00:06:45I don't dance
00:06:45I mean I'm looking forward to like
00:06:48Challenging myself
00:06:49And seeing what I could do

00:10:48Bye
00:10:50Oh yes
00:10:51Bubba
00:10:51You are a cheeky little elf
00:10:52Aren't you?
00:10:53It's time to put us
00:10:54All in the Christmas mood
00:10:56Dancing on the telly
00:10:57On Christmas day
00:10:58Yes
00:10:59How does that feel?
00:10:59That feel it's good. I feel good. Yes. I'm tired. Yes. Now. I know a George who happens to love a Charleston
00:11:07Let's see if he's going to be naughty. Oh nice. I
00:11:11Do love a Charleston and I like being naughty. That is true for me. That was a little laid-back. I've got to be honest
00:11:19It looked like you were dancing after you just had your full Christmas dinner. Well he has. But you know what?
00:11:32The swivel was absolutely brilliant. Your timing was exceptional
00:11:37and your musicality was wonderful. It was a really great routine. Excellent. He's very fussy about the swivel. I know. Motsey.
00:11:46Well, it wouldn't be Christmas without a naughty elf on the shelf. And you gave us to be a part.
00:11:53A naughty elf on the shelf and dancing. You were excellent. We love the musicality. We love your personality.
00:12:04Thank you. Very well guys. Thank you. Shirley. A very, very delicious Christmas cake. Very naughty but very nice. I like Christmas cake.
00:12:15I like it. I like it. I have to say everything in that was tasty, yummy and truly scrumptious. Wasn't it Anton?
00:12:21Oh no it was. Oh we loved it. And the swivels and the connection and the timing was just the star on the cake. You were absolutely divine together. Well done you.
00:12:31Yes. Thank you. Well done.
00:12:35Oh. Anton.
00:12:36Hello swivel. What about that swivel? Come on on your own. Giving it plenty. I like it. Very clean. Great timing. Lovely partnering. I enjoyed it enormously. Well done.
00:12:48Thank you so much. Thanks. Sounds like the judges love an elf who can swivel. Congratulations. Go and enjoy the party. Thank you. Thank you.
00:12:58Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Baba and Nancy. Mama. Mama. Mama. Mama. Mama.
00:13:13Well done. We just opened the Christmas show. Yeah. How did you find it? I found it really good. I'm tired. Yes. My lord. I know. This is a Charleston. I know. Why did you guys do this? This is tiring.
00:13:16This is tiring. You did have the most tiring dance. It's hard work, right? Yes. But do you know what I said to him? Yeah. Accept at the moment. You can do the Charleston. Then you will feel great in Christmas night. Yes.
00:13:37Because you can just sit there or sit in the bed or lie in the bed having any food in your bed without guilty. That's right. I plan to do that. Don't worry about that. Yeah. You absolutely smashed that. How happy are you about the judges' comments?
00:13:52You know, maybe another time, maybe you might see a better Charleston. Who knows? I've never seen a better Charleston than that. You've never? Not what you saw tonight. Tonight was the one. Unbelievable. Christmas. That's right. Correct. Christmas Charleston.
00:14:04That's what that was. Correct. Yes. Ten out of ten. Oh. Good luck to both of you. Thank you. Scores are in.
00:14:10Ladies and gentlemen, the judges have their scores.
00:14:14Craig Revel Horwood, eight. Come on. Yes.
00:14:19Mosse Mabusei. Nine.
00:14:22Shirley Bach. Nine.
00:14:26And Anton Dubek. Nine.
00:14:28CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:14:33No, you're happy.
00:14:35It's naughty.
00:14:41I'm very happy, I'm very happy.
00:14:42Yeah, but... Oh, the door!
00:14:44The door. The door.
00:14:46Excuse me, that's the door.
00:14:49MUSIC PLAYS
00:15:01Thank goodness they can dance.
00:15:04Oh, dear.
00:15:06But I now feel Christmassy.
00:15:09Beautiful judges, thank you.
00:15:12Our next couple is former All Saints star Melanie Blatt
00:15:16and her partner Kai.
00:15:17Tonight, they're dancing to the song Santa Baby.
00:15:20And just like Santa, Mel's hoping to deliver
00:15:22the perfect gift for Christmas Day,
00:15:24a sophisticated Strictly performance.
00:15:31So, I'm Mel, and I'm going to be attempting to dance.
00:15:35I used to be in a band in the 90s called All Saints.
00:15:39It was amazing being with my best mate travelling the world,
00:15:42but the dancing was a lot of plodding around.
00:15:45There was a lot of shoulder bopping back in those days.
00:15:47I don't think there's going to be any comparison
00:15:49to dancing on Strictly.
00:15:51I've always been nervous when I sang,
00:15:54so this is going to be, like, times a million.
00:15:57I am at the point in my life where I know
00:16:00that I need to challenge myself.
00:16:02I mean, you know, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
00:16:04I'm just going to give it my best.
00:16:06We are going to be dancing theatre jazz.
00:16:10It's sort of Fred and Ginger-esque.
00:16:11A lot of, sort of, posing.
