00:00:00Coated patterns in stone, only visible from above, and mysterious crop formations, crafted with extraordinary precision.
00:00:14For nearly two decades, ancient aliens has traveled the globe exploring towering megalithic structures, mysterious artifacts, and stories of otherworldly beings
00:00:27in a quest for evidence that might reveal the truth of our extraterrestrial origins.
00:00:34We really have to ask, what is the significance of these geoglyphs?
00:00:37Are they calling cards? Are they signs for those in the sky?
00:00:41What are we going to learn from all this?
00:00:43Now, we take a look back through the ancient aliens' archives to the show's very origins
00:00:49to examine the evidence that we are not alone.
00:00:54We have never been alone.
00:00:57When we talk about ancient mysteries, one of the most fascinating things to me
00:01:08is why people would build all around the world things that can only be seen from up above, from the sky.
00:01:17That's right. I mean, we have standing stones, we have structures, we have geoglyphs that you really can't make out from the ground.
00:01:24So you have to ask yourself, why, and were they meant to be seen by extraterrestrial visitors?
00:01:33Right. I mean, who else would see them?
00:01:35The most well-known example of this, of course, are the Nazca Lines in Peru.
00:01:38And we did a whole episode about geoglyphs around the world back in 2013.
00:01:47Southern Peru, 1927.
00:01:50While hiking in the foothills of the arid Nazca Desert, archaeologist Toribio Majia Cespe discovers what appears to be
00:02:02a large network of ancient roads carved into the Earth.
00:02:08Years later, as airplane travel to the region becomes more frequent,
00:02:12aerial flyovers reveal nearly 100 other designs in the nearby landscape.
00:02:18Known as geoglyphs, they depict animals, flowers, and even a mysterious human-like being.
00:02:30Scattered over a nearly 200-square-mile area,
00:02:35these lines and figures have become collectively known as the Nazca Lines.
00:02:40The Nazca Lines consist of these massive drawings, or carvings, if you like, on the ground.
00:02:51Everything from geometric symbols, lines, to animals, even fish, birds.
00:02:57But the intriguing thing about them is, you know, number one, they're massive.
00:03:01And they can really only be seen properly from the sky.
00:03:04There are over 800 straight lines, there are over 70 animal figures, there are over 150 geometrical shapes.
00:03:16We have glyphs of different figurines on the ground.
00:03:20We have these intricate lines and what appear to be runways spread all around the desert.
00:03:26Some of these actually show mathematical diagrams built thousands of years ago,
00:03:31which really raises the question, why?
00:03:34There's enormous amount of unanswered and perhaps unanswerable questions that arise from the phenomena.
00:03:45The largest of the figures is nearly 1,000 feet, or the size of three football fields.
00:03:53While the longest line extends almost nine miles.
00:03:58According to mainstream archaeologists, these mysterious earth drawings were created by the Nazca,
00:04:06an ancient people that flourished in the region between the 1st and 8th century A.D.
00:04:12The lines were formed by the careful removal of the reddish iron oxide pebbles that make up the desert surface.
00:04:22Once exposed, the underlying dirt, which contains high amounts of lime, hardened and was resistant to erosion.
00:04:29The Nazca plain is made up of layers of light-colored kind of rock and dirt with dark-colored rock and dirt just on top.
00:04:37It's very simple and they just remove dark-colored stuff to reveal these kind of white-looking lines over the landscape.
00:04:44It's like a canvas that isn't being disturbed, that's maintained its integrity for hundreds or even thousands of years.
00:04:53The reason why they have survived is because of the desert conditions.
00:04:56Truly, if you make a geoglyph at the Nazca desert environment today, it will be found hundreds of years from now.
00:05:05There is hardly any rain, hardly any wind.
00:05:08Anything you make here will last for eternity.
00:05:14But why did the Nazca people feel it necessary to make these elaborate and massive drawings in the earth?
00:05:22What purpose were they intended to serve?
00:05:25And why were they designed in such a way that they could have only been seen and appreciated from the sky at a time when aircraft didn't even exist?
00:05:37The only place you can see them above is that somehow you're floating in midair.
00:05:43It has been suggested that whoever inhabited the Nazca plateau, that they had access to some type of balloon flight
00:05:51so that they could appreciate what they had created on the ground.
00:05:57If the Nazca population had access to balloon flight, the Spanish chroniclers would have most certainly recorded that in their reports.
00:06:07But there is not a single word that describes that the Nazcans had access to hot air balloons.
00:06:13They would have written that down, but they didn't.
00:06:16So it didn't exist.
00:06:18By default, we're in the bailiwick of highly advanced terrestrial technology.
00:06:23And that is really the anomaly of the Nazca lines.
00:06:27They really are easy to make when you look at it because it is only really removing the top layer of a surface.
00:06:35But the magnitude of the figures is what makes this such a complex undertaking.
00:06:44Many of the lines at Nazca go for miles, perfectly straight through the desert.
00:06:52There are various trapezoids and spirals and other glyphs that are so large
00:06:58that the surveyors would need some direction from the sky.
00:07:05And this is where aliens or some kind of people with flight
00:07:10had to be involved with the creation of the Nazca lines.
00:07:21I was in Peru for a month in 1987.
00:07:24I went with a pilot over the plains of Nazca.
00:07:29The first pattern that the pilot said,
00:07:32well, let's aim for that long six-mile triangle.
00:07:35And there have been laser surveys done.
00:07:38And it is remarkably accurate, this triangle.
00:07:42And it looked like something had pressed the whole ground down at least 24 inches.
00:07:48How would you press down a six-mile-long perfect triangle
00:07:55into the desert of Nazca?
00:07:59What kind of technology can do that?
00:08:02Not the feet of ancient people.
00:08:08How could the ancient people of Nazca have created such massive geoglyphs
00:08:13without the capability of flight or the use of advanced tools?
00:08:18Might these mysterious lines have actually been created
00:08:22with the help of otherworldly beings,
00:08:25as ancient astronaut theorists believe?
00:08:30The fact that these designs can only be seen from above, from the sky,
00:08:34is an indication that they were used as navigational markers
00:08:38for the gods when they were actually here.
00:08:40So the question then becomes, you know,
00:08:43were they drawn in this way as navigational markers for the gods
00:08:47to actually fly their vehicles in?
00:08:51Let's assume for a moment that extraterrestrials sent down
00:08:53some type of an unmanned craft,
00:08:55like a rover that we have on Mars right now,
00:08:57that is collecting samples and is driving around a desert plateau.
00:09:01It, of course, leaves behind some type of tracks.
00:09:04And then the natives just witnessed this,
00:09:07would look at each other and say,
00:09:08wow, we were just visited by God.
00:09:12When in reality, no such thing happened.
00:09:14Now, could it be the case that the gods directed
00:09:22the building of them to the people below?
00:09:26Could it be that there was some sort of teaching process involved?
00:09:29The fact that we're talking about geometric lines and things like this,
00:09:35was it a teaching process by somebody up there
00:09:37for the so-called lesser perceived people down below?
00:09:42We're still asking questions 1,500 years later,
00:09:45but, you know, to this day, they fascinate people
00:09:48and just provoke endless controversy.
00:09:51Were the Nazca Lines really navigational markers
00:09:55for otherworldly beings visiting Earth?
00:09:59Or were they meant to commemorate an extraterrestrial encounter,
00:10:04one that happened tens of thousands of years ago?
00:10:12Modern-day historians and anthropologists
00:10:15believe the Nazca people were one of several ancestors
00:10:18of the Inca civilization,
00:10:20the largest empire in pre-Columbian America.
00:10:23In the 13th century,
00:10:28the Inca empire thrived in the Andes mountain region of South America.
00:10:33According to legend,
00:10:35the mysterious Incan creator god, Viracocha,
00:10:38commissioned the Nazca lines and glyphs in the remote past.
00:10:42And these were said to be created by Viracocha himself,
00:10:48who was the great teacher god of the Andes.
00:10:51And so where he came from is still a mystery.
00:10:54He could have been from Sumeria.
00:10:56It could have been connected somehow with the Anunnaki.
00:10:59No one really knows,
00:11:00but the same legends and the same stories
00:11:03of these great gods appear throughout the world,
00:11:05especially all the way through the Americas.
00:11:09We know that they are part of a creation mythology
00:11:13in which some of the figurines which are depicted here
00:11:17are said to be deities,
00:11:19are said to be part of the creation mythology
00:11:21as to how the people who lived in that area
00:11:23and who made these geoglyphs came about.
00:11:28They are messages to be seen from above
00:11:31to basically say that the people on the ground
00:11:33still live in accordance with the rules
00:11:35established by the deities who came from above
00:11:37to teach the people on the ground
00:11:40about civilization and various other aspects of culture.
00:11:45Could the lines and glyphs of Nazca
00:11:47really have been the work of the Inca god Viracocha
00:11:51as their legends suggest?
00:11:54If so, what was the purpose of carving
00:11:57these strange geoglyphs into the Earth?
00:12:00Perhaps the answers can be found
00:12:03by taking a closer look
00:12:04at one of Nazca's most mysterious figures,
00:12:08one that has become known as L. Astronautho.
00:12:20Switzerland, 1968.
00:12:23Researcher and writer Erich von Daniken
00:12:27publishes his first book,
00:12:30Chariots of the Gods.
00:12:32In it, he introduces the revolutionary notion
00:12:36that the Nazca lines were created by the Nazca people
00:12:40after witnessing extraterrestrials using advanced technology
00:12:44technology and a sophisticated knowledge of mathematics.
00:12:50Erich von Daniken was one of the first
00:12:53to actually do aerial flyovers of the Nazca region
00:12:56and was one of the first researchers
00:12:58to not only look at the diagrams on the plain floor,
00:13:01but also in the hills of Nazca,
00:13:04we find intricate mathematical diagrams
00:13:07that have never been documented before.
00:13:09When you fly over the desert,
00:13:22you see down gigantic lines
00:13:25seen from the air.
00:13:27They give you the imagination of airstrips
00:13:29because they start abruptly, end abruptly.
00:13:31Sometimes they cross.
00:13:33They look like airstrips.
00:13:36When Erich drew the comparison
00:13:38as to how this looks like a network of runways,
00:13:41this to draw a visual comparison
00:13:44to what they look like from above.
00:13:47They are not runways.
00:13:49They would not support the weight
00:13:50of anything physically landing there.
00:13:55And some theorize that they were runways.
00:13:59I don't believe that for a moment.
00:14:02Hell, I was in the Air Force for six years
00:14:05and none of the aircraft that we had
00:14:07would be capable of landing on that as a runway.
00:14:11I think it's more of a attention-getter.
00:14:15You can see them from space.
00:14:18So I think that it's a signal.
00:14:25In the more than four decades
00:14:27since the publication of Chariots of the Gods,
00:14:31Erich von Daniken's controversial theories
00:14:33concerning the Nazca lines
00:14:35have continued to spark widespread study.
