00:00Hello, hello, how are you? Welcome. I am Arani Flores and I am glad to join you in the summary
00:16of 2025. In a year marked by systematic violence and collective punishment, Palestine has resisted
00:22under the fire and the silent accomplice of the powers. From Gaza to the West Bank,
00:27the activities of the Israeli occupier left thousands of victims and an unprecedented
00:32humanitarian crisis. Today, in this special program, we synthesize the facts, the voices,
00:37and the truths that neither the powers have been able to hide. Let's start.
00:44For centuries, the Palestinian people developed a cohesive and autonomous society on their land,
00:49characterized by an Arab majority that coexisted with Christian and Jewish minorities,
00:53a prosperous agricultural economy, and active roles for women in society. Under the Ottoman
00:58Empire, although politically marginalized, they preserved their identity and community
01:02structures. The arrival of the British mandate between 1920 and 1948 represented a treacherous
01:08rupture. London broke its promises of Arab independence, systematically favored immigration and land
01:13acquisition for the Zionist project, deliberately altering the demography and repressed the Palestinian
01:19resistance. These colonial policies culminated in 1948 with the Nakba, with the massive expulsion and
01:25the destruction of hundreds of towns fragmentating the Palestinian society. Despite this catastrophic
01:30dispossession, their resilience, connection with the land, and struggle for self-determination
01:35persists as a testimony of an unbreakable identity in the face of successive attempts to deny its existence.
01:41The history of Palestine in the last century is the chronicle of a planned dispossession and
01:49an unbreakable resistance. Let's see a historical review of the following material.
01:56In 1917, the British government issued the Balfour Declaration, committed to establish a Jewish
02:02national home in Palestine, completely ignoring the rights of those who constituted the overwhelming
02:07majority of the population. After the British withdrawal in 1947, the UN proposed a partition plan
02:14that granted more than half of the land to the future Jewish state, despite the fact that this
02:19community represented less than a third of the population living there. In 1948, the State of Israel was
02:24proclaimed the catastrophe. More than 750,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes by force,
02:35and the new state expanded 78 percent of the historical Palestinian territory. The occupation deepened
02:41in 1967, despite the UN Security Council demanding the withdrawal in its Resolution 242. The Palestinian
02:49response has been a constant struggle for self-determination, marked by two intifadas, popular uprisings,
02:55and a firm diplomacy. In 1988, the State of Palestine was proclaimed, although the 1993 Oslo Accords
03:03created an expectation of peace. It faded away due to the continuous expansion of Israeli settlements.
03:11On July the 9th of 2004, the International Court of Justice ruled against the illegality of the wall built
03:17by Israel in the West Bank, ordering its dismantling and repair of damage to the occupied territory to
03:22the east of Jerusalem, a ruling that was not fulfilled. A point of historical inflection arrived in July of
03:292024, when the International Court of Justice ruled that Israeli occupation is illegal and must end.
03:36Driven by the denunciation of South Africa for genocide, it corroborates what the Palestinian
03:40people have sustained for 77 years. Israel maintains a regime of apartheid and colonial occupation against
03:47international law. The Global North has been witnessed and accomplished, while the UN issues hundreds of
03:53condemnatory resolutions. The Western powers, led by the U.S., have shielded Israel from any real consequence,
04:00granting diplomatic, economic, and military impunity. But Palestine does not give up, and it is not alone.
04:09Let's take a tour to understand the origins of the Israeli occupation of Palestine. It began in 1947 with the UN
04:16plan to divide Palestine, a resolution that the original population did not accept. Then, in 1948,
04:23the occupation was consolidated with the creation of the State of Israel and the Nakba, or catastrophe.
04:29After the 1967 war, Israel militarily occupied five territories. The first, West Bank, the heart of the
04:37future Palestinian nation, and more than 250 illegal settlements that expel its original inhabitants.
04:43Jerusalem is occupied and then illegally annexed in 1980. After that, Israel imposes policies to alter
04:51its Arab demography, a strategic movement to take control of the Holy City. On the Gaza Strip,
04:58Israel withdrew settlements in 2005, but has maintained a total blockade since 2007. It controls its air,
05:06sea, and borders, making it what the UN has called the largest free air prison in the world.
05:11In Syria, the highlands of the Syrian Golan are occupied by the Zionist regime in 1967 and illegally
05:19annexed in 1981. Israel assurbs it for its military strategic value and crucially for the control of
05:29the water sources of the Hordan River, a vital resource in the region. We continue with more in this
05:36summary in 2025. In Palestine, the Israeli occupation army has killed more than 200 journalists and media
05:43workers while they were doing their jobs. This happens in the midst of the genocide that the Israeli
05:51Zionism continues to perpetrate on the Gaza Strip. The genocide that Benjamin Netanyahu's government
05:58maintained on Gaza has unleashed a serious and systematic violation of press freedom. The murder
06:04of journalists is consolidated as a deliberate strategy to impose an informative blackout and
06:10control the narrative of the genocide that lives in Palestine. Since October 7th of 2023, Israeli aggression
06:19has claimed the lives of more than 70,000 Palestinians. In this extermination campaign,
06:25the communicators have become a clear military objective. More than 250 journalists and media workers
06:32have been killed, making Gaza the most dangerous place in the world for journalism.
