00:22girl and so did chase from the nice team i'm a little surprised at what you're
00:28delivering today i feel like i got taken down
00:38oh hey bakers welcome back naughty team welcome back to the holiday village wonderful seeing you
00:43too nice team good to see you too here's the thing we're at the mid-season mark and the judges really
00:49want to see what you can do so for this challenge you're going to be making holiday pies all right
00:57and you can make any kind of pie you want oh yeah okay i think this challenge can divide who is a
01:08really good baker and who is not you have to have a perfect flaky crust your feeling cannot be runny
01:16so it's is a really tough challenge and while you're at it each of you needs to make two
01:24identical pies for serving and we'll tell you why later okay all right okay there's been so many twists
01:30and turns and shenanigans this season and now we have to make two pies who knows what surprise jesse
01:37has for us now this is your only bake oh again okay why okay so after this challenge somebody's going
01:46home from the losing team oh my god okay so there are no limits and there are no advantages just go
01:52out there and make the best pie you can to win immunity for your team all right the stakes are so
01:59high do it i'm just hoping that we can solidify another win i feel like team naughty had a taste
02:04of victory and i don't want them to keep that taste in their mouth no pressure all right bakers
02:10two and a half hours on the clock and your baking time starts now okay okay pies pies pies i'm gonna
02:21do lemon meringue i know they already like my meringue so i feel confident in that yeah i would really love
02:28to do a sweet potato pie i'm not either do like a cream pie or a blueberry pie what if you blend the two
02:33and do like a blueberry cream pie that's such a good idea i think the naughty team is really really starting
02:39to find their footing we're collaborating a lot more i think winning that last main heat really gave
02:45us a lot of like positive motivation i was gonna say just remember let your pie crust chill pies are
02:50really demanding technical bakes and i think that the pressure is a lot oh team naughty go get pumpkin
03:01where are the baking pans at nico don't take all the pecans my friend hey pistachio no it's apple the
03:09holiday village is stress girl but i'm feeling confident in our team because we have pie bae aka chase
03:20a lot of pressure on chase for a pie challenge makes an amazing pie has to make another amazing pie
03:26ain't that right alex yes sir i won the first challenge with a bomb chest pie that chest pie was
03:34ridiculous that filling was absolutely delicious i make a stellar pie so we're gonna kick team nutty's
03:41butt today i'm gonna make a chocolate pecan bourbon pie and we're adding tons of bourbon obviously
03:48for this challenge i'm feeling inspired by thanksgivings at my grandma's house as a kid we would often
03:56build leaf piles in the yard so i'm going to decorate with leaf piles made out of pie dough
04:02because what's nicer than like a bunch of children playing in leaves making an all butter crust i learned
04:08a long time ago that you don't want to leave your butter too big the more you can work it into the
04:13dough the more tender it's going to be and i'm baking a metal tin because it conducts heat faster than
04:18glass or ceramic helps you to more quickly evaporate the water in your butter to create the separation of
04:23layers in your dough so that you don't have soggy bottom that you have a good crust and then for my
04:27filling i pre-toasted my pecans just to express the oils get them aromatic the judges told me last
04:34time that my flavors weren't balanced and i really want to make sure that i do that today i tasted
04:38elimination last time and i i don't ever want to taste it again i came here to win i feel like it would
04:45validate a part of myself that's always wondered like should you have gone to culinary school or should
04:51you have done something different i'm gonna fight with everything i got anybody need some pie
04:55weights me please you know it's been such a wild ride coming into this competition in the beginning
05:02i don't know that i did believe in myself enough but today i'm a top contender ashley how does it feel
05:08you could win this whole thing you could take home 25 000 i could and part of the dream of doing that
05:14is being able to take my dad on a trip to scotland he had a liver transplant about nine years ago so
05:20hasn't been able to travel as much and then this would be a dream for us i love that so what kind
05:25of pie are you making so i am making a pumpkin black pepper so that's kind of the secret ingredient
05:31the black pepper really adds a little zing to it and then i'm gonna top it with a maple whipped cream
05:36as well as stained glass confetti sugar cookies to represent christmas ornaments the reason i'm making
