00:00Your famous mom danced at your wedding and nuzzled you a little bit.
00:04Her eldest son, by the way, like David Beckham has Brooklyn tattooed on his tramp stamp on his back.
00:11Right. That's humiliating.
00:17Welcome to Yap Session.
00:18This is the show where page six staffers yap about the things we are obsessed with currently.
00:24And it's not been a great week for besties.
00:27Not at all.
00:28Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, they, of course, were snubbed at the Oscar nominations.
00:35Wicked for Good got zero.
00:37That's insane.
00:38They got ten last year.
00:39It's crazy.
00:40And they won two.
00:41They won two of them.
00:42They were nominated ten times.
00:43And now Wicked for Good, for bad.
00:46Nothing.
00:47It's tough.
00:48And, you know, people were saying, you know, this is the story of two female friends who start off as enemies.
00:54Right.
00:55And then find this great, you know, friendship and, and it's like, no, not, we don't want to hear it.
01:00Yeah.
01:01And the press tour was all about Ariana and Cynthia being besties themselves.
01:04Mm-hmm.
01:05The finger.
01:05Remember the finger?
01:06Oh.
01:07Yes.
01:07Oh, yes.
01:08Yes.
01:08Yes.
01:09Do you remember that moment when Cynthia blocked a fan from getting to Ariana?
01:14Oh, yes.
01:14Oh, yes.
01:15Oh, a linebacker.
01:15Yeah, that was insane.
01:16She meant business.
01:17Yeah.
01:17I mean, they're, they're an inspiration.
01:18They are.
01:19But zero Oscar noms.
01:20I know.
01:21Not when it comes to the Academy.
01:22And even at the Golden Globes, they didn't win any, or I don't think they were even nominated
01:26for any of the major nominations either.
01:28It was confusing.
01:29Yeah.
01:29Yeah.
01:30The Golden Globes categories are always a little all over the place, but you know, I was shocked
01:33that they weren't even nominated for best song.
01:35Yeah.
01:36Nothing.
01:36You know, they wrote two new songs, nothing.
01:38Which I feel like is the reason they split the movie into two, because they wanted to
01:42be able to have the first movie go through as everybody wanted it to be very classic Wicked.
01:48And then the second movie, I felt like they wanted to be able to add those original songs
01:52with the potential of being like, hey, now we can be nominated, because they couldn't
01:57be nominated for the Wicked songs.
02:00Yeah.
02:00The Broadway songs don't count for movies.
02:02Right.
02:02But now they could add these new ones and be nominated.
02:06But no such luck.
02:07They didn't.
02:07And it's not.
02:07I know.
02:07I still love them.
02:08And I like the second movie.
02:10Maybe not as much as the first one.
02:12Yeah.
02:12If you don't have Defying Gravity, it's not going to be the showstopper.
02:16But this whole week has been kind of about toxic friendships.
02:20Oh, my God.
02:21There's a theme going on.
02:22There is.
02:22Are you following the Karamo drama?
02:25Oh, my God.
02:25That was crazy.
02:27So Queer Eye was on a few shows.
02:29The Today Show and I think a few other.
02:30Was it Today Show?
02:31Yeah.
02:31The Today Show and they were on CBS.
02:34Karamo was not there.
02:36Missing.
02:37Karamo was missing.
02:38Drama.
02:39Yeah.
02:39He backed out of CBS Sunday Morning.
02:41Not Sunday Morning.
02:42CBS Morning.
02:42CBS Morning.
02:43That's what it was.
02:44And, you know, the rest of the cast are kind of clutching their pearls and holding hands.
02:48Literally holding hands.
02:48I know.
02:49Because they're like, we're in trouble, you know.
02:51And basically the story was, Gayle said, there's been some bullying behind the scenes and Karamo didn't want to come.
02:58His mental health was struggling.
03:01And he said that really the real tea is that his mom, and always listen to your mom, his mom overheard them talking a little bit of shit and told her son.
03:10And he said, immediately done, immediately no.
03:13And he got out of there.
03:14So that's unfortunately what happened with them.
03:16But they all seem really kind of, kind of like surprised and sad.
03:20And their thoughts are with him.
03:21And I'm like, but how are your thoughts going to be with somebody that you call us there?
