00:01I have been trying for the last five years, possibly more.
00:06She was six years, six or seven years since she asked her to do a transfer.
00:12And she is now 12 years of age.
00:18So it has been a long journey.
00:21Tobago has helped me.
00:24And I really just want to get a transfer and a better education.
00:29Ms. Kaby broke down in tears during our interview.
00:33She said the Division of Education assisted in having her other three children placed at schools in Tobago.
00:40But she is still struggling to have her other child placed in a school.
00:44What are you calling on the Division of Education to do?
00:47I am calling on them to help me with my daughter because I don't want to cry.
00:53Because I have went to Trinidad as well.
00:56I went back to Trinidad.
00:57I left her with her grandmother to see if they could get her into a school.
01:03However, the process is a bit lengthy.
01:08And as you can see, I have a young baby.
01:10So I had to prioritize life as well and my life and health as well.
01:17So I just need them to get her into the school or into a school that is nearby for us.
01:23She said she has lost jobs as a result of taking time off with the back and forth to the Division of Education.
01:31Sometimes the process for parents are so long and we do have work or business otherwise to attend to.
01:43So, you know, I'm really asking that they make it easier for other parents.
01:49This is me not just signing up for myself but for other parents who have jobs to go to and taking their lunch hours to go.
01:55I've done all of that.