00:16:12I'm actually really enjoying it.
00:16:13And that's probably got something to do with Kai as well.
00:16:14I mean, he's so lovely.
00:16:15I'm holding on to you for doing all that.
00:16:16That's okay, that's normal.
00:16:17I wouldn't say I'm in my natural element here,
00:16:18because I've got scoliosis and I've got metal rods in my spine,
00:16:20and that makes me quite stiff.
00:16:21Yeah, and let's give it Gene Kelly.
00:16:35So if my life on Shuggy wasn't hard enough,
00:16:38Kai decided to bring umbrellas into this relationship.
00:16:42It's just, like, to me, a spiky weapon.
00:16:46I don't like doing anything half-hearted,
00:16:50Half-hearted whether I can put it off. I don't know
00:16:56So we've been so busy rehearsing and Kai's been so amazing teaching me this dance
00:17:00I thought I'd take him to the fairground and let him have some fun on some rides
00:17:05What a lovely idea Mel had to bring me to the winter fair. It's not really Mel's cup of tea. I love it
00:17:12I've never seen a fully grown human man enjoy fairground rides as much as Kai
00:17:20It's really really joy watching him. I love it so much
00:17:33We're trying to get Mel on the roller coasters all day, but she's finally agreed to one and I've heard it's really scary
00:17:42Oh
00:17:46Are you ready yes
00:17:51It's been amazing night we've had so much fun and I'm just ready to get on that dance floor and dance
00:18:03Dancing theatre jazz, Melanie Blatt and her partner Kai Windrington

00:19:48Look at you Mel. Well done my darling. I'm not surprised you look pleased with yourself. You made that look effortless.
00:19:55I can't believe I'm still standing. It was good. You made it look easy. Did you enjoy it?
00:20:00I did. I really enjoyed it. Excellent. It took me a while to get to that point but right now I enjoyed it.
00:20:05Well the audience loved it. Let's see how the judges felt. A little bit of theatre jazz for you Shirley.
00:20:10Anton and I love a little bit of theatre jazz. It was full of glitz and glamour.
00:20:14Baubles, bangles, everything that goes divine that hangs on your tree.
00:20:19Lights, camera, action. And I particularly like the way you use the umbrella in the middle.
00:20:24You were totally in sync. You were never in sync darling on your umbrella.
00:20:28An umbrella? Your umbrella scene was fabulous.
00:20:32The whole thing I just thought well that was fabulous. Did you think it was fabulous?
00:20:35Oh I loved it. Fabulous. Fabulous.
00:20:38Fabulous.
00:20:39Oh.
00:20:40Oh.
00:20:41Anton.
00:20:42It was the night before Christmas and all was quiet in the department store until you came in and started with all that nonsense.
00:20:50I mean I loved it. It was all stylish and sophisticated and theatre jazz.
00:20:55Yeah.
00:20:56Oh I love a bit of theatre jazz. I don't know what it was.
00:20:59That was, that was terrific. Start your timing. I loved your timing. Ba-da-ba-ba.
00:21:05All the tacit beats there that you hit and all that. Giving it all. I really enjoyed it. And it's still an umbrella.
00:21:13Thank you. All that and umbrellaography. Well done Mel.
00:21:20Theatre jazz. We're talking your language Craig.
00:21:22Indeed. The custard was getting a little bit lumpy darling.
00:21:26Aww.
00:21:27Aww.
00:21:28Well done.
00:21:29Fantastic.
00:21:30What is this guy with the cage?
00:21:31Much more beautiful than the custard.
00:21:33You have a magnificent develope. I saw you do that my love. You did those really sharp and fantastic jab kicks which I love.
00:21:41The prop work is always difficult. I think you did a very fine job of it my love.
00:21:46Wow.
00:21:49Wow.
00:21:50I love Christmas Craig.
00:21:52Motsy.
00:21:53Listen.
00:21:54If Santa saw this dance he would be sprinting down the chimney because this was lovely.
00:22:01It was sensual. You were in sync. It had a flair and to top it all off what a beautiful smile.
00:22:09Thank you so much. The judges loved it and the audience did too. You're gorgeous.
00:22:15Thank you Mel.
00:22:16Thank you very much.
00:22:17Mel and Kai.
00:22:18Cheers.
00:22:19Come on then. Let's get up these stairs.
00:22:22Woo!
00:22:24CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:22:29I love your face throughout all of that. You were like, yeah, this is what I'm doing.
00:22:37It's Christmas Day.
00:22:38And your daughter Lily-Ella, she came over from America.
00:22:40Yeah, but I haven't seen her for a year. So I can't wait for it to be done so I can go
00:22:44and give her a big hug.
00:22:45Yeah, it won't be long. I promise.
00:22:47Tell me about how have you found the whole Strictification?
00:22:51It's been amazing, yet challenging. You know, coming and getting out of my comfort zone,
00:22:56having to wear a dress, having to look like custard, you know, all of these things.
00:23:00But it's very Christmassy custard, so it's fine. It's absolutely fine. Kai, I have to mention your mum, Candice.
