00:00Some releases as well in the NFL making headlines.
00:04Yeah, I mean, this is where teams really jockey for position to really solidify the 2026 season.
00:11We saw Tyreek Hill, most notable name for the Miami Dolphins release.
00:15What does that mean for Jeff Halfley and the team moving forward?
00:18We'll see exactly how it plays out and if Tyreek Hill could be potentially on another contender, right?
00:25That was the mix throughout.
00:27Now, when Tua got hurt, Kev, we thought that for sure Miami would move on from Tyreek Hill and maybe
00:33try to solidify draft picks.
00:35They didn't do that.
00:36They kept him and now they release him in the offseason.
00:39But for Miami, they have multiple needs to fill.
00:42And for Tyreek Hill coming off a major injury, if he is, let's say, 100% healthy, he can be
00:48a benefit to a potential AFC or NFC contender.
00:52To stick on the Tyreek Hill subject, this is a pretty complicated one because Tyreek didn't necessarily offer us up,
01:03at least I don't believe, film that told us, oh, he can't contribute at a pretty high level any longer.
01:09I don't think even if he didn't suffer the big injury, we would have, I don't think we would have
01:14said he was one of the five best receivers.
01:15But top 15, probably, right?
01:20But now he's coming off of an injury that could very well slow him down.
01:25But more important than that, we don't know how much football Tyreek Hill actually projects to play in this upcoming
01:33NFL season.
01:34We know, Joe, in speaking to the pro football doc, Dr. David Chow, it's on the board Tyreek Hill doesn't
01:42even play this coming season.
01:44It probably, at minimum then, even based on where Tyreek is in his career, you would think whittles it down
01:52to just layoff caliber teams who say to themselves,
01:57hey, at minimum, we could get some postseason football out of Tyreek.
02:01I think what's fascinating, though, is what type of money could Tyreek Hill command?
02:08For a guy, again, we don't know at the moment, Joe, how much football he's even going to be eligible
02:14for next season.
02:16No, it's a great point.
02:18I mean, is it similar, Kev, to the run that OBGA had with the LA Rams when they won a
02:24Super Bowl championship?
02:25They got him at the end of the regular season, didn't they, for a playoff type of run?
02:30And he was a major contributor, scored the first touchdown against Cincinnati, right?
02:35So, again, is he going to be a 16, 17-game player where you're going to utilize him throughout the
02:42regular season,
02:43and you're trying to bank on him being a 900- or 1,000-yard receiver this year?
02:48No.
02:48I think he's more, look for the second half of the season if he is, in fact, healthy.
02:53And could he be that cherry on top where you sign him for under $10 million with a bunch of
02:58incentives?
03:01The odd or the interesting thing is there's a lot of people who are just talking about Tyreek going back
03:08to Kansas City.
03:10So, I think there's a bit of a, like, nostalgia, one final ride element to that, Joe, right?
03:16They get the enemy back as offensive coordinator.
03:18We're still waiting on whether or not Travis Kelsey is going to come back next year.
03:23But the thing is, if Tyreek Hill is commanding more than a minimum salary, which I kind of think he
03:30will,
03:31I don't really think Kansas City is going to be bidding them that heavily for Tyreek, right?
03:37Rasheed Rice is their number one.
03:38Xavier Worthy was drafted to be the replacement.
03:41If Travis is there, you would still project him to be more important than Tyreek.
03:48And also, what type of situation is Tyreek Hill looking to be in targets-wise?
03:55Does he want to be, at minimum, you would think, Joe, a top-two target on any given football team?
04:02I'm not sure he is that in Kansas City.
04:05Do you think Tyreek going to the Chiefs is inevitable the way some others seem to believe?
04:12No.
04:13I'll give you three teams that I think he could go to.
04:15I think the Buffalo Bills, clearly in need of an elite wide receiver.
04:20I'm not suggesting Tyreek is a number one.
04:22But whatever they do in the draft and in the free agent market, he could be an added dimension to
04:28Josh Allen in that offense with Joe Brady, right?
04:31How about Baltimore with Lamar Jackson?
04:33They have Zay Flowers.
04:35He could be an added dimension in Pittsburgh.
04:37I think Pittsburgh, you know, DK is supposedly the number one.
04:41If Aaron Rodgers does, in fact, come back, you have weapons there.
04:44You have a complementary piece in Kenneth Gainwell that can catch the football out of the backfield.
04:49You need speed on the perimeter and suggesting that he comes back from injury, Kev.
04:55I'm not saying that he's going to run a 4-2, 4-3-40 right back.
04:59But if he runs a 4-3, a 4-4, 4-5 in that area, that's still more speed than
05:05they have right now in Pittsburgh.
