In a clip teasing the Thursday interview, The Duchess of Sussex talks about her life as an actor, including having to deal with a challenging car situation.
Transcript
00:00You said the last talk show you did was like, I don't know, another decade ago,
00:03but you used to come to this lot to audition all the time.
00:05Oh my gosh, completely. I would park at gate three?
00:08Meghan Markle will make an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday,
00:12marking her first daytime talk show interview in years.
00:15The show released a teaser clip which sees the Duchess of Sussex reminisce about her early days
00:19as an actress auditioning on the Warner Brothers lot, where Ellen films.
00:23Markle revealed she used to drive to auditions in a car that DeGeneres called very special.
00:27Yes, it had a life of its own, so I had this very, very old Ford Explorer sport,
00:33and at a certain point the key stopped working on the driver's side.
00:37She went on to explain that meant you couldn't get yourself in through the door,
00:40so she had to always enter her car another way, through the trunk.
00:44And I would open the trunk and climb in and then pull it shut behind me
00:49and crawl over all my seats to get out. That's how I would come to and fro.
00:53When asked by DeGeneres if anyone ever caught her unusual entry,
00:56Markle said this.
00:57Oh no, I would play it off. I would go like, oh, I'm just looking for my resume
01:00and my highlighters for my script. Oh, maybe it's back there.
01:04And then they crawl all the way in the clothes.
01:06Oh my God.
01:06The Ellen Show tweeted on Wednesday,
