00:00Doc, in the night game, a lot of people have been focused on Amari and Hampton throughout the week.
00:06I know you and the team at Sixscore.com have kind of been giving everybody a heads up on what to expect around Hampton.
00:12Where are you guys at now with kickoff later tonight?
00:16Well, I think Hampton's going to try and play. It's the playoffs.
00:20The good news is it's not his left ankle where he was on engine reserve earlier this season.
00:25It is his right ankle. It is a new inversion basketball-type ankle spring.
00:30Tape it up, spat it up, go. He's going to be effective straight ahead, perhaps less effective in cutting.
00:36And Vidal may take some of his snaps, too.
00:40So the prop play there is intriguing, although his number is somewhat depressed already.
00:45Doc, the one last thing I want to ask you before we let you go, and we really appreciate it.
00:48Yesterday, they showed a number of replays of Matthew Stafford's hand hitting a defensive lineman on the Carolina Panthers.
00:55Did you guys make much of anything about that play?
00:57Yeah, we tweeted on it.
01:00Jammed and injured his index finger, obviously no fracture.
01:03The reason why we didn't make such a big deal about it is the type of quarterback grip.
01:08Matthew Stafford has a middle finger-dominant grip, not index finger-dominant grip.
01:14It's, you know, if you really look at it, it's a 1-4-1 versus a 2-5-2.
01:18Not trying to get too technical.
01:21But the middle finger is the more important finger on his grip.
01:24Of course, the thumb for every quarterback.
01:26Index finger, less so for Matthew Stafford.
01:29And that's why, you know, he was able to make that final drive and play very well.
01:33There was a stretch there.
01:34We didn't play that well.
01:35And Greg Olson made a big deal about it.
01:36But he came back and won that game.
01:38He came back and won that game.
