Three years after the Juliaca massacre, one of the deadliest episodes of the protests that shook Peru in early 2023, families of the victims and social organizations gathered in front of the Palace of Justice in Lima to demand truth, justice, and redress for civilians killed by law enforcement. Memorial services were also held in Juliaca, in the Puno region, where the events took place. Relatives of the victims reaffirmed that until justice is achieved, the memory of those who died will continue to mobilize society in defense of respect and accountability.
