00:00and i said someone's gonna end up dead someone can die 10 to 30 boxes die per year it is not
00:07a game now of course the man wants to make money and he wants to box people and he wants to entertain
00:12his fans reason past that like it's no big deal but i'm looking further into this because that's
00:17no easy surgery and i'm starting to ask the question is this the beginning of the end of
00:21jake paul's boxing career question becomes is this the end of the jake paul era did watching
00:26him get beat that badly ruin future fights or is this exactly what was supposed to happen and there
00:32will still still be interest if jake paul fights a random 45 year old that never boxed in his life
00:37boxing pros react strongly after jake paul's knockout loss to anthony joshua with some even
00:42calling for a lifetime ban on jake michael bisping becomes furious while discussing how jake ended up
00:47in such dangerous matchups he criticizes the pattern of facing mismatches either bringing in
00:53older retired fighters or stepping in with much larger opponents he stresses that combat sports
00:58are no joke and cannot be treated like entertainment alone bisping warns that continuing this path
01:03could lead to irreversible damage from his professional perspective he believes this cycle
01:09should stop now before the consequences become far worse fighter if you're a boxer if you're a mixed
01:14martial artist right you have to take this seriously and you have to respect the game that's why when he
01:20fought anthony joshua i scoffed at it i talked a little bit of because of the lunacy and i said
01:26someone's gonna end up dead someone can die 10 to 30 boxes die per year it is not a game now of course
01:33the man wants to make money and he wants to box people and he wants to entertain his fans and thrill
01:38audiences and that's great and god bless him fair play to him the man is very very successful i've never
01:44talked about that i've only talked about 58 year old mike tyson or fighting retired semi-retired ufc
01:52legends and then talking about them right all i've ever said is box someone your own age and size and
01:57then this thing with anthony joshua i was like this is crazy now let's talk about the actual fight for a
02:02second it happened in the sixth round and it happened in a 22 foot ring a typical ring is 20 foot this one
02:10was 22 foot because he wanted a bigger room to operate a bigger space a bigger ring somewhere to
02:15run away and be on his bike and stay away from anthony joshua now i don't blame the guy i'd have
02:22done the same thing right because anthony joshua is gigantic and has the kind of power that could
02:27potentially do that to you right maybe it's real maybe it's ai right either way his face is going to
02:35be swollen today that's a fact right the bigger ring gives you more space jake paul did about five
02:41miles of road work shot about 25 double leg takedowns because he didn't want to stand there
02:46and go toe-to-toe with him like francis ingarnu did because he knows what would have happened okay
02:53and ultimately it ended up happening anyway in the sixth round and yeah okay he's gonna have the
02:58street cred of standing there say i went six rounds with joshua he didn't go six rounds with anthony
03:04joshua he ran around he avoided the fire and then ultimately got clipped okay they made 92 million
03:10dollars each fair play wade explains that jake had to undergo surgery for serious damage to his mouth
03:15and once an injury reaches the point of being surgically repaired it is never truly the same
03:20again surgery may fix the immediate problem but it also leaves lasting vulnerability in boxing this risk
03:27is even greater because the face and mouth are among the most common targets for punches wade stresses
03:32that continuing to fight after such a procedure is far more dangerous than people realize if jake were
03:38to take another clean shot to the same area the consequences could be severe especially while the
03:42mouth is still healing he points out that screws were placed in jake's jaw which means the structure
03:47has been altered and weakened under extreme impact according to wade this is not just about toughness or
03:53courage anymore it is about long-term health and the real danger of turning a bad injury into a
03:58permanent one by stepping back into the ring too soon it's my cardio would have been better that if i
04:02would have done this that it doesn't matter no ifs in the fight game the ring is the chamber of truth
04:08for a reason and the reason that jake lost isn't because he didn't go to altitude it's not because he
04:13wasn't 230 instead of 220 it was because aj is levels above him as a boxer and as a actual heavyweight
04:22size frame reach strength all of it and at the end of the day he's just better and that's it and that's
04:28okay jake did i think as well as i as you could have asked him to do but i had him wobble at one point
04:35you landed some i had him wobbled and i was like but he kept his hands up better this fight you landed
04:41that right hand yeah and yeah jake did not have him wobbled i know the right hand he's talking
04:46about and i i maybe we can even find it this is the shot that they're referring to that jake landed
04:51on aj might have been that shot right that was the shot that jake said he wobbled aj with he hit him
05:01with some right hands here's one of them right hand over the top he kind of landed it with an open fist
05:05because jake gets very wide when he steps off with a jab to the body but he brings a lot of power
05:11behind that punch so much so his feet come off the ground which usually leaves him in a bad spot
05:15defensively but if you land it it doesn't really matter he lands this right hand it's a big right
05:18hand but aj is not wobbled from that shot chris algieri and paulie malinagi break down jake paul's
05:25performance with sharp analysis from a former boxer's perspective they argue that jake lacks the
05:29necessary boxing skills to move effectively around the ring paulie points out that when faced with a
05:35larger ring and a far superior opponent a novice has only two realistic options either go all out
05:41and fight or run for survival jake however sits somewhere in between unable to fully commit due to
05:46his limited experience chris adds that if jake had fought properly he might have been knocked down early
05:51but he would have earned respect from fans and the boxing community alike instead by avoiding real
05:56engagement he loses credibility and only his loyal followers continue defending him according to algeri
