
20:57this election
20:57about my country
20:58my people
20:59Scotland.
21:00and I mean
21:01everybody
21:01in Scotland
21:02because I've seen
21:03reference
21:03from another party
21:04this week
21:05about who my people
21:06and my community
21:07are.
21:08My people
21:08are the great people
21:09of Scotland.
21:10my community
21:11is every community
21:12in Scotland
21:13and that's the people
21:14I'm determined to lead.
21:15in a hundred days' time.
21:16Thank you all so much.
21:17Thank you.
21:17Thank you.
21:20Thank you.