05:42it today actually is because of my dad because he hates pumpkin pie like absolutely despises it it became my
05:48favorite pie as an adult and now out of spite i bring it to thanksgiving so we're going a little
05:53bit naughty on the sense that my dad hates pumpkin pie it's so ironic you're making something your dad
05:58hates hopefully to send him to scotland so the irony i hope that that makes him proud i hope this pie is
06:06good enough to win immunity pie is something that i feel pretty confident about so today i'm making a
06:11lemon meringue pie on the top will be a toasted swiss meringue with some silver bells out of chocolate
06:18candied lemon and holly leaves and i think it just really reads nice christmas oh hi oh hey how
06:26are you you know just checking out on someone who's been dominating in this competition no pressure right
06:32yeah but ashley like you she's bringing it every she dominated but i know my way around pie dough i use
06:38shortening shortening kind of gives you a little bit of that structure it gives you some flakiness
06:42and then i did add some lemon zest and some thyme to the crust just to give it a little bit of an herbaceous
06:47pop so team nice is going to continue to keep rocking it we can whittle the naughty team down
06:52a little bit you ain't seen naughty yet though alex oh i feel like i'm on the field pre-game here this
06:59is unbelievable yeah yeah yeah football game yeah keep doing what you're doing i'm doing what i'm doing

07:08target let me pick your brain for a minute what's up who have you got your eye on on the nice team the
07:14biggest competition is chase what he knows how to do he's very good at doing he knows how to make a
07:18mean pie but i mean if you had to guess who's the next baker to go home on that side i would say
07:26either aaron or tamri just because i think the other three have been really consistent yeah but you know
07:32who am i to talk right overall my base have been average at best and i feel like i'm kind of the weakest
07:39link on my team which is why this week i want to make something mind-blowing something that's not
07:45only going to taste great but something that's just going to be memorable and so i'm making a blueberry
07:51cream pie to add a little bit of like a deeper flavor to my blueberry filling i want to play into
07:56the warm spices like cinnamon and ginger and stuff that you would traditionally see around the holidays
08:01and then also i'm adding bourbon i feel like the flavor of the alcohol plays well with fruit and it's
08:06going to taste bomb and then i'm going to decorate it inspired by one of my old family traditions which
08:12was where my siblings and i would not only leave milk and cookies but we would leave shots and a pack
08:18of cigarettes for santa it was definitely naughty i'll say that so my pie is going to have a cream filling
08:26there's going to be a spiced blueberry filling and then i'm going to top it with pretzel cigarettes
08:31because i really want my pie to look like an ashtray it's definitely a risk you know i can't help but
08:37to be like really nervous but yeah i think if this one can come out the way i wanted to it'd be a winner

09:09separate teams i have built a special bond with erin i did a snowman tiny little thing in the middle
09:14yeah that's cute that's a cute one yeah good thank you oh sure anytime anytime what did i come in
09:21here for she's so quirky and funny and you know that selfless mother figure so i wish that erin was
09:28kind of on our team i just love her to bits i'm feeling uh very nostalgic today i'm feeling inspired
09:35by my grandma maxine and her love of elvis presley and every year we would sit in her living room while
09:43she played his records um and this year i'm feeling a little blue christmas so i'm making a blueberry
09:50ganache pie there we go i'm getting teary-eyed thinking about my pie coincidentally i woke up this
09:57morning and i was really really missing my grandma i started thinking about all of the things that made
10:05me feel close to christmas and close to her and i think how do i turn that into a pie so it will be
10:13a blueberry pie filling a blueberry white chocolate ganache top and decorated with a goat cheese
10:20whipped cream christmas tree and pie crust snowflakes and stars i spent most of my childhood sitting
10:27on my grandmother's lap in the lake of the ozarks staring up into constellations i learned constellations
10:33from her so i'm really excited to make this in her memory oh wow well this hasn't been shut the whole
10:44time so that's great oh did was somebody in there did was somebody i'm feeling nervous my bottom oven
10:52just was left open so oven temp dropped to 250 i'm not going to blame anybody else but i don't have time
10:59kicking up the fan yeah i need to get this temperature back up yeah i need 350 really bad
