Michael Unthank from Brian Unthank Rural, gives a roundup on the fourth day of Wodonga weaner sales.

00:00Today we have about 3,000 quality cattle, they're all sort of Eurocross, Herefitts, Blackboarder.

00:06The steer market started off with the older steers, a bit stronger I thought, probably on Tuesday,

00:12with a lot of those feed away, 30 feeders steers make a sort of $4.74.80 a kilo.

00:18And then Albuena run started off with the Herefitts and they were magnificent by the Herefitts from everyone.

00:24I thought the company had a feature line there, and they sold very, very well.

00:27I think mostly around that $5 a kilo, or like steer car, steer car, and Blackboard is the same.

00:33What wasn't the whole, I thought it was a sale so far, was the Eurocross, Eurocross gears.

00:39There's a good lot of Eurocross gears making well over $5, and plenty of weight here on them.

00:44So, you know, close to 2,000 feet of better end of your car for the 2,000 Eurocross,

00:49and they're happy to be able to receive pride to this.

00:53What we've just done on the heifers, and the heifers have kicked off pretty well,

00:57probably no better than Tuesday, but most of the heifers trade around $4.64.70 a kilo.

01:03Plenty of weight is too, so they're coming back from $6.70, $8.80.

01:07They're heavy heifers, they haven't got some of the white ones yet,

01:10but I think that's going to continue on pretty well.

01:12The bike support has been enormous to feed a lot of Queenslanders here,

01:16a lot of Queenslanders, a lot of you can, and they've been very strong.

01:20You know, you've got your Goulburn Valley,

01:23you've got your Goulburn Valley,

01:26and you know, feed lines, of course, can get the job really well.

01:29There's a lot of the cars here that don't have a bit of weight in there,

01:31so that was, yeah, that was pleasing.

01:33I think it was a very promising sale.

01:35It looks good, all was good for the new year,

01:39and we were very happy.

01:41I think everyone would go home happy with the sale of the day.
