00:00Game Tyler, let's start off with you.
00:02Who is your Man Eye Institute player of the game?
00:06Y'all talked earlier about the big jump in this Texans run game,
00:11the rushing attack, and Woody Marks was at the center of that.
00:14I'm going with Woody Marks, player of the game.
00:17He had 19 carries for 112 yards.
00:20Yes, that is triple digits, and he averaged 5.9 a carry with a touchdown.
00:24Young Woody for me.
00:25Yeah, Woody was – Woody didn't know what to do with himself.
00:31Some of them holes that were opening up for him.
00:33Yeah, he was really, really good yesterday.
00:36The best running game performance we've seen out of the Texans.
00:41So, Woody Marks, well-deserved, tough, tough cat,
00:45a great draft pick for Nick Casario and company.
00:49Woody Marks is Tyler's player of the game.
00:51Who's yours?
00:53Well, I'm torn here.
00:54I want to go Jalen Petrie because he gave me a feeling
00:57that only superstars typically give you
00:59in terms of being able to take over a game.
01:01But I just – I got to stay on the offensive side of the football,
01:04and I got to go with Christian Kirk.
01:06I believe it's a Texans playoff record, eight catches, 144 yards, one touchdown.
01:11And I had to go Christian Kirk for a couple of reasons.
01:14One is – I don't know anybody that wouldn't have put Christian Kirk in the bad box of Nick Casario signs
01:26to this point.
01:28I mean, complete, total disappointment this season.
01:3116-plus million dollars for Christian Kirk.
01:34And, I mean, he brought damn near zero to the table throughout the regular season.
01:41And then who would have thought that that guy would then turn around,
01:44go eight catches, 144 yards, and a touchdown for the Texans in a playoff game.
01:50So, that alone deserves a huge tip of the cap.
01:53But then you add to the equation, Kyle went out in this game.
01:58And with no Nico Collins out there, C.J. Stroud's got to go to somebody.
02:04And while I know that this offense has never been geared around Nico Collins,
02:09so it's not like you just completely aborted mission, right?
02:13But when Nico Collins isn't out there getting the attention that he typically gets,
02:18somebody's got to go make plays.
02:20And that somebody was Christian Kirk in a major, major way.
02:25So, while I loved what Jalen Petrie did, I've got to go with Christian Kirk
02:29on the offensive side of the ball.
02:30That was impressive.
02:31Unbelievable on third down.
02:34I mean, the moment –
02:35The biggest offensive play, I would argue, they get the errant snap
02:40that takes it to third and 15, and then he gets the long third down conversion,
02:45one of C.J.'s best plays of the night.
02:48Yep.
02:48And that was a huge one going into the fourth quarter
02:51because it felt like, all right, this is a potential stop at 7'6",
02:57and they may get good field position,
03:00and all they're going to need is a field goal to take the lead.
03:03But that was a huge play for him.
03:05Yeah, man, my man had negative three yards last week.
03:10Christian Kirk had.
03:13That's right.
03:13Caught a one of them all poorly executed screens, didn't he?
03:16I had negative three yards last week, man.
03:18I would tell you, yeah, I called him two for 20.
03:21He was more than that last week.
03:24All right.
03:25My man, I institute player of the game, Sheldon Rankins.
03:30He got the big boy touchdown.
03:32I'm with you.
03:33We see several people Petrie timing in.
03:37I'm going to go Sheldon Rankins.
03:38He also had a sack and a half, right, in this game.
03:42So, he had the most sacks in this game, scored a touchdown.
03:46He could have easily gone down.
03:47He picked that thing up and got a big boy touchdown,
03:51and that's his second one of the season.
03:54And he was just dominant up front.
03:57And like you said, on that play, number 73 just got your ass kicked.
04:02I don't know if they watch film session after your season ends,
04:06so maybe he may avoid it.
04:08But he got his ass just thrown back.
04:10There was no stepping up in the pocket because Sheldon Rankins just ran him over.
04:15And he was fantastic against the run, pressure from the inside.
04:19So, Sheldon Rankins, man, I give you love, man.
04:22He is my man-eye institute player of the game.
04:24Man-eye institute, see life better.
04:27Yeah, that's a big one, man.
04:28I mean, that's what a lot of people don't realize, what he did before picking that ball up
04:34and running for a touchdown.
04:35Not only, as you mentioned, did he just, I mean, deplete a really good offensive lineman
04:41and put him in the quarterback's lap, but he gave nowhere for the quarterback to escape
04:45the edge rusher that caused the fumble.
04:48And so, I mean, just this wasn't one of those beneficiaries of the ball kind of falling at his feet,
04:53pick it up and go.
04:54So, he had as much to do with that play, that fumble happening as anybody on the field
04:59and then just had the wherewithal to pick it up and be the big man with sweet feet
05:03and get it to the end zone.
05:04So, yeah, man, that was impressive.
05:07Could have gone Kalen Bullock.
05:08Kalen Bullock had a hell of a game.
