00:00Due to a number of factors, including corruption, economic problems and foreign domination, and this led to the empire losing many of its territories.
00:11Then came World War I, which greatly weakened the empire, and it led to the Ottoman Sultan losing control over his army and a lot of his land.
00:21After the war, the victorious powers met up to discuss the fate of the Ottoman lands, and they decided to give most of it away.
00:30And on top of this, the Ottoman population had been sharply reduced during the war, and so the Sultan no longer had enough soldiers, or subjects.
00:41And so that was the end of the Ottoman Empire.
