00:00In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:20We acknowledge our sins but more importantly the compassion, the mercy and the love of God.
00:27You forgive our sins, Lord have mercy. You drive away fear from our lives, Christ have mercy.
00:36And you call us to embrace life fully, Lord have mercy. May Almighty God have mercy on us.
00:43Forgive us our sins and lead us into healing and life everlasting. Let us pray.
00:51Attend to the pleas of your people with heavenly care, O Lord, we pray, that they may see what must be done and gain strength to do what they have seen.
01:00Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:10A reading from the first book of Samuel.
01:31It is happened that the Philistines mastered to fight Israel and Israel went out to meet them in battle.
01:45The Philistines drew up their battle line against Israel.
01:59The battle was hotly engaged and Israel was befriended by the Philistines and about 4000 of their army were killed on the field.
02:13The troops returned to the camp and the elders of Israel said,
02:20Why has the Lord allowed us to be defeated today by the Philistines?
02:28Let us, let us, let us, let us fetch the ark of our God from Israel so that it may come among us and rescue us from the power of our enemies.
02:40So the troops sent to Shiloh and brought away the ark of the Lord of hosts.
02:52He who is seated on the cherubs, the two sons of Eli, Hophini and Phinehas, came with the ark.
03:05When the ark of the Lord arrived in the camp, all Israel gave a great shout so that the earth resounded.
03:15When the Philistines heard the noise of the shouting, they said, What can this great shouting in the Hebrew camp mean?
03:25And they realized that the ark of the Lord had come into the camp.
03:32And these the Philistines were afraid and they said, God has come to camp.
03:40Alas!
03:41They cried, this has never happened before.
03:45Alas!
03:46Who will save us from the power of his mighty God.
03:51It was he who struck down Egypt with every kind of plague.
03:58But take courage and be men, Philistines, or you will become slaves to the Hebrews as they have been slaves to you.
04:12The men and fight.
04:15So Philistines joined battle and Israel was defeated.
04:21Each man fleeing to his tent.
04:25The slaughter was great indeed.
04:28And the fell of the Israelites thirty thousand foot soldiers.
04:35The ark of God was captured too.
04:38And the two sons of Eli died, Hophni and Phinehas.
04:47The word of the Lord.
04:49Thanks be to God.
04:51Save us Lord in your mercy.
04:56Save us Lord in your mercy.
04:58Yet now you have rejected us.
05:02Degraced us.
05:03You no longer go forth with our armies.
05:07You make us retreat from the poor.
05:10And our enemies plunge us it will.
05:14Save us Lord in your mercy.
05:16You make us the town of the neighbors.
05:20The mercenary and scorn of all who are near.
05:24Among the nations.
05:25You make us by word.
05:28Among the people.
05:30The things of direction.
05:33Save us Lord in your mercy.
05:35Awake Lord.
05:37Why do you sleep?
05:38Arise.
05:39Do not reject us forever.
05:42Why do you hide your face.
05:45And forget our oppression and misery.
05:48Save us Lord in your mercy.
05:51Alleluia.
05:52Alleluia.
05:53Alleluia.
05:54Jesus preached the God news of the kingdom.
05:58And healed all who were sick.
06:01Alleluia.
06:02Alleluia.
06:03Alleluia.
06:04Alleluia.
06:16The Lord be with you.
06:17And with you spirit.
06:18A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark.
06:23A leper came to Jesus and pleaded on his knees.
06:27If you want to.
06:28He said.
06:29You can cure me.
06:31Feeling sorry for him.
06:33Jesus stretched out his hand.
06:35And touched him.
06:36Of course I want to.
06:38He said.
06:39Be cured.
06:40And the leprosy left him.
06:42At once.
06:43And he was cured.
06:45Jesus immediately sent him away.
06:48And sternly ordered him.
06:50Mind you say nothing to anyone.
06:53But go and show yourself to the priest.
06:56And make the offering for your healing.
06:58Prescribed by Moses.
07:00As evidence of your recovery.
07:02The man went away.
07:04But then started talking about the freedom.
07:07And telling the story.
07:09Everywhere.
07:10So Jesus could no longer go openly to any town.
07:14But had to stay outside.
07:16In places where nobody lived.
07:18Even so.
07:20People from all around would come to him.
07:22The Gospel of the Lord.
07:27Praise to you.
07:28Lord Jesus Christ.
07:32In the original.
07:34Greek language.
07:36We are taught that Jesus felt sorry for him.
07:39But apparently.
07:40It's a much stronger word in the Greek.
07:43Jesus really.
07:44Ached for him.
07:46He really felt his pain.
07:48And said of course I want to.
07:50Of course I want to.
07:52Of course I want to.
07:53So that's the reaction of Jesus.
07:55When he's confronted.
07:56By the plight of humanity.
07:59We heard of the plight of the Jewish people in the past.
08:03When they first reading today.
08:06When they lost so many people in war.
08:08And they were oppressed.
08:10When Jesus comes to face.
08:13Help us face oppression.
08:15Whether it's illness.