00:14:38Some scholars, after discovering curious patterns
00:14:42in the numerous designs,
00:14:44suggest that the Nazca lines
00:14:46might actually be one of the earliest known examples
00:14:49of applied geometry.
00:14:52They were interesting geometric figures.
00:14:55They could draw a figure
00:14:56and then they could envision making it even bigger.
00:14:59You're making angles,
00:15:01you're approximating distances,
00:15:02and that innate skill of us to deal with geometry
00:15:05I think translates to our earliest art forms.
00:15:11It's interesting as you look at these designs
00:15:14on the plains of Nazca.
00:15:15Some of them have very, very interesting relationships
00:15:18to the skies overhead.
00:15:21There's a very famous glyph of a spider
00:15:24with one leg that extends way, way out.
00:15:26And if you take that
00:15:27and flip it into sort of a mirror situation,
00:15:30what you can plainly see
00:15:31is that the spider is meant
00:15:33to represent the constellation of Orion
00:15:35and the spider's leg, the extension,
00:15:37is meant to represent the star Sirius.
00:15:41So whoever put these designs
00:15:43on the plains of Nazca
00:15:45understood the same thing
00:15:47that all of the other ancient cultures
00:15:48before them understood,
00:15:50which is that there's some critical importance
00:15:52to understanding Orion and Sirius
00:15:55and their relationship to the Earth.
00:16:00But could the Nazca figures
00:16:02really have had a more profound purpose?
00:16:07Some ancient astronaut theorists
00:16:09believe they were created
00:16:10as a means of communicating messages to the gods,
00:16:15messages that may have also included a plea
00:16:18for them to return.
00:16:22Ancient astronaut theorists
00:16:25believe the mysterious figure
00:16:27known as El Astronado
00:16:29could hold a clue to the Nazca mystery.
00:16:33And they call him the spaceman.
00:16:35And he appears to have a space helmet
00:16:37or something on his head
00:16:38and he's got one arm up
00:16:40and he's waving.
00:16:41And he would seem this is one of the sky gods.
00:16:46Or if he's not one of the sky gods himself,
00:16:49he's one of the Nazca people
00:16:52who's waving to the sky gods
00:16:54and saying,
00:16:55Hi, we're here.
00:16:57Come and land.
00:16:58We know you came here before.
00:17:01Come back.
00:17:03You have a figure
00:17:04that looks like E.T.
00:17:05with the big eyes
00:17:07and the big head.
00:17:08And one hand
00:17:09is pointing to the sky
00:17:11and the other
00:17:12is pointing to Earth
00:17:14as if it was some type of a message.
00:17:17Hey, something happened here.
00:17:19We were visited by beings from above.
00:17:22Is the mysterious figure
00:17:26known as El Astronado
00:17:28evidence of an extraterrestrial visitation
00:17:32in the distant past
00:17:33as some researchers believe?
00:17:36And if so,
00:17:38might this suggest a reason
00:17:39why extraterrestrial visitors
00:17:42may have landed at Nazca
00:17:43in the first place?
00:17:45We sent scientists
00:17:52from the University of Dresden
00:17:54to Nazca.
00:17:55They measured the magnetic field
00:17:57and they found a change
00:18:00in the magnetic field
00:18:01under some of the lines.
00:18:04And also,
00:18:05we measured
00:18:06the conduction
00:18:08electricity
00:18:09along the lines
00:18:10and right next to it
00:18:13the ability
00:18:14to conduct currency
00:18:16was 8,000 times higher
00:18:19on the lines.
00:18:22And they found
00:18:24that 8 feet
00:18:25below
00:18:26one of these lines
00:18:28the magnetic field
00:18:29definitely changes.
00:18:32So we have the result
00:18:33there is something
00:18:35in the ground
00:18:35but we don't know
00:18:36what it is.
00:18:44Is it really possible
00:18:46that something
00:18:46in the Earth
00:18:47might have attracted
00:18:49an otherworldly species
00:18:50to Nazca?
00:18:54Could it have been
00:18:55an outpost
00:18:56for a mining operation
00:18:57of precious metals
00:18:58or perhaps minerals
00:19:00needed
00:19:01for rocket fuel?
00:19:03It's been said
00:19:04that if any extraterrestrial
00:19:05wanted to come to Earth
00:19:07Nazca would be
00:19:08a great place
00:19:09for them to land.
00:19:10Nitrates
00:19:10and various things
00:19:11that we use
00:19:12in our modern propulsion
00:19:13are found in abundance.
00:19:14Maybe it's possible
00:19:15that extraterrestrials
00:19:16were aware
00:19:17of this location
00:19:18as an energy source
00:19:19and ancient man
00:19:20left these depictions
00:19:21and runways
00:19:22as a way
00:19:23to entice
00:19:24those beings
00:19:24to come back.
00:19:26We find
00:19:26that the Nazca
00:19:27civilization
00:19:28was placed
00:19:30in nitrate-rich
00:19:31environments.
00:19:32They had no purpose
00:19:33for these nitrates.
00:19:35The question might be
00:19:36whether nitrate
00:19:37was indeed of importance
00:19:39to the people
00:19:40who came to this area
00:19:42maybe in prehistoric times
00:19:45maybe in extraterrestrial civilization
00:19:47somehow had a purpose
00:19:49for this nitrate
00:19:50because nitrate
00:19:52is used
00:19:52in an awful lot
00:19:53of interesting
00:19:54technological applications
00:19:56today.
00:19:58Such applications
00:19:59as space travel.
00:20:03But might the extraterrestrial
00:20:05contact at Nazca
00:20:06have been designed
00:20:07to support
00:20:08an even greater presence
00:20:10that we have yet
00:20:10to recognize
00:20:11and could Nazca
00:20:14have in time
00:20:15served its purpose
00:20:16only to be
00:20:18abandoned?
00:20:21With any visit
00:20:22or with any project
00:20:23the time arrives
00:20:25when something
00:20:27is finished
00:20:27and that is
00:20:30why some of these contacts
00:20:31have ended
00:20:32because the extraterrestrials
00:20:34went on
00:20:35to different places.
00:20:36when we talk
00:20:42about formations
00:20:43that pretty much
00:20:43can only be seen
00:20:44from the air
00:20:45then one of my favorites
00:20:47is right here
00:20:48in the United States
00:20:49and that serpent mound
00:20:50in Ohio.
00:20:52Yeah and what's so interesting
00:20:53is it's a giant
00:20:54Native American effigy mound
00:20:55which are burial sites
00:20:57but there's no burials
00:20:58at serpent mound.
00:20:59Yeah and it's right
00:21:00on the edge
00:21:01of this enormous crater
00:21:02where there's all kinds
00:21:03of magnetic anomalies
00:21:04so you have to wonder
00:21:06if they're not marking
00:21:07this location
00:21:08for alien visitors.
00:21:14Adams County, Ohio.
00:21:17At the end
00:21:18of the 1700s
00:21:19President George Washington
00:21:21awarded what was then
00:21:23the unchartered land
00:21:25beyond the Appalachian Mountains
00:21:26to Revolutionary War veterans
00:21:29in 600 acre parcels
00:21:31as payment
00:21:32for their service.
00:21:34But when the settlers arrived
00:21:36they found much
00:21:38of the land
00:21:39covered with thousands
00:21:40of Indian burial mounds
00:21:42and one of these
00:21:44was very different
00:21:45from the rest.
00:21:47Imagine when you're
00:21:48pushing west
00:21:49and all of a sudden
00:21:50you find this gigantic
00:21:51effigy mound
00:21:51in the form of a serpent.
00:21:53What you have
00:21:55is a gigantic structure
00:21:57which just sits there
00:21:58in the middle
00:21:58of a very interesting landscape.
00:22:00Serpent Mound
00:22:01was one of the amazing
00:22:03mysterious mounds
00:22:04found by the first settlers
00:22:06as they came over
00:22:06the Appalachian Mountains.
00:22:08There were thousands
00:22:09of mounds
00:22:09but Serpent Mound
00:22:10must have been special.
00:22:15Like the Nazca Lines
00:22:17in Peru
00:22:18Serpent Mound
00:22:20is a giant
00:22:21prehistoric structure
00:22:23that looks as though
00:22:25it is meant to be viewed
00:22:26only from the sky.
00:22:29When you see
00:22:30the Great Serpent Mound
00:22:32in Ohio
00:22:33it's massively huge
00:22:35and it can't really
00:22:37be appreciated
00:22:37when you're standing there
00:22:39looking at it.
00:22:40What we have here
00:22:41is meant to be seen
00:22:42from the sky.
00:22:45It's mysterious
00:22:47in the fact
00:22:48that it is on
00:22:49elevated plateau
00:22:50and concealed
00:22:51from the world
00:22:53unless you're flying over
00:22:56it in a plane
00:22:57and it's on
00:22:58very uneven ground
00:22:59and really
00:23:01to lay that out
00:23:02and make it right
00:23:03you'd almost have to be
00:23:04above looking down
00:23:05to get it right
00:23:06which is a mystery.
00:23:10This 1,330 foot long
00:23:13structure
00:23:13winds across the land
00:23:15and depicts
00:23:16a coiled snake
00:23:17eating what appears
00:23:19to be an egg.
00:23:23It is the largest
00:23:24effigy mound
00:23:25in the world
00:23:26and curiously
00:23:27unlike most
00:23:28Native American mounds
00:23:30the Great Serpent Mound
00:23:32was not constructed
00:23:33for burials.
00:23:35Serpent Mound
00:23:36had no burials
00:23:37it's one of those
00:23:38mysterious mounds
00:23:40that offered us
00:23:41no clue
00:23:42as to who the builders were
00:23:43but on the property
00:23:44there were burial mounds
00:23:46dated from
00:23:48about very early
00:23:50Adina period
00:23:51nearly 3,000 years ago.
00:23:53Another curious aspect
00:23:55of Serpent Mound
00:23:56is where the ancient
00:23:58Native Americans
00:23:59chose to build it
00:24:00on the outside swell
00:24:02of a five mile wide
00:24:04meteor crater.
00:24:06300 million years ago
00:24:08a meteor came
00:24:09into this area
00:24:10and struck the earth
00:24:11going about
00:24:1250,000 miles an hour.
00:24:14The Serpent Mound
00:24:15is built right
00:24:16on the very edge
00:24:17of the crater
00:24:17and there's magnetic
00:24:19anomalies and faults
00:24:20that go across
00:24:21the Serpent Mound
00:24:21and that the Native
00:24:23Americans could douse them
00:24:24and they could feel
00:24:25the positive energy
00:24:26that's coming
00:24:26out of the ground.
00:24:29If you bring a compass
00:24:30to the Great Serpent Mound
00:24:32there's certain spots
00:24:33where the compass needle
00:24:34just keeps going.
00:24:36So obviously
00:24:36we have some weird
00:24:38magnetic fields there
00:24:40and also some
00:24:40gravitational anomalies.
