A pyroclastic flow is seen from Mayon Volcano after its dome collapses on Jan. 8, 2026. Ash clouds 100 meters high were also spotted drifting west-northwest. Ashfall was reported in Legazpi City, Ligao City, Guinobatan, Bacacay, Camalig and Anislag, Daraga, Albay. Alert Level 3 remains over Mayon and the 6-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone is enforced.
