00:15It Ends With Us star Brandon Sklenar, the string of texts from May 2024 through August 2024
00:22began with a focus on the post-production schedule of It Ends With Us ahead of the film's release.
00:28Lively and Sklenar started to discuss whether he would be able to juggle promoting It Ends With Us
00:33while also filming the second season of the popular Yellowstone prequel series 1923 at the same time.
00:39In one alleged text message, Lively wrote,
00:42I hope your show gives you space to hustle. Especially once it comes out,
00:46week two will be a time that it will get especially heated for you.
00:50Just something to think about and maximize. I'm working on it, Sklenar replied.
00:55They are particularly about that, but I'm going to do everything I can to make it happen.
01:00It would be a crime not to ride that momentum. After encouraging Sklenar to get his agent on that,
01:06to make sure he could find time to help promote It Ends With Us, Lively went on to recall how the
01:11Gossip Girl production team was quote about letting her make time for other projects.
01:16As someone whose show kept me from every opportunity outside of it, I look back now and see how shitty
01:22that was and how I could have, along with my team, pushed harder to make space for the few moments I
01:27needed during production to honor the work I did outside of it. Lively starred as Serena Vander
01:33Woodson on Gossip Girl for all six seasons from the CW show's premiere in 2007 until its finale in 2012.

01:42They feel like you owe them, so they tend to attempt to dim your light so you don't outgrow them.
01:48And it has the opposite effect than they intend. It makes you resent them and want to get out.
01:53If they just made space for you to do the work you needed in a way that worked for everyone,
01:58you would be indebted and grateful. At least that was my experience on the show. It was all of ours.
02:03Then, hours later, Sklenar texted Lively once more to let her know he would be able to promote
02:09It Ends With Us for three days in Texas that August. Sklenar is just the latest celebrity
02:15dragged into the ugly legal battle between Lively and Baldoni, which began back in December 2024,
02:21when the actress filed a complaint alleging sexual harassment and a smear campaign
02:26by her It Ends With Us co-star and director.
02:29Jamila Jamil recently called the Gossip Girl alum a suicide bomber and a villain in 2024 texts to a
02:37publicist obtained via court docs. Page Six obtained texts between Lively and Taylor Swift again from
02:432024 that revealed Swift felt distant from Lively as the legal battle intensified. The lawsuit between
02:50Lively and Baldoni is scheduled to go to trial on May 18, 2026.
