00:13In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
00:17The Lord be with you.
00:20Welcome to Mass, wherever you might be.
00:23We come together now to thank Almighty God for the incredible gifts that we've been given,
00:27but at the same time we are aware of our own weaknesses,
00:31and so we humbly, but confidently ask God's pardon.
00:40Lord, sometimes we can take your incredibly precious gift of life for granted.
00:45Lord, have mercy.
00:48Lord, sometimes we can take this beautiful world that you've given us for granted.
00:54Christ, have mercy.
00:56And Lord, sometimes in our hurry, and indeed in our selfishness,
01:01we can take one another for granted.
01:04Lord, have mercy.
01:06May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins,
01:10and bring us to life everlasting.
01:14Let us pray.
01:17O God, by whom we are redeemed and receive adoption,
01:22put graciously upon us, your beloved sons and daughters,
01:26that we who believe in Christ may receive true freedom
01:30and an everlasting inheritance.
01:34And we ask this through Christ, our Lord.
01:39And our first reading today is from a letter written by St. Paul to the people of Corinth.
01:49I do not boast of preaching the gospel,
01:53since it is a duty which has been laid on me.
01:56I should be punished if I did not preach it.
02:02If I had chosen this work myself,
02:05I might have been paid for it.
02:07But as I have not, it is a responsibility which has been put into my hands.
02:14Do you know what my reward is?
02:17It is this, in my preaching,
02:21to be able to offer the good news free
02:23and not insist on the rights which the gospel gives me.
02:29So, though I am not a slave of any man,
02:32I have made myself the slave of everyone,
02:35so as to win as many as I could.
02:38I made myself all things to all people
02:41in order to save some at any cost.
02:43And I still do this for the sake of the gospel,
02:47to have a share in this blessing.
02:50All the runners at the stadium
02:52are trying to win.
02:55But only one of them gets the prize.
02:59You must run in the same way,
03:02meaning to win.
03:04All the fighters at the games
03:06go into strict training.
03:07They do this just to win a wreath
03:09that will wither away.
03:11For we do it for a wreath
03:13that will never wither.
03:14That is how I run,
03:16intent on winning.
03:18That is how I fight,
03:20not beating the air.
03:23I treat my body
03:27hard and make it obey me.
03:30For having been an announcer myself,
03:35I should not want to be disqualified.
03:39A word of the Lord.
03:41Our response to the psalm today is,
03:44How lovely is your dwelling place,
03:47Lord, mighty God.
03:49How lovely is your dwelling place,
03:51Lord, mighty God.
03:53My soul is longing and yearning,
03:56is yearning for the courts of the Lord.
03:57My heart and my soul bring out their joy
04:00to God, the living God.
04:02How lovely is your dwelling place,
04:04Lord, mighty God.
04:06The sparrow herself finds a home
04:08and the swallow and nest for her brood.
04:10She lays her young by your orders,
04:13Lord of hosts,
04:14my King and my God.
04:16How lovely is your dwelling place,
04:18Lord, mighty God.
04:20They are happy who dwell in your house,
04:22forever singing your praise.
04:23They are happy whose strength is in you,
04:26in whose hearts are the roads to Zion.
04:30How lovely is your dwelling place,
04:32Lord, mighty God.
04:34The Lord God is a rampart,
04:36a shield.
04:37He will give us his favour and glory.
04:40The Lord will not refuse any good
04:42to those who walk without claim.
04:44How lovely is your dwelling place,
04:46Lord, mighty God.
04:48And the verse before the gospel.
04:52Hallelujah, hallelujah.
04:53Your word, O Lord, is truth.
04:55Make us holy in the truth.
04:58Hallelujah.
05:00The Lord be with you.
05:02A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke.
05:08Jesus told a parable to his disciples.
05:13Can one blind man guide another?
05:17Surely both will fall into the pit.
05:19The disciple is not superior to his teacher,
05:23the fully trained disciple.
05:25The disciple will always be like his teacher.
05:28So why do you observe the splinter in your brother's eye
05:32and never notice the plank in your own eye?