06:03and malinagi without real commitment in the ring jake cannot gain legitimacy as a fighter and his
06:09performances fail to earn him respect from professional boxers obviously it's not even
06:13an insult to him it's just lack of experience but when you're that much of a novice you either know how
06:18to run for your life or fight all out you don't have that in between yet you haven't developed enough
06:23of that in between boxing acumen to really pull that off and so what happens up happening you know
06:29you're either going to fight your ass off and you'll last a minute he would you chris you're
06:33you're being generous round two he would have got knocked down round one if you would have fought
06:36but at least he would have fought he would have gotten the respect of the people and then the
06:39and more importantly the boxing community instead of these clowns that follow him and are still
06:43defending him you know now what happens is you didn't get any respect as a fighter you didn't get
06:48any respect as a fighter because he didn't try to fight at all if he would have i was watching that
06:52through two three rounds i'm thinking to myself this guy would do this for eight rounds if he can if he
06:57can do this three rounds absolutely not fight at all absolutely not engage a single time in eight
07:01rounds he will actually do this and he and he'll do it shamelessly and that's the problem that's the
07:06problem the shamelessness of his approach to the fight you're gonna be a fighter then don't make a
07:11don't make don't don't make an ass out of the whole sport out of the whole business and out of
07:14yourself prime first and foremost because in the end what happens you got his jaw broke anyway
07:18so what ends up happening what's the worst that's gonna happen you're gonna get hurt you're gonna get
07:21knocked out you got hurt you got knocked out anyway but you just prolong the inevitable and you got no
07:26respect out of it now because nobody's respecting that kind of performance nobody's respecting a
07:29performance where you would totally content to steal money from everyone by running for your life
07:35right around and if you could have not engaged a single time in eight rounds that's what he was
07:40trying to do he was trying to pull that off shamelessly so champ the reason i was saying could
07:45go into the second round is because we're overshadowed by how bad jake paul looked that joshua didn't look
07:52good either he didn't throw a lot of punches early on he he completely avoided the jab for
07:57the first four rounds he was just out there how are you gonna throw punches you can't get in range
08:00you gotta get in range to throw punches he found once he started once he stopped trying to knock
08:04jake's head off with every single punch the fight was essentially over but he's out there it looked
08:08like he was rolling out his elbow you know which he did have surgery on he's out there literally doing
08:13this at times he wasn't trying to land the jab if he went out there and started jabbing it would
08:18have been a different thing but he didn't it took him four rounds it almost looked like he literally was
08:21like putting oil on on the rusty joint to get to break the rust off by the time he got there in
08:25the fourth round that's the only reason i said he would last the first or second round joshua didn't
08:29look that great either his feet looked slow he looked like he was he was he was getting off of
08:33an injury being out of the ring for a while okay they find his confidence he to find his jab
08:37and the joshua has a phenomenal jab he's got one of the better jabs in in in heavyweight and the
08:42current heavyweight crop he's got a good jab he's very accurate he throws it a lot he barely threw at
08:45this fight angelo and josh break down jake paul's recent fight and seriously question whether this could
08:51be the beginning of the end for him and influencer boxing as a whole they point out that the fights
08:56jake takes are becoming less interesting for fans mostly because they still feel like mismatches
09:01rather than competitive contests according to them this latest bout crossed a line as it was far more
09:06dangerous than anything jake had attempted before instead of being entertaining the matchup put jake
09:11himself at real risk angelo and josh stress that this fight exposed the limits of the influencer boxing
09:17model when opponents are bigger stronger and far more experienced the spectacle turns into a safety
09:23concern they suggest that continuing down this path could harm not only jake's career but also the
09:28future credibility of influencer boxing knew that he was going to get he knew that jake paul was going
09:33to get exhausted look i've sparred with some of the best guys that were robert gross guerrero he's
09:38fought floyd mayweather he's fought all the top a lot of top guys in those lighter weight classes bottom line
09:43is he would use me even in fight shape i was ready to fight and he would use me for his force four to
09:49five rounds of warm-up that's how like they know how to put the pressure they don't even have to throw
09:54punches jake paul was exhausted after round two going into round three you saw him diving for the legs he
10:00was shooting take that like it was embarrassing for him it was he looked like dylan danis i mean he looked
10:05like dildo danis he was out there trying to get the legs i mean bottom line is i when i was watching this
10:11all come about i said this is exactly how anthony joshua needed to fight never left himself out of
10:16position sure he still got hit every once in a while he got hit with the beautiful overhand right by jake
10:20paul it did it did nothing it did absolutely nothing and so when i'm watching this i'm thinking to
10:26myself he's fighting a great fight like he he's slightly leaving himself here out of position but
10:31look he could take everything that jake paul had and he was marching him down jake paul was exhausted
10:36you cannot run the cory sanhagen said it when he fought murab i can't run around that much or not
10:41murab umar i can't run around that much and try to avoid the takedowns because i'll get so tired
10:45that's exactly what happened in this fight whereas jake paul was moving on his bike so much by round
10:51two he was exhausted they even made a bigger ring they made sure it was the biggest ring they could
10:56possibly make and and have out there or there's 24 he was 24 maybe even bigger i i didn't know that
11:02it was literally in a wait wait so what's a normal size ring for a heavyweight fight like a 22.
