00:00And this is over the last seven Ryder Cups. When you look at just the amount of total points available, Europe has scored 99 and a half. United States has scored 96 and a half, which is very, very tightly contested.
00:14If you want to break it down even further, Europe has scored 13 points in foursomes. USA has scored 24, so an eight-point advantage there for Europe in foursomes. Four ball, United States has a five-point advantage in that session, or I should say both of those sessions. Singles, this is the most interesting one.
00:35In the last seven Ryder Cups and singles, Europe is at 42 points. United States is at 42 points, so dead even in singles.
00:43So we have this in our head that, oh, you just get to singles, and it's a United States game.
00:48But over the last seven Ryder Cups, Europe and the United States have scored the exact same amount of points in singles. Isn't that crazy?
00:56It's interesting. Breaking it down, obviously, there are different kind of margins of victory,
01:02but then when you look at the kind of just the individual matches and put them all together, it's a lot tighter than we think it is,
01:08or at least some of the preconceived notions we have around format, maybe not necessarily the case.
01:14And there's four rookies on this United States team, which is a pretty big number compared to the only one rookie from the Europe side.
01:23But over the last six Ryder Cups, the U.S. is impressive. 47-25-10 record for rookies.
01:30So this group of rookies has a chance to build on, you know, a system where guys show up and they play well as rookies,
01:37which the captain's picks, not quite as good, but the rookies have seemed to play well.
01:42I'll tell you what, Smiley, it was a fun journey through your notes in game show style.
01:49Hey, for the most part, about 80% of it was accurate.
01:52Yeah, close enough.