03:24Right.
03:24You know what I mean?
03:24I know.
03:25The reason that they're saying these things are being said from you.
03:28The story is so crazy, like, so Karamo's mom is on the set.
03:31She's like, listening with headphones, like, you know, at the camera, behind the scenes.
03:35And it was a hot mic moment.
03:36Yep.
03:37Yikes.
03:38I'm guessing it's Antony, Tan, JVN, or Talking Smack.
03:44Someone was.
03:45And supposedly it was about Karamo's life choices.
03:48Yeah.
03:48I need to know what was said.
03:50What are these life choices?
03:52Right.
03:52I mean, I feel like last I heard, reportedly, he unfollowed all of them on Instagram.
03:58Except for the new guy.
03:59Except for Jeremiah.
04:00Oh, yeah.
04:00Which is my favorite.
04:01An angel.
04:01An angel baby.
04:02No, he's so cute and he's so sweet.
04:05You can tell his heart is really in the show and doing everything he can for these heroes.
04:11Which I think is so sweet.
04:12But I feel like.
04:12You're a real fan.
04:13Yeah.
04:14Yeah, sort of.
04:14I watched the newest season.
04:15Okay.
04:16My mom's a fan, isn't she?
04:18My mom's more of a fan.
04:20So I watched with her and we went to Queer Eye.
04:22Live together.
04:23I didn't sense any tension on stage, at least.
04:25Yeah, when did this all go down?
04:27It seemed abrupt.
04:27Yeah.
04:28No.
04:28Yeah.
04:29Even Anthony responded and because he posted an Instagram carousel of the newest season,
04:34kind of giving his thanks, his goodbye, saying a few words about this farewell season.
04:38And of course, a fan couldn't help themselves comment about the feud in the comment section.
04:44And he responded pretty much saying something along the lines of,
04:47we all have been through hardships and we all have passions and have families and we also have jobs,
04:54but we are able to separate the two.
04:58And I couldn't tell if it was exactly a dig or not.
05:01Right.
05:02But, I mean, is he giving us a hint about what the feud is about?
05:07Yeah.
05:07Or is he taking a massive dig?
05:09It sounds like it's more kind of passive aggressive bullying, in my opinion.
05:13And now I immediately thought, wait, is this why Bobby Burke left?
05:16No, I thought about Bobby Burke.
05:18I thought about Bobby.
05:18Because he was beefing with tan friends and what I noticed on both of their appearances, tan didn't say much.
05:24Tan didn't say much.
05:25Tan didn't say much.
05:26I'm like, I don't know, maybe it's another tan casualty.
05:28I'd say he was hiding secrets in his bouffant, but he has a different hairstyle now, so who knows.
05:33Oh, my gosh.
05:34Well, I know Karamo has his own show, so I'm sure he probably was like,
05:38you know what, I'm focusing my energy elsewhere.
05:41And that's what Bobby said when he left the show a couple seasons back.
05:44That's what he said.
05:44Yeah, he said, I'm so busy with my home design show.
05:49And, you know, I think he lives in Hawaii with his husband, and, you know, they're busy.
05:53Ugh.
05:53They're busy.
05:54They're busy.
05:54But there were rumblings of some issues behind the scenes, so who knows if it's another one bites the dust with this.
05:59I mean, like Antony said, we all have jobs and passions.
06:02Yeah.
06:03The vaguest thing ever.
06:04And besties that we just can't.
06:07I mean, never forget, it all started with Antony just being like, avocado.
06:11And then mixing it in with, what was it?
06:13Like, some weird yogurt or sour cream.
06:16It's healthy to eat avocado with yogurt.
06:19Yeah.
06:19I mean, we're all saying goodbye to Queer Eye.
06:24I know.
06:25As are they, apparently.
06:26And again, we have one more toxic bestie friendship story of the week.
06:32Speaking of under behind-the-scenes conversations, Blake Lively and Taylor Swift's texts.
06:39They're public record now.
06:40I know.
06:40Public record.
06:41That's crazy.
06:41I would hate, by the way, my worst nightmare.
06:43Oh, yeah.
06:44I don't ever want to see my text.
