00:22The statement lands just hours before a high-stakes White House meeting today.
00:26Greenland and Denmark's foreign ministers are set to sit down with Vice President J.D. Vance
00:31and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
00:34Greenland is a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark, strategically located, resource-rich,
00:39and suddenly at the center of a geopolitical fight.
00:42It's about three times the size of Texas, with a population of roughly 57,000 residents.
00:48President Trump has repeatedly said the United States needs Greenland for national security
00:53to keep it away from China and Russia.
