00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office in the Bicol region is targeting the establishment of a tent city.
00:07This is intended for internally displaced individuals living within the 6-kilometer permanent danger zone in Malilipot, Albay.
00:16Once completed, evacuees currently staying at San Jose Elementary School will be transferred to the tent city.
00:22Aside from providing better living conditions, the move aims to prevent further disruption to students' education, especially as the unrest of Mayon Volcano may persist.
00:34Meanwhile, mobile trucks and other mobile assets of the DSWD are already stationed in Malilipot and Tabaco City to provide intensified assistance to displaced families.
00:45In relation to this, the Office of Civil Defense assured the public that the government has sufficient resources to address the needs of affected residents.