00:24:42The myth has it
00:24:43that the Native Americans
00:24:44when they came here
00:24:45could see birds
00:24:47similar to passenger pigeons
00:24:48or homing pigeons
00:24:49circling by the millions
00:24:51because within the skull
00:24:53of the pigeon
00:24:54is a little piece
00:24:55of hematite
00:24:56or magnetite
00:24:57and that's how
00:24:58they navigate
00:24:58and they couldn't figure out
00:25:00where north was.
00:25:01Can you imagine
00:25:02millions of birds
00:25:03flying in a circle
00:25:03five miles wide?
00:25:07In addition to creating
00:25:08magnetic anomalies
00:25:09the meteor also deposited
00:25:12a number of elements
00:25:13not indigenous to the area
00:25:15including one of the rarest
00:25:17elements on earth
00:25:19iridium.
00:25:21When we look at the location
00:25:22of the Serpent Mound
00:25:23we find not only
00:25:24that there is iron
00:25:25that there is uranium
00:25:26but also iridium.
00:25:28Iridium can withstand
00:25:29temperatures up to
00:25:302,000 Celsius
00:25:31it is non-corrosive
00:25:34and it's actually been used
00:25:36in unmanned spacecraft.
00:25:37A lot of iridium
00:25:39apparently comes from
00:25:41outer space
00:25:42rather than being found
00:25:44on the earth.
00:25:45There is a use of iridium
00:25:47for thermoelectric circuits.
00:25:50These deep space probes
00:25:52include actually
00:25:54a radioactive source
00:25:55because it's the only thing
00:25:57that can provide enough power
00:26:00when you're out beyond Jupiter
00:26:02and there's no sunlight
00:26:03and there's no nothing.
00:26:05We have iron, iridium
00:26:07and uranium
00:26:08three substances
00:26:10which definitely
00:26:11should not be considered
00:26:12to be of any use
00:26:13to Native Americans.
00:26:14The question then is
00:26:15to who are they of use?
00:26:18Ancient astronaut theorists
00:26:20believe extraterrestrials
00:26:22may have come to this site
00:26:23to mine iridium
00:26:24for their spacecraft
00:26:25and point to numerous caves
00:26:28found in the crater's swell
00:26:30beneath the mound
00:26:31as evidence of this.
00:26:33Right here
00:26:34we can see one of those caves
00:26:36is pretty large
00:26:37and since this site
00:26:39is believed to be
00:26:39many, many millions
00:26:40of years old
00:26:41there's a chance
00:26:42that there are
00:26:43many, many caves.
00:26:45But if alien visitors
00:26:47really did come here
00:26:49to mine iridium
00:26:50and other elements
00:26:51might this explain
00:26:52why the serpent mound
00:26:54was built on a scale
00:26:55that made its shape
00:26:56visible from the sky.
00:27:00The serpent mound
00:27:01is a marker for space
00:27:03according to the Shawnee Indians.
00:27:06They're convinced
00:27:07that space travelers
00:27:09are using serpent mound
00:27:10as a marker.
00:27:13Ancient astronaut theorists
00:27:15also point to the placement
00:27:17and shape
00:27:18of the great serpent mound
00:27:20as proof of its
00:27:21extraterrestrial origins.
00:27:24The serpent itself
00:27:26was aligned to
00:27:27a constellation
00:27:28that had its apex
00:27:30at the height
00:27:32of the night sky
00:27:335,000 years ago.
00:27:35The constellation Draconis
00:27:36was used to align
00:27:38the great pyramid.
00:27:42In addition to lining up
00:27:44with the stars of Draconis
00:27:45the coils of serpent mound
00:27:47also align with the solar events
00:27:50of the solstice
00:27:51and equinox
00:27:52as well as the 18.6 year
00:27:55lunar cycle.
00:27:57Could these precise
00:27:59astronomical alignments
00:28:01suggest that the serpent mound
00:28:03served a greater purpose
00:28:05than just acting
00:28:06as a marker?
00:28:08Some believe
00:28:09that because of its
00:28:10magnetic anomalies
00:28:11this site
00:28:12may also have been used
00:28:14to harness energy.
00:28:17These magnetic anomalies
00:28:18these faults
00:28:19attract lightning.
00:28:21The serpent mound
00:28:22is right on the edge
00:28:24of an outcropping
00:28:25of pure limestone
00:28:26or dolomite
00:28:27which is even better
00:28:29than the limestone
00:28:30they built
00:28:30the great pyramid from
00:28:31and it's highly
00:28:33semi-conductive.
00:28:36This is what I call
00:28:38the serpent mound stone.
00:28:40It's an unusual feature.
00:28:43It seems to be made
00:28:44of a different kind
00:28:45of dolomite
00:28:46than what exists
00:28:47on the outcropping
00:28:48of the general serpent.
00:28:49This stone could have been placed
00:28:51in the center of the oval
00:28:53and therefore
00:28:54you wouldn't get
00:28:54a lot of random strikes
00:28:56so much as you would
00:28:57a lot of strikes
00:28:58that would tend
00:28:59to come to the stone.
00:29:01Was the great serpent mound
00:29:07really a hub
00:29:09of ancient
00:29:10extraterrestrial visitation?
00:29:12And could this effigy mound
00:29:14have been
00:29:15a deliberate signpost
00:29:16to mark the location
00:29:18of an energy source
00:29:19on earth?
00:29:21If so
00:29:22are there others?
00:29:25When it comes to things
00:29:27that are made
00:29:27to be seen from the sky
00:29:28there are none
00:29:29more mysterious
00:29:29than the Karnak stones
00:29:31in France.
00:29:31Yeah, you have thousands
00:29:33of these monolithic
00:29:34standing stones
00:29:35erected in perfectly
00:29:36straight lines
00:29:37across the countryside
00:29:38and they can only
00:29:40really be appreciated
00:29:41from above.
00:29:43Right, and you actually
00:29:44went there for one
00:29:45of our earliest
00:29:46field segments
00:29:47we ever shot
00:29:48for ancient aliens.
00:29:49few sites on earth
00:29:55are as majestic
00:29:56or as treacherous
00:29:57as the jagged region
00:29:59of Brittany
00:30:00located on the northwest
00:30:01coastline of France.
00:30:04Here can be found
00:30:05the legendary Karnak stones
00:30:07a collection
00:30:09of over 3,000
00:30:11massive rocks
00:30:12arranged in rows
00:30:15and other shapes
00:30:16and spreading
00:30:17across more than
00:30:18two miles
00:30:19of French countryside.
00:30:23You're talking
00:30:24thousands of stones
00:30:26that are aligned
00:30:27in straight rows
00:30:28aligned in circles
00:30:30aligned in squares
00:30:32and rectangles.
00:30:35Why are people doing this?
00:30:37Why are they putting
00:30:37so much time
00:30:38and energy
00:30:39into something?
00:30:40And the short answer
00:30:42I believe
00:30:43is that we really
00:30:44don't know.
00:30:46According to local legend
00:30:48the megaliths
00:30:49were originally
00:30:50invading Roman soldiers
00:30:52turned to stone
00:30:53by Merlin the magician.
00:30:56But if it wasn't magic
00:30:58that created
00:30:59this forest of stones
00:31:00who or what did?
00:31:04Modern archaeologists
00:31:06would say that
00:31:07people who were
00:31:08one step removed
00:31:09from cavemen
00:31:10were quarrying
00:31:12these giant stones
00:31:13some of them weighing
00:31:15100, 200 tons
00:31:16even up to
00:31:17350 tons
00:31:19and then somehow
00:31:20moving them
00:31:22into place.
00:31:24When you first look
00:31:25at the stones
00:31:26here at Karnak
00:31:27they seem to be
00:31:29in haphazard shapes
00:31:31but on closer
00:31:32examination
00:31:33we can see
00:31:34that most of the stones
00:31:36have been cut
00:31:37on one side
00:31:38or another.
00:31:39and in fact
00:31:40these granite megaliths
00:31:42are magnetized
00:31:44with the earth
00:31:44and nearly all of them
00:31:46come to a point.
00:31:49Stone magnets?
00:31:51Is it possible
00:31:52that these stones
00:31:53were really cut
00:31:55and positioned
00:31:55in such a way
00:31:57as to create
00:31:58some sort of
00:31:58geomagnetic field?
00:32:01But why?
00:32:02Karnak as a place
00:32:04is highly charged
00:32:05with energy
00:32:06as you walk down
00:32:08these stone corridors
00:32:09you can feel
00:32:11this charge.
00:32:13Many tourists
00:32:14who come here
00:32:14also like to touch
00:32:16the stones
00:32:16and feel the energy
00:32:17coming off of them.
00:32:20And the people
00:32:21who built Karnak
00:32:22must have been
00:32:23highly knowledgeable
00:32:24of the earth's
00:32:25energy fields.
00:32:26according to a concept
00:32:28known as
00:32:29the world grid theory
00:32:31certain places
00:32:32on our planet
00:32:33contain higher
00:32:34magnetic forces
00:32:35than others.
00:32:37An interesting
00:32:38coincidence
00:32:38for all the
00:32:39megalithic structures
00:32:40we have around
00:32:40the earth
00:32:41is that they're
00:32:41placed at specific
00:32:43points that could
00:32:44be harnessing
00:32:45an ancient
00:32:45world energy grid.
00:32:46There are certain
00:32:48spots around
00:32:49the world
00:32:50which have
00:32:51traditionally been
00:32:52sacred
00:32:53hallowed
00:32:54vortexes
00:32:55energy
00:32:57feels different
00:32:58there.
00:33:00The ancient
00:33:01stone monuments
00:33:02were built
00:33:03to harness
00:33:04that force
00:33:05and that potential
00:33:06to create
00:33:07a funnel-like
00:33:08vortex.
00:33:10When we look
00:33:10at things like
00:33:11the Giza pyramids
00:33:12or Machu Picchu
00:33:14or Baalbek
00:33:15in Lebanon
00:33:16all of these
00:33:16are placed
00:33:17at specific
00:33:18geocoded locations
00:33:19which relate
00:33:20to this world
00:33:21energy grid.
00:33:23Could Karnak
00:33:25be one of
00:33:26these locations?
00:33:28And might
00:33:29the combination
00:33:30of geomagnetic
00:33:31properties
00:33:31and the unique
00:33:33shapes of the
00:33:34stones themselves
00:33:35have allowed
00:33:36ancient builders
00:33:37to actually
00:33:38manipulate gravity?
00:33:41If so
00:33:43where did this
00:33:44knowledge come from?
00:33:46and what ultimate
00:33:47purpose did it serve?
00:33:49It wasn't until
00:33:50we were able
00:33:52to see these stones
00:33:53from above
00:33:54in a helicopter
00:33:55that we realized
00:33:57that Karnak
00:33:58was meant to be seen
00:34:00from the sky
00:34:01above us.
00:34:05And that is
00:34:06one of only
00:34:07three things
00:34:08that you can see
00:34:09from outer space.
00:34:10It's NASCA,
00:34:12Great Wallen China,
00:34:13and Karnak.
00:34:17Were they meant
00:34:18to be seen
00:34:19by people
00:34:19in the sky?
