00:08What was your biggest takeaway from what a lot of people feel
00:13was the best game of the NFL season?
00:15I don't think the Rams are as dominant as people make them out to be.
00:19How about that?
00:20And I think they've gotten exposed, even in the win against Detroit.
00:25We saw from a personnel perspective that defense get torched.
00:30And granted, they won that game in the second half by making adjustments.
00:34But I'm not as high on the Rams as others are.
00:39And I've been high on the Rams, right, over the past couple of years.
00:42I've picked this team as a sleeper.
00:45And I know now everybody's on them.
00:47But again, I still am not wowed by this team.
00:50And again, I think the best team in the conference, and I'm going to go down with this,
00:55happens to be the Philadelphia Eagles.
00:57And I think when the chips are in the middle of the table, whether it be in L.A.
01:01or in Philly, I'm taking that team with my money that I'm betting on in that type of situation.
01:09And if I'm wrong, I would be the first one to admit it.
01:13As much as I believe that Ben Johnson and Chicago are contenders,
01:17they're not getting my money in an NFC Championship game against the Eagles.
01:21And I know they lost there.
01:23Now we have to see if the Eagles get there.
01:25But all those teams on that list have major weaknesses.
01:29Everyone, including the Eagles at times, right?
01:31And I think the Eagles' weakness happens to be their own mind.
01:36No, I think it's not a talent perspective.
01:39Because talent-wise, on paper, Eagles are clearly head and shoulders above and better than anybody.
01:46So, I want to go to the Thursday game.
01:49Because for what I'm looking for, it was perfect.
01:55I wouldn't change anything about that game.
01:58Are you buying into Darnold?
01:59Not even a little bit.

02:02Sam Darnold, once again, showed everybody exactly who he is.

02:09But he was given chance after chance after chance and eventually made good.
02:17But Sam Darnold, to be very, very clear, had thrown that football game away.

02:24And then Rasheed Shahid, with a 58-yard punt return touchdown, gives them life.
02:30They complete the two-point conversion.
02:32He hits a wide-open A.J. Barner, and now they need a two-point conversion.
02:37Complete chaos ensues.
02:39They didn't complete it.
02:41But whatever.
02:41It worked out for them.
02:42Okay, fine.
02:43And then he did have a good drive in overtime.
02:46I'm not going to act like he didn't.
02:48But Sam Darnold showed everybody exactly what he is.
02:53So, I will be very ready to pick against them when the playoffs begin.
02:57So, check that box.
02:58I am interested in the Rams at realistic numbers.
03:03We keep doing this thing where people, Joe, are like,
03:06it's an open year.
03:08Rams are the greatest team we've ever seen.
03:09Hold on a minute now.
03:10That's not adding up, right?
03:12There's a lack of consistency there.
03:13And there's sometimes consistency lacking in the market.
03:16The Rams, when they are finally locked in as a wild-card team,
03:21I want to see what those numbers look like.
03:22I think they could still be dangerous, even out of the wild-card slot.
03:26But they are a completely waste-of-time bet where they're being booked.
03:31And then the most interesting thing for me is somebody who preseason
03:34bets San Francisco is their path to the one seed.
03:37And I've talked quite a lot about that.
03:38So, I was very, very pleased with what I saw on Thursday night.