00:23:07She is in the audience tonight. She is, yes.
00:23:10And she makes you very special snack for Christmas Day. Share with the group.
00:23:14Yeah, so every Christmas morning since I was a boy, she's always made sausage rolls by hand,
00:23:19but with the secret ingredient of mango chutney. And I have to tell you, it is to die for.
00:23:24We're all here for it. Congratulations. You were both excellent. The scores are in.
00:23:29The judges' scores are in. Craig Revel Horwood. Eight.
00:23:33Eight. You said an eight. OK.
00:23:36Motsi Mabusa. Nine. Yeah.
00:23:39Shirley Ballast. Oh, I loved it. Ten.
00:23:44Anton Dubé. Nine.
00:23:47Happy with that. Congratulations.
00:23:51Congratulations. Still to come, Scarlett and Vito dance a cha-cha. How is training going?
00:23:57By the way, you both look magnificent. How is training?
00:24:01Honestly, we've had such a giggle, things have jiggled on my body that I didn't know could jiggle,
00:24:05but it's just like, it just honestly laughed from start to finish.
00:24:09Yeah, we laugh a lot, we chat a lot, and we snack, and we eat, and we eat a lot.
00:24:13Yeah, we eat a lot. We're with them. We're with them.
00:24:15OK, we can't wait to see it. I don't know if they've been drinking. Test.
00:24:20Our next couple is Westlife star Brian McFadden and his partner Michelle,
00:24:24and they are going to be dancing a jive.
00:24:27Oh, Test. Now, before you carry on, I just...
00:24:30You know there isn't an Argentine tango in the show tonight,
00:24:34and we all know it's your favourite dance,
00:24:36so the four of us, we've had a whip round, and we decided to get you one for Christmas.
00:24:41Aw, thank you.
00:24:43CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:24:47Best present ever!
00:25:00Merry Christmas.
00:25:02Oh my God!
00:25:03Twelve!
00:25:04Oh my God!
00:25:05Come on.
00:25:06A bit too much stuffing with the turkey.
00:25:08Hello, I'm Brian McFadden. You probably know me best for being in Westlife.
00:25:17Being in Westlife was one of the best experiences of my life,
00:25:20getting to travel around the world, being a pop star,
00:25:23which is something I never thought I was going to be as a kid.
00:25:25My house was always full of dancing. It was a huge part of growing up in Ireland.
00:25:30I wasn't very good at it, but I absolutely loved doing it.
00:25:33You know, Strictly, it's an institution. It's part of British history.
00:25:37But the main reason I'm doing this is for my daughter, Ruby.
00:25:39She's absolutely obsessed with Strictly.
00:25:41I can't wait to see her little face when she sees me on Christmas Day.
00:25:47The jive is very, very difficult. It's not an easy dance.
00:25:52Point this out.
00:25:53You know, it's fast. You need really good stamina for it.
00:25:55It's hard. You see, there's this preconceived idea that being in a boy band
00:26:00means you're a great dancer, but my Westlife days,
00:26:03our biggest dance move was getting off the stool for the key change.
00:26:10So today was a little bit of a break from the norm,
00:26:12and we had my wife, Danielle, and my daughter, Ruby, come down and join us.
00:26:15Hello.
00:26:19Do you want to watch us do our dance?
00:26:21Christmas. I don't want to miss on the holidays.
00:26:25My daddy's the best dancer in the world.
00:26:28Yay!
00:26:31I think my daddy's going to win Strictly.
00:26:38I heard that there's a great choir on in Somerset House
00:26:40singing Christmas carols, so I'm bringing Michelle to see what I do every day.
00:26:44Can't wait.
00:26:45It is Merry Christmas.
00:26:47Everybody's having fun.
00:26:51What a little treat for Christmas.
00:26:52To be able to hear all those voices around you.
00:26:54So beautiful.
00:26:55It is really magical. It's the best thing in the world.
00:27:00Now that we have you here, there actually is a particular number we sing this.
00:27:04Oh, really?
00:27:05About flying.
00:27:06I'll fly without wigs.
00:27:08You know it, you know it.
00:27:09I wasn't really prepared for that, but I've been singing that song for 27 years now,
00:27:12so it's in there.
00:27:13Everybody's looking for that something
00:27:19One thing that makes it all complete
00:27:23When Brian was singing, it did feel quite emotional. It's a beautiful song.
00:27:27Well for me, it's waking up beside you
00:27:31To be able to sing with a big choir like that, that was a pretty special moment.
00:27:35Sunrise on your face
00:27:37Now, it feels like the night before Christmas.
00:27:40Everything's ready to go, and now, focus on the dance.
00:27:46CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:27:53Dancing with the job, Brian McFadden and his partner, Michelle Chekis.
00:27:58Yes!
00:27:59You know, I was afraid that she does not 알고
00:28:07gold passe bilater
00:29:57I mean, not many people could manage that after a Christmas dinner drive.
00:30:03Way too much to reckon.
00:30:05You can have a lie down in a minute.
00:30:07Oh, a minute.
00:30:08Not just yet.