06:40The year 2025 has set a tragic record on the Gaza Strip, making it the most lethal place for journalism.
06:46Israeli forces have attacked press tents located in front of Al Shifa hospital when this medical facility
06:55served as a refuge for international and local media reporters. In this attack, Al Jazeera reporter
07:03Anas Al Sharif died, together with Mohammed Khayib, along with his cameraman Ibrahim Saher. Days later,
07:11the nurse hospital in Hunos was hit by an attack that claimed the lives of five more journalists,
07:19along with the medical and civilian personnel who were there. The global community has reacted with
07:25strong condemnation, demanding the end of impunity and accountability for the crimes against the press.
07:33Tel Aviv has been asked to carry out immediate investigations for each death, denouncing how
07:39the Israeli army tries to control the narrative by restricting the access of foreign media,
07:45discrediting reports, and minimizing civilian casualties to hide the true magnitude of the atrocities
07:53on the ground. For this reason, international pressure insists that the protection of journalists
07:59as civilians as civilians under international humanitarian law and that justice be served for
08:05each silent chamber. Considering these attacks not only a human tragedy, but a direct attack on the
08:12right to information. Despite the UN's condemnations and the reports of organizations such as the Committee
08:19for the Protection of Journalists, the International Criminal Court remains inactive. International humanitarian
08:25law does nothing against the impunity of Israel. The UN and organizations have reported a systematic
08:31blockade of aid. Sixty percent of the emissions of humanitarian coordination to North and Gaza have
08:37been denied or prevented by Israeli authorities aggravating the famine crisis. In addition, the complicity
08:46of the U.S., which has used its veto power in the UN Security Council on multiple occasions to block key
08:52었습니다 and the humanitarian weapons in the Iranianпр
08:57create the permanent ceasefire or relief of aid restrictions. Despite the humanitarian catastrophe, the U.S. Senate
09:03has rejected proposals to block the sale of weapons to Israel, ensuring the continuity of military supply
09:10to the Zionist State of Israel. Francesca Albanese, the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the
09:18Palestinian territories denounced that what is happening in Gaza is a genocide
09:23sustained in a system of exploitative occupation and profit with business
09:27interests that support the destruction in Palestine in her most recent report
09:31the expert named the companies that supply f-35s drones and advanced
09:37technology that allowed the launch of six times the number of bombs over
09:42Hiroshima the study highlights the technological companies that have used
09:47Palestinian data for the war of artificial intelligence the energy firms
09:52that have fueled the Israeli blockade and the construction companies that
09:57continue to supply the equipment that has reduced to rubble Gaza Albanese raised
10:02that apparently neutral actors such as tourist sites supermarkets and
10:06universities are normalizing the apartheid and the systematic elimination of
10:11Palestinian life the rapporteur also denounced that the genocide in Gaza is
10:15not an isolated act but the direct consequence of a global system of
10:20complicity led by Western powers while Israel turns hunger into a weapon of war
10:26perpetuating colonial practices and racial capitalists some of the companies
10:32involved and benefiting from the genocide of the Palestinian populations in the
10:37military field are these rtx corporation the second largest manufacturer of weapons in the
10:43world provides Israel with cluster bombs guided missiles and bunker breakers used by the f-16s its

11:54Israeli armed more vehicles in 2024 it sold one thousand six hundred and eighty million dollars in military equipment to the

13:18increase by 13 percent in 2024 reaching 38 billion dollars its air division reported eleven thousand four hundred
13:28million dollars and has spending orders valued Arthur at 36 billion dollars
13:39with this we go to a short break and return with more of this global synthesis 2025 a summary of what has been the
13:46the extermination in Palestine don't go we'll be right back
14:02back in this global synthesis 2025 the education on the Gaza Strip is going through an unprecedented crisis due to
14:09the aggression of Israel according to reports from the UN thousands of Palestinian children are studying and
14:15and improvise refuge without classrooms or save chairs the Palestinian enclave is facing an emergency to offer
14:22education a report issued by the UNRWA reveals that more than 44,000 children go to classes and spaces
14:29installed in refuge many of them without desks or chairs forced to study sitting on the floor the study refers
14:37to the fact that around 660,000 Gaza Strip children have been deprived of education for the second consecutive year
14:45and about 16,000 students have been killed by Israel since the beginning of the genocide despite the
14:51educational collapse the UN agencies have cooperated to try to maintain some forms of learning in temporary
14:58spaces for tens of thousands of Palestinian children
15:01the year 2025 has undoubtedly marked a critical and historically devastating phase in the nutritional
15:13crisis of the Gaza Strip where malnutrition has ceased to be a concern and has become an emergency
15:19declared as famine due to the blockade and bombing of Israel more than 54,000 children under the age of
15:27five have needed urgent medical attention due to severe malnutrition due to the lack of food water or
15:34medication and these more than 12,000 are in very serious conditions pregnant and lactating women
15:40are also severely affected by the lack of access to adequate food the reduction of specialized services for
