00:00We go to Uruguay. The health authorities have issued a warning about the possible arrival of
00:04the H3N2 superflu virus in the country. The Ministry of Health stated that it will bring
00:10forward the 2026 flu campaign to promote the administration of vaccines. According to the
00:17authorities, the campaign will give priority to pregnant women, children aged 65 years,
00:23and elderly adults. To date, the disease has been detected in 35 countries and is expected to
00:30reach Montevideo, given the flow of people visiting during the winter holidays.
00:41Meanwhile, in Guatemala, the Ministry of Health confirmed the first case of the H3N2 variant
00:47K-influenza in a 24-year-old woman. In turn, the Ministry announced the launching of a vaccination
00:54campaign to protect citizens from the variant. The campaign will prioritise people over 60 years of
01:01age, children aged 6 to 35 months, pregnant women, and emergency service personnel. The authority
01:07also stated that the circulation of the case subsequently had increased rapidly in Europe
01:14and several Asian countries according to a significant proportion of analyzed influenza type A, H3N2 viruses.