00:30:09Let's go to the judges, find out what they thought first.
00:30:12You've got a pretty good view there, Abton.
00:30:14Oh, yeah.
00:30:16I had too close.
00:30:18You were thrilled with that bit there, weren't you?
00:30:20Enjoying this film?
00:30:22Yeah.
00:30:23He gets an excellent point.
00:30:24I mean, it did make me think I must go over and crack some walnuts.
00:30:28I know how to do it now.
00:30:30What a clinching going on.
00:30:34I thought this, this was, this was great.
00:30:38I love this.
00:30:40Absolutely magical.
00:30:42I mean, a rock and roll number from a rock and roll star.
00:30:46You were magnificent.
00:30:48I thought that was terrific.
00:30:54It did lack a little bit of precision.
00:31:01Oh, it's Christmas.
00:31:03That's the only negative.
00:31:05The energy was absolutely fantastic.
00:31:07You even had retraction in your kicks.
00:31:11I love that.
00:31:12It was full of fantastic content.
00:31:15You styled it out.
00:31:17I didn't know what was happening here when you were climbing up.
00:31:20That makes two of us.
00:31:21That makes two of us.
00:31:23But, you know, I enjoyed that little bit.
00:31:25Our personal moment together there, darling.
00:31:28It was rather nice.
00:31:30It was just for you, Craig.
00:31:31I think it was great.
00:31:32It was fantastic.
00:31:33Really great.
00:31:35Oh, man.
00:31:36Oh, my God.
00:31:37Oh, my God.
00:31:38Oh, my God.
00:31:39Rock and roll Rudolph.
00:31:40You rocked the dance floor, honestly.
00:31:42You left no Christmas crumbs to eat.
00:31:44Great choreography.
00:31:46Michelle.
00:31:47Really well done.
00:31:48Well done, Michelle.
00:31:49Honestly.
00:31:50Really well.
00:31:51Very musical.
00:31:52Very musical.
00:31:53Lots of fun.
00:31:55Shirley.
00:31:56I think after a few tipples of sherry, that would be the kind of number that my mother
00:31:59and I had like in our kitchen, both of you rocking it.
00:32:02I'm telling you.
00:32:03Kicks, flicks, highlights.
00:32:05Just a superstar.
00:32:06Michelle, your choreography was absolutely out of this world.
00:32:09Thank you so much.
00:32:10You kept in sync.
00:32:11You kept in time.
00:32:12It was everything that you would expect and more at Christmas.
00:32:17Thank you so much.
00:32:18You're just brilliant comments.
00:32:19Brilliant, yeah.
00:32:20Thank you so much.
00:32:21Amazing.
00:32:22Super happy with that.
00:32:23I'm not going to lie.
00:32:24I'm so glad that's over now.
00:32:25You can go upstairs and celebrate now for a while.
00:32:26You can go upstairs and celebrate now with Claude.
00:32:27Thank you, Brian.
00:32:29Michelle, everyone.
00:32:30Thank you very much for saying.
00:32:31Bye, Hastie.
00:32:32Yes, Brian.
00:32:33Well done.
00:32:34Brian and Michelle, brilliant comment.
00:32:48I know, it's a lot, right?
00:32:50I'm not going to lie.
00:32:51I couldn't hear anything they said.
00:32:53My ears were going .
00:32:55I was just nodding.
00:32:56You did fantastically well.
00:32:57It is a very fast dance.
00:32:59You chose to do it in pleather respect.
00:33:00I know, yeah, absolutely.
00:33:01You must be boiling in that.
00:33:02It's very, very hot.
00:33:03I have to say, her choreography was amazing.
00:33:05Yeah.
00:33:06She was so good.
00:33:07I really designed this choreography based on Brian.
00:33:12I told him when he was on the judges table, I was like,
00:33:15you just do you.
00:33:16Show me what you've got.
00:33:17I might have got carried away with that bit though.
00:33:18He started tapping.
00:33:19Yeah, so it was really for you.
00:33:21You're a cool guy and that was a cool choreo.
00:33:24Yes, it was.
00:33:25We also have to mention your four-year-old Ruby
00:33:27because I know she's watching and she loves Strictly.
00:33:30Merry Christmas, Ruby.
00:33:31Merry Christmas.
00:33:32And my other girls, Molly and Lily, they're all watching.

00:35:02implant fitted music i can't hear it but we'll get round it my dancing experience
00:35:08non-existent but i'm always up for a challenge and i'm just going to give him my absolute all
00:35:14what's the worst that can happen
00:35:19between dancing and gladiators dancing is harder i'm telling you
00:35:27when i came into it i was thinking oh gosh i'm gonna have to be all elegant but the dance is so me
00:35:33that's it yeah we're going to be dancing street commercial it's power it's agility
00:35:38it's fun but also with a bit of sass as well
00:35:44i think normally you see the guys doing all the lifts but i may have clipped neil over my back
00:35:48and i think that is so refreshing hopefully he'll survive to the end
00:35:56neil's brought me back on the rugby field to attend the world record of pulling the most crackers in a

00:36:59You're officially amazing!