00:34:20And who could have
00:34:21been flying at that time
00:34:22other than
00:34:23extraterrestrials?
00:34:27At one end
00:34:28of the Karnak alignment,
00:34:30aerial researchers
00:34:31identified a stone circle
00:34:33similar to the one
00:34:34found at Stonehenge.
00:34:36At the other end,
00:34:39investigators on the ground
00:34:40discovered a rectangle
00:34:42of stones,
00:34:43one that had been buried
00:34:44for centuries.
00:34:47Both groupings
00:34:48appeared precisely placed
00:34:50to predict both the summer
00:34:51and the winter solstice.
00:34:54And when even more closely
00:34:56examined from above,
00:34:58the solstice points
00:34:59and the alignment
00:35:00of Karnak's many rows
00:35:01of stones
00:35:02reveal yet another
00:35:04geometric phenomenon,
00:35:06the shape
00:35:07of a Pythagorean,
00:35:09or right triangle,
00:35:11covering many
00:35:12square miles.
00:35:15But how could
00:35:16the builders
00:35:17of Karnak
00:35:18have had knowledge
00:35:19of a sophisticated
00:35:20mathematical theorem
00:35:21approximately 2,000 years
00:35:24before its discovery
00:35:25by the Greek mathematician
00:35:27Pythagoras?
00:35:28These conclusions
00:35:31about the Pythagorean theorem
00:35:33doesn't come from me.
00:35:35It actually comes
00:35:36from quite advanced
00:35:38mathematicians
00:35:39who have looked
00:35:39at these alignments
00:35:40and made the calculations.
00:35:43We're talking
00:35:45Stone Age time.
00:35:48And they knew about
00:35:49A squared plus B squared
00:35:50equals C squared?
00:35:52They knew about it,
00:35:54yes.
00:35:55But why?
00:35:56Who told them this?
00:36:01At the time,
00:36:02extraterrestrials
00:36:03told our ancestors,
00:36:05put this stone here,
00:36:07put this stone there,
00:36:08with the idea
00:36:09that a future generation
00:36:11would have to stumble
00:36:13across this mathematical riddle
00:36:16that somebody would say,
00:36:18hold on a second,
00:36:20this was erected
00:36:21during the Stone Age.
00:36:23Yet here we have
00:36:24advanced mathematics.
00:36:25How is this possible?
00:36:29Now these extraterrestrials,
00:36:30they ask themselves,
00:36:32how could we
00:36:33give them a sign?
00:36:35And there was a suggestion
00:36:36made.
00:36:37In French Brittany,
00:36:39kilometers of stone lines
00:36:40in the form of a triangle,
00:36:42gigantic triangle.
00:36:44So we have the sign,
00:36:46we have the information,
00:36:47but nobody looks at it.
00:36:49It's time
00:36:50to change our attitude
00:36:51to these things.
00:36:52I think that these stones
00:36:57are transmitting energy
00:36:59that extraterrestrials
00:37:02or others
00:37:03in airships
00:37:04could pick up this energy
00:37:05like a GPS system
00:37:07or some kind of airport beacon
00:37:09and use it
00:37:12for navigating
00:37:13the entire planet.
00:37:17Gigantic triangles
00:37:18made of stone,
00:37:22geomagnetic phenomenon,
00:37:24the possibility
00:37:26of an extraterrestrial
00:37:27encounter with humans
00:37:29thousands of years ago.
00:37:31But if alien visitors
00:37:33did touch down
00:37:34at Karnak,
00:37:35where else
00:37:37did they land?
00:37:41You know,
00:37:42when it comes to lines
00:37:43and patterns
00:37:44that pretty much
00:37:44can only be seen
00:37:45from the air,
00:37:46the largest ones
00:37:47actually extend
00:37:48for thousands
00:37:49of miles.
00:37:50And we refer to them
00:37:51as ley lines.
00:37:53And on these ley lines
00:37:54are ancient cities
00:37:56that are perfectly aligned.
00:37:57And they cross mountains
00:37:59and lakes
00:38:00and in some places
00:38:01even the ocean.
00:38:02Right.
00:38:03And when you consider
00:38:03they go on
00:38:04for miles and miles,
00:38:05you have to think
00:38:06that maybe our ancestors
00:38:07were directed
00:38:07on where to build
00:38:08these sites.
00:38:09And maybe extraterrestrials
00:38:10were using them
00:38:11for navigation.
00:38:15Herefordshire, England.
00:38:18June 30th, 1921.
00:38:22While horseback riding
00:38:23through the British countryside,
00:38:25amateur archaeologist
00:38:27Alfred Watkins
00:38:28notices that ancient features
00:38:30and structures
00:38:31across the landscape
00:38:32appear to be arranged
00:38:34along straight lines.
00:38:37Four years later,
00:38:39in 1925,
00:38:41Watkins publishes
00:38:43The Old Straight Track,
00:38:44a book in which
00:38:45he proposes
00:38:46that man's earliest monuments
00:38:48and megaliths
00:38:49were linked
00:38:50by a network
00:38:51of long straight tracks.
00:38:53He referred to them
00:38:55as ley lines,
00:38:57but as to what these were,
00:38:59he could only really say
00:39:00that perhaps
00:39:01they were lines
00:39:02that were used
00:39:03by the ancients
00:39:05to communicate
00:39:06from one place
00:39:07to the next.
00:39:08In other words,
00:39:09they were simply markers
00:39:10on a journey.
00:39:12Ley lines are
00:39:13mostly found
00:39:15in England and France.
00:39:17They're literally
00:39:18geographic markings
00:39:20between sacred sites.
00:39:22They might be
00:39:23old churches,
00:39:24they might be churches
00:39:25built on top
00:39:26of megalithic ruins,
00:39:27but you'll see
00:39:28dead straight lines
00:39:29between these sites
00:39:30that have been maintained.
00:39:33The Michael line
00:39:34in England
00:39:35is a straight line
00:39:36and it is measurable.
00:39:38It's a magnetic field line
00:39:40that you can measure
00:39:41and it will be higher
00:39:41than other areas
00:39:43around it geographically.
00:39:45In his book,
00:39:50Watkins further theorized
00:39:52that ancient landmarks
00:39:54along ley lines
00:39:55were deliberately placed
00:39:57by early man
00:39:58for the purpose
00:39:59of line-of-sight navigation.
00:40:02Watkins believed
00:40:03they were trade routes
00:40:04originally,
00:40:05but later it was noticed
00:40:06that some of them
00:40:07went over really obscure terrain
00:40:08like mountains
00:40:09and bogs
00:40:10and streams
00:40:10and all this kind of stuff,
00:40:11so they couldn't really
00:40:12have been walking
00:40:13so it seems more like
00:40:14they were kind of like
00:40:15a survey
00:40:15or a mapping system.
00:40:19Some researchers believe
00:40:20that ley lines
00:40:21are magnetic in nature
00:40:23and delineate the lines
00:40:25of Earth's unseen
00:40:27energy fields.
00:40:29But if ley lines
00:40:30were useful
00:40:31for overland navigation
00:40:33to the ancients,
00:40:35might they also
00:40:35have been useful
00:40:36for aerial navigation
00:40:38by extraterrestrial visitors
00:40:40as ancient astronaut theorists
00:40:42believe.
00:40:43Something extraordinary
00:40:45happened along
00:40:46those ley lines
00:40:47because the once
00:40:49very physical
00:40:51and real visit
00:40:52of extraterrestrial beings
00:40:54has been forgotten.
00:40:59Trelleborg, Denmark.
00:41:01Here,
00:41:02along the northern reaches
00:41:03of the European continent,
00:41:05lie the archaeological ruins
00:41:07of a Viking fortress
00:41:08dating to 900 A.D.
00:41:12For decades,
00:41:14mainstream historians
00:41:15have been baffled
00:41:16by the precise nature
00:41:18of Trelleborg's
00:41:19perfectly circular design
00:41:21with a courtyard
00:41:22divided into four zones,
00:41:25each with four long houses
00:41:27and gateways
00:41:28open precisely
00:41:29to the four cardinal directions,
00:41:32north,
00:41:33south,
00:41:34east,
00:41:35and west.
00:41:35Some believe
00:41:37such a strict
00:41:38geometric design
00:41:39would have required
00:41:40extensive knowledge
00:41:42of advanced engineering.
00:41:48The mystery deepened
00:41:49in 1982
00:41:50when pilot Preben Hansen
00:41:53discovered
00:41:54a direct line of flight
00:41:55from Trelleborg
00:41:56to three other
00:41:57Viking fortresses,
00:41:59all constructed
00:42:00with a similar design.
00:42:05Trelleborg was the starting point.
00:42:09Forty miles farther,
00:42:10another fort appeared.
00:42:13Then he found others
00:42:14so that there was a line
00:42:16of four forts in Denmark.
00:42:17In Denmark.
00:42:18In Denmark.
00:42:23Given that the Vikings
00:42:24were basically seafaring people
00:42:26and these sites
00:42:27are spread out so far
00:42:28over land
00:42:29and great distances,
00:42:30it implies that maybe
00:42:31they had some other way
00:42:32of getting to these places.
00:42:33Perhaps they even
00:42:34were able to fly.
00:42:35Now,
00:42:36how they would fly,
00:42:37what the technology was,
00:42:39it's a good question,
00:42:40but it seems unlikely
00:42:41that they would be able
00:42:42to find all these spots,
00:42:44survey them,
00:42:45and place monuments
00:42:46and structures there
00:42:47if they were simply
00:42:48a seafaring race.
00:42:50These Viking fortresses
00:42:51are all on one stride line.
00:42:55You continue the one line
00:42:56stride ahead
00:42:57over the Alps
00:42:58for thousands and thousands
00:42:59of kilometers
00:43:00and under the line
00:43:02always holy places
00:43:04from antiquity,
00:43:05from stone age.
00:43:07And the line points
00:43:08directly to Delphi,
00:43:10Delphi in Greece.
00:43:13Delphi was the place
00:43:14of the god Apollo
00:43:15and the mythology
00:43:17about Apollo says
00:43:18every year,
00:43:20two times,
00:43:21Apollo took his heavenly chariot,
00:43:24disappeared in a faraway land
00:43:27in the north.
00:43:29Apollo flies
00:43:32on one stride line.
00:43:34At several points,
00:43:35he makes a stop.
00:43:36Wherever he makes a stop,
00:43:38the stone age people
00:43:39start to create
00:43:40a holy place of it
00:43:41because here was a god.
00:43:48Is it possible
00:43:49that the ley lines
00:43:50that connected
00:43:51early civilizations
00:43:52were actually flight paths,
00:43:54as ancient astronaut
00:43:56theorists believe?
00:43:57And might such flight paths
00:44:01have been used
00:44:02by extraterrestrial spacecraft?
00:44:08The extraterrestrials
00:44:09in the past
00:44:10knew exactly
00:44:10that the future generations
00:44:12would develop technology,
00:44:13they would fly,
00:44:14they would measure,
00:44:15they would photograph
00:44:16their own land.
