00:00Hi, it's Jason here again with my trusty weatherman, Kevin Parkin from the Bureau.
00:05Kev, tomorrow, a big day across Victoria. What are we looking like?
00:09Yeah, that's right. Similar to last Saturday, except hotter and a really punchy wind change when it moves across the state, Jason.
00:18So the Doma heat?
00:19Yeah.
00:19With a punch of wind?
00:20That's right. We're forecasting near record temperatures across the state.
00:24So 49 degrees at Oyen, 45 in Melbourne. Many centres will crack 40 degrees ahead of that cooler change.
00:32It'll hit the southwest coast about 2pm.
00:35So talk us through, what would it look like from early in the morning right through to late in the evening?
00:39Yeah, well, it's obviously going to change quite a lot across the state, but it won't take long for those temperatures to increase quite sharply during the morning.
00:46We could already be getting 40 degrees up in the northwest and west of the state ahead of that change.
00:53As I said, it's going to be quite punchy when it comes through, so expect some gusts of 60 to 70km an hour with that southwesterly wind as it moves across the state during the afternoon and evening.
01:03And for those in Melbourne, when they might see some relief?
01:07Yeah, we're expecting the change to hit the Otways at around 5 to 6 o'clock and then make it into the city region between 8 and 9 o'clock at night.
01:16So speaking of the Otways, we currently have Evacuate Immediately warnings out for communities around the Otways, as you can see on the Vic Emergency app here and the website behind us.
01:27So please, Victorians, if you are being advised by authorities to evacuate immediately, please do so.
01:33Otherwise, tomorrow is the day to make sure that you've got your Vic Emergency app, have two sources of information and listen to your emergency broadcaster.