11:05i'm scared because it takes a while to bake such a thick pie to make sure it's baked in the center and
11:09i have to make sure that it cools in time to put on my decor i just don't know how i'm going to get
11:14everything done on time we got one hour left now guys you have to make two pies we've got a surprise
11:27for you later oh no remember you are baking to not lose another baker from your team i'm pushing time
11:34on my pies if i can use the blast when my pies come out i would greatly appreciate it otherwise i might
11:39not make it to my plate oh because i my door was left wide open oh god i feel so much pressure at the
11:46end of this bank someone is going home from the losing team and i'm just really hoping that i can
11:51pull out the immunity because ultimately i want to stay in this competition so bad i want to make it to
11:56the end hopefully i'll be fine but i'll be running up to time let's go chain eyes let's go the inspiration
12:04for this dessert today is a combination one my favorite pie flavors i'm making a pumpkin and
12:10cherry pie pumpkin pie was the first spice i was excited to eat when i got here in america and i love
12:18cherries so i'm gonna bake my pumpkin filling and later i will add my top for the cherries and i will
12:26cover the pie with a puff pastry lettuce and i will decorate with cinnamon buttercream cherries candy cans and
12:33hollies for my cherry compote i'm adding orange juice to make my cherry really pop i will take
12:41ting naughty down by the flavors he's talking smack over there yes be ready i'm coming for you oh my god
12:50so i get my pies out of the oven with a pistachio brandy pan baked on the inside i'm feeling good so
12:57today we have to make two identical pies so my inspiration is honestly just like my love for
13:02the flavors apple pie is like classic but i want to do like a little twist on it so i'm making a bourbon
13:09ginger miso apple pie and i'm going to build each of the layers so i want a little layer of grand japan
13:16a little layer of miso caramel a layer of cooked apples and then to decorate i want to do a cute beanie
13:24inspired hat it's gonna stay nice because it's gonna be the cutest little hat you ever did see
13:30fit for the holidays so the main thing with this challenge i feel like there's something coming
13:37because like having to make two pies why i don't know so we just gotta wait and see i'm waiting for
13:43the other shoe to drop definitely interesting i'm excited bakers we've got 30 minutes woo we're done
13:52thank goodness my pie's out of the oven it looks great i'm gonna get it into the blast chiller so
13:58i can hopefully get the whipped cream on top at a cool temperature so that it doesn't melt away
14:03because this could be a winning pie i think it could charles good to see you you're such an amazing
14:08pastry chef the thing is even though you haven't won a challenge technically yet yes this close i
14:13know you're gonna stop being the bridesmaid soon i i hope but i'm happy uh ashley pulled through for
14:19us i feel like she's kind of carrying team naughty a little bit uh that's fine you know wear her out
14:23before the finale unbelievable i feel like when you say that you should like do that yeah
14:30and then just wait for the final baby exactly well i gotta keep cutting yeah go ahead back
14:37i have decided on an apple pie because it's kind of an american classic it's a risk to go
14:42simple but i'm gonna make it stand out by i shred apple and dice it i cook down the shredded apple so
14:49it really concentrates that flavor so there's no mistaking it's an apple pie and i try not to use too
14:54many spices because otherwise it just covers up all the natural kind of brightness that apples have
14:59and then i am decorating it with braided pie crust and a little whipped cream fresh and i'm also
15:05going to make a little semi rotten apple in the center with a little christmas worm and just to
15:09really tie in the naughty theme it's a lot to make the filling and break down all these apples but i
15:14think it could be very delicious and impress the judges oh my god oh this looks so dark i'm freaking
15:20out a little bit because my pies are looking just a little on the scorched side i'm worried about what
15:27the judges are going to think about this but it's too late for me to really do anything about that now
15:31so i'm just gonna keep moving forward with my plan and hope for the best nico are you writing
15:36up a hit list what is this over here no so this is santa's real naughty list the only thing naughtier
15:42than being naughty is being naughty and pretending to be nice all right well tell me about your pie
15:47holiday pie so a sweet potato and pecan pie sitting on a pretzel and ginger snap crust with a toasted brown
15:54sugar meringue and i'm gonna have the nice team made out of showbread cookies setting a flame a marzipan
16:00santa's real naughty list trying to destroy the evidence of their naughtiness i've sort of made
