00:00I'm not, you know, 100% confident, you know, I just know, you know, the caliber of fighter that Arrow
00:07is, you know, just like I know the caliber of fighter of Tim, you know, I think both of them
00:13have taken a lot of damage in their career so far, but I just think, you know, you know, Arrow
00:22skill-wise, it's edgy.
00:24This is, um, it's a really good fight. I'm inclined to believe this is probably who gets who first kind
00:34of fight, and if it doesn't happen in the first round or the second round or the third round, we've
00:41probably got a great four or five rounds that we've had before it happens.
00:44I don't think this fight's going to go into ten rounds, because both these guys are coming in, like, literally
00:53for the head, and like you said, Tim's the kind of guy that if you let, if you are there
01:00to be hit, he's going to catch you.
01:03Cool. What do you think about that, Spence and Tim matchup? Obviously, Spence coming off a big break.
01:07Without, without overlooking anything on this weekend, you know, uh, obviously it's a, it's a, it's an interesting matchup, you
01:14know, because both guys have been high-level fighters, but also both guys are looked at as guys who probably
01:20have to clean themselves up a little bit and maybe rebuild just a little bit, you know, and I think
01:24Tim is doing that.
01:25I think Arrow not doing that, he's never really been a guy who I think kept a good schedule, and
01:30I think that, that hurt him in the end, so.
01:32As Errol Spence Jr. prepares to face Tim Zhu, boxing pros are divided, debating Spence's elite experience against Zhu's relentless
01:40pressure and power, making this matchup one of the most intriguing and unpredictable clashes in modern boxing.
01:45The fight against Errol Spence, of course you had a famous fight in victory against Errol, and how do you
01:51think that fight can go if they do finally match?
01:53I think it's gonna be good, you know, I got a little, uh, wager back, you know, uh, for my
01:59boy Ty, you know, he got Tim, I got Arrow, but I think it'd be a good fight for both
02:04on this stage in their career.
02:05Sean Porter reacted to Errol Spence Jr. returning to boxing by saying only someone like Spence would take such a
02:11tough fight after a three-year layoff, adding that he had been eager to come back for quite some time
02:17despite the risks.
02:18Coming back in Errol Spence form, you, you, who else is coming back against someone who was just elite, we
02:25know that he's, you know, Zhu is taking his steps back, you know, after the terror that he had in
02:31what, 23, 24, going into 2025, you know, he was on a literal terror, um, but Errol Spence, going, going
02:40overseas, you know, going under the equator, you know, the down under, you know, uh, hostile territory, you know,
02:47and the list goes on, and as you heard what Errol said, you know, I did this, I've done this
02:52as a pro, Sheffield, England, I did this as an amateur, you know, uh, Russia, and Azerbaijan, a couple other
02:59countries, and my dad actually was in those countries with him.
03:01I was about to say, yeah, your dad was with him.
03:03Yeah, um, that's, Errol's coming back the only way Errol could.
03:07I, I think that, you know, we heard him saying he might wake up one day and want to come
03:12back.
03:13My, I imagine that before this fight actually was made, he had woken up a lot of days and wanted
03:19to come back, and it just took some time for this thing to play out, right?
03:22Porter said he believes Spence can defeat Tim even without a tune-up fight, stressing he personally doesn't believe in
03:28tune-ups and trusts Spence's mentality and experience to perform at a high level despite the long layoff.
03:34But, it's got his fingerprint on it, you know, his fingerprint being, um, like he said, I don't, I don't
03:41want, I don't believe in ringing Russ, nor did I.
03:44Uh, he says, uh, I don't believe in tune-up fights, nor did I, you know what I mean?
03:50Like, he's saying all the things that he's always said and done his entire career, so in, you know, 2025,
03:57after a three, three-year layoff, it'll be when they fight, and, you know, we know what that last fight
04:02was like, and, you know, the amount.
04:04The amount of embarrassment, I'm sure he, um, took, and, you know, um, the list kind of goes on from
04:10there, uh, in terms of the, you know, the criticisms and stuff like that.
