00:00But we do have big-time NDA basketball, a 12 o'clock game, a 2.30 game,
00:04an 8 o'clock game, a 5 o'clock game, and a 10.30 game tomorrow,
00:08which starts in the gardens, the Cavaliers and the Knicks, Joe.
00:10We take a look at those look-ahead numbers.
00:12Minus one and a half.
00:14Whoa, look what we got today.
00:15Six and six and a halves on the board for the Cavaliers and the Knicks
00:19to get your day started on Christmas Day, Joe.
00:22Is it a Christmas bonanza for the Knicks,
00:23or can the Cleveland Cavaliers stay under a touchdown to get that cover?
00:27Well, it'll be a third game in four nights for the Cavs
00:31because they just finished.
00:32They had another game last night against New Orleans at home.
00:35They had a game against Charlotte the night before.
00:39So it's going to be interesting with the Cavs here on Christmas Day to kick it off.
00:45And by the way, who's playing for the Knicks?
00:47Because there weren't a lot of guys in that lineup last night
00:50outside of Carl Anthony Towns.
00:52Adonobi didn't play.
00:53Brunson's not playing.
00:54Who exactly is playing for the Knicks?
00:57Is what I'd like to know tomorrow, at least by tomorrow,
01:01before I place this wager.
01:05Revenge is a dish served best cold, I believe.
01:08Something like that is what they say, Joe.
01:09But, take a look at the San Antonio Spurs on their home court here.
01:12Ooh, that home cooking was good last night, as we told you.
01:1540-plus points in the fourth quarter.
01:17We now have a Spurs-Thunder rematch on Christmas Day at 2.30 p.m.
01:20in the afternoon, and a spread of minus 9.5 for OKC.
01:25Revenge on the mind of the Thunder.
01:26Can they get that, Joe?
01:27Will the Spurs go, hey, you can get your win.
01:29We'll still get the cover, though.
01:31Well, listen.
01:32The Spurs beat them on a neutral court.
01:34The Spurs beat them at home.
01:35Now they're going to have to go to OKC, where they have been pretty formidable,
01:40and that place is going to be rocking.
01:42So, certainly advantage Thunder, but it's just good to see the Thunder
01:46as less than a double-digit favorite against somebody on Christmas.
01:49I'm wondering, after two wins now, what exactly are you going to get?
01:53I don't know that the Spurs are emptying the tank here
01:56to try and beat OKC on their own home court.
01:59This could be a rather easy win for the Thunder.
02:02I've got to tell you also, this next game here, the Golden State Warriors,
02:06you've got some lines on the move, Joe.
02:07Opening look and look-ahead line was 4.5 as a favorite towards the Warriors
02:11against the Dallas Mavericks.
02:12We now see 8 and 8.5 on the board in a total of 227.5.
02:16Is it Christmas?
02:17Do we make up with gifts here between Draymond and Steve Kerr?
02:20What are we thinking here today is an 8-point favorite
02:22for those Golden State Warriors?
02:24Yeah, well, I mean, listen, Dallas, a huge win last night
02:27against the Nuggets, right?
02:29Another team that will have, you know, third game in four nights here
02:32with the Dallas Mavericks.
02:34But, you know, everything about Dallas is about the maturation here
02:38of Cooper Flagg.
02:39Another 33 points last night, nine assists, nine boards.
02:43And to beat the Joker and the Nuggets, even by a point,
02:47is pretty darn impressive here.
02:49And if you're Golden State, you know, you've got to figure this out.
02:54Like, figure out what's going on with Draymond.
02:56Are we hitting the reset button?
02:57Are we not?
02:58Because it can't just be Steph Curry or Bust, right?
03:02If it is, they're not winning that game tomorrow against Cooper Flagg in Dallas.
03:06Sorry to say, especially if Anthony Davis plays.
03:09Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, 8 p.m. Christmas night here.
03:14And by the way, the Lakers getting yelled at by their head coach
03:16for not playing very good defense here.
03:17And also, the look-ahead line for this was the Los Angeles Lakers,
03:20Joe, a minus two-and-a-half-point favorite.
03:22That has now swung to a three-and-a-half-point favorite for the Houston Rockets.
03:26And a total now of 228-and-a-half, up from the look-ahead line of 223-and-a-half.
03:31Houston, the favorite, Joe.
03:32Do we agree?
03:34Of course you agree.
03:35I mean, listen, is Donchick playing?
03:37Is he not?
03:38He didn't play last night.
03:39And Dylan Brooks and everybody else just absolutely destroyed them, 132-108.
03:45So I'm guessing he sat this one out because he's going to be playing on the Christmas Day game.
03:51You've got to have Luka out there, right?
03:53They did get Reeves back last night, who had 17 points.