00:37:02I have a special guest with something for you.
00:37:07Congratulations, Santa!
00:37:09We absolutely smashed it, got the world record.
00:37:11Hopefully now we can do the same with a dance
00:37:13and, you know, win that glitter ball.
00:37:15Bring it on.
00:37:19Dancing Street Commercial, Jodie Amsley and her partner, Neil Jones.
00:37:28So there's seeds along the tree, apple cider in your cup.
00:37:34But this year it's up to me, and it's time to spice it up.
00:37:46Yeah.
00:37:47You ready?
00:37:51Kind of feelin' like December, here's a little more cinnamon.
00:37:55Yeah.
00:37:56Ready to call it to remember, and I should know because I'm bringing it.
00:38:01Yeah.
00:38:02Kind of feelin' like December, here's a little more cinnamon.
00:38:07It's so cold, sweet, and there's no place right.
00:38:09Got you feelin' blue on a sliding line.
00:38:12Don't know about you, but I think you say.
00:38:15Christmas is a little more red.
00:38:18Make the lights make me cry when I walk in.
00:38:21Got the fire in my eyes, got me talkin'.
00:38:23Now that I'm be, makin' it clear.
00:38:26It's gonna be a red, red, red Christmas this year.
00:38:29It's not gonna feel but a crisp, and everything that sees has been missing.
00:38:34Now that I'm be, makin' it clear.
00:38:37It's gonna be a red, red, red Christmas this year.
00:38:40Hey Santa, you know what's up.
00:38:43Rockin' the suit and the sleigh.
00:38:45The Christmas, see that it's just.
00:38:48Ha!
00:38:49The Christmas is a little more red.
00:38:51Make the lights on the silver, red Christmas, and everything that sees has been missing.
00:38:56Now that I'm be, makin' it clear.
00:38:58It's gonna be a red, red, red Christmas this year.
00:39:02Smash that, well done.
00:39:14Honestly, well done.
00:39:20Well, my darling.
00:39:22You all right?
00:39:23I know this is a special performance for you.
00:39:26You absolutely nailed that.
00:39:29I think we found another gladiator who can dance, Moxie.
00:39:32Oh my goodness.
00:39:35Yes, for sure.
00:39:36You slayed Christmas Queen, you did.
00:39:39That was really, I enjoyed that so, so much.
00:39:42There was a pump, there was a vibe.
00:39:44You were strong, you were sharp, and I understood the storytelling was a lot of fun.
00:39:53Well, definitely the boss lady.
00:39:56I mean, when you kind of threw him over to the floor, it was like the fight scene with the family on Christmas Day after too much wine, you know what I mean?
00:40:04It was absolutely terrific.
00:40:06You are a star, young lady.
00:40:08Yeah!
00:40:09Oh, right.
00:40:12I'm gone.
00:40:13I enjoyed it enormously.
00:40:14I mean, Neil, you picked a dance to do, a powerful dance like that.
00:40:19I mean, I have to be honest, you came second best.
00:40:21She was mighty.
00:40:23You were magnificent.
00:40:24You were...
00:40:25Wham!
00:40:26Wham!
00:40:27Wham!
00:40:28Two falls in a submission.
00:40:29It was incredible.
00:40:30I really...
00:40:31Your timing was good.
00:40:32Your musicality is good.
00:40:33Your power was tremendous.
00:40:35Got a style as well.
00:40:36I don't think you should do the main show.
00:40:38Follow in Harris' footsteps.
00:40:39What about that?
00:40:40He's good.
00:40:41He's really good.
00:40:42Craig?
00:40:43Yeah, I have to agree, strong, clear, clean lines and moves.
00:40:55I particularly love all the floor work that you were doing,
00:40:58because that stuff is not easy.
00:41:00I particularly love, love, love the rugby tackle, seeing Neil go down.
00:41:05That was my favourite bit.
00:41:06I'll check him up.
00:41:07Yeah, because he deserves that sometimes.
00:41:10I thought the whole thing was formidable.
00:41:14Oh.
00:41:15I think all the judges enjoyed Neil going down, Jodie.
00:41:21And they certainly enjoyed your performance.
00:41:23Congratulations.
00:41:25It was brilliant.
00:41:26Go and get your scores with Claude.
00:41:34Well done, darling.
00:41:38You did so, so well.
00:41:41And it was a hard routine.
00:41:42It was hard.
00:41:43It was really hard.
00:41:44And this was hard.
00:41:45Did you enjoy it, Jodie?
00:41:46Well, it was like a hit class.
00:41:48I thought we were dancing, but that was hard.
00:41:50Like, I'm absolutely blowing.
00:41:53You were magnificent.
00:41:55How much does it mean for you to be here?
00:41:57Um, well, I think, obviously, it's been a pretty hard time.
00:42:02Um, because last week, I sort of lost my dad, which was a shock.
00:42:06And it was going to be here tonight to watch me.
00:42:08So, I think, if anything, it's actually been amazing to be around these guys.
00:42:12Just getting me through it.
00:42:14Um...
00:42:15And, to be honest, I just danced like he was in the audience.