04:14For him to come back now, and it's this guy over there, and all the concepts, like, only Errol, you
04:20know, but this is what Errol does.
04:22Errol Spence's new trainer, Ronnie Shields, also insisted that there's no such thing as an easy fight, saying a fight
04:28is a fight, and pointing to what happened to Tim Zhu in his last fight.
04:32He says he feels that the reason why Spence went direct to a big fight against Tim Zhu and not
04:37took a tune-up fight was because he feels that maybe Spence doesn't have that much left in him.
04:43What do you think about that?
04:45Well, what is a tune-up anyway? What is that?
04:48You know, you know, I've been hearing, you've been hearing this since I've been hearing that since I've been in
04:54boxing tune-ups.
04:55There's no such thing as a tune-up fight.
04:57Fight is a fight.
04:58You know, a fight is a fight. I mean, okay, if you say Zhu took a tune-up his last
05:03fight, right?
05:04Yeah.
05:04Look what happened to him, you know? He got head-butted, and he got cut under the eye.
05:09So, you know, he's lucky it didn't get worse to where it prolonged his career, so he couldn't even take
05:16this fight, you know?
05:18But, you know, it wasn't that bad, so he, you know, so that's why he's able to take this fight.
05:23It's full. So, you know, it's no such thing as a tune-up fight.
05:27However, Paulymaline Adji said Tim made a smart decision by taking a fight before facing Errol,
05:34explaining that staying active helps sharpness, while long layoffs can lead to rust and negatively impact timing and overall performance.
05:41I think Tim is doing it smarter by having fought the Velazquez fight and now we're fighting the Nerja fight.
05:45If he's able to come through both of them, yeah, there's a risk because you get beat and you implode
05:49everything.
05:50But if you come through both of them, you know, I think also building a psychology and a chemistry with
05:55the new trainer, with Pedro Diaz.
05:57I think it's important because Diaz is a very technical trainer.
06:00So, when you're a technical trainer, when you're with a technical trainer, you're going to need, I think you need
06:04a little bit more time.
06:05You know, it's not the motivation type. It's not the rah-rah type of trainer.
06:08It's very specific, detailed type of boxing, you know, and Diaz has that IQ type of boxing.
06:15So, in order to really grasp that, I think you probably have to spend a couple of camps together.
06:19So, I think Tim is doing it right. We'll know if Spence is doing it right.
06:22The only way we'll know is when they get in the ring because, obviously, there's nothing that really compares with
06:26Spence.
06:27He fought Crawford and then before that, he had a layoff before that as well.
06:31So, Spence has really been inactive, you know, so we'll see.
06:34Pauly Malin Agee believes the clash between Errol Spence Jr. and Tim Zhu will generate strong international interest,
06:41citing Zhu's global appeal and Spence's reputation as a major name,
06:45making it a fight that captures attention across multiple boxing markets.
06:50Pauly, what are you looking forward to most on this No Limit card?
06:54You know, obviously, the main event is the key fight here, especially that it has international meaning
07:02because, you know, in America, the big talk is about the return of Errol Spence.
07:06Here in Australia, it's the return of Tim Zhu and how he's going to continue to keep looking.
07:10So, I think it's a set of worlds to collide, so to speak.
07:14There's an interest in the United States. There's an interest in Australia.
07:17So, I think all eyes are going to mainly be on, you know, how does Tim Zhu look?
07:21You know, obviously, he has to win, but how does he look, you know,
07:24and what kind of, you know, what kind of fight is it going to be with Errol Spence?
07:28That's the talk going into the fight.
07:30Then, of course, you know, they do get out themselves in the ring,
07:33and we'll see what Nerja and Zhu and how things go.
07:36Nikita Zhu said the fight between Tim Zhu and Errol Spence Jr.
07:40is crucial for both fighters at this stage of their careers,
07:43stressing that with momentum, legacy, and rankings on the line,
07:46the outcome could significantly shape their future in the sport.
07:50Massive news today. Your brother, Tim Zhu, Errol Spence, officially announced.
07:54Did you see the presser? What did you make of it?
07:58What's your thoughts on that fight?
