03:24like Venezuela. The scientific and technological power is the scientific technological power that continues to evolve.
03:43In other news, the government of Dominica demands that the United States cease its interference in Venezuela and respect the territorial sovereignty of the South American nation.
04:05The President of Dominica, Sylvain Burton, praised their voice in defense of Venezuela, demanding that the United States respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
04:15Her statement represents the first position of the peoples of the Caribbean against external interference and hostile policies promoted by Washington.

04:35An outrage takes place in Panama after the demolition of the Puentes de las Américas monument, donated by the Chinese community to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the first group of Chinese migrants.
04:58The actions were directed by the mayor's office of Ahreihang. According to the administration, the structure was in poor condition and represented risks that put its structure in danger.
05:09For its part, the Chinese embassy said the monument's condition was adequate and therefore urged the authorities to investigate the demolition.
05:17The key to this action lies in the prior criticism from U.S. political figures, such as Pete Hezek and Marco Rubio, who visited Panama earlier this year and expressed their discontent with the project.
05:29This external suggestion appears to have been the catalyst for the municipality of Ahreihang to proceed with the demolition plan.
05:36For his part, Panamanian president José Raúl Molino and other politicians condemned the demolition of the Chinese monument in the municipality of Ahreihang.
05:54The president stated,
05:56There is absolutely no justification for the barbarity committed by the mayor of Ahreihang in demolishing the monument to the Chinese community built on the bridge of the Americas.
06:05This community is a long standing presence in our country, with generations established here, and deserve our utmost respect. An investigation should be launched immediately. Such an irrational act is unforgivable.
06:18Human rights defender and former presidential candidate Ana Matilde Gómez denounced,
06:23Jorge I. Ritter, where does our redemptive stand if we out our submission to anyone?
06:28It is to deny our shared past, the one we have with both powers in conflict.
06:34Are we or are we not a sovereign nation that should remain neutral in the conflict between two other friendly nations?
06:41For more, Panama's former foreign minister Jorge Eduardo Ritter emphasized,
06:47The demolition of the monument to Chinese culture on the bridge of the Americas is a shameful and abject act that should fill with shame those who ordered it.
06:57And to add insult to injury, the cowards did it on a Saturday night. How utterly disgraceful!
07:04Also on Sunday, an official statement was issued by the Panamanian government,
07:18in which the destruction of the Chinese cultural element at the Mirador del Puente de las Americas was condemned.
07:25The government stated that,
07:26The national government does not agree with the destruction of the ancestral Chinese cultural element at the Mirador del Puente de las Americas,
07:35which represents a community with 171 years of presence in our country.
07:40They also added that,
07:42Furthermore, it does not agree with the procedure used at night, without dialogue, without notice and without communication with the sectors involved.
07:50In the statement, they also said,
07:52Consequently, the immediate restoration of the monument in its original location is ordered,
07:57coordinating actions with the Chinese community of Panama and the Ministry of Culture.
08:11Moving on to Ecuador,
08:12The death toll from the repression during the national strike rises to four,
08:16following the death of a protester injured during the protests.
08:19Authorities at the Eugenio Espejo Hospital in Quito announced the death on Saturday of a craftsman and former Edison Farinango,
08:27who was seriously injured during the national strike.

08:37For its part, the Kotakashi community, one of the areas most repressed by state security forces,
08:43is calling for justice for Farinango's death.
08:56In other news, Cuba rejects the militarization of Taiwan and retaliates his support for the one-China principle.

09:05Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez wrote,
09:07We reject the intentions of the United States government to carry that a massive arms sale to Taiwan,
09:13which threatens the sovereignty of the People's Republic of China, peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
