Current and former 'Saturday Night Live' stars are sharing their reactions amid the big cast shakeup ahead of season 51. Last week, it was revealed that Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker and Emil Wakim have exited the long-running NBC sketch comedy series, the most departures since 2022, when eight people left SNL ahead of season 48.

00:26commenting on the cast members' farewell social posts.

00:29Longfellow shared on Instagram that he's leaving after three seasons.

00:33Bowen Yang responded to his post, writing,

00:35Jesus was Chinese. I love you, Michael.

00:37The Wicked actor was referencing Longfellow's claim during one of his previous weekend update segments.

00:43Marcelo Hernandez also shared,

00:45Love you, bro. Thank you for letting me see if be whenever.

00:48My roommate.

00:48To which Longfellow replied,

00:50The PS5, she's yours now, brother.

00:52Molly Shannon, who was a cast member on SNL from 1995 to 2001

00:57and returned to host in 2007 and 2023, also commented on Longfellow's post,

01:14As for Walker, who is also departing the NBC comedy show after three seasons,

01:18Chloe Fineman wrote under his post on Instagram,

01:21I'll miss being your pregnant wife all the time.

01:24Gardner also commented,

01:25I love you.

01:26Wakeem, who is exiting SNL after one season,

01:28previously shared on social media that it wasn't his choice to exit the show.

01:32Fineman also commented,

01:34You're such a stat and I'll miss sitting next to the best-dressed man at table read.

01:38Gardner, who was a cast member on SNL for eight seasons,

01:41has yet to comment on her departure on social media.

01:45It's unclear at this time if more people are expected to leave the show

01:48ahead of the season 51 premiere on October 4th.
