00:00Police in Liverpool say seven people have been arrested and nine illegal vehicles seized during Operation Gears patrols.
00:08Officers worked in Old Swan, Wavertree and Anfield, targeting offences including drug possession, intent to supply and robbery.
00:17Several vehicles were removed for traffic offences such as riding without insurance.
00:22Merseyside Police say the operation aims to tackle dangerous and antisocial vehicle use,
00:27with more than 1,100 illegal vehicles seized across the region since January 2025.
00:35Officers also reminded riders that privately owned e-scooters remain illegal on public roads.
00:40Police say patrols and enforcement will continue on Merseyside.