00:42:20And I'm just tapping my mum's here as well.
00:42:23And she's, you know, got out on that.
00:42:25So, yeah.
00:42:26Yeah.
00:42:27It meant a lot.
00:42:28You did brilliantly.
00:42:29We love you, Jodie.
00:42:30Neil, how has it been working with this extraordinary woman?
00:42:33Honestly, it's been incredible.
00:42:34And, you know, we all turn around every time and say,
00:42:36Oh, they're great, they're working hard.
00:42:38I said, I said to you, I sent you a message and I said,
00:42:41If my daughter can be like you when she grows up,
00:42:44Yeah.
00:42:45I will be the happiest man in the world.
00:42:47APPLAUSE
00:42:49You're amazing.

00:43:13You know, I just wanted to get through that dance.
00:43:14Never mind that.
00:43:15So I'm honestly chuffed.
00:43:16Oh, so sorry.
00:43:17Someone's there.
00:43:18It's the door.
00:43:19Hello?
00:43:20Oh, 47 mince pies for a Miss T Daily.
00:43:21Yes!
00:43:22We live together.
00:43:23I'll take those.
00:43:24There was a few more, but I got a bit hungry.
00:43:25LAUGHTER
00:43:26Oh, 47 mince pies for a Miss T Daily.
00:43:27Yes!
00:43:28We live together.
00:43:29I'll take those.
00:43:30There was a few more, but I got a bit hungry.
00:43:31LAUGHTER
00:43:38Tuck in.
00:43:39Yeah, go on.
00:43:40Everyone, get in.
00:43:42Yes!
00:43:43Oi, save me a mince pie, you loves.
00:43:46It is time now for something romantic.
00:43:49So snuggle up on the sofa, give your loved ones a cuddle,
00:43:52and watch a beautiful Viennese waltz from EastEnders star
00:43:56Nicholas Bailey and his partner, Luba.
00:43:59Fancy little snuggle, Craig?
00:44:01Come on!
00:44:02I've always wanted to do this.
00:44:04I can do this snuggling.
00:44:12My name's Nicholas Bailey.
00:44:14I've been a professional actor for 35 years.
00:44:16I'm best known for playing the part of Dr. Anthony Truman
00:44:19in EastEnders.
00:44:20I really loved you!
00:44:23I think being an actor will help me in my dance journey.
00:44:26There's an extent to which you've got to be in the moment,
00:44:28you've got to connect with an audience.
00:44:30I love to dance.
00:44:32Any time there's a beat, I'm the first on the dance floor,
00:44:34but in terms of formal dance training,
00:44:36there's no experience whatsoever.
00:44:39When I step out there onto the Strictly dance floor,
00:44:42there will be pressure, but I think you need that little edge.
00:44:45Hopefully, that's when the magic happens.
00:44:51I've always wanted to do a Viennese waltz,
00:44:53but when I turned up, I realized how technical it was.
00:44:55It's very specific, so it's tough trying to get your head around
00:45:01exact form and structure.
00:45:03Oh, that's lovely.
00:45:05It feels great to do the lifts.
00:45:07I'm just worried that I'm going to drop Luber or spin her off the stage,
00:45:11but she's very, very kind, very, very patient.
00:45:14Beautiful.
00:45:15Gorgeous.
00:45:16There you go, yeah.
00:45:17It's amazing when you make a breakthrough,
00:45:19and you just see the smile break out on Luber's face.
00:45:22Well done!
00:45:24When people say it's transformative,
00:45:26they're really all right.
00:45:27It's pretty amazing,
00:45:28and I'm really enjoying the experience.
00:45:34Luber, thank you so much for teaching me how to dance.
00:45:37And as a sign of my gratitude,
00:45:39I thought I'd bring you down to the amazing Albert Square
00:45:41for a spot of acting.
00:45:43Yes!
00:45:44I love it!
00:45:45Yeah?
00:45:46Let's go.
00:45:47Luber, Luber, guess what?
00:45:49What happened?
00:45:50Someone broke into Ian's gaff overnight.
00:45:52No way.
00:45:53Yes.
00:45:54And stole all his mince pies.
00:45:55How did they get in?
00:45:56They think perhaps they got in through the chimney.
00:45:59Who can that be?
00:46:02Well, don't look at me.
00:46:04I was in the Queen Vic all night.
00:46:06At least there is some honest people still around.
00:46:11It was lovely to take Luber on to Albert Square.
00:46:14Get out of my pub!
00:46:16Listen, if I was an agent,
00:46:17I'd find Luber in a heartbeat.
00:46:19Oh, hi, guys.
00:46:20I found your birth certificate, Santa.
00:46:23Let me see that.
00:46:25Santa, it says here,
00:46:26Luber's your mother.
00:46:28You're not my mother!
00:46:30Yes, I am!
00:46:36Nick, thank you so much.
00:46:37This has been wonderful.
00:46:38It's been lovely having you.
00:46:39After a bit of acting with Luber,
00:46:41now I'm ready to get back on the dance floor.
00:46:43And just have a great time.
00:46:45Thank you!