03:56So that's good news for the Lakers.
03:58But they're going to have to score 125, 30 points.
04:01They'll need to beat anybody good.
04:03They beat the not-so-good teams.
04:05They get destroyed by the really good teams.
04:07Houston's a really good team.
04:08Timberwolves Nuggets.
04:09Joe, Timberwolves Nuggets is going to close it out on Christmas night.
04:1210.30 p.m. Eastern, a four-point favorite here for the Denver Nuggets,
04:15and a total of 238-and-a-half.
04:17What do you got quickly in elevation on Christmas night?
04:19The Joker in Denver on Christmas at that price every time, every time.
04:27Christmas Eve edition of the Early Line Arrayed here on the Sports Grid Network.
04:30No better place to be.
04:31You might still be wrapping gifts, getting ready.
04:32Maybe you're on your way out to sit down and have some fun with your family,
04:36or you're actually upset you're going to see your family.
04:39Hey, man, some people have to just get down like that.
04:41With your ass, it's Joe Ranier.
04:42It's Coach JY.
04:44Coach, a lot going on in the NBA.
04:45We're going to talk about in just a few moments.
04:47How is your holiday season beginning right now?
04:51Been off to a good start.
04:53A little bit better than what's going on down by the Bay with a little bit of drama,
04:57if you know what I'm saying.
04:58Yeah, let's get right into it.
05:00Steve Kerr talking about Draymond Green.
05:01Let's get this first clip in.
05:03Would you describe the nature of the conversation you've, Draymond, had on the bench in the third quarter
05:07before he went to the locker room?
05:09Yeah, we got into it, obviously.
05:12And, you know, I took the time out just because I thought we lost our focus there a little bit.
05:18So we hunted down a little bit.
05:21And, you know, he made his decision to go back to the locker room to cool off.
05:26And that's all I'm going to say about it.
05:30Everything is private.
05:31And, you know, I got nothing true or death.
05:36Would you have?
05:36I mean, he hadn't played the last 20 minutes.
05:38Would you have gone back?
05:39All right, let's get a take.
05:41Now, there's two sides of every story that we want to get into.
05:43Before I throw it back to JY, let's get green on Kerr here.
05:47How about that?
05:48Draymond, what happened and why did you leave the bench?
05:51Um, temper spilled over.
05:55And I just thought it was best that I got out of there.
05:59I don't think there was a situation where it was going to get better.
06:01Uh, so it was just best to remove myself, you know.
06:10Um, that's it.
06:13What caused the argument?
06:16Basketball.
06:17You know, um, it's what we do.
06:20We play basketball.
06:22It's an emotional game.
06:25You know, people lose their emotions.
06:26Sometimes it happens.
06:28It is what it is.
06:29Uh, you know, we've been at this.
06:31We've been at this now for a long time, you know.
06:34Coach, we've all had arguments on the set.
06:37We all like to get our points across.
06:38But we never leave the set here when it's all going down.
06:42Draymond left in the middle of an NBA game.
06:44What is going on?
06:46I'll tell you what, Donnie.
06:48Nothing like Steve Kerr says, everything's in private when it happens in public.
06:54I mean, this is just, I mean, it goes to show you that even at his mature age, I guess I
07:01would say, Draymond Green just hasn't grown up.
07:04Draymond Green, the game before, got thrown out.
07:07Steve Kerr defended him.
07:08And now with his 21st ejection of his career, only to be topped by our guy, straight from
07:15Philadelphia, Simon Gratz, high school legend, Rasheed Wallace.
07:18So now we're sitting here, the next game, and you get into it with your coach, and get
07:24into it so bad that you can't deregulate yourself.
07:29You have to leave the bench.
07:30Not only leave the bench, leave the bench and don't even come back.
07:35Now, obviously, Golden State won that game.
07:37But this is a Warriors team that is 15-15 off to a great start.
07:42They're in the eighth slot in a loaded Western Conference.
07:45And I don't know if this team's going to have to make the playoffs.
07:48So if Golden State's going to be anything of substance, Draymond Green's antics have
07:54to stop.
07:55He has to be engaged and playing well for Golden State.
07:58Otherwise, guys, they're not making the playoffs.
08:02Amazing.
08:03Just grown, man.
08:04I got, that's an emotional game.
08:07Shouldn't you at this point, coach, have control of your emotions, especially when it's against
08:12your coach or your own team?
08:13Like, at some point, we've got to stop making excuses here for Draymond, right?
08:18But they've given him contract after contract.
08:21So, you know, you made your bet, Golden State, so now you've just got to sleep in it.
08:25Yeah, I mean, and this is the guy that's got into it with numerous people.
08:29We could talk about the on-court arguments he's got with Kevin Durant.
08:33We could talk about him knocking out Jordan Poole in practice.
