00:00This being our 64th anniversary, because the league was established in 1962, it is a great
00:25thing to see a defending champion, two-time defending champion Presentation College vying
00:31for this year to win a three-peat.
00:33It will be the second time if it is accomplished, following in the footsteps of Hillview College.
00:46What we did actually is to restructure the league, so now instead of ten teams, we now
00:52have eight teams this year, and there is a rebranding or a renaming of the tournament,
00:56so this is now called the Premiership One division.
00:59So the highest division in the Secondary Schools Cricket League is now Premier One.
01:04Secondly, we now have rebranded the championship division to a Premier Two North and South division.
01:15Since 1996, PowerGen has been our marquee sponsor for this league.
01:20So this year, actually, it is the 28th year of sponsorship.
01:27Actually, there are three leagues for the women.
01:31One will be our Gales Hardball competition, the second is a Gales Open division competition,
01:35and the third is a Gales 16 and under competition, or under 16.
01:39When is that starting?
01:41The Gales Hardball is supposed to start next week, Friday the 30th, as well as the Gales
01:45Open should start next week or the following week.