00:44:19So by photographing
00:44:21their land,
00:44:21they would realize
00:44:22something is strange
00:44:23here in the ground.
00:44:24How could a straight line
00:44:26link ancient Egypt,
00:44:28the pyramids,
00:44:31the Oracle of Delphi
00:44:32in Greece,
00:44:33and Viking fortresses
00:44:35that would have been established
00:44:36thousands of years later?
00:44:38It made no sense.
00:44:40But it does make sense
00:44:41if these installations
00:44:44are along straight lines
00:44:46across the Earth's grid,
00:44:47and if somehow
00:44:49those straight lines
00:44:51marked navigation routes
00:44:54for ancient extraterrestrials
00:44:57that used them
00:44:59as markers
00:45:00to navigate the globe
00:45:03from society to society.
00:45:06Is it possible
00:45:07that these ancient sites
00:45:09along the ley lines
00:45:11were nothing else
00:45:12but refueling stations
00:45:14for ancient astronaut craft?
00:45:16And the answer is yes,
00:45:19because just like today,
00:45:21a plane goes
00:45:23in straight lines,
00:45:24and if a plane
00:45:26needs to refuel,
00:45:27it lands
00:45:28on an airport
00:45:29that's on its course,
00:45:31and not, you know,
00:45:32a thousand miles
00:45:32to the east
00:45:33or a thousand miles
00:45:34to the west.
00:45:34A plane flies straight.
00:45:37It was suggested
00:45:39that UFOs
00:45:40may be connected
00:45:41in some way,
00:45:42because it could well be
00:45:43that they are following
00:45:44the paths of geomagnetic fields,
00:45:47the different variations,
00:45:48the different strengths
00:45:49that exist.
00:45:51It was often seen
00:45:53that UFOs
00:45:54seem to either appear
00:45:56or descend or rise
00:45:58in connection
00:45:59with where
00:46:00the ley lines
00:46:01seem to intersect,
00:46:03and this has been seen
00:46:05time and time again
00:46:07around the world
00:46:08at different UFO hotspots.
00:46:10Might the sacred sites
00:46:17along ancient flight paths
00:46:19really have been
00:46:20landing points
00:46:21or perhaps
00:46:22fueling stations
00:46:23for extraterrestrial
00:46:25space vehicles?
00:46:27Perhaps further evidence
00:46:28can be found
00:46:29by examining
00:46:30the ancient civilizations
00:46:32that are connected
00:46:33from opposite sides
00:46:35of the globe.
00:46:36Cusco, Peru.
00:46:45Here lie
00:46:46the impressive ruins
00:46:47of the ancient capital
00:46:49of the Inca Empire
00:46:50that thrived
00:46:53from the 13th
00:46:54to 15th century.
00:46:57Long suspected
00:46:58by ancient astronaut theorists
00:47:00to have been a place
00:47:01visited by extraterrestrial beings
00:47:03in the distant past,
00:47:05Cusco is considered
00:47:07to be an Axis Mundi,
00:47:10which in religion
00:47:11or mythology
00:47:12means the center
00:47:14or navel
00:47:15of the world.
00:47:17They are very important sites,
00:47:20and quite often
00:47:21when you start looking
00:47:21at some sites
00:47:22like Cusco,
00:47:24Cusco literally means
00:47:25navel of the world.
00:47:26It was the navel
00:47:27of the Empire
00:47:28of the Inca.
00:47:30So Cusco isn't unique.
00:47:32We really find
00:47:33naval sites everywhere.
00:47:35And the navel sites
00:47:36are quite often
00:47:36the most important sites
00:47:37of a culture.
00:47:39Jerusalem is one.
00:47:40The Giza Plateau is another.
00:47:42World navels,
00:47:44because they lie
00:47:45along the Earth's magnetic grid,
00:47:48were places
00:47:48where the ancients
00:47:49created what could only
00:47:52be called heaven's gates,
00:47:54altars,
00:47:55places where human beings
00:47:57could communicate
00:47:58with otherworldly entities.
00:47:59evidence can also be found
00:48:04connecting Cusco
00:48:05with another world navel
00:48:07over 2,000 miles away
00:48:09in the South Pacific,
00:48:11Easter Island.
00:48:13Although mainstream historians
00:48:15and archaeologists
00:48:17believe the two places
00:48:18were never in contact
00:48:19in ancient times,
00:48:22Cusco and Easter Island
00:48:24feature strikingly similar
00:48:25styles of stonework
00:48:27with colossal,
00:48:29multi-sided stones
00:48:30precisely fitted
00:48:31as if each joint
00:48:32was welded together.
00:48:34The walls at Cusco
00:48:38are identical
00:48:39to the walls
00:48:41we can find
00:48:42in the base foundations
00:48:43of some of the Moais
00:48:45on Easter Island.
00:48:46And those two places
00:48:48are so far apart.
00:48:50I wonder,
00:48:51how was it done?
00:48:53Either the builders
00:48:55traveled from one place
00:48:57to the other,
00:48:58or the builders
00:49:00in each culture
00:49:02were visited
00:49:03by the same teachers,
00:49:06the teachers
00:49:07from the stars,
00:49:10extraterrestrials.
00:49:15These navels of the world
00:49:16might have been
00:49:17geodesic points
00:49:18which you could use
00:49:19to navigate from the air.
00:49:22There are interesting
00:49:22accounts about this,
00:49:24for example,
00:49:25from Apollonius,
00:49:26who lived in Rome
00:49:27in 4 AD,
00:49:29that he descended
00:49:29with thunderbirds,
00:49:31that he had visited
00:49:31the city of the gods.
00:49:33There he was given
00:49:34talisman,
00:49:35which he was supposed
00:49:36to bury.
00:49:38There is a similar legend
00:49:39from Cusco.
00:49:41There,
00:49:41the children of the sun god
00:49:43are supposed
00:49:44to have plunged
00:49:45a rod into the earth.
00:49:47And there are similar legends
00:49:49on Easter Island.
00:49:53But if Cusco
00:49:54and Easter Island
00:49:56were linked
00:49:56in ancient times
00:49:58by space travelers,
00:49:59what might this say
00:50:01about other
00:50:01centers of the world?
00:50:06Strangely,
00:50:07some ancient civilizations
00:50:08are located
00:50:10on the exact opposite
00:50:11sides of the planet.
00:50:14A line drawn
00:50:15from Easter Island
00:50:16through the center
00:50:17of the earth
00:50:17points to
00:50:18Mohenjo-daro, Pakistan,
00:50:21a once great empire
00:50:22believed by
00:50:23ancient astronaut theorists
00:50:25to have been destroyed
00:50:26by a nuclear blast
00:50:27thousands of years ago.
00:50:32And from Nazca, Peru,
00:50:35a line through the earth
00:50:36points to Angkor Wat, Cambodia,
00:50:38a site
00:50:39of great religious significance,
00:50:42known in ancient myths
00:50:43to have been built
00:50:44as a landing zone
00:50:45for sky beings.
00:50:47And astonishingly,
00:50:49these four sites
00:50:50lie on one circle
00:50:52around the globe,
00:50:53a circle
00:50:54that also includes
00:50:56the location
00:50:56of the great pyramids
00:50:58of Egypt.
00:50:59This is really
00:51:00the underlying mystery,
00:51:02I think,
00:51:02which is not necessarily
00:51:03why were these monuments
00:51:05built,
00:51:06for what purpose,
00:51:07but also
00:51:08why were they built
00:51:09on those specific places?
00:51:11Because really,
00:51:12what we are beginning
00:51:13to understand
00:51:14is that all of these monuments
00:51:15from the past
00:51:16were not just built
00:51:17haphazardly
00:51:18on the surface of the earth,
00:51:20but were built
00:51:20in very specific locations.
00:51:23It appears that ancient people
00:51:25either mapped the earth
00:51:26in some esoteric way
00:51:27that we can't comprehend yet,
00:51:29or it was sacred knowledge
00:51:31handed down
00:51:32over thousands of years.
00:51:34Might such connections
00:51:36between ancient sites
00:51:37around the world
00:51:38suggest
00:51:39that there was
00:51:40some sort of strategic link
00:51:42between these civilizations,
00:51:44as ancient astronaut theorists
00:51:45must believe.
00:51:47And if so,
00:51:48what could this mean?
00:51:52Before the advent
00:51:53of satellite-guided
00:51:54global positioning systems,
00:51:57the science of geodesy
00:51:58was used to determine
00:52:00the exact position
00:52:01of geographic points
00:52:03on the globe.
00:52:05One of the oldest
00:52:06of earth sciences,
00:52:08the use of geodesy
00:52:09dates back thousands
00:52:10of years.
00:52:12There's clear records
00:52:13that geodesy was used
00:52:15by the Sumerians
00:52:16in ancient times.
00:52:17Several of the landing spots
00:52:18used by the gods
00:52:20were actually triangulation points
00:52:24to the landing corridor.
00:52:26Things like Balbek in Lebanon
00:52:27or Jerusalem
00:52:28were actually extensive
00:52:30megalithic monuments
00:52:32or platforms
00:52:33that were used
00:52:34to launch spacecraft.
00:52:35An ancient man recorded
00:52:38stories around these locations
00:52:40of seeing great smoke,
00:52:41fire,
00:52:42and loud noise
00:52:43as these ships ascended
00:52:44or descended
00:52:45from these locations.
00:52:48It's probably highly reasonable
00:52:50that the ancients
00:52:50had systems of navigation.
00:52:52I mean,
00:52:52we know the Romans
00:52:53did effectively that.
00:52:55And that was why
00:52:55they were so efficient
00:52:56at getting around
00:52:57their empire
00:52:58in addition to their roads
00:52:59and keeping track of things.
00:53:00In the early era
00:53:04of our own flight,
00:53:06pilots used markers
00:53:08which would be
00:53:09church steeples
00:53:10or mountains
00:53:11and obvious physical monuments
00:53:14that they could see.
00:53:16Just like that,
00:53:18the ancient aliens,
00:53:19they were able
00:53:20to also use
00:53:21this world grid
00:53:22and the pyramids
00:53:25and obelisks
00:53:26and other monuments
00:53:27that were built
00:53:28at these special power places
00:53:30to navigate.
00:53:34It's almost like
00:53:36the ancients
00:53:36were building these sites
00:53:38and they were mapping
00:53:38the planet
00:53:39in vast antiquity,
00:53:40possibly up to 10,000
00:53:41or more years ago.
00:53:44Because of the interaction
00:53:46between ancient civilization
00:53:48and ancient aliens,
00:53:49these ancient societies,
00:53:52recognizing the importance
00:53:53of these spots
00:53:54and the presence
00:53:55of ancient aliens,
00:53:57placed these monuments
00:53:58as a map
00:53:59for the star people,
00:54:02for the ancient aliens
00:54:03to follow
00:54:04and to direct them
00:54:05to the civilizations
00:54:07they might well
00:54:08have started
00:54:08by themselves
00:54:09as colonies.