15:48this group puts both maternal and infant health at risk with one in every five babies being born
15:54prematurely or with low weight in the strip the inability of the international community to guarantee
16:00a ceasefire and access to aid especially in the face of restrictions transforms this nutritional crisis
16:08from a humanitarian tragedy to a moral and global policy failure child malnutrition is the clearest sign
16:15that aid is being used as a tool of war and that international humanitarian law is being blatantly ignored
16:22in gaza
16:37meanwhile the public health situation in gaza is described as catastrophic by the world or
16:43health organization who hospitals are operating at a very low capacity while the health infrastructure
16:50is on the brink of a collapse less than half of the hospitals in gaza are operating and less
16:58than 38 percent of the primary health care centers are operational either partially or at minimal levels
17:07this drastic reduction severely limits access to basic and urgent care and the capacity of the remaining
17:14hospitals to offer treatment is seen to be paused due to the critical shortage of supplies it has been
17:21confirmed that the israeli blockade promoted the exhaustion of some medicines considered essential which
17:26prevents the treatment of chronic and acute conditions the combination of collapsed services and the lack of
17:31energy resources generates direct fatal effects according to w h o data an increase in various diseases was recorded
17:40which highlights the inability of the system to protect the most vulnerable populations attacked by the israeli army
17:48during 2025 a wave of global solidarity rose to support the call for the peace of palestine and to
17:54denounce the threats and genocide perpetrated by the government of bennyahu in gaza the global movement

21:06leaders have raised their voices to denounce what they call an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe
21:11pointing out not only military actions but also the networks of alliances that support the conflict
21:21the great cause of humanity the right cause of humanity is the right of the palestinian people to their ancestral land
21:30it is the right of the palestinian people to life
21:34simply to life to the peace
21:36of the children
21:39to go to the schools that have destroyed all of the schools of the palestinian children of the palestinian women to have a hospital to give birth
21:47they destroyed all of the hospital of the muslim men and women to go to the mosque they destroyed
21:53all of the mosque of the palestinian families to have homes they destroyed their homes 90
21:59of the apartments and houses of gaza were destroyed by the missiles of high precision
22:04in palestine it has done a war to prove the world that the powers imperial powers can destroy
22:12however every day of the last two years and we hear it through international news details about
22:20the genocide of israel against the palestinian people stationed in the gaza strip it commits with
22:26premeditation and systematicity and without real having any consequences the most scandalous crime
22:35of the 21st century the u.s government to this day is an accomplice to a genocide that a mr netanyahu
22:45i don't say israeli i don't say jewish i respect religion their beliefs that's where our constitution
22:53orders but i don't respect netanyahu killing babies with bombs which even have colombian cool
23:01it is evident and totally clear that the war in gaza especially in the middle east is a genocide
23:10in my bilateral meetings with the leaders i express directly the issue of netanyahu and this genocide
23:17committed by the scientists and as president of the republic of turkey i convey everything openly and
23:24clearly in relation to this genocide it is not possible that we overlook this genocide in gaza
23:30and palestine from gaza telesur maintains a permanent team in the place our colleague
23:37reports from the heart of the siege becoming a direct witness of the pain and dignity of a people
23:44that refuse to disappear it has been a year that has not been differentiated from the previous year
23:52the year 2024 and even the ends of the year 2023 even at this moment that we are living in a supposed
23:59humanitarian truth the situation has not changed
24:05this year has been marked by a large number of losses and attacks by the israeli regime that have
24:13affected the civilian population and also journalists it has been a year that has also been marked by a
24:20huge destruction whether in housing or even infrastructure it has also been a year marked by an
24:26unprecedented famine it has been the year in which more gazans have died of inanition having died of
24:33famine it has been a very difficult year in all aspects whether physical psychological or humanitarian
24:40and so far despite the fact that this war is supposedly ending inside the gaza strip there are still
24:47different difficulties that still persist inside the gaza strip and from here from the interior of the
24:54palestinian coastal enclave our message as journalists and workers in the media remains the same it
25:00remains that we will continue to work despite the enormous losses that we have been going through
25:07during all this war inside the gaza strip we will continue with our work despite the enormous
25:12difficulties that we have experienced during all this time and we will continue with our work to show
25:19the world the reality of what is happening inside the gaza strip and our wish for next year is that this
25:27difficult humanitarian situation ends and that the war inside the gaza strip really ends and that the
25:33life we had before is taken back even if it's part of it thank you to hold that in this year 2025 israel has
25:41launched a silent campaign of extermination and psychoterrorism against the gaza population which continues in the
25:48midst of a supposed ceasefire the palestine people resist intel will continue to report on the side of
25:53the truth and of the people as always thank you for joining us
