00:00You've got six teams without a coach or a head coach, and you probably have a team or two that now say to themselves,
00:05oh, wait a minute, I can go get John Harbaugh to be my head coach?
00:09Here's the problem. Maybe not problem.
00:12Here's what I find somewhat comical, though, about what's going on with everyone guffawing over themselves
00:20and on their knees, putting chapstick on right now, talking about how, oh, you've got to go get John Harbaugh.
00:26You've got to go get John Harbaugh.
00:28Why not just go get Mike McCarthy?
00:32Mike McCarthy's been just as successful as John Harbaugh has.
00:36Mike McCarthy has won a Super Bowl.
00:38John Harbaugh has won a Super Bowl.
00:40So for everybody that's bending over backwards right now going, oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh,
00:45the New York Giants have to go get John Harbaugh.
00:47Tell Kevin Stefanski not even to come to the meeting, we've got to get John Harbaugh.
00:52Why not just go get Mike McCarthy?
00:54Mike McCarthy has been just as successful as both John Harbaugh and Sean Payton.
01:00He's just fatter.
01:02If Mike McCarthy was thin, he would be thought of right now as the number one candidate for the New York Giants.
01:10You guys are crazy right now with John Harbaugh.
01:13I haven't heard some Eagles fans earlier today.
01:17I heard them because I was talking to them who are not fans of Nick Sirianni saying that if the Eagles should lose in the first round of the playoffs this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers,
01:28and they might, it's going to be a tough game, that the Eagles should fire Nick Sirianni and go get John Harbaugh.
01:36What the hell's going on?
01:37Well, John Harbaugh, though, is a better coach than Mike McCarthy.
01:40You want to know how I know?
01:42How do you tangibly back that up?
01:43Well, Harbaugh has a couple more playoff wins.
01:46Okay.
01:47That matters.
01:47That better quarterback play, but go ahead.
01:49No, no, we say that, but so coaching doesn't matter with the players.
01:53It's just the players.
01:54No, no.
01:54So we're picking and choosing.
01:56Goes hand in hand.
01:56Obviously, a better coach makes good players better.
01:59No doubt about it.
01:59Harbaugh has a higher winning percentage.
02:02He just does.
02:03And also, he wasn't just a failure in Dallas.
02:07The Dallas Stinch.
02:08Mike McCarthy went to the playoffs with the Dallas Cowboys.
02:10He won one playoff game.
02:11I'm just blown out by the Green Bay Packers.
02:12Won one playoff game total.
02:14In Tampa in the other year.
02:15That's right.
02:15Won one playoff game total.
02:17Okay.
02:17While he was there.
02:18All right.
02:18And flamed out.
02:19And nobody that leads the Dallas Stinch goes on to win.
02:23Okay.
02:23It's a rule.
02:24So, look.
02:25John Harbaugh is a good coach.
02:27I'm not suggesting he's not.
02:29And I do think the New York Giants situation of the teams that we know have already fired
02:34their head coach is the best situation.
02:37Obviously, excluding Baltimore.
02:38Because Harbaugh, you know, you follow what I'm saying?
02:40Yeah.
02:40If you put the Ravens out to the side for this conversation.
02:43Because I think the Ravens is a better job than the Giants job.
02:46It is.
02:47Because the Ravens have a better quarterback.
02:48Absolutely.
02:48All right.
02:49And that's no disrespect towards Jackson Dart.
02:51Jackson Dart is not yet Lamar Jackson.
02:53He might get there.
02:55Might.
02:55But he's not Lamar Jackson yet.
02:57So, I think the Ravens is the best job available.
03:00But because we're talking right now about John Harbaugh, you got to put them to the side.
03:05Putting them to the side, I do think the Giants is the best job available.
03:09I do.
03:10Because they have a quarterback, right?
03:12Right.
03:12And they actually have a couple other good players on that roster, okay?
03:17But this infatuation that Giants fans have, my radio partner, same like my producer, are, you know, bending over backwards that the Giants have to pull out all the stops and go get John Harbaugh at any cost.
03:34And while, yes, John Harbaugh is an obvious upgrade over what they've had for the better part, well, let's be honest, since Tom Coughlin was their head coach, so more than a decade later, I think you got to slow your roll a little bit.
03:49And I'll tell you the flip side of this, that nobody is considering.
03:54If I'm John Harbaugh, yes, the New York Giants is a good situation.
03:59And yes, it seems like I can write my own ticket to become the head coach there, right?
04:04But if I'm John Harbaugh, I might just want to wait a little bit.
04:08I might want to wait to see, do the Green Bay Packers lose to the Chicago Bears in the first round of the playoffs this weekend?
04:15And does Matt LaFleur get fired?
04:17I might want to wait to see if the Eagles lose to San Francisco and if Harry Roseman is like, you know what, I have a chance to get a better coach, I'm going to go do that.
