Mayon spews lava from crater for 187th consecutive day

WATCH: Sped-up camera footage and photos of lava effusion from the Mayon Volcano summit crater recorded from 4:11 a.m. to 4:40 a.m. on July 11, 2026. Effusive eruption at Mayon Volcano continues for the 187th consecutive day, generating incandescent lava flows, pyroclastic density currents (PDC) or 'uson,' and rockfalls. Alert Level 3 prevails over Mayon and entry into the 6-km Permanent Danger Zone should be prohibited.
