West Indies cricketer Hayley Matthews had an outstanding display with both bat and ball as Mumbai Indians defeated leaders RCB in Monday's WPL to climb to second.

Matthews made 56, but her teammate Nat Sciver-Brunt was the best with 100 not out as Mumbai Indians closed on 199 for 4.

In reply, Matthews grabbed three wickets as RCB were restricted to 189 for 4.

00:01Defending champions Mumbai Indians were told by RCB to bat first in their WPL match in Vadodara.
00:08Sajeevan Sajna was out leg before to Lauren Bell for seven.
00:13But Hayley Matthews and new batter Nat Sibabrunt stuck around for quite a while.
00:18The two had a solid partnership which set the platform for a healthy total.
00:23Their stand was worth 131 runs for the second wicket.
00:26Matthews made 56 laced with nine fours.
00:36She was castled by Bell giving the bowler her second wicket.
00:41But Sibabrunt went on to get 100 not out.
00:44In so doing, she was the first player to score a century in the WPL.
00:52Mumbai Indians closed on a decent 199 for four from their 20 overs.
00:57When RCB responded, Shabnam Ismail had Grace Harris caught behind for 15.
01:03Then it was the turn of Matthews to shine with ball in hand by first removing Captain Smitty Mandana for six.
01:10Matthews then sent Georgia Waal packing for nine and it was 31 for three.
01:16Navdha 31 for four as Ismail took her second scalp.
01:19But Matthews was the best bowler with three for ten from just two overs.
01:28Nadine de Klerk chipped in with 28 of 20 balls.
01:35When de Klerk was out, RCB were in dire straits at 77 for six.
01:39She doesn't have enough of it.
01:42A lot depended on Richa Ghosh to try and bring it home.
01:48But wickets fell around her with this brilliant run out making it 129 for eight.
01:56Ghosh was going ballistic but it did not make a difference in terms of the result.
02:01She smashed 90 or 50 deliveries with ten fours and six sixes.
02:08Ghosh was out of the last ball giving Amelia Kerr two wickets in the innings.
02:13RCB were restricted to 184 for nine and lost by 15 runs.
02:18Despite the outcome, they are at the top with Mumbai Indians second.
