00:00A Merseyside restaurant has received the lowest possible food hygiene rating after inspectors
00:07found serious health risks.
00:09Environmental health officers visited Amara, a family-run Turkish barbecue, in Wallasey
00:14village in October and discovered mouse droppings behind the chest freezer, under the stairs
00:19and near food packaging with no evidence of pest control.
00:23They also found mouldy olives, sun-dried tomatoes and hummus stored incorrectly and feta cheese
00:29that was pink and rancid.
00:31The kitchen, fridge and walls were dirty, prawns defrosted on a greasy dish and a charcoal
00:36grill area was filthy.
00:38A voluntary prohibition notice has been served and the business has been approached for comment.