00:54:12Is it really possible
00:54:13that many of the world's
00:54:15most famous ancient sites
00:54:16were part
00:54:17of an interconnected network
00:54:19whose placement
00:54:20on the globe
00:54:21was planned
00:54:22tens of thousands
00:54:23of years ago
00:54:24by visitors
00:54:25from other galaxies,
00:54:26as ancient astronaut
00:54:28theorists contend?
00:54:31Perhaps further evidence
00:54:32can be found
00:54:33by analyzing
00:54:34striking similarities
00:54:36in geometric patterns
00:54:37that can only be seen
00:54:39from above.
00:54:41When we're thinking
00:54:45about alien beacons,
00:54:47it's interesting
00:54:47to note
00:54:48that the form
00:54:49that some of these take
00:54:50is in abstract
00:54:51geometric symbols.
00:54:53Right,
00:54:54and that makes you think
00:54:54that they might
00:54:55contain messages,
00:54:57either for other visitors
00:54:58or for us
00:54:59to decipher.
00:55:00Right,
00:55:01like the sun star
00:55:02and cross clip
00:55:02at Nazca,
00:55:03which looks like
00:55:04a mandala.
00:55:05But what's a Hindu
00:55:06mandala doing
00:55:06in Peru?
00:55:08We investigated this
00:55:09on ancient aliens
00:55:09in 2014.
00:55:12London,
00:55:13England,
00:55:151971.
00:55:18After years
00:55:19of studying
00:55:19ancient philosophical
00:55:20teachings
00:55:21relating to the
00:55:22Egyptian mystery schools,
00:55:24author John Michel
00:55:25unearthed evidence
00:55:27of an ancient code,
00:55:29a numerical
00:55:30and geometric code
00:55:32seemingly embedded
00:55:33not only
00:55:34in the sacred structures
00:55:35of ancient Egypt,
00:55:37but also
00:55:38in the Hebrew world.
00:55:39and in the plans
00:55:41for the heavenly city
00:55:42of New Jerusalem.
00:55:45John Michel
00:55:45was a scholar,
00:55:46he was a mystic,
00:55:47he was a genius
00:55:48and a very,
00:55:49very prolific author.
00:55:50He had an incredible
00:55:51understanding
00:55:52of earth geometry
00:55:54and geography.
00:55:57But what
00:55:57John Michel
00:55:58is most famous for
00:55:59is the New Jerusalem
00:56:01diagram.
00:56:02by carefully examining
00:56:05the physical description
00:56:06of New Jerusalem
00:56:07in Revelation 21,
00:56:10Michel
00:56:10uncovered a sacred
00:56:12design.
00:56:13At the core
00:56:14of Michel's diagram
00:56:15is the squaring
00:56:16of the circle
00:56:17and the division
00:56:18of the circle
00:56:18into equal sectors,
00:56:20a zodiac wheel
00:56:21and the positioning
00:56:23of 12 gates
00:56:24to the heavenly city,
00:56:26three on each side
00:56:27of the square,
00:56:28representing
00:56:29the 12 tribes
00:56:30of Israel.
00:56:31This is also
00:56:32a geometric figure
00:56:34and John Michel
00:56:36claimed that
00:56:37this would be
00:56:38how the New Jerusalem
00:56:40was to be built
00:56:41in the future
00:56:42and that all this
00:56:44was encoded
00:56:45in revelations
00:56:47in a mathematical,
00:56:49geometric way.
00:56:51In his book
00:56:52The Dimensions of Paradise,
00:56:55Michel proposed
00:56:56that this sacred geometry
00:56:57represented
00:56:58the order of the universe.
00:57:01Ancient astronaut
00:57:02theorists suggest
00:57:03that this exact same
00:57:05geometrical concept
00:57:06can be found
00:57:08halfway around the world
00:57:09in Nazca, Peru.
00:57:12Here in the desert,
00:57:17among the many plant
00:57:19and animal glyphs
00:57:20is a geometric design
00:57:22that looks much different
00:57:23from the rest
00:57:24of the Nazca lines.
00:57:25It is called
00:57:26the Sun Star and Cross.
00:57:30The Nazca Sun Star glyph
00:57:32is one of the most
00:57:34interesting glyphs
00:57:35to be seen at Nazca.
00:57:37And in fact,
00:57:37because it's in a remote area
00:57:40of the Pulpa Valley,
00:57:41it's not actually seen
00:57:42by many tourists.
00:57:44But it is by far
00:57:45the strangest
00:57:46and most mathematically
00:57:48precise
00:57:49of all of the diagrams
00:57:52at Nazca.
00:57:54The Sun Star and Cross glyph
00:57:56is a precisely formed
00:57:57star polygon
00:57:58made of two squares
00:58:00surrounding a perfect circle,
00:58:02all sharing the same center
00:58:04and diameter.
00:58:05Inside the grid
00:58:06are wheels within wheels
00:58:08and squares within squares.
00:58:11The design mirrors
00:58:13not only New Jerusalem's
00:58:14sacred geometry,
00:58:15but also offers up
00:58:17yet another connection.
00:58:20When you look at it,
00:58:22it's very obviously
00:58:23what is called a mandala
00:58:26mandala or a yantra
00:58:29in ancient India
00:58:30or Tibet.
00:58:32What a mandala
00:58:34yantra glyph
00:58:35is doing
00:58:36in remote desert
00:58:38of Peru
00:58:39is very interesting.
00:58:41It's a very sacred symbol.
00:58:46It's this idea
00:58:47of being connected
00:58:49with the realm
00:58:51of the gods.
00:58:52And then we have to
00:58:53once again ask ourselves,
00:58:55well, what was
00:58:56the realm of the gods?
00:58:57It's very interesting
00:59:00to note
00:59:01that seen
00:59:02from the sky,
00:59:03it is very similar,
00:59:05not identical,
00:59:06but very similar
00:59:07to, for example,
00:59:09the layout
00:59:10of the temples
00:59:11at Borobudur.
00:59:14The Buddhist temple
00:59:15of Borobudur
00:59:16lies over 11,000 miles
00:59:18west of Nazca
00:59:19in Indonesia
00:59:20and is laid out
00:59:22with a series
00:59:23of precise circles
00:59:24within a platform
00:59:25of perfect squares.
00:59:27One has to wonder
00:59:31if somehow
00:59:33all these sites
00:59:34are connected
00:59:35because that is
00:59:36what the ancient
00:59:36astronaut theory
00:59:37excels in,
00:59:38that people
00:59:40in our ancient past
00:59:42were not isolated.
00:59:44They had contact
00:59:45with each other.
00:59:47In the end,
00:59:48there is
00:59:49an extraterrestrial connection.
00:59:53Is this something
00:59:54that was taught
00:59:55by the ancient
00:59:57religions
00:59:57from one culture
00:59:59to the rest
00:59:59and they incorporated
01:00:01these divine cities,
01:00:02these new Jerusalems,
01:00:04or is this something
01:00:05that may have been
01:00:06given to us
01:00:07by some divine intelligence?
01:00:10Is it possible
01:00:12that the new
01:00:12Jerusalem design,
01:00:14the Sun Star
01:00:15and Cross
01:00:16and Cross
01:00:16of Nazca,
01:00:17the Temple
01:00:18of Borobudur,
01:00:19and other geometric
01:00:21structures
01:00:21around the world
01:00:23are encoded
01:00:24with similar
01:00:25mathematic
01:00:25and geometric
01:00:26principles?
01:00:28And if so,
01:00:29are they part
01:00:30of an alien message?
01:00:33Ancient astronaut theorists
01:00:35say yes
01:00:35and suggest
01:00:37there's evidence
01:00:39that the communication
01:00:40continues.
01:00:4190 miles west
01:00:49of London
01:00:50in the county
01:00:51of Wiltshire,
01:00:52the English countryside
01:00:53remains pretty much
01:00:54as it has
01:00:55for thousands
01:00:56of years.
01:00:57Small farms,
01:00:59stone walls,
01:01:00and rolling green hills
01:01:01provide inhabitants
01:01:02with an environment
01:01:04of peace
01:01:04and stability.
01:01:05This historic region
01:01:10is also home
01:01:11to a large number
01:01:12of ancient sacred sites,
01:01:14many built
01:01:15thousands of years ago.
01:01:17It's an ancient
01:01:18sacred landscape
01:01:18where most of them occur.
01:01:21There are monuments
01:01:21that you know about,
01:01:22Stonehenge,
01:01:24Avebury,
01:01:25Silvery Hill.
01:01:26This is one small area
01:01:28that seems to be
01:01:28a manipulated landscape
01:01:30that was done
01:01:30thousands of years ago
01:01:32where sacred rituals
01:01:33have taken place.
01:01:35But in 1978,
01:01:42Wiltshire's tranquil landscape
01:01:43became the focus
01:01:44of a controversy
01:01:45that persists
01:01:46to this day.
01:01:51Today,
01:01:52alongside the tracks
01:01:53of farm machinery,
01:01:55a new set of circles
01:01:56were found.
01:01:57No human tracks
01:01:58lead to the markings.
01:01:59There,
01:02:05carved in fields
01:02:06of wheat,
01:02:07barley,
01:02:08and rye,
01:02:09were elaborate
01:02:10geometric patterns.
01:02:12Even more curious
01:02:13was the fact
01:02:15that much like
01:02:16the famed
01:02:16Nazca lines of Peru,
01:02:18the designs
01:02:19were only visible
01:02:20from the air.
01:02:22When you see it
01:02:23for the first time,
01:02:23you go,
01:02:24what in the world
01:02:24is that doing there?
01:02:26I mean,
01:02:26it's obviously
01:02:27not natural.
01:02:30There have been cases
01:02:31that have been traced
01:02:32back for hundreds
01:02:33of years,
01:02:34the so-called
01:02:34mowing devil,
01:02:35where apparently
01:02:36some sort of devil
01:02:38supposedly mowed a field
01:02:39in a single night,
01:02:41but they became
01:02:42recognized as a phenomenon
01:02:43only when these circles
01:02:45started appearing
01:02:45in the English wheat fields.
01:02:47They were very simple
01:02:49things at first,
01:02:51but they kept occurring
01:02:53year after year,
01:02:54and each year
01:02:54they seemed to get
01:02:55a little more elaborate.
01:02:56One of the early theories
01:02:57was that there was
01:02:58some kind of whirlwind
01:03:00that was making them,
01:03:01but as they became
01:03:02more elaborate,
01:03:03they also became
01:03:04associated with
01:03:05paranormal activity,
01:03:07particularly UFOs.
01:03:08Some people said
01:03:09they saw light
01:03:09in the field
01:03:10at night,
01:03:11and some people
01:03:12began to read that
01:03:13as a UFO presence.
01:03:15This circle
01:03:17in a Wiltshire field
01:03:18is just one of 200
01:03:19such markings
01:03:20to have been discovered
01:03:21in the last six weeks.
01:03:23To farmers and scientists,
01:03:25how they're formed
01:03:26or by whom
01:03:27remains a big mystery.
