00:18yeah good afternoon tropical cyclone haley is currently about 465 kilometers northwest
00:24off the kimberley coast so i'm in broome it is forecast to cross as a category two system
00:30tomorrow night about 200 kilometers away at cape levique now the weather bureau says while it is
00:37expected to make impact as a category two it is possible that it will weaken as it moves closer
00:43to shore now in terms of winds 85 kilometers an hour at the center the dampier peninsula can expect
00:51wind gusts of 120 even 140 kilometer an hour winds there and to expect some heavy rain and possible
00:58flash flooding for that warning area broomed kuri bay also including derby what are residents doing

01:12yes so we've spoken to one of the community ceos nathan mckiver from juddagen aboriginal
01:17corporation about 200 kilometers north of broome and there's about 400 people that live in that
01:24community he's told one of our reporters that they're currently doing rubbish runs they've got
01:29plenty of water and food in stock but he's also asking people to make sure that they are prepared
01:36he's told us that the mood there is pretty much business as usual they are very prepared for tropical
01:41cyclones given that we are in the tropical north but they do expect things to become a little bit
01:46more hectic but they do say they are prepared for tropical cyclone hayley scds reporting from broome thank you
