00:00hey uh turns out after all that time philip rivers can pull out with the two uh defensive
00:04coaches in the super bowl and this is the first time that there will be a defensive head coach
00:10in the super bowl in nine years and there's two of them okay there hasn't been a defensive head
00:14coach in the super bowl in nine years belichick being the last one um and three defensive coaches
00:21and counting being hired for head coaching jobs this offseason greg i ask you are defensive
00:26coaches making a comeback um i i wouldn't necessarily say that i think that um they are
00:31certainly capable and and i'll put vrabel in a little bit of a different category but
00:36defensive head coaches are certainly capable of getting hot in the moment and and going to a
00:41super bowl i think that they have difficult with sustained success unless you have an offensive
00:47coordinator that you know is going to be there for multiple years because like you know what's his
00:52name clint kubiak in seattle is probably going to get one of the last two or two one of the last
00:57opening jobs so now all of a sudden darnold has a new offensive coordinator that's where these guys
01:02get tripped up i think they are making a comeback yes and i think part of it is i don't know why but
01:08the offensive coaches seem more um obsessed with calling the plays and it takes away from the game
01:14management part of it and i know that mike mcdonald calls the defenses in seattle he's sort of an
01:19outlier but to me the defensive guys seem to have a bigger picture view of it that that serves them
01:25no they just happen to get a really good quarterback play and they're accompanied by
01:28great offensive coordinators okay but that under the well these got i'm confused so defense coaches
01:35are not making a comeback you're saying this is what happened to vrabel and mcdaniel yeah i mean
01:38they're good but they benefited from having good quarterback play and good ocs okay more on this
01:42coming up in a little bit next i bet the broncos yesterday me too is san francisco on or
01:49closer to your top five or bottom five list of super bowl sites definitely bottom five i i despise
01:57it as a super bowl city it's way too spread out like i was even so the media the patriots at this
02:02at a hotel in santa clara the uh the seahawks are in san jose and i assume we're all going to be
02:09downtown yeah i hate it not only closer to the bottom five in the bottom five i think it sucks it might
02:18yeah bottom five two spread out no hot weather not la dumb place to have a game might be bottom
02:23three yeah it's bad in fact if the only thing good about san francisco is the food