11:07i think it's 20 or 22 and he had he had i think a 24 it was i often look up the exact numbers but
11:13it was it was one it was the biggest ring you could actually have available eddie hearn comments
11:19on the relentless criticism present in the boxing world noting that fighters are often scrutinized
11:23regardless of the outcome he explains that jake paul is at best a decent cruiserweight and this
11:29reality became evident when he faced anthony joshua hearn points out that jake lacks the size strength
11:35and experience to fully absorb or counter aj's power which was expected given the vast differences
11:40in weight and professional experience despite this hearn gives jake credit for what he accomplished in
11:46the ring emphasizing that performing at that level as a cruiserweight against a former world champion is
11:51no small feat he stresses that evaluations should reflect jake's actual abilities rather than
11:56unrealistic expectations highlighting that simply surviving and competing in such a high stakes
12:01environment demonstrates progress from hearn's perspective jake's performance shows resilience
12:07courage and potential for growth even if he is still far from the skill level of elite professionals
12:13and i also said as soon as he lands clean the fight's over right he landed a few before but the
12:22the first that he landed really clean was was the final shot but you know he never flatlined jake i mean
12:29he did break his jaw in two places which is a disaster but there are a lot of heavyweights that
12:34would have been out cold from that right hand i mean one of them was francis and garner
12:38in a pretty similar shot really do you know what i mean so i actually give jake unbelievable credit
12:44for for for doing it in the first place but his performance as well i mean i stand by the fact
12:50that i think he's just a decent cruiserweight but like he did go in with anthony joshua and
12:56look the world is full of criticism and opinions and negativity who else is doing what he's doing
13:02at what is he late 20s i mean quite phenomenal i mean the guy's a complete madman i'm watching him
13:08come out to that ring walk and he's just a an incredible entertainer and i'm sort of standing in the ring
13:14going is he for real and he did he did all right i mean i know people will talk about the holding and
13:22but his job was to survive and he survived for nearly six complete rounds by the way which is
13:29remarkable you you just refer to him as a decent cruiserweight so i'm wondering has he officially
13:33graduated we all remember that face to face many many moons ago uh i was in the middle you called
13:38him an average fighter right yeah he's very offended graduated okay he's i i did say it before in the
13:44build-up to that fight i said i used to think he was an average fighter now i just think he's a decent
13:49cruiserweight in my opinion nowhere near world class but how many are i mean you know he's
13:56obviously got a really decent chin maybe not anymore but he did have a decent chin because
14:02the shots that he stood up to and the final shot like he he was conscious he was trying to get up
14:09true geordie reflects on the fight with clear insight explaining that he knew what was going to
14:13happen even before it began which is why he remained so calm throughout he notes that in the early
14:19rounds jake paul was buzzing around like a little bee trying to use movement to his advantage however
14:24as the fight progressed it became obvious that anthony joshua's fitness and stamina were superior
14:29while smaller fighters often rely on speed technique or conditioning to overcome size differences
14:35aj possessed all of these attributes and could maintain relentless pressure longer than jake
14:40true geordie points out that narratives will vary depending on who comments on the fight
14:44jake's promoter claimed it was merely a size issue but once forced to actually fight the skill gap
14:49was undeniable despite this jake still managed to land a few meaningful punches something he can be
14:55proud of and possibly even won a round true geordie emphasizes that if jake had stood and exchanged in
15:01the first round he likely would have been knocked out immediately running may have preserved him for
15:06longer but it also drained his energy highlighting the reality that skill and experience were far beyond
15:12what jake could handle against a seasoned champion like joshua and look aj he knew what what was going
15:17to happen before the fight even took place that's why he was so calm and that's probably why in the
15:21first few rounds when jake paul's buzzing around like a little bee this is going to slow down i'm
15:26going to get to you and i said beforehand the fitness you know aj is going to be fitter than you
15:31you know because normally when you're the smaller guy you might have technique or speed or fitness aj is
15:35going to have it all and once jake stopped running it was obvious like aj was actually fitter than him as
15:40well because he could keep that pressure up for longer and it's funny because depending who people
15:43like after this the narrative is going to be completely different for example jake paul's
15:47promoter said it wasn't a skill thing it was a size thing i was like well no like once jake paul