05:09He scored a touchdown, too.
05:11Yeah, yeah, that pick six.
05:13Not necessarily the catch.
05:14Hell, he threw it right to him.
05:16Burn was awfully impressive.
05:18Jalen Petrie, as I said, gave me those chill bumps of like, yeah,
05:22Jalen ain't going to let this thing get out of hand.
05:25Yeah, there's a lot there, man.
05:27There's a lot there.
05:28This was a hell of a football game for any Texas fan out there.
05:31Yeah, someone said we could have gone with Will and Daniil.
05:35Yeah, they were themselves.
05:37They were the all pros that they are.
05:39All right, I do want to build off a little real or fake here of Christian Kirk.
05:43You talked about Christian Kirk, who was your player of the game.
05:46Christian Kirk's season is all forgiven with his performance last night.
05:50Real or fake?
05:51Oh, real.
05:51Real as ever.
05:52He earned every bit of that $16 million last night.
05:56There's never been a moment when we needed somebody to step up
05:59and not just step up and have a couple of catches in this offense
06:02that spreads the ball around, but be a matchup problem
06:06and be a guy that the quarterback could depend on
06:08and make big boy plays, create separation, easy throws for the quarterback.
06:12He did it.
06:14So, yeah, no, all is forgiven, absolutely.
06:16Earned every penny.
06:17Hell, no.
06:19I believe that's real.
06:20Man, hell, no.
06:20That's fake to me.
06:22No, man.
06:23I'm glad you came through and you played well.
06:26That's $16 million, man.
06:28My man had negative three yards last week, five yards before that.
06:33No, man.
06:33It was to me more about time, about damn time,
06:40that all is forgiven.
06:43But if he does it again next week, then I'll change my tune.
06:47But, I mean.
06:48No, man.
06:49I don't even know what the hell got into him.
06:52Like, he was pulling away from that last crosser,
06:58and I think third and four where Echols was coming across with me,
07:00gave him that little jab, shake move,
07:03and created like five yards of separation.
07:05Where the hell's that been?
07:07You remember he couldn't get past that linebacker in Tennessee?
07:10Yep.
07:12And now, I mean, he's just running away from folks.
07:14So, yeah, he was great last night.
07:16But, no, man, that, yeah.
07:18I still remember you got too many single-digit yard games in here
07:24to make up for that money.
07:25All right.
07:26Real or fake, Clint?
07:28Indiana, the Hoosiers being an eight-and-a-half-point favorite over Miami
07:32with a game being played in Miami is too much.
07:35Real or fake?
07:37Fake.
07:38It's not too much.
07:39They are on the verge of skull-dragging their way to a national championship
07:43through the college football playoff.
07:44You think they're going to do it to Miami, too?
07:46I do.
07:46Eight-and-a-half, you said?
07:47I don't think it's going to be as embarrassing.
07:49Look, I think you look at Oregon,
07:51I just think Oregon left a lot to be desired.
07:53You said they were going to blow them out.
07:55I think this ends up being a quote-unquote blowout
07:59for national championship standards.
08:02But, yeah, I think that's a reasonable number, given what we've seen.
08:06Yeah, man, it does feel fair, man.
08:11Like, I do want to see, it will be fun to see what those offense
08:15and defensive lines of Miami look like against Indiana
08:18because Indiana has just looked, as you said, dominant.
08:23And I don't know, man.
08:24It feels like Miami can play with them up front like that.
08:29We'll see the rest of it.
08:31But, yeah, man, eight-and-a-half, man.
08:34They're playing in Miami.
08:36Miami's home right there.
08:39That's how impressive they've been, man.
08:40But they beat the hell out of Oregon.
08:42I mean, the number they did on Alabama was just ridiculous.
08:46They have certainly looked like the number one team.
08:49And I don't think the in Miami part matters as much.
08:53I feel like.
08:55Did you see how Indiana traveled last week?
08:56There are some people that I know in our business or just people that I know in general
09:03that are Indiana Hoosier fans or from the area, they are out.
09:08We got people out here blowing past mortgages, blowing past.
09:13I mean, anybody making that trip.
09:16Anybody making that trip.
09:17They didn't have to make the trip to Pasadena, Atlanta, and now Miami.
09:23You think they're working their way east?
09:24You think Indiana's got more fans there than Miami?
09:28Yes.
09:29Yeah.
09:29And that's a crying shame in your own back.
09:30And Miami is feeling amped and excited.
09:34But I think they're going to buy them extra $25,000 that is for everybody.
09:39That Miami fan base got a lot.
09:42It got a real USC vibe to it, boy.
09:44It can be non-existent unless you're on a national title run.
09:47Yeah.
09:48And that Indiana got to this the first time we had never had anything.
09:52And I.
09:54Yes, indeed.
09:55That Indiana fan base got a lot of once-in-a-lifetime type of thing.
10:00And that's why I think if A&M ever made a run like that, they would all just be there.
10:05It's a big if.