01:03:29Not surprisingly,
01:03:31the region became
01:03:32the focus of intense
01:03:33interest from UFO enthusiasts
01:03:35and skeptics,
01:03:36each offering explanations
01:03:38as to who or what
01:03:40was responsible
01:03:41for this strange phenomenon.
01:03:42But if, in fact,
01:03:46alien beings
01:03:47from another planet
01:03:48were responsible
01:03:49for the crop circles,
01:03:51why were they making them
01:03:52in England?
01:03:54Were they trying
01:03:55to contact us?
01:03:56Or were there clues
01:03:57embedded in the designs?
01:04:00And was the proximity
01:04:01to Stonehenge
01:04:02and other ancient sites
01:04:04of any particular significance?
01:04:06So you have the idea
01:04:07of these earth energies
01:04:09and these ancient structures,
01:04:10and then the crop circles
01:04:11are appearing around them.
01:04:15And many of the crop circles
01:04:16appear to be
01:04:17some kind of signals
01:04:19and ancient writing.
01:04:21The crop circles
01:04:22are calling us back
01:04:23to a time
01:04:24before science and spirit
01:04:26got separated,
01:04:27when we were whole,
01:04:28we had a sense of wholeness.
01:04:29And here,
01:04:30they're landing
01:04:30near sacred sites
01:04:31that are from an ancient time
01:04:33when we did experience
01:04:34those things.
01:04:35When I saw
01:04:37the first photographs,
01:04:38I was haunted, actually.
01:04:41Are these extraterrestrials
01:04:43doing this?
01:04:44Are we dealing
01:04:45with somebody
01:04:46who knows
01:04:47how to bend space and time?
01:04:49Our entire relationship
01:04:51with the universe
01:04:52and quantum physics
01:04:54and all of its complexities
01:04:55has been pushed hard
01:04:58by crop formations alone.
01:05:00Certainly, it is one theory
01:05:06that extraterrestrials
01:05:08are trying to communicate
01:05:09in a big way
01:05:11through popular media.
01:05:13Crop circles do get
01:05:14in the newspapers
01:05:15all over the world.
01:05:16Perhaps that's what they want.
01:05:18These are being
01:05:19carefully designed.
01:05:20They're not accidental,
01:05:22both in terms of the shape
01:05:23and where they land.
01:05:24These aren't accidents.
01:05:26There's a mind behind this
01:05:28that's making these decisions.
01:05:29where's that mind?
01:05:32What kind of body is it in?
01:05:39Scientists struggled
01:05:40to find an explanation
01:05:41for the phenomenon
01:05:42until in 1991,
01:05:45two self-proclaimed
01:05:46British pranksters,
01:05:48Doug Bauer
01:05:48and Dave Chorley,
01:05:50came forward
01:05:50and proclaimed
01:05:51that they were
01:05:52the ones responsible.
01:05:55They showed
01:05:56how they could make
01:05:57crop circles
01:05:58in a single night
01:05:59using some very simple tools
01:06:01and at the time,
01:06:02people said,
01:06:03well, that must be
01:06:04the explanation for it.
01:06:05Nevertheless,
01:06:07some researchers
01:06:08remain skeptical
01:06:09that a single pair
01:06:10of elderly men
01:06:11could have created
01:06:13literally hundreds
01:06:14of designs
01:06:14in the dead of night
01:06:16with little more
01:06:17than a few boards
01:06:18and some rope.
01:06:19You know what was
01:06:20very effective?
01:06:21You still will run
01:06:22into people,
01:06:23crop circles,
01:06:24oh, forget about them.
01:06:25Those two old guys
01:06:26made a,
01:06:27come on,
01:06:27don't be so naive.
01:06:28They were done
01:06:29by those two old guys
01:06:30years ago.
01:06:30Why are you paying
01:06:31attention to them anymore?
01:06:32Very effective piece
01:06:34of disinformation.
01:06:37During the years
01:06:38that followed Bauer
01:06:39and Chorley's confession,
01:06:41crop circles
01:06:41continued to appear
01:06:42in the English countryside
01:06:44and at various locations
01:06:46around the world.
01:06:48Some were inarguably
01:06:49the work of artists
01:06:51or jokesters.
01:06:52But after studying
01:06:53soil samples
01:06:54and grain dispersion patterns
01:06:56in the disturbed farmland,
01:06:58researchers concluded
01:06:59that it would be impossible
01:07:01for all of these designs
01:07:02to be man-made.
01:07:04Well, in what we would consider
01:07:06to be a mysterious crop circle
01:07:07where we can't identify
01:07:08it being made by people,
01:07:09the lay is absolutely beautiful,
01:07:11the lay of the crop.
01:07:12It's like a million carpet layers
01:07:13came down
01:07:13and put these stalks
01:07:15of grain down
01:07:16right parallel to one another.
01:07:18It's just a gorgeous thing
01:07:19to behold.
01:07:21When the hoaxers make them,
01:07:22they tend to be sloppy
01:07:23and messy
01:07:23because they haven't got
01:07:25that same force.
01:07:26They're doing
01:07:26handmade manipulation,
01:07:28which doesn't lay them down
01:07:29quite as beautifully.
01:07:33In 1991,
01:07:36noted biophysicist
01:07:37Dr. William Levengood
01:07:38put forth a startling
01:07:40new theory.
01:07:42After spending
01:07:4210 years studying
01:07:44crop circle sites
01:07:45and samples,
01:07:45he concluded
01:07:47that they were created
01:07:48by a complex energy system,
01:07:50which he called
01:07:51a spinning plasma vortex
01:07:53that comes down
01:07:55from somewhere high up
01:07:56in the atmosphere.
01:07:57biophysicist Levengood has now analyzed
01:08:04350-some samples
01:08:07from crop formations
01:08:08in his career.
01:08:10Now,
01:08:10if Levengood were sitting here
01:08:12with me,
01:08:12he would say,
01:08:13all I can do
01:08:14is I can take you from the ground,
01:08:16I can take you from the crops
01:08:18up,
01:08:20but I can't tell you
01:08:22what sets in motion
01:08:24that spinning plasma vortex
01:08:26in the first place.
01:08:27It's still
01:08:29a huge mystery.
01:08:32The anomalous things
01:08:33that happen inside crop circles
01:08:34are in fact
01:08:35one of the indications
01:08:36that you're in a so-called
01:08:37genuine circle
01:08:38because indeed,
01:08:39the weirdest things happen.
01:08:41Batteries fail,
01:08:42brand new batteries,
01:08:43people go in with cameras,
01:08:45cell phones don't work.
01:08:46There have been people
01:08:47who have started reading
01:08:48all kinds of messages
01:08:49into these crop circles,
01:08:51that they have some kind
01:08:52of digital significance,
01:08:54that you can read
01:08:55a kind of numerology
01:08:57and there'll be
01:08:57a kind of message.
01:08:59People are really
01:08:59reading something into it.
01:09:04In terms of who
01:09:05or what is delivering them,
01:09:06we have no way to know that.
01:09:08We only have science fiction
01:09:09that tells us
01:09:10what's coming to visit us.
01:09:11So we have to just speculate
01:09:13about where this might
01:09:14be coming from.
01:09:15We have to wait for
01:09:16whatever the source is
01:09:17to introduce itself to us.
01:09:19Are we dealing
01:09:20with time travelers?
01:09:22Are we dealing
01:09:23with spiritual forces
01:09:24from some dimension
01:09:26we don't understand?
01:09:27Are we dealing
01:09:28with advanced intelligences
01:09:30that are not even
01:09:31in this galaxy,
01:09:32that are from someplace else?
01:09:34And is this a form
01:09:36of communication?
01:09:37The conversations
01:09:38keep getting more
01:09:39and more complicated.
01:09:41Crop Circus is our contact.
01:09:42We're being contacted
01:09:43just because we don't have
01:09:44the bodies to shake hands with.
01:09:46We have the evidence
01:09:47that the bodies have left us.
01:09:49I'm absolutely convinced
01:09:50that crop circles
01:09:51are evidence
01:09:51of intelligent life.
01:09:53There is intelligence
01:09:54bombarding us,
01:09:55winking at us.
01:09:56You know, we've been talking
01:10:02about extraterrestrials
01:10:03placing beacons on Earth,
01:10:04but we too have been
01:10:05sending signals out
01:10:06into space hoping
01:10:07they'll be received
01:10:08by some alien intelligence.
01:10:10Yeah, I mean,
01:10:10we've sent out music
01:10:12and images
01:10:13and even messages
01:10:14and binary code
01:10:15and even the entire
01:10:17Wikipedia library.
01:10:18Right, and what's
01:10:19even more incredible
01:10:20is that some people claim
01:10:22that some of the signals
01:10:24that we've sent out
01:10:25have already received
01:10:27an actual response.
01:10:31Arecibo Observatory,
01:10:33Puerto Rico,
01:10:35November 16th, 1974.
01:10:40Early pioneers of SETI,
01:10:42the search for
01:10:43extraterrestrial intelligence,
01:10:45aimed the world's
01:10:46largest radio telescope
01:10:47at a cluster of stars
01:10:4925,000 light-years away
01:10:52to send the transmission
01:10:54out into the cosmos.
01:10:56The coded signal
01:10:58consists of binary digits,
01:11:01zeros and ones,
01:11:02that form a message
01:11:04designed to notify
01:11:06other potentially advanced
01:11:07beings of our existence.
01:11:10This message into space,
01:11:12it was encoded
01:11:13in what's called binary code
01:11:14because it's the simplest around.
01:11:16Listen, we're trying to send
01:11:17a message to the aliens
01:11:18and because you don't know
01:11:21anything about them,
01:11:22you have to make this
01:11:23as obvious as possible.
01:11:27Now, here's the message
01:11:28over here
01:11:28that was actually sent
01:11:29in 1974
01:11:30and it starts off
01:11:32with teaching the ABCs
01:11:33to the aliens.
01:11:34Well, not ABCs,
01:11:35the 1, 2, 3s
01:11:36because right up here
01:11:37are the numbers
01:11:38from 1 to 10
01:11:39but in binary
01:11:40and anybody who has
01:11:42thought about binary
01:11:42should be able to figure
01:11:43that out,
01:11:44including the aliens.
01:11:44Right underneath that
01:11:47is this funny thing here
01:11:48has the numbers
01:11:491, 6, 7
01:11:52and so forth.
01:11:52Those are the
01:11:53atomic numbers
01:11:55of the elements
01:11:56that make up our bodies,
01:11:57hydrogen, carbon,
01:11:59nitrogen, oxygen
01:12:00and phosphorus.
01:12:02The coded message
01:12:04also contained
01:12:05information about our DNA,
01:12:07the figure of a human,
01:12:09a graphic of the solar system
01:12:12and a graphic
01:12:14of a radio telescope.
01:12:18For decades,
01:12:20SETI scientists wondered
01:12:22if their cosmic message
01:12:23would ever be received
01:12:25or answered.