16:05a name for myself as being the one to kind of go a little past the line on the naughty side and i
16:10want to just keep that up okay well at least if anything you're consistent you have such an incredible
16:14energy and passion for this i can tell how did you find bacon like a lot of kids is kind of doing it for
16:19fun at home and then as time went on i started to continue to find my love and my passion for it
16:25but it like i had a while where i wasn't sure if it was going to be something that lasted okay because
16:31i just had a lot of struggles with like food and eating i'm diagnosed anorexia okay so i actually had
16:37to drop out of culinary school oh man yeah to go to recovery but since then i've gone through treatment
16:43i'm in the greatest place i've ever been in my life right now and the last four months i've gained about
16:4850 pounds and a big motivator in doing that was being able to come out here and live out a dream of being
16:54here and it's like even like if i'm not successful in every bank just being physically healthy enough
16:59to be here is like a win in and of itself yeah i'm so happy you're doing so great keep it up man
17:05there's such a stigma around this disorder and especially being male and i think if i'm able to
17:12be that person to talk about it and to show that there is a way out that would just mean the world to
17:20me that's a beautiful meringue
17:25come on man i'm having a little bit of a hard time getting my chocolate out it just doesn't seem to
17:31want to come out of these molds if i don't get these out i'm not going to have these silver bells
17:34that my whole thing is based off of well that was the kind of the main component of my decoration
17:39so this is incredibly frustrating okay just not doing that today so i'm like rushing to do a backup plan
17:46right now instead of silver bells i'm going to try to do some white chocolate snowflakes and hopefully
17:51it doesn't get lost in translation hey bakers 10 minutes fuego bakers remember you have to make two
17:59identical pies just wait till they find out what's going to happen next right now i'm making the ornament
18:06cookies i'm going to use isomalt in the middle of them to kind of give them like a 3d look the reason
18:13i chose this decoration for today is because my niece makes me stained glass ornaments every single
18:20year for christmas and it's one of my favorite things to receive from her and she's eight shout
18:24out to clara so i'm going to take a little spin on those ornaments and stack the cookies with a little
18:29bit of royal icing to glue them together with some sprinkles in the center to make them look like a
18:34little bit of a snow globe with sprinkles inside i just want a little bit more sprinkles
18:39shush now i'm carving my cherries and dipping in red chocolate because i want this to be my
18:50decoration on top of my pie oh i need you to sit please i realize that my blueberry ganache this is
18:58looser this needs to be frozen which i know but i am running out of time right now five minutes left
19:05all right all right let's go that's a nice tim that's so funny hallelujah they're beautiful look
19:14at that crust now i have all the components my pie is cool and i have just a few minutes to decorate
19:20i'm making my cigarettes and then i'm going to dip the tips into sanding sugar i want to hear this is
19:27definitely not one minute left final details more important than ever it all counts no fresh i start
19:37adding my snowflakes on i'm not thrilled about this 20 seconds left i'm going to hurry oh hi hi hi
19:48something big is about to happen oh my gosh
19:50oh my gosh okay that's it time's up everything is riding on these pies
20:01hey bakers can i get everybody's attention please i need all eyes up here because we've never done
20:07this before oh my god in holiday baking championship it's a massive twist there's no
20:14more time for twists you're late to the game buddy what do you mean guys this is going to be
20:20groundbreaking oh my god we just finished what could i'm going to throw up
20:29what is happening all right bakers i bet you're wondering what's up yeah yeah
20:37in a test of team dynamics and a test of your palates we want to see if you can make good decisions
20:42as a team so the judges want you to choose only the top two pies from your team to put in front of
20:50them oh my god you're going to be tasting each other's pies to decide that's why we made two pies
20:58okay that's right wow entire team's fate rests in the hands of the two pies are you kidding you select
21:05to represent you all right let's get to tasting team naughty you're up first i'm a little stunned
21:12it is a bit shocking to then have to now judge your own teammates especially because we all are
21:19competitive and we all want to win yeah we'll see how this turns out all right team naughty you're already
