Transcript
00:003,800 cattle today, probably drew for more like 4,400 or 500, but there was about that many.
00:05Five or 600 that pulled out due to the potential warm weather.
00:07It's been a warm day, but just with the shedding and everything.
00:10It's all worked very well.
00:11A very good line-up of our local bred calves.
00:15Albeit none of them have had much of a year, we've had grass here for about three months only.
00:20But the cattle generally have probably got there in the end, the spring fell in, I suppose.
00:25And they might be 20 or 30 kilos less than last year, but consistently.
00:30Still a pretty good run of calves.
00:32Any cattle that are 350 kilos.
00:35Those two 400 in the wiener are making about $4.90 to $5.00.
00:40You know, you could throw a blanket over most of them at $5.00.
00:45Grown steers are heavier than that, the 450 to 520 kilo black steers here.
00:50All grown steers have made about $4.75.
00:55Roughly.
00:56And as you got back in weight, they've just hailed around that $4.00.
01:00In the grain section, in the wieners, they were making about $5.00.
01:03South was very good support.
01:05On them quality wieners that they were quite interested in.
01:10If they were 300 kilo and really good quality, I suppose they're probably making anywhere from $5.30.
01:15$5.50 to $5.50, $270 or $8.50 kilos, yeah, about the same.
01:20So, but support from the south and certainly locally.
