Justin Keane from Corcoran and Parker gives a roundup of the sale.
Transcript
00:001,600 cattle yarded, a couple of real feature lines of cattle, one being the
00:08Sherlock Partnership cattle. They had 250 Angus females here all joined up to
00:13Angus Bulls to commence carp in the middle of February. Some really tight joining.
00:17Those cattle are made at the top of 3,500 down to 2,900. All those females weighing in
00:23in excess of 600 kilos. They were sort of two and a half, three-year-old heifers.
00:27The Tobin family had a nice run of heifers. They were two-year-old cattle. They've made
00:33similar type money around the 3,000 to 3,100 for cattle to a calf, just flicking into the
00:38back end of February, early March. Didn't sell many quality Angus females under
00:43$2,850, most of them all in that 29 to 3,200. But again, as we sort of spoke about the
00:51weaners earlier on, if you've had cows to sell, you could come back here and buy
00:57a quality young females to put in their place. No different to the earlier weaner sales where
01:02if you had a bullock to sell, you could buy a weaner. So it seems to be a reasonable trade for all at the moment.
01:07So, let's see.