05:38How can you say to your brother,
05:40brother, let me take out that splinter that's in your eye
05:44when you cannot see the plank in your own?
05:49Hypocrite.
05:50Hypocrite.
05:50Take the plank out of your own eye first
05:53and then you will see clearly enough
05:56to take out the splinter
05:58that is in your brother's eye.
06:01The gospel of the Lord.
06:10And so we bring together all the prayers
06:12in our lives of those here at Mass today
06:16online.
06:17We take all of those things now
06:19and bring them to the Lord.
06:23Let's say to you, Lord God of all creation,
06:25through your goodness we have received,
06:26the bread we offer you,
06:27through the earth and the work of human hands,
06:29will become for us a bread of life.
06:35By the mystery of this water and wine,
06:38may we come to share in the divinity of Christ
06:44who has humbled himself to share in our humanity.
06:54Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
06:55through your goodness we have received,
06:57the wine we offer you,
06:58through the vine and work of human hands,
07:00will become our spiritual drink.
07:05Lord God, we ask you to receive us
07:06and we please with the sacrifice we offer you
07:08with humble and contrite hearts.
07:11Lord, wash away my necrity
07:13and to me from my sin.
07:23Pray now, my brothers and sisters,
07:25that my sacrifice and yours
07:26may be acceptable to God,
07:28the Almighty Father.
07:33O Lord,
07:34and give us the gift of true prayer and peace.
07:37graciously grant that through this offering
07:39we may do fitting homage to your divine majesty
07:42and by our taking of the sacred mystery
07:45we may be faithfully united
07:47both in mind and heart.
07:49And we ask this through Christ our Lord.
07:53The Lord be with you.
07:55Lift up your hearts.
07:57Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:01It is truly right and just our duty
08:03and our salvation always and everywhere
08:05to give you thanks,
08:06Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God,
08:08through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ,
08:10your word,
08:11through whom you made all things,
08:13whom you sent as our Saviour and our Redeemer,
08:16incarnate by the Holy Spirit
08:17and born of the Virgin Mary,
08:19fulfilling your will
08:20and gaining for you a holy people.
08:23It's stretched at his hands
08:24as he endured his passion
08:25so as to break the thorns of death
08:28and manifest the resurrection.
08:30So, the angels and saints
08:32who declare your glory
08:33as with one voice we acclaim.
08:37Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of hosts,
08:40heaven and earth are full of your glory.
08:42Hosanna in the highest.
08:44Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
08:47Hosanna in the highest.
08:50You are indeed holy, O Lord,
08:52the fount of all holiness.
08:53Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
08:55by sending down your Spirit upon them
08:58like the dewfall
08:59so that they may become for us
09:01the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:04At the time he was betrayed
09:06and entered willingly into his passion,
09:08he took bread.
09:09Giving thanks, he broke it,
09:11came to his disciples, saying,
09:13Take this, all of you,
09:14and eat of it.
09:15For this is my body,
09:17which will be given up for you.
09:21Amen.
09:22Amen.
09:35In a similar way,
09:37when supper was ended,
09:38he took the chalice
09:38and once more giving thanks,
09:40gave it to his disciples, saying,
09:42Take this, all of you,
09:43and drink from it.
09:44For this is the chalice of my blood,
09:46the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
09:48which will be poured out for you
09:50and for many
09:51for the forgiveness of sins.
09:54Do this in memory of me.
10:13The mystery of faith.
10:16When we eat this bread,
10:17drink this cup.
10:18We proclaim your death, O Lord,
10:20until you come again.
10:22Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial
10:24of his death and resurrection,
10:25we offer you, Lord,
10:26the bread of life
10:27and the chalice of salvation.
10:28Give me thanks
10:29that you've held us worthy
10:31to be in your presence
10:32and to minister to you.
10:34Humbly, we pray,
10:35partaking the body and blood of Christ,
10:38we may be gathered into one
10:40by the Holy Spirit.
10:41Remember, Lord, your church
10:43spread throughout the world.