01:12:27Then, nearly 27 years later,
01:12:30there appeared to be
01:12:31a response.
01:12:33Hampshire, England,
01:12:38August 2001.
01:12:43Next to the
01:12:44Chilbolton Radio Observatory,
01:12:47two crop formations
01:12:48appeared in a field.
01:12:50Both were unlike
01:12:52any other ever found.
01:12:55They were both pixelated,
01:12:57meaning that
01:12:58when you're on the ground
01:12:59you couldn't perceive
01:13:00what the crop circle was
01:13:01but once from the air
01:13:02you could readily identify
01:13:04the pattern.
01:13:06One of the crop formations
01:13:07that appeared at Chilbolton
01:13:09in 2001
01:13:10was a face
01:13:11but the other one
01:13:12was far, far more interesting
01:13:14because it greatly resembled
01:13:18the message
01:13:19that had been sent
01:13:22in 1974.
01:13:28There were very, very
01:13:29subtle differences
01:13:31differences between the two.
01:13:33They looked identical
01:13:34but when you actually
01:13:35looked at them
01:13:36the differences
01:13:37gave a key
01:13:38that seemed to be
01:13:40almost like an answer.
01:13:44One of them
01:13:45was the fact
01:13:46that the human being
01:13:47that we sent out
01:13:48when it came back
01:13:48it had what appeared
01:13:49to look like
01:13:50some kind of grey alien
01:13:51with a large head
01:13:52and a small body.
01:13:54It also had a different
01:13:55system of planets
01:13:57which is suggesting
01:13:58it's a different solar system
01:13:59and also had a different
01:14:01DNA sequence as well.
01:14:03And so just these three things
01:14:05really caught my attention
01:14:06because either it was
01:14:08a brilliant hoax
01:14:09or it was actually
01:14:10a message that came back
01:14:11and was a response
01:14:12to that original
01:14:13SETI message
01:14:14way back in the 1970s.
01:14:15And all of these
01:14:21suggested to the crop circle
01:14:23community
01:14:24and the media
01:14:25that we really had received
01:14:27a reply
01:14:28to the Arecibo message
01:14:31of 1974.
01:14:33Can we see it as a reply?
01:14:36Yes, indeed it was
01:14:38but actually who created it
01:14:39and their exact purpose
01:14:41will remain a mystery.
01:14:42Could the crop circles
01:14:45in Chilbolton
01:14:46have been an actual
01:14:47alien response
01:14:48to the signal
01:14:49that SETI sent out
01:14:50into the cosmos
01:14:51in 1974?
01:14:54And are crop formations
01:14:56the latest iteration
01:14:57in an ancient system
01:14:59of otherworldly signposts
01:15:01including global pictographs,
01:15:04geometric patterns
01:15:05and architectural markers?
01:15:09Ancient astronaut theorists
01:15:10say yes
01:15:11and suggest
01:15:13that modern technology
01:15:14is revealing this system
01:15:16to be far more ancient
01:15:18and widespread
01:15:19than ever imagined.
01:15:24You know,
01:15:25when the Nazca lines
01:15:26were discovered
01:15:26in the 1920s,
01:15:28people thought
01:15:29that these lines,
01:15:30these markings
01:15:31in the ground
01:15:32were a complete
01:15:33and total anomaly.
01:15:35But today we know
01:15:36that there are thousands
01:15:37of other geoglyphs
01:15:39all around the globe.
01:15:40Yeah, that's right.
01:15:41And what's so exciting
01:15:42is that with continuing
01:15:43advances in technology,
01:15:45we're discovering
01:15:46more and more of them
01:15:47all the time.
01:15:47Yeah, and in 2024,
01:15:50artificial intelligence
01:15:51helped us uncover
01:15:52300 new Nazca glyphs.
01:15:54So it would seem
01:15:55that, you know,
01:15:56technology is what we need
01:15:58to uncover
01:15:58what was happening
01:15:59in the ancient world.
01:16:00Nazca, Peru.
01:16:06First discovered
01:16:07in 1927,
01:16:10the Nazca lines
01:16:10consist of hundreds
01:16:12of designs
01:16:13known as geoglyphs
01:16:14that can only be seen
01:16:16from above.
01:16:18Scattered over 200 square miles
01:16:21in southern Peru,
01:16:22mainstream archaeologists
01:16:24believe the figures
01:16:25were created
01:16:26by the ancient Nazca people
01:16:28sometime between
01:16:29the 1st and 8th centuries AD.
01:16:33Ancient astronaut theorists
01:16:35have been studying
01:16:36the Nazca lines
01:16:37for years.
01:16:39They maintain
01:16:40that the massive
01:16:41and complex designs
01:16:42must have been created
01:16:44as signals
01:16:45to celestial beings
01:16:46that came down
01:16:47from the heavens.
01:16:49And they say
01:16:50new evidence proves
01:16:52that aliens
01:16:53not only visited Nazca,
01:16:55but continue to return there
01:16:57over the centuries.
01:16:59On July 7th, 2015,
01:17:04a team of anthropologists
01:17:06from Yamagata University
01:17:07in Japan revealed
01:17:09they had found
01:17:11new Nazca lines
01:17:12that due to erosion
01:17:13are impossible to make out
01:17:15with the naked eye.
01:17:18By conducting
01:17:19a three-dimensional scan
01:17:20of the ground,
01:17:21they uncovered
01:17:22a total of 24 images,
01:17:25including strange-looking
01:17:27humanoid figures,
01:17:28a disembodied head
01:17:30and a llama
01:17:3165 feet long.
01:17:36According to their findings,
01:17:38the new geoglyphs
01:17:39date from 400 to 200 B.C.,
01:17:42making them
01:17:43hundreds of years older
01:17:45than those previously discovered.
01:17:46These new finds
01:17:49are instrumental
01:17:50in showing
01:17:51the duration
01:17:52of which these types
01:17:54of modifications
01:17:55were going on
01:17:56on the desert floor
01:17:57for hundreds and hundreds
01:17:58of years,
01:17:59involving different cultures
01:18:01with different motivations
01:18:03and different depictions.
01:18:04It would seem to be
01:18:06all of the cultures
01:18:08were trying to signal
01:18:09some kind of sky people
01:18:11and probably,
01:18:14over time,
01:18:15were trying to induce them
01:18:17to come back
01:18:17down from the sky
01:18:19and land their ships.
01:18:21You have to wonder then
01:18:22if with at least
01:18:24four successive cultures
01:18:25doing this,
01:18:26that you would think
01:18:27they must have had
01:18:28some success.
01:18:29Some ancient astronaut theorists
01:18:34have even suggested
01:18:35that the discovery
01:18:36of older Nazca lines
01:18:38may indicate
01:18:39that the people
01:18:40responsible
01:18:41for the later geoglyphs
01:18:42were imitating
01:18:43what was originally made
01:18:45by the extraterrestrials
01:18:47themselves.
01:18:48So the question
01:18:49starts to rise is,
01:18:51were various different people
01:18:52coming to Nazca
01:18:54to make these petroglyphs
01:18:55and these large diagrams,
01:18:57or were they possibly
01:18:59recreating
01:19:00some initial experiment
01:19:01or some initial thing
01:19:03that took place?
01:19:05What if some of the
01:19:06early cultures in Nazca
01:19:07actually experienced
01:19:09interaction with beings
01:19:10that were creating
01:19:11edifices that can only
01:19:13be seen from the sky?
01:19:14And the only way
01:19:15to get to lure them back
01:19:17was to create these ways
01:19:18to communicate
01:19:19from an aerial perspective.
01:19:23For decades,
01:19:24it was thought
01:19:25that there was no other place
01:19:26on Earth like Nazca.
01:19:29But recently,
01:19:30a shocking discovery
01:19:32was made
01:19:32on the opposite side
01:19:34of the globe.
01:19:36Turgai, Kazakhstan.
01:19:38October 2015.
01:19:42Using satellite photography,
01:19:45NASA captures images
01:19:46of more than 260 geoglyphs
01:19:49covering the ground here.
01:19:50They're located in a very rural part
01:19:55of Kazakhstan,
01:19:56and they could only be found
01:19:58thanks to modern technology.
01:20:01They're much more complex
01:20:02than the Nazca geoglyphs
01:20:03in that they are three-dimensional.
01:20:06They are mounds and trenches,
01:20:09whereas the Nazca lines
01:20:10are etchings in the sand.
01:20:12We're talking here
01:20:15about massive features
01:20:17that are constructed
01:20:18from earthen mounds
01:20:20and also from wood,
01:20:22showing everything
01:20:23from rings
01:20:25to squares
01:20:26to crosses
01:20:27and even swastikas
01:20:29that are on the ground.
01:20:34The archaeologists
01:20:36in the area
01:20:37have no idea
01:20:38who made the geoglyphs
01:20:40or what they represent.
01:20:42But one fact
01:20:44they've been able
01:20:44to determine
01:20:45is that some of these glyphs
01:20:47date back 8,000 years,
01:20:50nearly 6,000 years older
01:20:53than the Nazca lines.
01:20:56Since these can be dated
01:20:58to almost 8,000 years old,
01:21:00we have to wonder
01:21:01who they were trying
01:21:02to communicate with.
01:21:03Could it have been
01:21:04possibly what a lot
01:21:05of these ancient cultures
01:21:06refer to as gods?
01:21:10I think the fact
01:21:11that we're finding
01:21:12more and more
01:21:13of these symbols
01:21:14simply tell us
01:21:16that the humankind
01:21:18at that time
01:21:19tried to communicate
01:21:20with what they thought
01:21:22were the gods
01:21:23from above.
01:21:25It's only one small part
01:21:28of a gigantic
01:21:29archaeological puzzle.
01:21:32Now, we, today,
01:21:35we must stumble
01:21:36over these lines
01:21:37and automatically
01:21:38we have to ask questions.
01:21:40What is it?
01:21:41How have they done it?
01:21:43For what purpose?
01:21:44And sooner or later
01:21:46we come up
01:21:46with the question,
01:21:48is there maybe a message
01:21:49by the extraterrestrials?
01:21:53So we really have to ask,
01:21:55what is the significance
01:21:56of these geoglyphs?
01:21:57Are they calling cards?
01:21:58Are they signs
01:21:59for those in the sky?
01:22:00A lost language?
01:22:02What are we going to learn
01:22:02from all this?
01:22:03Yeah, and are they
01:22:04just signaling
01:22:05to the extraterrestrials?
01:22:07Hey, we're here,
01:22:08you know, come on back.
01:22:09Almost like cargo cults
01:22:11in their airstrips
01:22:12to attract more airplanes
01:22:13to come.
01:22:14Right, I mean,
01:22:15all of these pieces
01:22:16are parts of a puzzle
01:22:19and you don't necessarily
01:22:21have to finish a puzzle
01:22:23in order to see
01:22:24the bigger picture.
01:22:25There is an underlying thread
01:22:29that essentially combines it all
01:22:31that we have been visited
01:22:33physically in the remote past.