06:45No, on Alex Orle's new podcast, one of her questions to Jake Shane is, would you rather have your bank account drained or all your texts leak?
06:52Like, I'd rather have my bank account drained.
06:53Take the money.
06:54Take the money.
06:54I would be humiliated.
06:55He said that, too.
06:56He was like, take the money, I'll find it elsewhere.
06:58Yeah.
06:58Yeah.
06:58So it was actually surprisingly tame for our bestie conversations, because I don't know about you and your besties, but we get into it in our texts.
07:04Oh, please.
07:05It was pretty tame.
07:06I think Blake Lively had reached out to Taylor Swift and was basically kind of apologizing or trying to temperature gauge.
07:12Like, where are we at?
07:13It's been a couple of months of, like, this Baldoni drama.
07:17I know it's been a lot about me and whatever.
07:19I just want to make sure we're still good.
07:20I don't want to be needy with all the overthinkings.
07:23Right, of course.
07:23And she kind of was thinking out loud, and Taylor was like, well, no, you're not wrong.
07:27Like, there is something there, but it's not a big deal, and I get it.
07:30Like, it was their friends.
07:32Like, they had the complicated friendship conversation of, like, I mean, I feel like we've all been there.
07:36Like, you've had a friend that has a baby or is, like, gets married or something new happens,
07:41and, like, a little bit of the dynamic changes, and you just have to, like, address it.
07:44Maybe not a lawsuit that's sweeping headlines nationwide, but you know what I mean?
07:49Taylor's being dragged into it because her text messages from the time of them making the movie are also being released,
07:55so it's just a key position for her to be in.
07:58Like, you really, I was talking to my friends about this, and I was like, you know, in those moments,
08:02you're going to be, like, supporting your friend, asking for more information.
08:07You're going to be texting.
08:07Or gassing them up, being like, yeah, you're totally right.
08:09He is a clown.
08:10I mean, Justin Valderon was called a bitch, a clown, a narcissist, and all these things.
08:15Yeah, with his tiny violin, as Taylor reportedly said.
08:18I mean, Taylor's a, famously, she writes really snarky lyrics.
08:22Yeah, she's a writer.
08:23And what was it, like, Blake Lively was talking about customer service, like, thank you for your inquiry.
08:29Like, what was that?
08:31I don't understand.
08:31No, she was, I think she was joking.
08:33She was like, talk to me like a person.
08:35I miss my friend, look so funny, whatever.
08:36And she's like, I'm going to talk to you like a robot.
08:38Yeah, it was a bit, but I mean, like.
08:39It didn't quite, like.
08:40No, it didn't land for me.
08:41Maybe I just don't understand her sense of humor.
08:43I don't know.
08:44This was interesting that I thought, you know, Taylor seemed, you know, had a really surprisingly mature moment.
08:49She said, you know, when you use we instead of I, when you're texting me, I feel like there's distance between us.
08:55I feel like you're speaking on behalf of the Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively entity corporation.
09:00Yeah.
09:01Rather than, hey, girlfriend, like, I just farted, you know?
09:05Right.
09:05The kind of thing that you would just, like, say to a friend.
09:07Right.
09:07She said, I miss my silly, dark, you know, goofy friend.
09:11Right, because it became business and less pleasure.
09:13Right.
09:13And then Blake Lively, to her credit, kind of admitted that, like, I'm thinking everything I say digitally can be public.
09:21And she's right, because we're here talking about it.
09:23Absolutely.
09:23So, you know, she was a little bit paranoid in the way she was talking and talking like a corporation and not a person.
09:29Yeah, like legalese and trying to make it all.
09:31Yeah.
09:32Same.
09:32It feels like you're sending a message out to your employees.
09:35I know.
09:36Yeah.
09:36I'm sure that this feud between, this legal situation between Blake and Justin isn't going to go anywhere anytime soon.
09:44But speaking of family feuds.
09:46Oh.
09:46Oh, my God.
09:47We've got to talk about the Beckhams.
09:49How do we give, like, the TLDR?
09:50Because this is so complicated.
09:52Oh, my God.
09:53We could go on and on about this forever.
09:54But essentially, he releases all these slides of information and nuanced stories about his family, essentially confirming the rift that everybody has been speculating about for, oh, my gosh, it has to be at least a year.
