00:43But while the competition on the field is not going to be what it is later,

01:29You know, so in terms of, like, the proof of concept of what this offense is,
01:34the collaboration in the offensive room,
01:37won't that also lead to more confidence, maybe more momentum,
01:41when the competition levels up?

02:02Show me the capability.
02:04Show me the capacity to do these things.
02:05I think those will give you some confidence in doing that.
02:08But then also, what have we talked about?
02:10This is a first-time offensive play caller
02:12with a lot of different cooks in the kitchen,
02:14not in the bad way necessarily,
02:15but there's a lot of variables that need to be figured out.
02:18I think that these are the opportunities.
02:21How can you get to the higher ends of your offense,
02:23and what does it look like,
02:24and what are the things that you do well when you're there
02:26so that you don't need to try and figure those things out
02:29in the highest leverage circumstances?
02:32You figure them out in these.
02:33So I'm very much with you on the idea of prove to me
02:36that you can get to those levels.
02:37Prove to yourself that you can do it.
02:40Or maybe they believe intrinsically.
02:42Because any time we have one of these things,
02:44whether it's Jawar Jordan popping off for 101 yards
02:47or C.J. Stroud finding his level again
02:49and looking like C.J. Stroud,
02:50it's like we always believed that that was there.
02:52That's cool.
02:53Put it on wax.
02:54Put it on paper.
02:54And I think this is an instance for you
02:56to put the highest levels, hopefully,
02:58of this offense's capability on paper
03:01so that you know it's there
03:02so that you can then utilize that going forward.
03:05But I don't know that that intrinsically means
03:07you do it this week and you will do it next week.
03:09I think that they very much believe that
03:11in any given time, you've got to go get it out the mud
03:13even if you've done it before.
03:14I think that's what we talk about defensively
03:16where D'Amico was kind of curmudgeonly almost
03:18about the defense because he's like,
03:19just because you played good defense last week
03:21does not mean that this team is not good.
03:23And I think that that's the same thing offensively.
03:25So that's why I won't go to the momentum.
03:26But I do think that they need to show us further
03:28that this offense goes higher.
03:29And not to argue this,
03:30but I think what you are describing is confidence.
03:34And confidence leads to momentum.
03:36And again, we're not going to argue that word
03:38because I think that is real.
03:39When you have that confidence.
03:40And actually, Nick Cayley yesterday, Figge,
03:42was talking about just how well
03:45the collaboration has come together.
03:48And I think that's what has showed itself
03:51even before the Cardinals game,
03:53certainly in the Cardinals game.
03:55And if it continues,
03:56I think that's going to be the confidence.

04:02You know, some guys I've worked with before,
04:04some guys that I haven't.
04:05But I think everybody's really just collectively
04:07trying to come together to do what's best
04:08and got guys with really good ideas,
04:10guys that, you know,
04:11especially as we progress through the season,
04:13I mean, you know, starting with me on down,
04:15like we're finding, you know, how...
04:17what our guys can do, you know,
04:18who we have available,
04:19what's worked, what hasn't,
04:20how can we tweak and refine things.
04:22And I think the big thing is
04:23we're all on the same page
04:24and collectively trying to, you know,
04:25when we bring up suggestions collectively as a group,
04:27you know, we're not bringing up, you know,
04:28stealing this from this team or this team.
04:30It may not fit what we're doing here,
04:31what our guys, you know,
04:32skill sets may, you know, bring to the table.
04:35So I think being on the same page,
04:37being consistent in our workflow,
04:39being able to, you know,
04:41have no ego and set things aside.
04:42And I feel like we have a really good
04:43working relationship with everybody.
04:46And I'm pleased with those guys.
04:47Again, you know,
04:48a lot of guys have been here prior to me.
04:49And then, you know,
04:50I've got some experience prior to coming here
04:51with Cole Popovich,
04:52obviously really good coach,
04:54spent time with him, Jerry Szaplinski.
04:56I think he's a fantastic football coach.
04:57One of the best coaches I've been around.
04:59And, you know,
05:00the guys that have been here too,
05:01we've, we've really, you know,
05:02connected and gelled.
05:03And I've been very,
05:04very pleased with the entire staff.
05:06Can't do it alone.
05:06And it takes everybody.

06:29once you are settling in

06:32with the identities that you want,
06:33finding the right things that work,
06:35show me that not only
06:36does it work better,
06:37but that you can find
06:38new levels with it
06:39because now that you're playing
06:41at the level of,
06:42you know,
06:43competent offense across the league,
06:45maybe like around average,
06:47other teams are also
06:49elevating what they do.
06:50So how can you elevate
06:51as the season goes along?
06:52That's the name of the game
06:53for everybody,
06:54especially if you're going
06:54to be playing postseason
06:55football.