08:00Yeah, it's a great fight.
08:02Both of them are in a position in their careers
08:08where it's the biggest, it's either like sink or swim for both of them.
08:14Nikita also responded to the talk around Tim Zhu and Errol Spence Jr.
08:18by downplaying any drama from Tim's alleged disrespectful remarks towards Spence,
08:22saying no one really cares about that kind of trash talk at this level.
08:26He emphasized that in boxing, focus and performance matter
08:29far more than words outside the ring,
08:31especially with such a high-stakes fight approaching.
08:34What did you make of those comments?
08:39Uh, I don't know the backstory to it.
08:41He tried to shake his hand, I think.
08:43He tried to shake it.
08:44And Errol didn't shake his hand.
08:48Yeah.
08:49They're going to fight anyway, who gives a shit?
08:53Those sort of big fights, you want to be in some of those in the future as well?
08:57I mean, I guess so.
08:59I guess that's the plan.
09:01Well.
09:02Spence has suggested that the time away may have actually benefited him,
09:06both mentally and physically.
09:08After years of high-level wars, injuries, and a life-changing car crash,
09:12Spence has spoken about using the period out of the ring to recover properly,
09:17reset his body, and regain focus without the constant pressure of training camps and fights piling up.
09:22Errol, welcome back.
09:24I know it's been a long time coming.
09:26A lot of fans have been anticipating your return.
09:29Tell me the moment where you realize, like, you know what?
09:33It's time to come back.
09:34Like, walk me through that moment.
09:37Um, I mean, it was just a continuously waking up every morning.
09:43It was like, I'm ready to come back.
09:45You know, because sometimes it would get kind of scattered.
09:48It was like, I want to come back.
09:50And then the next day, it's like, nah.
09:53And the next day, I want to come back.
09:55Then it goes three days.
09:56I'm like, nah, I'm cool.
09:57But, um, it was continuously, I was ready to come back.
10:01Like, I kept, every morning, I was, you know, either working to come back or doing something to come back.
10:06So, uh, I'm looking forward to it.
10:08I feel like it's the right time.
10:09I feel like mentally, physically and everything.
10:12I feel like this time away helped me out a lot.
10:16From a mental standpoint, the break allowed him to step away from the grind and pressure of being a unified
10:21champion,
10:22something many fighters struggle with when burnout sets in.
10:25Physically, the downtime helped him heal from accumulated damage and return with renewed energy,
10:30especially as he prepares to move into a new weight class.
10:33The time away, how did it help you out a lot?
10:35Tell me, reflect on that time away and what you learned and really, you know, what it revealed to you.
10:41Um, just locking into a more, you know, disciplined lifestyle to where, you know, I'm always around my family,
10:50you know, just finding different hobbies that I like other than boxing and realizing that I'm okay without boxing
11:00and then, um, just being 100% there for my family and just enjoying life outside of boxing.
11:06And then, um, just getting time to recover, too.
11:09Just getting time to recover mentally, recover physically, and just, um,
11:16and just enjoying life, man.
11:18Enjoying life, enjoying the moment, living in the moment,
11:21and not just thinking about what's next all the time.
11:24I feel like that's a bad habit that I had out of myself.
11:28Like, even at the end of my first world title, like, I never,
11:32I never stepped in the moment.
11:34I always was thinking about what's next, or who I'm gonna fight next, or what I'm gonna do next.
11:39Former world champion, Kel Brook, has described the Errol Spence Jr. vs. Tim Zhu matchup
11:45as exciting and highly unpredictable, saying the clash is difficult to call
11:49because both fighters bring very different but equally dangerous strengths.
11:53He explained that Spence still has the technical skill, ring intelligence,
11:57and high-level experience to compete at an elite standard, even after a long break from boxing.
12:02According to Brook, those qualities alone make Spence a serious threat if he returns close to his best form.
12:08At the same time, Brook warned that Tim Zhu's relentless pressure, physical toughness,
12:13and hunger for big wins could cause major problems,
12:16especially if Spence shows any signs of ring rust early on.