10:13Right?
10:13Yes.
10:13And it kind of goes back to his 2022 marriage wedding to Nicola Peltz.
10:18And there was a bunch of drama that went around the wedding that we've been reporting on at page six.
10:25You know, did Nicola want Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice, to make her wedding dress?
10:30And did she not deliver?
10:31Well, Brooklyn says in the 11th hour she didn't deliver.
10:34Now that's up for debate.
10:36Because Nicola Peltz has a very different wedding dress and had been working on it for a year.
10:40Right.
10:40So there was a Vogue article that came out around the time after their wedding where they talked about the wedding day, the dress, making the dress.
10:48Valentino made this custom dress for her.
10:50And in this article, they have information saying Nicola worked with Valentino's team for a year leading up to the wedding and that she had fittings in Rome and fittings in America.
11:01And they had been partners on this.
11:04So...
11:05Was it a second dress?
11:06Right.
11:06Some people are like, was it a second dress or was Victoria told hers was going to be the reception dress and then Victoria pulled out because of that?
11:14Or was it a backup plan that she was going to change into the Valentino dress and then she had to make it her first dress?
11:19Don't talk about Victoria at the reception because that's the spiciest detail.
11:22Oh, yeah, with the first dance.
11:24And Marc Anthony's home like, how'd I get in it?
11:28All the diesels are a little murky.
11:30I'm like, was this the first dance or was this just a moment that was supposed to be a one-on-one dance with a bride and groom?
11:35Right.
11:36And Victoria swoops in and does a funny little mother of the groom dance, but supposedly it was inappropriate.
11:42Inappropriate.
11:43And Brooklyn said it was the most humiliated he's ever felt in his life.
11:46I'm like, dude, you need to live a little.
11:48Oh, yeah.
11:48You gotta go to her public school.
11:50Your famous mom danced at your wedding and nuzzled you a little bit.
11:54Her eldest son, by the way.
11:56No.
11:57David Beckham has Brooklyn tattooed on his tramp stamp on his back.
12:01Right.
12:02That's humiliating.
12:04I was reading through because I was like, this sounds like my family.
12:07And imagine me complaining about this stuff.
12:10The controlled, they control their image.
12:12You ever heard of a Christmas card?
12:13It's okay to get a little controlled image every now and then.
12:16We're family.
12:17Controlled narratives with performative social posts.
12:19Y'all have not seen my grandma on Facebook.
12:21That lady can check some stuff up on Facebook.
12:24So that is also very kind of normal to me.
12:27She called them evil for seating someone somewhere at a certain way.
12:32Like, these all seem very mild.
12:34And it's like, to out your very public family in a way to kind of make them seem really awful.
12:40When you read, when you get down to it, it's none of that it's really that bad.
12:43Right.
12:44It kind of was hard to, it was like, all right, all right, boo.
12:46And people were saying that he was commenting on how, before his wedding,
12:52David and Victoria were trying to get him to sign paperwork to protect their name.
12:57But then there was legal executives and analysts that came out saying,
13:02well, it's more of a brand.
13:04Like, the Kardashians, that name is a brand now.
13:06The Beckhams, they consider that name to be a brand.
13:09So were they trying to protect their brand by not having it be something that becomes a spin-off
13:16that they can't be part of or have control over or whatnot?
13:19Right. Does Nicola Peltz now have some sort of a stake after this wedding in the Beckham brand
13:24that David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, you know, spent decades building?
13:29Right.
13:29And, you know, David Beckham, he's from humble background, you know?
13:32Yeah.
13:32He was just really, really good at football, a.k.a. soccer.
13:36Yeah.
13:36And, you know, his kids were born with silver spoons in their mouths.
13:40They are Nepo babies in the classic sense.
13:42I'm not really sure what Brooklyn Beckham's job is, but we keep sometimes calling him a photographer,
13:48sometimes calling him an aspiring chef.
13:50A chef, yeah.
13:51Yeah, doesn't he have a hot sauce company?
13:53He has a hot sauce company that his dad, David, is an investor in.
13:58So it's like, wait a minute.
14:00You're trying to be an entrepreneur.
14:02You obviously need your parents' help, which is fine.