08:16Or spiritual oppression.
08:18Any oppression.
08:19He came among us.
08:21To empower us.
08:23So that we can deal.
08:24With the oppression.
08:25With the pain.
08:27With the challenges.
08:28That we need to face.
08:30So whatever challenges we have.
08:33Jesus is with us.
08:35Blessed are you.
08:37Lord God of all creation.
08:38For to your goodness.
08:39We have this bread to offer.
08:40Which earth has given human hands have made.
08:41It will become for us.
08:42The bread of life.
08:43Blessed be God.
08:45For forever.
08:46Amen.
08:47Amen.
08:48Amen.
08:49Amen.
08:50Amen.
08:51Amen.
08:52Amen.
08:54Blessed are you.
08:58Lord God of all.
08:59Creation.
09:00For to your goodness.
09:01We have this bread to offer.
09:03Which earth has given human hands have made.
09:06It will become for us.
09:07The bread of life.
09:08Blessed be God.
09:09Forever.
09:10Forever.
09:28Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of divine work of human hands.
09:35It will become a spiritual dream.
09:37Blessed be God forever.
09:46Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, our Almighty Father.
09:54May the Lord accept the sacrifice at our hands to the praise and glory of God's name for our good and the good of God's Holy Church.
10:01May your people's oblation, O Lord, find favour with you, we pray, that it may restore them to holiness and obtain what they devoutly entreat through Christ our Lord.
10:12Amen.
10:13Amen.
10:14The Lord be with you.
10:17And with your spirit.
10:18Lift up your hearts.
10:19We lift them up to the Lord.
10:21Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
10:24It is right and just.
10:25It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere, to give you thanks, Father most holy, to your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, your word, whom you made all things, whom you sent as our Saviour and Redeemer, incarnate by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin.
10:43Fulfilling your will and gaining for you a holy people, he stretched out his hands as he endued his passion, so as to break the bonds of death and manifest the resurrection.
10:56And so, with angels and archangels and all the saints, we declare your glory, as with one voice we acclaim, Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory.
11:11Hosanna in the highest.
11:13Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
11:16Hosanna in the highest.
11:19You are indeed holy, O Lord, the font of our holiness.
11:23Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your spirit upon them like the dewfall, so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
11:35At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread, and giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
11:47Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.
11:54In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying,
12:10Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
12:25The mystery of faith, we proclaim your death, O Lord, and profess your resurrection until you come again.
12:44Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of this death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
12:57giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
13:04Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
13:12Remember, Lord, your church, spread throughout the world, and bring her to the fullness of charity,
13:22together with Leo, our Pope, and Charles, our Bishop, and all the clergy.
13:29Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
13:36and all who have died in your mercy.
13:39Welcome them into the light of your face.
13:42Have mercy on us all.
13:44We pray that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with the blessed Apostles,
13:52and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
13:57we may marry to be coerced to eternal life,
14:01and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
14:06Through him and with him and in him, O God, Almighty Father,
14:13in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours forever and ever. Amen.
14:21At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say,
14:25Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
14:30Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
14:35Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
14:40as we forgive those who trespass against us.
14:44And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
14:48Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
14:51Graciously grant peace in our days,
14:54that by the help of your mercy,
14:56we may be always free from sin
14:57and safe from all distress,
14:59as we await the blessed hope
15:01and the coming of our Savior,
15:03Jesus Christ.
15:05For the kingdom, the power, and the glory
15:07are yours, now and forever.
15:10Lord Jesus Christ,
15:12who said to your Apostles,
15:13Peace I leave you, my peace I give you,
15:15look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church.
15:19And graciously grant her peace and unity
15:21in accordance with your will,
15:23who live and reign forever and ever.
15:25Amen.
15:26The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
15:30And with your Spirit.
15:31Let us offer each other a sign of the peace
15:33that Jesus offers to us.
15:35Peace be with you.
15:39Lamb of God,
15:40you take away the sins of the world.
15:43Have mercy on us.
15:45Lamb of God,
15:46you take away the sins of the world.
15:49Have mercy on us.
15:51Lamb of God,
15:52you take away the sins of the world.
15:54Grant us peace.
15:55Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
16:18Happy are those who are called to the supper of the Lamb.
16:20Lord,
16:22I am not worthy
16:23that you should enter under my roof.
16:25But only say the word
16:27and my soul shall be healed.
16:29My Jesus,
16:31I believe that you are present
16:32in the most blessed sacrament.
16:34I love you above all things
16:36and I desire to receive you into my soul.
16:39Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
16:42commonly,
16:43spiritually,
16:44into my heart,
16:45I embrace you as if you were already there
16:47and unite myself wholly to you.
16:51Never permit me to be separated from you.
16:54Amen.
16:54Let us pray.
16:57Humbly we ask you,
16:58Almighty God,
16:59be graciously pleased to grant
17:01that those who renew with your sacraments
17:04may also serve with lives pleasing to you.
17:07Through Christ our Lord.
17:08Amen.
17:09The Lord be with you.
17:11And with your spirit.
17:12May the peace and the blessing of the Father and of the Son
