00:00cap what are you hearing out of cleveland there's been some chatter around kevin stefanski

00:05not just throughout this season but really starting to peak over the last 48 hours

00:10do you feel like the writing is already on the wall here for cleveland's i believe multiple time

00:15coach of the year twice yeah two and six years yeah i this is just a feeling that i've had all

00:23week it really started on tuesday um ethnic people connected to that situation times were ominous he

00:28doesn't have quite the support that i thought maybe a month ago this is another situation if you

00:34look at their injury problems quarterback problems i don't know what he wants stefanski to do uh

00:39inderbury their general manager who came under major fire obviously for the deshaun watson trade

00:43and other drafts and not going very well he's actually had his best draft uh i don't i don't

00:48i don't see him going but yeah i i just don't feel from what i've heard around the league he's got the

00:53support that a lot of us who cover this business thought he had doesn't mean he won't be head coach

00:57elsewhere he'll go on the top of many lists again guys look at the offensive list guys a two-time

01:02coach of the year in cleveland that matters but it's uh it's a little surprising to me um i'm

01:07that that's yeah i try to give as much detail and that's kind of where i'm at here we'll see what

01:12happens tomorrow but uh now if you look at that situation another thing i do want to talk about

01:17briefly here for a lot of these jobs kevin you mentioned the desirability of the giants job which

01:22is by the way there's a lot of talent there it's been untapped it hasn't developed well enough

01:25there's a lot of talent left cleveland's got some good young talent because this draft was pretty

01:29good that'll be attractive but the uncertainty of quarterback if you're a quick candidate he was

01:35other opportunities you'll probably look to the giants first to be honest uh cap i'm looking at

01:41the list as well and uh kevin and i talked about it earlier uh atlanta playing much better down the

01:48stretch but does that mean raheem morris is safe or is i think they have to move on but

01:54what are you hearing around raheem morris uh this week yeah joe arthur blank the the owner is so

02:01patient there have been times i remember talking to people with the club uh from different regimes

02:06where you would think that the head coach was you know in trouble in terms of keeping his job but

02:12arthur's very patient they had see what you want to see from raheem morris and his coaches show me if

02:18you're a decision maker that you could close the season while you've got buy in the players and

02:22they've got that uh terry fontano has done a decent job but the the the decision to draft a guy like

02:29michael pennant's wild talented who had a major injury history and unfortunately you saw what

02:33happened here and the craziness of the cousins contract then drafting pennix was not seen as a

02:40very good decision around the league that one that one bears watching though he's added a lot of talent

02:45though that but the the situation with that that one there is the uncertainty of developing that

02:50quarterback bishop because pennix has had a major injury history to come back for another bad one

02:54the um we started with new york i'll end in new york cap aaron glenn the jets the season has been a

03:02nightmare he is a first year head coach the expectation seems to be he will be back is that

03:08what you're hearing around the jets as well oh yeah i've i've been saying it uh on newswire for a couple

03:14weeks i know it doesn't look good uh but my understanding is aaron glenn his relationship

03:19with uh woody johnson and ownership their ownership group is very strong he played there they know him

03:24i'm told behind the scenes he's brought in a new culture of terms of accountability

03:28because you're walking through the hornet's nest when you work for the jets when you with all the

03:33firings and he's trying to bring a calmness i know the defense has been pathetically bad

03:37mostly but look at all that look what's happened there the sauce gardener trade the quinn and

03:43williams trade the problems at quarterback they got that wrong obviously they got to figure that

03:47out going forward they're a nightmare situation everything i've been told the last two or three

03:53weeks is aaron glenn is not in trouble at all but woody johnson and that ownership group you never know

03:57but i don't expect to chase uh i think that is a incredible little caveat there cap which is more than fair