00:46:50Dancing the Viennese voice.
00:46:51Nicholas Daly and his partner, Luber Wooster.
00:46:54It's the most wonderful time of the year.
00:47:11With the kids jingle-belling and everyone telling you be of good cheer.
00:47:19It's the most wonderful time of the year.
00:47:29It's the happiest season of all.
00:47:38With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
00:47:43When friends come to call.
00:47:47It's the half happiest season of all.
00:47:56There'll be much mistletoeing
00:47:58And hearts will be glowing
00:48:00When loved ones are near.
00:48:04It's the most wonderful time.
00:48:08Yes, the most wonderful time.
00:48:13For the most wonderful time of the year.
00:48:27Yes!
00:48:28Well done!
00:48:29How about that?
00:48:30Nicholas!
00:48:31That was totally charming.
00:48:32You warmed my heart.
00:48:34You look like you're having the best time ever.
00:48:35Oh, amazingly.
00:48:36Yeah, I had a fantastic time.
00:48:37Well, that's a little warm as well.
00:48:38That's it.
00:48:39It's going quite fun.
00:48:40It was brilliant.
00:48:41A gift for us all, Shirley.
00:48:44A gift for us all, Shirley.
00:48:57My heart's warm too after watching that.
00:48:59I just thought it was beautiful.
00:49:01That is a gift worth giving over and over and over again.
00:49:05Like a night out and the Ritz on Christmas Day.
00:49:08Oh.
00:49:09You are debonair.
00:49:10You are sophisticated.
00:49:12You swept across that floor.
00:49:14It was pure class on Christmas Day.
00:49:19You're right.
00:49:20Amazing.
00:49:22I can't wait to hear what Anton thought of it.
00:49:24Oh.
00:49:25Oh.
00:49:26Oh.
00:49:27Oh.
00:49:28Just good.
00:49:29I have to tell you, it was a bit of a surprise.
00:49:32Because it was really genuinely good.
00:49:35I mean your hands.
00:49:36Yes.
00:49:37It's them sweepity sweepity sweepity sweepity sweepity.
00:49:41Hands and lovely and your top nine immaculate.
00:49:45Oh, thank you.
00:49:46You look like you've been doing this for months.
00:49:47Yeah.
00:49:48Not days.
00:49:49It was absolutely beautiful.
00:49:50Great teacher.
00:49:51Well done.
00:49:52Great teacher.
00:49:53My favourite dance of the night.
00:49:54Oh.
00:49:55Beautiful.
00:49:56His favourite dance of the night.
00:49:57I can't wait to hear what Craig thought about those hands.
00:49:59Because he's quite particular about hands.
00:50:01Well, you had a small little incident.
00:50:04A little moment there.
00:50:05Oh.
00:50:06I'm just pointing out what I saw, darling.
00:50:11But you know what?
00:50:12I was as surprised as Anton.
00:50:14I've got to say, it had flow.
00:50:16It had rotation.
00:50:17You used the floor.
00:50:19Extremely well, darling.
00:50:20You were like a grand conductor out there.
00:50:23Yeah.
00:50:24Yes.
00:50:25And the hands were fantastic.
00:50:26Yes.
00:50:27I love it.
00:50:28Yes.
00:50:29Yes.
00:50:30Truly, truly, truly beautiful.
00:50:32I love the way you used your standing leg.
00:50:35And honestly, your frame was unbelievable.
00:50:37How about that tail suit?
00:50:38That tail suit.
00:50:39Oh.
00:50:40You know what?
00:50:41You belong in the Wiener Ball.
00:50:42You go in and do a New Year's Wiener Walzer.
00:50:45So, so...
00:50:47Oh.
00:50:48Very, very nice.
00:50:49Very nice.
00:50:50Thank you so much.
00:50:51You've been a full-on Christmas surprise for the judges.
00:50:54Congratulations.
00:50:55That's got to feel good.
00:50:57Oh, yeah, it's amazing.
00:50:58And when we're gliding together and we're just connected like that,
00:51:00I just want to keep going into the car park and down the high street.
00:51:02Well, we wish you would keep going.
00:51:04Very well-deserved comments.
00:51:06Thank you so much.
00:51:07There you go.
00:51:08Thank you, Nicola.
00:51:09And Nima.
00:51:10Let's go.
00:51:12Oh, fuck.

00:51:18Yes.
00:51:19Yes.
00:51:20That's amazing.
00:51:21What's that?
00:51:22A bit sweaty here.
00:51:23A bit timely here.
00:51:24Nicholas.
00:51:25You've never been on the dance floor before.
00:51:27Never.
00:51:28And then you went and did that.
00:51:29Yeah.
00:51:30What just happened?
00:51:31I had an amazing teacher.
00:51:33Yeah, Luba.
00:51:34My master.
00:51:36Luba is amazing.
00:51:37You were quite nervous.
00:51:38Yeah, yeah.
00:51:39I felt like a sense of excitement.
00:51:40But once we locked into one another, it was just like the world just disappeared.
00:51:44It was a really amazing experience.
00:51:46It's good.