14:05Yeah.
14:05Entrepreneurs need help from places where they can get it.
14:08But what?
14:09Like, what is going on?
14:10And honestly, like, release the tape.
14:12I want to see Victoria dancing.
14:14Let us dance.
14:14No, I want to see this dance.
14:16Now that you told us about it, I want to see it.
14:19Have you seen the memes?
14:19Mark Anthony, please.
14:21Oh, I love the memes.
14:22So is Mark Anthony, was he a hired singer at the wedding?
14:25I don't know, he was introducing them.
14:27That's what it said in the article, that he was introducing them to come up,
14:30and he was meant to meet his wife, and then Victoria Beckham was there twerking or something.
14:33Who knows?
14:34The biggest shock is that J-Lo hasn't found a way to insert herself into this.
14:37I know, right?
14:37I wish she would.
14:38Come on, give us something, anyone.
14:40We need the tea.
14:41You have told us that this happened, so now we would like to see it.
14:44I mean.
14:45And they have the video.
14:46It's their wedding video.
14:46We're intrigued, yeah.
14:47What I also find interesting is, listen, I don't have a side in this whole feud.
14:53I do think that family issues can be more complicated.
14:56Obviously, it runs deep.
14:58And to, you know, become estranged from your family, that takes years and years and years
15:02of drama to get to that point.
15:04Yeah.
15:04However, I do find it interesting, these random characters that are speaking out against
15:09Nicola Pelts, like her ex-hairstylist.
15:12And she did date Anwar Hadid from 2016 to 2018.
15:17Okay.
15:17And one of his sisters, Alana, is speaking out, pretty much saying she did not like Nicola.
15:25Yeah.
15:26I mean, yeah.
15:28Like, you know it's bad when, like, the hairdresser's friend is coming out of the works, you know,
15:33the ex's sister.
15:35But then the DJ, there was some DJ that was coming out saying he did see Victoria dancing,
15:41however she was dancing.
15:42Again, release the tape.
15:44Right.
15:44We will all decide.
15:45If you want to make it a court of public opinion by posting these six slides, we will happily
15:50watch the video.
15:51And my number one takeaway from it is that a Spice Girl reunion is not out the window.
15:56Because number one, Victoria's still got it, obviously.
15:59Oh, yeah.
16:00No moves are still there.
16:01Yeah.
16:01And number two.
16:01And we want them inappropriate, by the way.
16:02We want the moves inappropriate, Spice Girls.
16:04Right.
16:04Hello.
16:05Give us the little Gucci dress.
16:06Right.
16:07The high heels.
16:08Cut the bob again.
16:09Like, we need that.
16:11And Emma from the Spice Girls, Baby Spice, posted a video of Victoria dancing at Jerry's birthday
16:17from a few years ago and said, we love when you dance, Victoria.
16:20So the takeaway is I think the Spice Girls are still a family unit that could still go back
16:29on tour or do a stint of something.
16:32Like, that's all I need.
16:34This is reopen the door for a reunion for you.
16:36Yeah, exactly.
16:37And that is the only thing I need.
16:38Let's get them in the sphere.
16:39Something like half of the United States was buried in snow just this past weekend.
16:44Places that normally don't get snow, like my family in Atlanta, Georgia, you know, saw
16:50some inches.
16:51And there are no salt trucks in Atlanta.
16:53They're not accustomed to that.
16:54They're not accustomed to that.
16:55So if you're snowed in right now, we've got some tips for you, some recommendations.
16:59Oh, yes.
17:00If you haven't listened, I'm jumping on board.
17:01If you haven't listened to the Lily Allen West End Girl album, came out a couple months
17:05ago.
17:06It's sort of a concept album.
17:08It's a story of her breakup, beginning, middle, end.
17:11It has some spicy lyrics.
17:13It's about her divorce or impending divorce from David Harbour, the Stranger Things star.
17:18Right.
17:18I love it.
17:19It's such a great, and follow along with the lyrics.
17:22It's a nice story.
17:23Oh, okay.
17:24So that's what you can do.
17:24If you're snowed in, cozy up to some Lily Allen.
17:27Watch some movies, listen to some Lily Allen.
17:30Brianna, what are you going to do?