12:20He believes Zhu's style is built to force mistakes and drag opponents into uncomfortable exchanges.
12:25And that you have obviously fought, there was reports last night that apparently he'll be returning in the summer,
12:29Errol Spence Jr. vs. Tim Zhu.
12:30I mean, what'd you make of that return?
12:31Obviously, three years at the ring for himself, just, what'd you make of his return?
12:34You know, I'm excited as well, you know, it's, I wish that I would have fought, you know,
12:39him back in the day, you know, but, you know, it's exciting.
12:42And I met Tim Zhu when I was in Australia, and it'll be interesting to see, to see them two,
12:47me and my cone, so, you know, I'll be watching that, and I'll be excited to see, you know,
12:53the winners, you know, you never, you never, you never know, you know, I could fight the winner.
12:57Errol Spence Jr. is approaching his comeback under new trainer Ronnie Shields,
13:01and both believe the time away from boxing has helped him reset physically and mentally
13:06for a fresh push at the elite level.
13:08Shields has focused on rebuilding Spence's fundamentals, sharpening his defense, timing,
13:14and especially his ring rhythm after a long layoff.
13:16The key message in camp is simple, Spence doesn't need to be a different fighter,
13:20just a sharper version of his former self.
13:23To beat Tim Zhu, the strategy centers on controlling distance and dictating pace early.
13:28Spence will be expected to use his jab to establish rhythm, work the body to slow Zhu's pressure,
13:33and counter when Zhu steps in aggressively.
13:36Ronnie Shields has emphasized patience, making Zhu miss, then punishing him in exchanges.
13:41Another major focus is managing the early rounds, where rust from inactivity is most likely to show.
13:47If Spence can stay composed, avoid getting drawn into a brawl, and gradually take control,
13:52he can rely on his superior experience at the elite level to break Zhu down in the later rounds.
13:57What do either have to do to come out victorious and not just become crossroad challengers from this point on?
14:04I mean, I don't know what Zhu has to do, and I don't care what Zhu has to do, because
14:10I'm with Spence.
14:11I know.
14:13But I think for Errol, you know, Errol just has to be Errol, you know?
14:16You've got to get back to what got him to where he's supposed to be, you know?
14:22You know, Errol, you know, he has one defeat, you know, and that's against Elvis Crawford.
14:28But before then, people were avoiding him like the plague, you know?
14:31Because, you know, he's just that good.
14:33So I think he's just got to get himself back into shape and get himself positioned to where he can
14:43do things that he did before.
14:45What have you seen from Errol on his way to this fight and coming back against Tim Zhu?
14:50Well, you know, just being in the gym with him.
14:53You know, we was in the gym for like three, four days together, and, you know, everything is looking good.
15:00You know, he's feeling good, and he's trying to just recapture what he left.
15:06Boxing commentator Peter Bedell came in firing ahead of the clash, ramping up hype around the bout and stressing its
15:12significance for both fighters.
15:14He highlighted how Zhu's career momentum and Spence's comeback story collided at a critical point in their careers, making it
15:21a true make-or-break fight on the world stage.
15:24Bedell suggested that the matchup carries huge stakes, especially with Spence returning after a long layoff and Zhu looking to
15:31re-establish himself among the elite.
15:33He also emphasized the emotional and sporting pressure surrounding the fight, noting that neither man can afford a slip-up
15:39at this level.
15:40According to Bedell, the contest is not just about rankings or titles, but legacy, pride, and redemption.
15:46With both fighters under scrutiny, he believes the intensity in and out of the ring will be massive, adding fuel
15:52to what is already being called a blockbuster international showdown.
15:56Tim Zhu, Errol Spence, press conference today, mate.
16:00Yeah.
16:00Your reaction to, I guess, the press today? A few heated moments up there.
16:04Oh, look, it's the spice we want. Magnificent.
16:07I mean, I think this is going to be one of the biggest fights in Australian boxing history.
16:11I mean, we've seen some wonderful bouts in Australia.
16:14Of course, we saw Nelson, Jeff Fennick.