15:52actually was forced to fight the skills were worlds apart but he did he did well to land a couple of
15:57punches like i'm not going to take that away from him and i think he should be you know proud of
16:01that he did land on aj he might have even won a round that's something he could take to the grave but
16:06let's not kid ourselves if jake paul had have stood in front of anthony joshua from the first round and
16:11took it to him he would have got knocked out in the first round but maybe he would have had more
16:15of a chance of actually hurting aj then because like the gas tank is getting drained right when
16:19you're running all over the shop and your energy of your punches is also getting drained in the
16:23process if you stand there early doors and you're full of energy your punches are going to be harder but
16:29it's being willing to take that level of risk and i think for on some level jake morally for himself
16:34just wanted to get beyond the first few rounds just to say i did that no matter how we got there
16:39and a lot of people are going to discredit it and maybe rightly so i'm not sure if aj will feel great
16:43watching the fight back because there was so much pressure on him to get jake out there early but this
16:48was always a lose-lose unless he knocked them out in 30 seconds and with the strategy jake came with
16:53oh jake knew it was a lose-lose he was thinking that joint right up and it's funny because his coaches
16:57were on about like your footwork your footwork and i'm like this ain't footwork though is it like
17:01footwork is in and out footwork movement and you know out boxing someone he wasn't out boxing him
17:06he occasionally would tag him and then get running again but like that's not boxing footwork in the
17:12traditional sense and i think any fighter of that level would have looked terrible in there against
17:17jake paul like when someone's doing what he's doing you're gonna look like it completely
17:21changes the whole point of you being in there with each other you're supposed to be colliding
17:26joey knight describes the chaos and intensity inside the ring during jake paul's fight with
17:31anthony joshua he highlights that jake was visibly hurt but still dangerous landing punches that left
17:37joshua frustrated at one point anthony a former two-time heavyweight world champion even hit jake
17:42with multiple punches in the back during a clinch knowing it was illegal yet his frustration got the
17:47better of him despite the danger jake continued to throw sharp jabs and rights occasionally landing
17:53clean shots that boosted his confidence knight explains that while jake's hits gave him hope
17:57joshua's resilience showed that he could absorb the damage without being seriously affected by the
18:03fifth round jake thought he had hurt aj with a right hand on the inside marking a critical moment in the
18:08fight joey notes that jake's commitment in that moment demonstrated courage skill and determination
18:15even against an opponent far superior in experience and strength faints a jab left hooks around the side
18:20catches anthony joshua with a clean left hook aj's fucking fuming because jake paul's hit him jake's
18:26fucking buzzing because he's hit aj oh it was chaos it was chaos and what made it even more chaos is at
18:34the end of the round anthony joshua former two-time heavyweight world champion in there with a youtuber
18:41everyone's claiming and anthony joshua is so fucking frustrated at jake paul being able to evade him being
18:49in order to land those shots on him he ends up hitting jake paul with about four punches in the
18:54back while he's in a clinch he knows he shouldn't do it he knows that it's naughty he doesn't give a
18:59fuck he's giving him the punches regardless round five jake once again throws the jab comes low comes
19:05over the top of the right hand it does land on anthony joshua now i don't know how to feel about it
19:11because i feel like the punches that jake was landing was definitely giving him confidence at the
19:17same time as giving him confidence i know full well that there comes a moment of realization when
19:23you're in a fight and you realize that you're probably not going to knock your opponent out
19:26they've got a decent chin they can handle your power and then you start to go right okay let's
19:31make this job easier let's outbox them but if you're in there with someone that you can't outbox jake
19:36paul's not a better boxer than anthony joshua that becomes difficult and that can become a little
19:42bit disheartening when you're landing good shots that you potentially thought would get you out of
19:45trouble or at least buy you a bit of respite and they're not doing that they're not having a desired
19:51effect so as much as i praise jake paul at the same time anthony joshua didn't take anything that he
19:57couldn't take in there tonight and a minute into the fifth right jake throws the right hand low on the
20:03inside he feels like he's hurt aj i think that this was the turning moment in the fight because for the
20:09first time jake commits more than just one or two shots he throws about three four shots
20:16that's it for today's video stay tuned until next time
