00:00We have a lot going on this weekend across the nation. We're going to look at some football forecasts and some weather implications on the gridiron, but two rounds of snow and ice moving through parts of the northeast. The first is the biggest. That's Friday night to Saturday morning. Could be some lingering ice, maybe a little freezing drizzle into Saturday morning before and perhaps a couple of little sprinkles of freezing drizzle even during one of the bowl games there between Clemson and Penn State.
00:28Strong cold front races across the Midwest, plunging temperatures. That's going to be after a Saturday night game. Had the game at Lambeau Field in the NFL action, Baltimore Green Bay been played on Sunday, it'd be 20 degrees lower than it will be Saturday before the front rolls in. California still dealing with a lot of trouble. The atmospheric river will be winding down and thankfully this weekend it's going to be ending as that system weakens across the area around El Paso. A little bit of snow into the Rockies as well.
00:57But we've got a messy weekend on our hands into the northeast here, at least with some trouble there coming even with the second system. Now, Penn State against Clemson in the Bronx. This is going to be at Yankee Stadium. Snow Friday night, snow winding down Saturday morning. Could be a little freezing drizzle around. We've got to keep an eye out for this sort of thing or at least maybe a sleep pellet or two.
01:20But overall, the conditions will be improving after a tough night there involving snow. Georgia Tech against BYU in Orlando. No weather worries there. We can get to some NFL action. We have some showers rolling in preceding the front, but mild on Green Bay standards. Baltimore at Green Bay Saturday night at 8 o'clock Eastern, 7 Central. Much colder for Sunday there. And then we're going to see a few showers in the pregame. Rain Pittsburgh at Cleveland on Sunday afternoon.