00:51:47You want to feel a bit?
00:51:48You want to feel a few butterflies?
00:51:49Yeah, of course.
00:51:50It's very important.
00:51:51I love the fact that you said Luba is the greatest teacher and she has some interesting techniques.
00:51:56Yeah, she does, don't you, Luba?
00:51:58Yes, I do.
00:51:59I do.
00:52:00Well, I made him dance with a chair, with a scarf, with a broom, with elastics.
00:52:04What else I did?
00:52:05That's right.
00:52:06That was about it.
00:52:07Yes, sir.
00:52:08Yes.
00:52:09I'll just make sure that once he doesn't have me by his side, he can keep dancing.
00:52:12That's right.
00:52:13With any partner.
00:52:14It's been amazing.
00:52:15We're amazing.
00:52:16Good luck.

00:52:37Well done!
00:52:38Nicholas and Luba, please do remember, it's a studio audience combined with the judges' scores
00:52:45that decide who will become our Strictly Christmas champions.
00:52:49You're not going to believe this.
00:52:51It's the door.
00:52:54Oh!
00:52:55Hello.
00:52:56Aw!
00:52:57Wow.
00:52:59It's Carol Singers.
00:53:00Hm.
00:53:01It's Carol Singers.
00:53:03Hmm.
00:53:05Singers
00:53:35Our final couple tonight is taking us out out for a cha-cha in a club
00:53:46Some of the judges are keen to head out too, but I wasn't sure if it might still be a little bit early
00:53:51It's never too early to go clubbing with Shirley
00:53:57Let's go!
00:53:59Whatever you say, head judge
00:54:01It's Scarlet Moffat and our partner Vito
00:54:05I'm here, I'm excited
00:54:13I'm Scarlet Moffat and I am most famous for being on the telly
00:54:19Probably for being a professional couch potato on Gogglebox
00:54:22I feel like I've just been so lucky that I've got to do crazy shows
00:54:27I feel like this one might be my favourite
00:54:29I've always loved dance
00:54:34So to do Strictly has been on my Christmas list since I was 13, since the show started
00:54:39I'm so excited to meet the judges, you know
00:54:42I really, really want to impress Shirley
00:54:44Because she's like the Latin queen and I'm doing a cha-cha-cha
00:54:47I just can't wait to strap my dance shoes on and just get on that floor
00:54:52Run, run, step
00:54:56Training with Vito
00:54:57I've already worn that glitter ball because I'm just having the best time ever
00:55:01Oh yeah
00:55:02Candles burning low
00:55:04Vito literally threw me in the deep end and by that I mean like actually threw me to the floor
00:55:09Oh my God
00:55:10Vito
00:55:11I've not been thrown about like that ever
00:55:14So, you know, Merry Christmas
00:55:15Bend the front leg
00:55:17Big one
00:55:17Shoo, shoo, stretch
00:55:18So I have learned a new word, which is the bogies
00:55:21When Scarlet was spinning around, there was a bit of bogies come out
00:55:25Oh my God, I've got snot on my face
00:55:27As a teacher, it makes me very proud
00:55:29It means that you are spinning really quick, you know
00:55:31So I said like, good bogies
00:55:33This is my dream and it's come true
00:55:35I just want to enjoy every single second of it
00:55:39So me and Vito are having some well-earned rest from training
00:55:44And I really wanted Vito to meet my fiancé, Scott, and my little boy, Jude
00:55:48And we're going to go on a magical Christmas light trail
00:55:51Oh, wow, Jude
00:55:52Look how many lines are out over there
00:55:54What colours can you see?
00:55:56Are you cuddling, Daddy?
00:55:58We've only just introduced the idea of Santa to him
00:56:00So hopefully he gets excited when he meets him
00:56:03Oh
00:56:04I think so
00:56:06Hello there
00:56:08Do you want to give Santa a high-five?
00:56:10I'll give you a high-five
00:56:11Thank you very much, you're very kind
00:56:14What would you like for Christmas?
00:56:18He's off
00:56:19I just don't think he was that keen on Santa
00:56:22He's more interested in the lights, bless him
00:56:25Jude, so cute
00:56:28Sorry, he's not
00:56:29Two-year-olds do what two-year-olds are going to do
00:56:32This has been so wholesome
00:56:35Experiencing the madness of Christmas
00:56:38And I'm just so excited now
00:56:41That Jude gets to watch his mummy and Vito on Christmas Day
00:56:44Dancing the church
00:56:50Scarlet Muffet
00:56:52And her partner
00:56:52Vito Koppel
00:56:53I should be asleep
00:57:03By the heat of the fire
00:57:05I'm on my way out
00:57:08And I'm going to steal
00:57:11I can feel the oceans
00:57:15As I walk in the door
00:57:17Tear between the crowd
00:57:19And the bill of the poor
00:57:21The rhythm of the night
00:57:23Of healing just me
00:57:27Nothing more
00:57:31Nothing less
00:57:33I'm going to steal
00:57:34I'm going to steal
00:57:35I'm going to steal
00:57:36DJ, play a Christmas song