17:32I'm going to be with some hot chocolate and just kind of look out at the snow.
17:35I'm a simple girl.
17:36I don't know about you people.
17:37I do my own kind of thing.
17:38But I might take a look at Sinners again.
17:40I watched it the first time, and it was so scary.
17:42I almost couldn't watch it with my eyes open fully.
17:44I might really watch it this time and really get into it.
17:47So maybe I'll do that.
17:47Well, we were yapping about Tell Me Lies.
17:51Yes, please watch Tell Me Lies.
17:51Half our staff is obsessed with this.
17:52It's on season three.
17:53I didn't even know that all of the casts were sort of embedded with each other.
17:58Oh, yeah.
17:58They're an incest friend group in the show.
18:01They're all dating each other in real life, too.
18:03So obviously, the chemistry tests went super well.
18:06That's on Hulu slash Disney Plus.
18:09I love it.
18:10There's so many things you can do.
18:11That's a good binge.
18:12Once snowstorms hit, I'm like, I won't be leaving for three weeks, so I've got to stay inside for the foreseeable future now.
18:19And maybe some board games.
18:21Oh.
18:22I love to bring out a board game when I don't leave the house intentionally, as if there's no power and I can't go anywhere.
18:29Yeah.
18:29I mean, the New York Times app, just trying to catch up on all your wordle and your connections and all that good stuff.
18:36And I also really like to go back and look at old shows that I used to watch, like The Office and Sex and the City.
18:42And Gossip Girl actually has really good shows for when it's, like, fall.
18:46Like, their fall episodes are so good and their winter episodes are so, like, they're so chic about it.
18:51So maybe I'll watch a little Gossip Girl and, you know, get into that.
18:53Yeah, I feel like I watch the Thanksgiving episodes every year because it's just, it gives that type of tone.
18:59It's festive.
18:59It does.
19:00It's very festive.
19:00And also the perfect time of year to watch some of those Hallmark movies, too, because it's snowing in all of the Hallmark movies with just the lightest touch.
19:09I know, they make it look ethereal instead of us being, like, we're freezing, we can't get out, the subways aren't running, the train's stopped, we're slipping on ice.
19:19They're like, no, it's whimsical.
19:22We're in the snow.
19:23Yeah.
19:23Maybe they will inspire us to actually enjoy the snow, at least for me, because I'm not going skiing, so you won't see me outdoors.
19:29We're just going to enjoy the snow while it's still white, because in New York it gets brown in just a moment.
19:34So it's, like, really pretty now and just kind of scenic, but it'll get gross and nasty in just a moment.
19:39Oh, and you step in one of those, like, black ice puddles that you think is asphalt, but it's actually three inches deep.
19:46And now your knee is...
19:47Yeah, and then you get into it.
19:48Yeah.
19:49Oh, my God.
19:50Oh, my God. You're doing, like, the New York Olympics, jumping through, like, with people with strollers. It's just a mess.
19:55Oh, my God.
19:55Oh, speaking of the Winter Olympics, that's coming up on February 6th as the opening ceremony, so another thing you can do as the weather continues to stay cold and gross.
20:04I'm going to bring my favorites, Conor Story and Hudson Williams.
20:08That's right.
20:08Yes, they're going to be part of the relay for...
20:10Oh, I did not know that.
20:11The torch.
20:12They're part of the torch relay, so they're going to help light the torch of the Olympics.
20:16And if you want to prepare for the figure skating, Ilya, this superstar, incredible phenom, he's the Simone Biles of male figure skating, he has been crushing it, racking up the points, getting 10, 15 points better than all of his competitors.
20:33He's going to probably win a gold medal at the Olympics, so watch now. NBC is putting up the championships in some of his best skates, and they are incredible.
20:42And he'll do it to Game of Thrones music and all this kind of stuff, and he's got long, flowing blonde hair, and his name is Ilya, just like Ilya Romanov.
20:52We'll have another Ilya to support.
20:55Well, Lauren will do that for the winter.
20:57Yeah, and let us know, you guys watching at home, what you're watching, what you're doing, what you're binging while you're snowed in during Ice Storm 2026.
21:06Well, bye.
21:06Thanks for watching.