16:17Then, of course, Jeff Horne and Manny Pacquiao, July 2, 2017, nearly 10 years ago now.
16:24Time's flown.
16:25And, of course, Haney, Devin Haney, and Kambosis, the quinella there in Melbourne, in 2022.
16:30So, this is going to be right up there with them.
16:32I think it could potentially be promotionally bigger than all of them.
16:36I think it's a beautiful crossroads fight.
16:39You've got two guys who seemingly have finished in the eyes of some.
16:43I mean, Tim, people think he's on the wane.
16:44And we haven't seen Errol Spence for three years in the ring, 1,009 days to be exact.
16:49So, look, that raises real question marks at age 36.
16:53Is the truth no longer the truth?
16:55And, look, I think it's the moment of truth for Tim.
16:58Many analysts believe the biggest question heading into the fight is not just the matchup itself,
17:02but how good Errol Spence Jr. actually is right now after such a long layoff.
17:07With nearly three years away from the ring and a return to high-stakes competition immediately,
17:12there is uncertainty about whether he can still operate at his peak, especially against a
17:16younger, high-pressure fighter like Tim Zhu.
17:19Because of that unknown, much of the prediction talk has shifted toward timing, rhythm, and
17:24who will catch first in the fight.
17:26Zhu is expected to start aggressively, applying pressure early to test Spence's reactions,
17:32timing, and punch resistance after inactivity.
17:34Spence, on the other hand, is known for his sharp counterpunching and body attack, which
17:39could make him dangerous if he settles in quickly.
17:42Analysts suggest the first clean, meaningful connection could set the tone for the entire
17:46bout, either shaking Spence's confidence or confirming his elite level is still intact.
17:50Like he told me, he's been moving, he's been active, it hasn't specifically been boxing,
17:56but in his mind, and I'm inclined to agree with him.
18:00I've been moving, I've stayed away from the negative vices that I've had, and I've just
18:05been with my family.
18:07He seems like he's in a good, positive space, and I think that for him, for some of us, this
18:14is work for other people, like some of, some guys really love this thing and can't live
18:19without it and all that kind of stuff.
18:20I think for Errol, it's like a little blend of both.
18:23Like he loves boxing, he loves this aggressive, physical nature of this sport, and on top of
18:31that, he get to make money doing it, you know?
18:33So I think that when he says, you know, well, when the question's presented to him, why are
18:40you here?
18:40The answer for him is, I can still do it, and I still like it, so I'm gonna do it.
18:46Sean Porter has pushed back on the concerns surrounding Errol Spence Jr.'s strength and
18:50sharpness after a long layoff, insisting that Spence has not been inactive in terms of growth.
18:56According to Porter, Spence has stayed mentally engaged with boxing, remained disciplined, and
19:01removed himself from negative energy during his time away from the ring.
19:04He believes that this mental reset could actually make Spence a more dangerous and focused fighter
19:09than before.
19:10Porter has often spoken highly of Spence's mindset, suggesting that elite fighters don't
19:15lose their core ability just because of time away.
19:18Instead, he argues that Spence has used the break to recover both physically and emotionally,
19:23especially after the intense years of championship boxing and personal setbacks.
19:27Like he told me, he's been moving, he's been active.
19:30It hasn't specifically been boxing, but in his mind, and I'm inclined to agree with him.
19:36I've been moving, I've stayed away from the negative vices that I've had, and I've just
19:41been with my family.
19:43He seems like he's in a good, positive space, and I think that for him, for some of us, this
19:51is work.
19:51For other people, like some guys really love this thing and can't live without it and
19:56all that kind of stuff, I think for Errol, it's like a little blend of both.
19:59Like he loves boxing, he loves this aggressive, physical nature of this sport, and on top of
20:07that, he get to make money doing it, you know?
20:10So I think that when he says, you know, well, when the question is presented to him,
20:16why are you here?
20:16The answer for him is, I can still do it, and I still like it, so I'm going to do
20:21it.
20:22How do you see Errol Spence Jr. performing in his comeback after such a long layoff, and
20:27can he overcome Tim Zhu's pressure in this high-stakes clash?