21:24down two bakers you don't want to be down a third so it's very important you guys are honest with one
21:30another in terms of whose two pies are the best okay so charles tell us what you made so i just
21:36made a classic apple pie and then on the top it's a little christmas worm coming out of a rotten apple
21:42i think that blade is a really really strong technical scale the crust is so beautiful yeah i think this
21:47is a phenomenal apple pie the textures are insane the cream is really good honestly i can't find a
21:53single negative well that's only one dessert yeah so it sounds like you guys are off to a good start
21:58i really want to beat out ashley at some point so i'm feeling optimistic i want to go next i did
22:04a sweet potato custard pecans on top and then obviously the real naughty list did you also make
22:10caricatures of the other bankers on team i have alex their mvp at the moment she's the one really
22:15getting rid of the evidence and we have violet over here rest in peace it's so funny they would
22:20absolutely eat this up for naughty theme i agree it's like team naughty all the way i think it tastes
22:26good but the top part of your crust it's like burned so i'm worried they're going to harp on
22:30you over that i agree i hear that we'll see how the other two are but uh i think i'm on the fence
22:36on this one on the fence on this one yeah okay all right tarik you're up man so it's supposed to be
22:41like an ashtray for santa so this is a blueberry cream pie nico i feel like this theme is right
22:48down your alley it really is i think it's really really funny i think it's so silly tarik that's
22:54really good in that blueberry compote is great yeah your custard is super smooth and it's a good
22:59balance of sweetness and acidity without being overpowering so best ashtray i've ever eaten thank you
23:05this is good like i feel good about this i think my pie could make it into the top two
23:10all right ashley what did you make so i made a black pepper pumpkin pie and i did the pumpkin pie
23:16because my dad hates pumpkin pie it's beautiful i love the cookie my one potential iffy thing is
23:22it doesn't immediately scream naughty like the rest of them maybe do and uh okay it's a little underbaked
23:28yeah yeah my crust is raw it's a little bit on the middle a little raw on the base yeah i'm seeing it
23:33now all right i don't need to taste any more of mine um we can't serve that yeah if your pie isn't
23:42chosen you could be facing elimination if your team loses all right we can't serve what looks like a raw
23:48pie to the judges and i'm just heartbroken i think it's pretty unanimous at this point yeah tarik and uh
23:53charles this is a big challenge to keep team naughty all intact and ultimately tarik charles is going to
23:59come down to you and your pies all right oh my gosh i feel like i'm gonna vomit if tarik or charles
24:06pie doesn't win the immunity for us i'm actually on the chopping block for the first time and it
24:11feels a little bit like a fall from grace to potentially go home because of a pie i am
24:18sick thinking about it yeah
24:20so we'll see yeah no pressure okay it seemed nice all right so camry go ahead and introduce your
24:30pie for everybody what did you make so my little christmas hat pie is a bourbon apple ginger miso pie
24:38with a pistachio french pan it is adorable oh so cute i'm confident that we can all deliver on
24:45constructive criticism but i think stepping into this moment as the pie guy i feel like i could have
24:53the tendency to be a little over critical i think it's pretty sweet sweet okay overall i'm just worried
24:58about it hitting the judge's palette like the saltiness is there but there's a lot of sweet yeah
25:04i agree with you all right next up we have aaron my pie is a blueberry ganache pie it's reading nice
25:11i've never really seen that color blue i like the texture on the crust it's like nice and flaky
25:16i think the ganache up top is just a touch broken i don't like the consistency of my pie but it needs
25:22to be a more solid pie yeah okay we're gonna go jean carlos next so my pie is a pumpkin and cherry
25:31and on the top cinnamon buttercream i love it i would see this in a storybook i like the flavors going on
25:39i really like the tartness and contrast to the spice of the filling yeah it's a fun choice it's
25:44not one that i think i've seen i agree not just because i made but i think tea's great i'm happy
25:51all right pie guy you're up chase i made a bourbon pecan chocolate pie a mascarpone whip i made toffee
25:58candy nuts and a chocolate crumble on top this is so good the pie is nice and flaky i love the creaminess
26:05of the filling i love that i can get the bourbon it's not too much no
26:08you can eat that all night all right good stuff chase way to go good job babe all right guess that
