00:00But looking at their season, Stevie, you know, we talk about Scotty.
00:03It seems like in every on camera, every opener throughout the show, we're always constantly looking at history to compare Scotty to whether it be Tiger Woods or the other best in the world to ever do it.
00:16And then Rory McIlroy having a season in which he completes the Grand Slam.
00:19It's kind of fun to end this season with two guys that really are in the top of the game and at the conversation of continuing to cement themselves in legacy.
00:29I think the European side with Rory, right?
00:32Like him winning the Grand Slam and the amount of success he's had on the DP World Tour, winning that championship, however many times in the race to Dubai.
00:41It's it's pretty cool that that we're getting these guys in this environment.
00:45And I'm excited about next year, too, with these two.
00:48Oh, it's going to be great. I mean, they're in the primes of their career.
00:52Rory has finally gotten that hump off his back after 11 Masters, you know, trying to win the career Grand Slam.
00:58He's only the sixth player to do it. And now here we are entering twenty twenty six.
01:02Jordan still has a chance. Nobody talks about him at the PGA Championship at Aronimic.
01:06He'll have another chance outside of Philadelphia to join that club.
01:10And then Scotty will be the odds on favorite. And we were on the air the other day.
01:14Smiley, I did not know. Terry Gannon told us Sunday, Father's Day, U.S.
01:20Open Shinnecock is Scotty's birthday.
01:23And he could become the seventh guy to win the career Grand Slam, could be the eighth if Jordan wins the PGA four weeks before him.
01:31So between Scotty and Rory Smiley, you know, they're such great players.
01:37They're so motivated. They're so focused on what they do.
01:41And I think that they will bring an entertainment value to the Optum Golf Channel games, but they'll also bring a lot of skill.
01:49And one of the things I've always said to you before, one of the great things about you and all the other great PGA Tour players who have won before or who are still trying to win for the first time.
01:58You guys aren't just professional golfers.
02:01We learned this during COVID.
02:02You and I are huge sports fans.
02:04We talk about sports and family more than we ever talk about golf when we're together personally having a few drinks or having dinner.
02:10Fans matter.
02:12Energy matters.
02:14And when we saw that during COVID and we saw sports being performed without the fans, there was a missing element to sports on all levels.
02:24And what these guys learned more than anything, in my opinion, is that they're not just professional golfers.
02:30They're performers.
02:31You guys go out there.
02:32You don't even realize it, Smiley.
02:33You guys go out there every week and you're showing off because you're so great at what you do to people who play the sport or just love the sport and are just in awe at watching the best players on the planet.
02:44So I think seeing Scotty and Rory miked up, showing some personality that they normally wouldn't show when they're focused on trying to win a PGA Tour event or a major championship, you know, with some skills.
02:56And like we talked about, a little bit of that big break element, it takes them out of their element a little bit.
03:01And I think it's going to be a lot of fun to see those two in particular, how they go about their business, the seriousness of competing, and also the joy of being able to just kind of let loose a little bit and have some fun.
03:14So, let's take a little bit of that.
03:15Let's see.
03:15Let's see.
03:16Let's see.
03:17Let's see.
03:17Let's see.