10:45Bring it to the fullness of charity,
10:47together with Leo and Ope,
10:50Charles, our bishop,
10:51all the clergy
10:52and the whole of God's people.
10:55Remember also,
10:56our brothers and sisters
10:57who fall asleep
10:58in the hope of the resurrection
10:59and all who died in your mercy.
11:02Welcome them
11:03into the light
11:05of your face.
11:07Have mercy on us all,
11:09we pray,
11:10that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
11:11Mother of God,
11:12St. Joseph espoused,
11:14the blessed apostle,
11:14of all the saints
11:15who have pleased you
11:16throughout the ages,
11:18we may merit to be
11:19coheirs to eternal life.
11:22We may praise and glorify you
11:23through your Son,
11:25Jesus Christ.
11:28Through him and with him
11:29and in him,
11:30O God Almighty,
11:31in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:33all glory and honour is yours,
11:35forever and ever.
11:39Let us pray the beautiful prayer
11:41that Jesus taught us to pray.
11:43Our Father,
11:45who art in heaven,
11:46hallowed be thy name.
11:48Thy kingdom come,
11:50thy will be done,
11:51on earth as it is in heaven.
11:53Give us this day
11:54our daily bread
11:55and forgive us our trespasses
11:58as we forgive those
11:59who trespass against us.
12:01And lead us not into temptation,
12:03but deliver us from evil.
12:06In the Lord,
12:06we pray from every evil,
12:08graciously grant peace
12:09in our day
12:10by the help of your mercy
12:12and be always free from sin
12:13and safe from all distress
12:16as we await the blessed hope
12:18and the coming of our Saviour,
12:20Jesus Christ.
12:21For the kingdom,
12:22the power and the glory
12:23are yours,
12:24now and forever.
12:26Lord Jesus Christ,
12:27who said to your apostles,
12:28peace I leave you,
12:30my peace I give you.
12:31Look not on our sins
12:33from the faith of your church
12:36and graciously grant her peace
12:38and unity
12:39in accordance with your will,
12:40who live and reign forever
12:42and ever.
12:43The peace of the Lord
12:44be with you always.
12:47Let us offer each other now
12:49a sign of peace
12:50in so far as we're able
12:52to do that.
12:53Peace now.
12:54Peace.
12:57Lamb of God,
12:58you take away
12:59the sins of the world
13:00that merciless.
13:02Lamb of God,
13:03you take away
13:04the sins of the world
13:05that merciless in us.
13:06Lamb of God,
13:07you take away
13:08the sins of the world
13:09and grant us peace.
13:29Behold the Lamb of God,
13:30behold him who takes away
13:31the sins of the world
13:32lest to those called
13:34to the supper of the Lamb.
13:36Lord,
13:36I am not worthy
13:38that you should enter
13:39under my room,
13:40but only say the word
13:41and my soul
13:42shall be healed.
13:44My Jesus,
13:46I believe that you are present
13:47in the most blessed sacrament.
13:49I love you above all things
13:51and I desire to receive you
13:53into my soul.
13:54Since I cannot now
13:55receive you sacramentally,
13:58commonly,
13:58spiritually,
13:59into my heart,
14:00I embrace you
14:01as if you were already there
14:02and unite myself
14:04wholly to you.
14:05Never permit me
14:07to be separated from you.
14:09Amen.
14:11Let us pray.
14:14grant that we your faithful people,
14:17O Lord,
14:18whom you nourish
14:19and endow with life
14:21through the food of your word
14:22and heavenly sacrament.
14:24We may so benefit
14:26from your beloved son's
14:27great gifts
14:28that we may merit
14:30that we may merit
14:30an eternal share
14:31in his life
14:33and we ask this
14:34through Christ
14:35and our Lord.
14:36The Lord be with you.
14:38May almighty God
14:40bless you,
14:41the Father,
14:42the Son,
14:42and the Holy Spirit.
14:45Let us go in peace
14:46now to love
14:47and serve the Lord.
14:49Thank you, everyone.
14:50I hope you have
14:51an absolutely beautiful day.
14:53God bless.
14:54God bless.
