00:00Let's look ahead to the weekend. We've got some big playoff games in view and there is a big contrast between what's going on late this week into the weekend in the west versus the midwest and eventually into the northeast.
00:12So late this work week there will be some areas of snow across the midwest, the upper midwest and the areas around the interior northeast.
00:18We really get cold across the south and the weekend continues with this theme with a big pretty pronounced ridge in the west and a trough across the midwest and it's kind of shifting gradually a little farther east.
00:32So we've got games in Denver. Buffalo at Denver. This is going to be smooth sailing. Very pleasant weather.
00:38This time of the year could go one way or the other in Denver and we're on the positive side of things.
00:41Almost no wind. Temperatures in the 50s. A bright sky. Accu-weather real field temperatures at times even exceeding the actual air temperatures because of some of these various factors.
00:51Buffalo into Denver. Escaping the snow near the Great Lakes.
00:56We're going to take you a little farther north and there's going to be a big ridge.
00:58The storm track diverting way to the north and that allows for some pretty good weather here in Seattle.
01:04San Francisco at Seattle. It's going to be a night game. 5 o'clock Pacific time on Saturday.
01:09And we're looking good here. 50 degrees around pregame time and we'll be falling, drifting through the 40s during the game.
01:15Could be a lot worse. The stars will be out and we're looking good.
01:19Now, into the weekend and beyond, we're going to have a persistently deep trough across the Great Lakes and the east.
01:27And we're going to have waves of arctic air that move through the region.
01:30Now, in New England, we're kind of on the east side of that.
01:33So it's not the heart of the cold air, but it's certainly chilly enough with temperatures falling below freezing into the 20s here for Houston at New England at Foxborough at Gillette Stadium.
01:42But the real cold air, that's in Chicago yet again.
01:45Another tough, cold matchup with some snow showers and flurries at Soldier Field.