08:36We could talk about how he interacts with everyone in that organization.
08:40See, here's the thing, Joe.
08:42It doesn't get old until you stop winning.
08:47When you're winning and winning championships, oh, we also forgot him kicking LeBron in the
08:52nuts up three games and one, which got a suspension to allow LeBron to come back and win that series.
08:56But we'll dismiss that championship that they should have won.
09:00But to me, at the end of the day, Draymond's just got to be a better version of himself.
09:04I get the fire.
09:05I get the passion.
09:06And coaches, you love guys to have emotion unless that emotion turns negative.
09:12And now it's become negative.
09:13And now it's back-to-back games.
09:15And now you go from Steve Kerr defending a technical foul in the Phoenix game versus Dylan Brooks
09:21to now trying to sidestep questions of Draymond's behavior the next.
09:25Now, if we take a look at that Christmas Day slate, you do find yourself with a Golden
09:30State Warriors game against the Dallas Mavericks.
09:32But maybe, like all these games are really good.
09:34The one I want to bring up first before even this Golden State game, San Antonio Spurs and
09:38OKC.
09:39We just saw last night a 40-plus point fourth quarter by the San Antonio Spurs to dispatch
09:44of OKC by 20 points.
09:47You know OKC wants revenge, Coach, but they're favored by nine and a half.
09:51Do they get revenge and cover?
09:52Or do the Spurs go, no, no, no, we got your number now?
09:56I don't know if they got their number, but I'll tell you this much.
09:59That win that they had over the NBA Cup, I think, opened up their eyes.
10:02Remember, that game, you know, Donnie, they were down big and they made that big 13-0 run.
10:08This is the first team that I've seen this year literally punch back.
10:13And not only punch back, keep punching.
10:16So now the Bulleys have now gotten bullied by a young team that I thought was going to
10:22make the playoffs.
10:23We started talking about all these other teams in the West, whether it's Houston or Denver
10:28or the Lakers, right?
10:31Guys, the biggest threat to OKC is maybe the second youngest team in the NBA, and that's
10:39the Spurs.
10:39And if Wembe stays healthy and gives you what he gives you with that depth, they're a legit
10:44final contender right now because I think they've learned how to win.
10:50Coach, we take a look also tomorrow.
10:52The Cavaliers and the New York Knicks.
10:5512 o'clock start.
10:56Your Knicks at home.
10:57Six-point favorites over the Cavs in a total of 238.5, up from 230.5, Coach, in the Garden
11:03on the biggest day of the year.
11:05Everyone should be healthy for New York.
11:07Obviously, no Evan Mobley for the Cavs.
11:10They're just a hot mess.
11:11Everything broke right for them last year.
11:13They've gone the opposite direction this year.
11:15I will say this.
11:16I like the Knicks to win the game in the cover.
11:18The big story we're going to have with Cleveland coming into the new year is, at this point,
11:22if it's not working, do they break it up?
11:25Meaning Mobley or Allen or Darius Garland.
11:29Someone may have to get moved to jumpstart that team because they're stuck in neutral.
11:33Coach, by the way, I was taking a little peek yesterday at the Big East.
11:37I thought Villanova might be the right move over Seton Hall.
11:39They come away with that victory.
11:41The Cats could be back here.
11:43Big East basketball.
11:44You absolutely got to love it, Coach.
11:45Thanks for joining us on Christmas Eve.
11:47Take us to the break with a jumper.
11:49Bang!
11:50Yeah!
11:50Yeah!
11:57Real slim pickings today, which means we extend the courtesy to our hosts and guests here.
12:02You can pick something that might not be on Christmas Eve.
12:05So, Joe, the floor is yours.
12:07It's Christmas time.
12:09Where are the gifts for the people?
12:10Where are you going with this?
12:12Well, tonight, Donnie, I am going to, yeah, they're actually playing, I believe, Belarus
12:17handball right now going on Christmas Eve.
12:20Yes!
12:20Oh, look at that picture coming up.
12:21I love it.
12:22Yes, I will not, under any circumstances, be involved in that.
12:26I will, however, on Christmas Day be involved in the association.
12:30And, listen, I think when you look at the Rockets and the Lakers, they will have Luka back.
12:36And they do have Reeves back.
12:38And let's face it, Luka is not going to return and play defense for the Lakers.
12:44They just got torched for 132 points last night against the Suns.
12:48In the meantime, the Rockets, on the road against the Clippers last night, allowed the
12:53Clippers to boat race them and drop 128 points.
12:57I'm sorry, there is not going to be a ton of defense played.
13:00I think there's going to be a ton of scoring.
13:02I am taking the over with the Rockets and the Lakers at 228 and a half.
13:07I think this thing lands much closer to 240.