26:14leaves alex so what do we got so we have a lemon meringue pie it also has a lemon thyme pie dough um
26:22the crust for this one unfortunately looks like a little undercooked and i'm not sure about the
26:28meringue seemed like a little bit loose and the citrus flavor is very strong yeah i i definitely agree
26:36everything about the pie was not what i wanted and i would be incredibly embarrassed to present it to
26:41the judges so i think the consistency of chase's pie was so good the flavors were so unexpected and
26:48john carlos chase and john carlos that's my vote i would agree your two best pies in this challenge
26:53belong to chase and john carlos without a question i hope you made the right decisions let's bring in the
26:58judges okay judges we've never done this before we've asked each team to present to you their two
27:07best holiday pies they're hoping are going to win their team immunity okay up first chase from the nice
27:14team chase come on up so this is our first time getting to see team nice being judged in front of us
27:22and i am so nervous because we're going up against the pie king himself chase great to see you again
27:28okay why don't you tell our judges what you made so it is a bourbon pecan chocolate pie oh my god that
27:34cost that's gorgeous yeah this is the whole thanksgiving experience at my grandma mary's the pecan pie is not
27:44only the one that's always fought over but while we were kids i think to distract us and keep us out of
27:50the kitchen it was like go collect sticks go make leaf piles in the yard so i wanted to replicate the
27:56leaf piles it looks delicious like if i would see that in a bakery case i would say give me three of
28:04those um so i love what you've done here now i do think it's nice looking but does it really show the
28:10nice theme i don't know oh oh my god feel so weird to be in here to watch us in a mood for bad comments
28:18it's like a little too even a little too symmetric to give me something as organic as a leaf pile okay
28:25maybe you'll get that nice theme and the flavor sure will just wait i feel really uncertain i'm feeling
28:34nervous for my team because it just felt like a little bit of mixed reviews in terms of decor
28:39so i'm just hoping that it's going to really hit with the flavors
28:44are they being poker face on purpose god i don't know hopefully no
29:04okay it's not your typical pecan pie it is well baked i'm loving all of those like toasted
29:10flavors you get from the pecan but the bourbon kind of overtakes a lot of it for me yeah nance how
29:15about you well more bourbon maybe just a scotch too much bourbon wow oh you think so what yeah
29:33i'm so shook that i out bourboned nancy i mean we all know she she has a stronger palette for alcohol so
29:40it's delicious yes but the bourbon is forward it is forward yes yeah oh my god i loved the bourbon
29:47in it i did too i don't i mean i don't even drink i think the bourbon in here is fantastic yeah i
29:53really like it and your crust is really some of the best we've had on the show really incredible this
30:00crust is amazing just eight plus all right chase very nice job chase's pie wasn't perfect that was
30:05not perfect this was great you did such a good job you did such a good job thank you all all right
30:12judges from the nice team jean carlos let's hope it falls apart i made for you uh pumpkin and cherry
30:21pie pumpkin and cherry pumpkin and cherry pumpkin and cherry on my decoration i decide to go for a
30:29cartoonish we have cherries on top we have the christmas decoration and the piping is a cinnamon
30:37buttercream wait buttercream buttercream cardia are you seeing the nice here i see the nice those are
30:44some really big cherries and like you said it's like the cartoonish side of it and i really like that
30:48yeah and cherries and pumpkin we'll see man i'm confident this pie can be a winner because i take
30:57so many risks especially with the flavors and i hope the judges understand that well i am tasting
31:07a lot of pumpkin and i like it a lot good the cherry is underwhelming because the pumpkin
31:15is overwhelming and i think it's not balanced yeah everything is just a little bit off first of
31:23all buttercream on a pie i think is pretty weird that is weird i'd like that you kind of pushed the
31:29envelope with making pumpkin pie with cherry and your crust is incredible it's flaky it's buttery between
31:36you and chase i don't know who makes a better crust you guys make awesome crust all right john carlos
31:41thank you so much god i'm feeling a little more confident because i thought they were going to
31:47get rave reviews but at the same time that means they're going to be as critical with ours if not

34:00hello judges hi charles i made a classic american apple pie and we would go apple picking
34:07as a kid but every once in a while you get a little critter inside that rotten apple so i did
