00:00Well, on the issue of the Chagos Islands giveaway, which is what Donald Trump was talking about,
00:05he is actually absolutely right. I don't agree with everything that he says or posts,
00:09but this is a deal that is self-sabotage. It damages our national security interests.
00:15It's bad for the maritime environment, which is a pristine nature reserve around the Chagos Islands.
00:20And of course, it's going to cost the British taxpayer billions of pounds that we can't afford.
00:25So on this, he's right. The best defense comes through strength, and it is a sign of great weakness
00:31for this government, for Keir Starmer, to be giving away British sovereign territory.
