00:00So, Alan, can you tell me why you think that a surf museum should be built in Port Macquarie?
00:06Why the town is the right place for it?
00:08We feel that Port Macquarie is the ideal location for a surf museum,
00:13primarily due to the history that Port Macquarie has with surfing.
00:17Because back in 1912, a young oyster farmer called Harry McLennan
00:22and two of his mates built and rode surf skis down at Town Beach.
00:27We can lay claim to be one of the first places in Australia where surfing actually happened.
00:32And we feel that with that history and also with Port Macquarie's idyllic location on the coastline
00:40and having pristine beaches around us that a surf museum,
00:44Port Macquarie would be the ideal location for us to situate our surf museum.
00:49And also over the recent generations there's been quite a number of surfers
00:53who are state and Australian champions both in long boards and short boards.
00:57And a number of the guys who ride the short boards have been on the world tour circuit over the years.
01:03And we have Damien King who is a world bodyboard champion as well.
01:09So, it's not just surf boards but it's the whole spectrum of surfing throughout the whole of the community.
01:14So, it's something we want to retain and educate people about Port Macquarie and our surfing.
01:21Well, we queste aquell Win set low who are swimming, who are swimming.
01:22We also have Se Stars.
01:30The most fotografies are not a big area, but its strong and Urheuddin.
01:34The real paradise remains nuanced.
01:38The Zarine comes at the time.
01:42They are too strong and fluffy and funny, so pretty thick.