34:13a little cheeky play on that character it's sort of naughty nice like you could have gave us like a
34:18really like nasty looking worm it's cheeky but i want to see a little bit more naughty got it
34:24naughty there's a worm in your pie like what do you what do you want to have like a switchblade
34:27like i make a pretty good apple pie so i'm anxious to taste this one i'm excited for you to taste it
34:36too let's do it charles whenever you're ready
34:40look how thick the bottom is yeah that bottom crust is super fat it's just this crust is all pretty thick
34:45like if you sell an apple pie

34:57i don't like it just kidding i'm being naughty i love it
35:04and i'm not a big apple pie girl but i think this would change my mind well i love your filling the
35:11apples are cooked perfectly i love the cream i don't love the bottom i just think it's a little
35:16bit thick yes yeah just need a little more something because the underside it's almost flowery like you
35:22kind of get that sort of flower that flower flavor oh at least my don't taste flower it's true but on the
35:30whole this whole thing together is a really really nice bite of apple pie charles thank you
35:36that was pretty good all right well i think we nailed it we have some notes but
35:46he had some notes so i think it's just tight yeah i think it's just tight
35:53all right so bakers we know it wasn't easy picking just two holiday pies from each of your teams to
35:58present to the judges but the judges have identified the top pie from each team the best pie from the naughty
36:05team came from tarik come on good job and the baker who made our favorite pie on the nice team was
36:20chase hi baby but only one baker left us booing and eyeing and that baker is
36:27the crust on your spice blueberry cream pie was crispy and the filling was so satisfying and delicious
36:42really great job tarik thank you oh my god now that i know that my entire team is safe and it's because of
36:51me i feel like i really redeemed myself in so many ways good job buddy it's a bummer that i didn't take
36:58the win for my team but i'm really happy for tarik okay so that means of course one member from team nice
37:06is now up for elimination but here's the thing we don't feel comfortable deciding who's going home
37:13since we didn't taste all of your team's pies we only tasted the top two so you guys are gonna have to do it
37:25oh my god
37:32only you know who deserves to be walking out that door so you're gonna have to make the decision amongst
37:37yourselves that's brutal gagged i am shocked that team nice has to eliminate one of their own this
37:45is not what i was expecting i am gooped gagged bewildered so we have to decide we have to decide
37:52this is a really really horrific shock now as you know nice team of course the top two pie makers from
38:00your team are safe that's chase and john carlos thank you that of course leaves alex aaron and camry
38:08but as a team you now have a decision to make why don't you all come with me
38:14i wouldn't want to be them oh my gosh okay guys look i know this is a really emotional moment we've
38:22obviously never done this before you're going to write down on this card the name of the baker

38:44i feel like this bake is poor enough that it wouldn't be unfair if they sent me home i would

38:54what's going through my head is how important it is for each of the other people on my team
39:02to be where they're at they want to live to bake another day where i feel like
39:07i did this so this is who i decided should be eliminated

39:24thanks this is not easy everyone on team nice has so much passion and talent
39:37but we promised each other to be honest i'm glad we don't have that pressure
39:49it's brutal but at the end of the day it still is a competition and we will narrow

40:07yeah this is unprecedented nice bakers i know this was not an easy decision for you

40:30aaron i am so so sorry you have been such a joy here in the kitchen we are all going to miss you
40:38i don't know what the nice team is going to do without their alpha mom they're going to get naughty
40:45well you can take a moment you can say goodbye to your fellow bakers i love you so much
40:50i came here to holiday baking for me stepping outside my comfort zone to do something solo
41:00and i feel like this is the one time in my life i'm really really happy and proud that i said yes
41:05and i took a chance on myself so yeah i would do it all again we love you so much bye baby girl okay
41:14tough day in the holiday village that was an emotional one but let this be a reminder to everybody
41:20you never know what's coming next so you always have to be ready okay you can exit the kitchen good
41:27job everybody it's amazing how they wrote it well that's sweet this one right
41:41next time the bakers slay with snow day desserts that's magical it brings tears to my eyes really
41:49good and there's a jaw dropping twist no one sees coming are you serious
